People in Chengdu loves shopping,you can find mall everywhere in the city, Raffles city,(来 福士广场),global center,IKEA(宜家 ),Sino-Ocean Taikoo li (远洋太古里 ),Intime city (银泰城 ),Ito Yokado(伊藤洋 华堂)...
Chengdu has a long history of more than 3000years old and also is the city whose name hasn't been changed for a single time in history since it was built as a city.
As for the climate ,I want to say an idiom called Shuquanfeiri (蜀犬吠日)which means dogs in Chengdu bark at the sun when the sun comes out. That's because the weather here is always cloudy and humid,based on this ,the skin of girls here are pretty good, so here comes a joke: if you go to Shenzhen,you'll find you're short of money,if you go to Beijing,you'll find your official position is too low ,but if go to Chengdu,you'll find you get married too early.
