Recently, I went to visit some relatives with my family. It was a great opportunity to catch up with everyone and spend some quality time together. We had a lot of fun, but there were also some challenges that we had to overcome.
One of the biggest challenges was the language barrier. Some of my relatives only spoke Chinese, while others only spoke English. This made it difficult to communicate with everyone and made some conversations awkward and uncomfortable.
However, we were able to overcome this challenge by using a combination of both languages. We would start the conversation in English and then switch to Chinese when necessary. This helped everyone feel included and allowed
us to have more meaningful conversations.
For example, my aunt only speaks Chinese, but she loves to cook. I wanted to learn how to make her famous dumplings, so I asked her to teach me in Chinese. She was thrilled to share her recipe with me and we had a great time cooking together. If we had only spoken English, I would have
missed out on this wonderful experience.
