4.Suppose you were being robbed by an armedstrong man, pleasetell me your first reaction.
(possible answers: students will be scared or couldn’t help crying. Suggestion from teacher: calm down at once and try to figure out what to do next: that is, to do whatever the robbers ask you to do, or fight against them? Because life is short and valuable, we cherish lives, we have to think about next question)

Watch a video clip and write a report on “Bank Robbery”with the useful expressions we have learnt today.
1. students will be encouraged to express their ideas on robbery freely.
2. students will be aware of the security problem.

Step 1 Teaching Obejectives:teacher will show students the teaching objectives before turning to study this unit.(1 minute)
Step 2 Lead-in Activities:teacher will ask students several questions to arouse their interest in learning this unit.(6minutes)
1. What can we learn from the title? Can you guess what happened to the writer?
2. Where would robberies take place?
( possible answers: bank robbery, street or corner, car hijacking, etc.)
3. By what means would robber commit robbery?
(possible answers: guns should be the key word, students will guess that the writer might be under the attack of sb. who carried guns, and thus they will be led to next questions)
5. What should we do in order to protect ourselvesfrom being hurt?
(possible answers: be cautious, give in,…)
Step 4Oral Expressions:ask students topractice some usefuloralexpressions related to robbery, for example: (2 minutes)
