英语作文在广东是如何度过四季的
The Four Seasons in Guangdong
Hello, my name is Xiaoming, and I'm a 10-year-old boy living in the beautiful province of Guangdong, China. Let me tell you all about how I spend the four seasons here!
Spring (March to May)
Spring is one of my favorite seasons in Guangdong. The weather starts to get warmer, and the trees and flowers begin to bloom. My family and I love to go on picnics in the parks, where we can see the cherry blossoms and other colorful flowers. We also like to visit the Qingxin District in Qingyuan, where we can see thousands of peach trees in full bloom. It's such a pretty sight!
During the spring, my school organizes field trips to farms and gardens, where we learn about different plants and how they grow. We also have a lot of fun outdoor activities, like kite flying and playing badminton. One of my favorite spring traditions is the Qingming Festival, when we clean our ancestors' graves and fly kites to honor them.
Summer (June to August)
Summer in Guangdong is hot and humid, but that doesn't stop us from having fun! My favorite summer activity is going to the beach. We live close to the coast, so my family and I often visit places like Xiamen, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen to swim, build sandcastles, and just enjoy the sun and sea.
During the summer holidays, my parents sometimes take me to visit my grandparents in their village. It's a lot cooler there, and we get to help out on the farm, picking fruits and vegetables. We also play traditional games like hopscotch and jump rope with the other kids in the village.
One thing I love about summer in Guangdong is the delicious fruit. We get to eat lots of mangoes, lychees, and longan, which are all in season. My mom also makes refreshing drinks like sour plum soup and herbal tea to help us beat the heat.
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn is a beautiful time in Guangdong. The weather starts to cool down, and the leaves on the trees turn lovely shades of red, orange, and yellow. My school organizes field trips to places like the Nanling National Forest Park, where we can see the vibrant fall foliage and learn about the different types of trees.
During the autumn, we also celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is one of my favorite holidays. We get to eat delicious mooncakes and admire the full moon with our families. My grandparents always tell us stories about the lady living on the moon and the jade rabbit that keeps her company.
Another fun autumn activity is going to the countryside to pick fruits and vegetables. We get to pick things like pomelos, tangerines, and sweet potatoes, which are all in season. Sometimes, we even go camping and have a barbecue in the great outdoors.
Winter (December to February)
Winter in Guangdong is relatively mild compared to other parts of China, but it's still cool enough for us to enjoy some winter activities. One of my favorites is going ice skating at indoor rinks. It's a lot of fun, even though I sometimes fall down and end up with a few bruises!
During the winter holidays, my family and I like to go hiking in the mountains or visit hot springs. The hot springs are perfect for relaxing and staying warm during the cooler months.
No matter what season it is, there's always something fun and exciting to do in Guangdong. I feel so lucky to live in such a
beautiful and diverse place. From the beaches to the mountains, the cities to the countryside, there's never a dull moment here. I can't wait to see what adventures the next season will bring!。
