励志英语演讲小短文篇二
Many people think that they have to accept whatever life throws at them. They'll say, "This is my fate, my destiny. I cannot change it."
Of course not!
You don't have to suffer needlessly. Your destiny depends on you, not onany other external factors.
I know someone who says she just accepts what life gives her because shehas done everything she can to improve it.
Guess what her lifestyle is?
She wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes back home, relaxes, chatswith people, watches TV, then goes to sleep. Next day, the same routinary cycleensues.
Huh Is this what she calls "doing her best?"
She believes she has tried her best and just accepts it in her heart thatthis is the life that God has intended for her to live;
that her luck can onlychange if God wills it.
Of course God wants us to be happy and live our life to the fullest, but wehave to do our share of exerting the effort to live
the life of our dreams.
You reap what you sow.
You just don't sit around and wait for a million dollars to fall from thesky. You have to get off the couch, get your eyes off the TV screen, get yourhands off the phone (unless it contributes to your success), and get your mindand body to work!
If your life is not meant the way you want it to be, don't just say: "Ourtime will come." or "Things will get better some day."
Don't expect your luck to change, unless you do something about it. Ifsomething goes wrong, don't just regard it as a temporary setback; but use it asfeedback. Learn your lesson, make the most of the situation, and do something toresolve the problem.
It's not enough to think positive; you also have to act positive. If someone's life is in trouble, do you just hope and pray that things willturn out fine? Of course not! You got to do anything you can to save theperson.
So it is with your own life. It is not enough to hope for the best, but youhave to DO your best.
In other words, don't just stand (or sit) there, do something to improveyour life!

Discovering Beauty
Life is full of beauty. Beauty lies not> Let beauty be our
guide to understand ourselves. People alwayshave a strong desire for better appearance. Whatever their age, size, or shape, they hope to look more (读书笔记)attractive. Beauty is> Let beauty be our way to communicate with nature. At the foot ofthe hill, we see beauty running in the clear river smoothly.> Let beauty be our bridge between man and nature. In the harmony, beauty is a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for everin flight.
Beauty is something to see, to breathe, to feel and to complete.Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
短篇英语演讲稿篇四
Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
Im greatly honored to have this oppotunity to stand here and give a speach on the following two pieces of news.
The first one is about sports.David Beckham will reject the chance to make one final appearance for England, a person familiar with the former captains plans said on Thursday. Coach Fabio Capello announced on Wednesday 35-year-old Beckham was too old to continue playing competitively for England, but offered him an opportunity to say farewell to fans in an exhibition match.
And the next is an international news: Baghdad suicide bomb hits army recruits, kills 61.
A suicide bomber sat for hours Tuesday among hundreds of army recruits before detonating nail-packed explosives strapped to his body, killing 61 people and casting new doubt on the ability of Iraqi forces as US troops head home.
Bodies of bloodied young men, some still clutching job applications in their hands, were scattered on the ground outside the military headquarters in central Baghdad. Some of the estimated 1,000
men who had gathered there before dawn for a good spot in line were so desperate for work they returned hours after being treated at hospitals for injuries in the attack.
So much of my report, thank you for listening.
英语演讲稿范文短篇五
The England international defender thinks that the Toffees have a real chance of beating the Reds for fourth spot as long as they continue to have faith in themselves.
As Liverpool drew with Middlesbrough on Saturday, Everton pulled level on points after beating Manchester City and Lescott is in buoyant mood.
"We need to believe that it is possible we can break in," he explained.
"At the start of the season, we thought it might be a bit hard, but now that we are in there, in contention after Christmas, you have got to believe you can push for fourth place."
Finishing ahead of Liverpool would be a huge accomplishment for the blue and white half of the city, but Lescott wants his side to take things one step at a time.
"We can't look too far ahead and get carried away. We know that we need to win next week and then move on to the Chelsea game, which is going to be massive for us," he continued.
"If we could overtake Liverpool it would be a major achievement for us, but we are just focused on the next game and if we get the right result, who knows?
"Last season we got some great results and frustrated teams. This season we are getting results and playing some nice football at the same time."

Hello everyone:
A survey about smokers in a middle school tells that although 90% of all students never smoke, 3% of them often smoke and 7% sometimes do. In other words, 10% of the students smoke. That’s terrible.
As we know, smoking is harmful to our health. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives because of it. Smoking not only does harm to your health, but also wastes money. Because, a fire may be caused by cigarette ends. It’s a pity to learn that one ends in death by smoking.
In all, smoking is so dangerous that we should keep away from it.
That’s all!
Thank you!

every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. my friends will listen to me when i want to speak, will
wipe my eyes when i cry, will take care of me when i am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
as students, we could share more time with our friends. the friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. i often
feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. especially when i had justin as one of my best friends. justin was my english teacher from the usa. i met him in 1996 when i was a student who could only speak very little english. justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. he taught us english by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing.
i could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we
fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on christmas eve. it was so interesting and unforgettable. justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study english well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives. i know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts. facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care. justin is the best friend i have ever had, and i know i will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.
