The Culture Different You Know About Between China and Other Countries Let’s begin with what’s the culture. Culture is the way a person speaks, the way they dress, the way they act, the food they eat, and all of their social norms. Culture is the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one category of people from anther .Naturally, to some degree, culture means differences.
Continually, let’s go to details. If you have some close alien friends, taking American for an example, you will find an extremely apparent difference between Chinese and American. When you treat them a big meal, all dishes are served, they scream:“What are these? The whole chicken, the whole pig, the whole sheep? Are we expected to eat all these? It’s unbelievable!” It’s true that many Americans love Chinese food, like Gong Bao Chicken but not the whole chicken! There is the culture deference .In Chinese tradition, the food served as whole show the host’s great respect to the guests. While for Americans, those dishes are all animals not food, they claim it’s cruel and crazy to eat animals. In another word, they always avoid associating the food they eat with the living animals. So you’ll never find the whole chicken but the legs and wings served at the American table. It sounds amusing, isn’t it? But it’s the truth.
There are cultural and ideological differences between countries and it’s good to have an understanding about a culture’s customs and ways. But the danger comes when we act on some of generalizations based on faulty observations. However, we always tend to forgive those who don’t mean to offend us, don’t we?
