We often talk love and happiness, but do you ever focus your eyes on something little.T oday,my topic is autism.Autism or autistic spectrum disorder also called kanner’s syndrome is an extremely developmental handicap, which is often found in kids aging from one to seven.A survey from Guangming Daily revealed that it mainly lies in lack of communication.Getting to the roof of the issue does not necessarily mean that we are ready to explore its st month I participate in an assembly in Hunan University. As a volunteer, I met the children with autism.I stayed with them for three days, having dinner、watching animation movies、play games and sharing funny stories with them.Eventually I feel refreshed that we all have autism when we came into the world with a munication, like stars that lighten up the night, makes me the one standing here.I, as an adult now and a father in the future, should shoulder the responsibility of communicating with my kids.To my disappointment, nowadays, young parents concentrate more on making money and struggling to provide the best for their children. They argue material is power and ignore what kids thought. To remind, the bridge to their children's heart is communication.Let us appreciate them, hug them, talk with themand then warm their hearts.while our journey to solve autism is long,we have bridged the gap between kids and parents. We have found our way back and we know,in our heart, that as for this thrilling time the best is yet to come。

以自闭症为主题的英语作文
以自闭症为主题的英语作文Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that affects individuals in various ways, often manifesting in challenges with social interaction, communication, and behavior. It is a condition that has been increasingly recognized and studied in recent years, yet there remains much to be understood about its causes, characteristics, and optimal treatment strategies. This essay aims to provide a multi-angled, high-quality analysis of autism, addressing various aspects of the condition and discussing the need for high-standard support and inclusion.Firstly, it is essential to recognize that autism is a spectrum condition, meaning that it presents in a wide range of severities and combinations of symptoms. This range of expression is part of what makes autism so complex and challenging to understand. Some individuals with autism may have difficulty with basic communication and social skills, while others may excel in specific areas such as math, music, or art. Therefore, it is crucial to approach each individual with autism as a unique case, recognizing their specific strengths and challenges.Another crucial aspect of autism is its neurobiological basis. Research suggests that autism is linked to differences in brain development and functioning, particularly in areas related to social cognition and communication. These neurobiological differences may explain why individuals with autism often have difficulty understanding and navigating social cues, as well as why they may experience sensory processing issues and repetitive behaviors. Understanding these neurobiological aspects of autism is crucial for developing effective treatment strategies that target the underlying causes of symptoms. However, it is also important to recognize that autism is not solely a neurobiological condition. Social and environmental factors also play asignificant role in shaping the lives of individuals with autism. For example, the level of support and understanding provided by families, schools, and communities can have a profound impact on an autistic person's ability to function and thrive. A supportive and inclusive environment can help individuals with autism develop their social skills, enhance their self-esteem, and achieve their full potential. Conversely, a lack of understanding and support can lead to isolation, frustration, and other negative outcomes.Given the complexity and uniqueness of autism, it is crucial to adopt a multi-faceted approach to supporting individuals with this condition. This includes providing comprehensive educational and therapeutic services that address the specific needs of each individual, as well as promoting awareness and understanding among the general population. It is also essential to involve individuals with autism and their families in the decision-making process, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Moreover, high-quality support for individuals with autism should adhere to strict standards of professionalism and ethics. This includes ensuring that support personnel are well-trained and have the necessary skills to work effectively with autistic individuals. It also involves respecting the autonomy and dignity of autistic individuals, treating them with compassion and respect, and promoting their rights and well-being.In conclusion, autism is a complex condition that requires a multi-angled, high-quality approach to understanding and support. By recognizing the neurobiological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to autism, and by providing comprehensive, individualized support that adheres to high standards of professionalism and ethics, we can help individuals with autism lead fulfilling and meaningful lives within their communities. It is a task that requires the commitment and collaboration of families, professionals, and society at large, but it is a task that is worth undertaking for the sake of those who live with autism and their loved ones.。
关于孤独症的英语演讲
The Children Of the Stars: The Autistic And UsHe is a talent. At seven, he can solve math problems that we university students are confused about. He has a spectacular memory, an amazing gift for music, and a special interest to sequence and machines. He seldom lies and is really strong-minded.Now you may think the god has given him the best gift. However, the cost is, he was born to be lonely, disabled to fit into the normal society. In fact, there is one “him” or “her” in 110 children. They stay with their parents, but their souls seem to wander on another planet. They are called the autistics, or, the children of the stars.Autism is a rather new-discovered disease which is not so familiar to us. The symptoms of the autistics differ from each other, but they have something in common. The main characteristics of autism are social communication disorder and restricted and repetitive behavior. Autistics pay little attention to social relationship, so it is really hard for them to understand the logic of the normal people and the social rules.According to the book Taking The Mystery Out Of Autism, we can classify autism into 3 types: Asperger Syndrome, Rett Syndrome and atypical Autism. People with Asperger syndrome have a higher intelligence and linguistic ability. They are most likely to acquire special talents I mentioned in the beginning. However, they are still clumsy when dealing with social activities, being regarded as "rude" "weird" or "arrogant". For those with Rett syndrome, life will be much harder. They typically have no verbal skills, half of them not able to walk. And Atypical autism refers to autism with other various symptoms. What causes autism? Researches prove that autism comes from brain biology problem. Most of these diseases are believed to be congenital, which means the baby gains that disease before it is born. Researches also discover that boys are four times more likely to be autistic than girls, and less likely to get better. But things are not that pessimistic. According to Dr. V olkmar, the director of the Yale Child Study Center, there is no cure for autism, but people have found various ways to provide the autistics with a better life. For those with serious autism, special rehabilitation centers can offer lifetime care. For those whose symptoms are mild, it is possible for them to develop into society after some specific training. However, in regard of how to treat the adult autistics, people hold two different attitudes. Some think we normal people should show sympathy to them, and shoulder the burden of meeting their basic needs. However, the latest ideas toward the autistics are to respect their living style and uncover their abilities, instead of feeling pity for them. Gareth Nelson, the leader of the UK's autism rights movement, stated that autistic people have their own value, their own shining point, which cannot be judged by normal criteria.Maybe we can put forward more theories on autism, but what I want to state is, they, the autistic, are part of us. Two weeks ago, on April 2nd , the fifth World Autism Awareness Day, a few paintings of autistic children were exhibited in Beijing. They are beautiful, they need our attention and respect. So, let’s convey our love to them, to the “children of the stars”.。

For example, many individuals with autism possess exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of focus, and remarkable memory skills. These attributes, while sometimes causing friction in traditional settings, can lead to extraordinary achievements in various fields such as science, mathematics, art, and technology. One of the most famous examples of someone whose autism has brought significant contributions to society is Temple Grandin. Diagnosed with autism at a young age, Grandin faced numerous challenges but also demonstrated exceptionalabilities in visual thinking. Her unique perspective revolutionized livestock handling practices, making them more humane and efficient. Grandin's story exemplifies how the light can get in through the cracks, providing new insights and advancements that might otherwise be overlooked. Moreover, the emphasis on viewing autism through a positive lens can have a profound impact on the mental health and self-esteem of individuals with autism. The narrativethat focuses solely on deficits can be detrimental, leading to feelings of inadequacy and marginalization. By acknowledging and celebrating the strengths and abilitiesthat come with autism, we can foster a sense of pride andself-worth in individuals with ASD. This shift in perspective can also encourage a more supportive and accepting community, where diversity is not just tolerated but valued.Education plays a crucial role in shaping how society views and interacts with individuals with autism. Inclusive education systems that accommodate different learning styles and needs can help integrate students with autism into mainstream classrooms. This not only benefits students with autism by providing them with a richer social environment but also teaches neurotypical students about empathy, diversity, and the value of different perspectives. Schools that adoptsuch inclusive practices often find that all students benefit from the emphasis on individualized learning and mutual respect.Parents and families of individuals with autism also play a vital role in highlighting the light within the cracks. Raising a child with autism comes with its unique set of challenges, but it also brings opportunities for profound growth and understanding. Families often develop exceptional patience, resilience, and advocacy skills as they navigate the complexities of autism. These families can be powerful advocates for change, promoting policies and practices that recognize and support the diverse needs of the autism community. The workplace is another arena where the strengths of individuals with autism can be leveraged to mutual benefit. Companies that embrace neurodiversity often find that employees with autism bring unique problem-solving skills, creativity, and dedication to their roles. For instance, tech companies have increasingly recognized the value of hiring individuals with autism for their analytical and technical skills. These companies benefit from the innovative thinking and meticulous attention to detail that employees with autism often provide. However, embracing the cracks and allowing the light to shine through requires more than just recognizing thestrengths of individuals with autism. It also necessitates a societal commitment to accessibility, support, and understanding. This means providing adequate resources for early diagnosis and intervention, creating supportive environments that accommodate sensory and communication needs, and promoting public awareness and education about autism.Media representation also plays a significant role in shaping public perception of autism. Positive and accurate portrayals of individuals with autism in movies, television, and literature can help break down stereotypes and foster a more nuanced understanding of the autism spectrum. These representations can show the diversity within the autism community and highlight the various ways in which individuals with autism contribute to society. In conclusion, Leonard Cohen’s metaphor of light shining through the cracks offers a poignant and hopeful perspective on autism. By embracing the unique attributes and abilities of individuals with autism, we can create a more inclusive and enlightened society. This shift in perspective not only benefits individuals with autism by fostering self-esteem and acceptance but also enriches society as a whole by bringing diverse talents and viewpoints to the forefront. As we continue to understand and celebrate the light within the cracks, we move closer to a world where all individuals, regardless of their neurological differences, are valued and empowered.。

Another Side of Communication
Distinguished guests and honorable judges :Good morning/afternoon.We all know communication has changed us---the world is closer than before and we made more friends than we used to. Nevertheless, what will be if we don’t communicate with each other? We often talk love and happiness, but do you ever focus your eyes on something little. Today,my topic is autism.
Autism or autistic spectrum disorder also called kanner’s syndrome is an extremely developmental handicap, which is often found in kids aging from one to seven. A survey from Guangming Daily revealed that it mainly lies in lack of communication. Getting to the roof of the issue does not necessarily mean that we are ready to explore its branches. Last month I participate in an assembly in Hunan University. As a volunteer, I met the children with autism. I stayed with them for three days, having dinner、watching animation movies、play games and sharing funny stories with them. Eventually I feel refreshed that we all have autism when we came into the world with a cry. Communication, like stars that lighten up the night, makes me the one standing here. I, as an adult now and a father in the future, should shoulder the responsibility of communicating with my kids. To my disappointment, nowadays, young parents concentrate more on making money and struggling to provide the best for their children. They argue material is power and ignore what kids thought. To remind, the bridge to their children's heart is communication. Let us appreciate them, hug them, talk with them and then warm their hearts.
while our journey to solve autism is long,we have bridged the gap between kids and parents. We have found our way back and we know,in our heart, that as for this thrilling time the best is yet to come。
