Who Am I Reading For?
As a second-grader, I often ask myself, "Who am I reading for?" Is it for my parents, who always encourage me to pick up a book and read? Is it for my teachers, who expect me to improve my reading skills? Or is it for myself, to explore the wonders of the world through words and stories?
At this age, I am still discovering the joy of reading. I enjoy the adventure of following a story, meeting new characters, and learning about different places and cultures. Each book I read opens a new window to the world, and I am eager to explore what lies beyond.
Mostly, I believe I am reading for myself. Reading helps me understand the world better, improves my imagination, and broadens my horizons. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment when I finish a book, knowing that I have accomplished something meaningful and valuable.
In the end, reading is not just about acquiring knowledge or improving skills. It is also about finding joy, exploring the world, and growing as a person. So, who am I reading for? I believe I am reading for myself, for the pure joy and wonderment that comes with every new story I encounter.
