七年级英语教研活动记录教研内容Today's English teaching and research activity focused on developing students' writing skills. We discussed the importance of coherence and cohesion in writing, as well as the use of appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
We started the activity by discussing the basic structure of a well-written paragraph, emphasizing the use of topic sentences, supporting details, and concluding sentences. We also emphasized the importance of using transition words and phrases to connect ideas within and between paragraphs.
After that, we conducted a writing exercise in which students were asked to write a paragraph describing their favorite hobby. We provided them with vocabulary and phrases related to hobbies to help them express their ideas more effectively.
We then asked students to exchange their paragraphs with a partner and provide feedback on each other's writing. This peer review process not only helped students identify areas for improvement in their own writing, but also allowed them to learn from their peers' writing.
Finally, we discussed the common errors and mistakes found in the students' writing, such as spelling and grammatical errors, as well as issues related to coherence and cohesion. We provided guidance on how to avoid these errors and encouraged students to continue practicing their writing skills.
