Teaching Aids:two clothes; pictures of food and clothes; recorder; multi-media system
Teaching Procedure
一.Review
Invite some pairs to act out the dialogues they made about how they go shopping.
二.Lead-in 1.
1.Ask them whether they forgot the things they should buy.
2.Tell them the use of shopping list.
三.About Making Shopping List
1.Show some pictures of goods and ask students to say out their names and remember the colors.
2.Give students 3 minutes to fill in the following chart and try to guess the price of each goods.
3.Check answer by asking and answering questions:
What color is it? ---It’s……
Which one is in red/green/…?---It’s……….
4.Ask someone to guess the price of each item and see who guess right.
5.Show students the price of each item
6.Group Work:: (Making shopping list)
Give them 3 minutes to discuss with their partners and make a list of things they want to buy if they only have 500 yuan for shopping.
7. Invite some group leaders to give a report of what they are going to buy 四.Lead- in 2:
1. Ask them what they will do after making a shopping list. (Answer: Go shopping )
2. Tell them KangKang and Michael go to a clothes shop today.
五.About Text 1
1. Ask them to listen to the tape and try to guess the meaning of the sentence showed.
How do the pants fit?
2. Ask some students to say their understanding of the sentence showed.
3. Show them two clothes.(one is too big/ long for teacher, one is too small/short). And ask “how do the clothes fit?” Lead students answer “It’s too …”. Then introduce the meaning of “how do sth fit?” and how to answer.
4. Pair work: Show students som e pictures and ask them to ask and answer with
partners according to the information given in pictures. Then invite some pairs to share their dialogs.
5. Explain other language points contained
6. Ask students to read the text after the tape. Then practice it in groups. 六. About text “2”
1. Show them the flash of this dialogue and ask them to guess the meaning of “How do you like this pair of running shoes?
2. Ask them to tell their understanding of the sentence and then tell them the correct answer.
3. Show them some pictures and ask them to practice the use of “How do you like…?” in pairs.
4. Invite some pairs to act the short dialogs they made.
5. Explain other language points in this dialogue.
6. Show students the flash again and ask them to read after it.
7. Play roles: Practice the dialogue with students.
8. Do listening exercise and finish “2b”
七.Sum up the knowledge learned today with students.
八.Group work:
1. Give students five minutes to make a new dialogue about shopping with the new knowledge learned today.
2. Invite some groups to act the dialogues they made.
九.Homework:
1. Review the knowledge learned tod ay
2.Finish exercise of Section B on the Exercise Book.
3. Preview Section C。
