As a high school student, the start of a new school year is always an exciting time for me. It's a chance to see my friends again, meet new teachers, and learn new things. This year, however, is a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are new rules and regulations in place to keep us all safe, such as wearing masks and social distancing.
I have mixed feelings about these changes. On one hand, I understand the importance of taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. On the other hand, it can be difficult to connect with others when we are all wearing masks and staying six feet apart.
Nevertheless, I am grateful to be able to attend school in person and have the opportunity to learn from my teachers and classmates. I am also thankful for the
technology that allows us to stay connected even when we are physically apart.
