Revise the idea about Global warming. Refresh the memory about the reading What Can We do about Global Warming. Ask Ss to refresh the ways about how can we save energy and useful expressions we learned last period.
To evoke the memory about saving energy.

Show Ss some new words that will appear in the listening comprehension. Explain the new words and show them the pictures about them,including fossil fuels, carbon dioxide, nuclear power, Chernobyl.

Conclusion and activities
1.Summarize the expressions of agreement and disagreement appeared in the listening.
2.Listen to the tape again and try to appreciate the agreement and disagreement in the interview.
3.Ss are going to make up an interview about how to save energy with mayor of the city.
4.Ss are going topretend the expert of saving energy, upon what they have learned this period, they are going to prepare a one-minute speech about how to save energy. An example will be displayed.
