This classic film, directed by William Wyler and released in 1953, has not lost any of its magic and charm over the years. The captivating performances of Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck brought the story to life with their incredible chemistry and undeniable talent.Set against the backdrop of Rome, the film takes us on a journey filled with unexpected adventures, romance, and bittersweet moments. Title: A Roman Interlude: Reflections on "Roman Holiday"As the credits rolled and the endearing notes of "Three Coins in the Fountain" filled the room, I found myself enveloped in a pleasant melancholy, a testament to the timeless charm of "Roman Holiday." This cinematic masterpiece, directed by William Wyler and starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, is not merely a film; it is a whimsical escape into the romantic heart of Rome, an intimate tale of love amidst duty and responsibility. From the very beginning, Hepburn's character, Princess Ann, captivates with her innocent longing for the world beyond the confines of her royal duties. Her spontaneous decision to steal away from her regimented schedule and experience life as an ordinary citizen resonates with anyone who has yearned for freedom from the constraints of their own life. Hepburn imbues Ann with such genuine warmth and vulnerability that it becomes impossible not to root for her in her quest for adventure and self-discovery.The chemistry between Hepburn and Peck, playing the dashing journalist Joe Bradley, is both subtle and powerful. Their relationship evolves organically, built on mutual respectand a growing affection that neither can deny. The scenes where they traverse the city on Bradley's Vespa, laughing and exploring the hidden gems of Rome, are infused with a joyous sense of liberation. It's a testament to the film's ability to make us feel as though we are part of their enchanting adventure.Yet, what truly makes "Roman Holiday" exceptional is its handling of the bittersweet nature of love and life. As the day draws to a close, the reality of Ann's responsibilities and the vast chasm between her world and that of Joe's becomes painfully clear. The final goodbye, laden with unspoken emotions and the silent acknowledgement of an unforgettable connection, leaves a poignant mark on the viewer. It speaks to the universal truth that some of the most profound moments in life are those we cherish for their transient nature, knowing they can never be revisited or replaced."Roman Holiday" is a celebration of life's fleeting moments, a reminder to cherish the adventures we dare to take and the connections we make along the way. It captures the beauty of Rome not just as a backdrop but as a character in its own right, inviting us to fall in love with the city's charm as much as with the story unfolding within it. Above all, it's a gentle reminder of the magic that exists in taking a chance, inembracing the unknown, and in finding love where we least expect it.As I pondered on the journey of Princess Ann and Joe Bradley, "Roman Holiday" served as a gentle yet profound reminder that sometimes, the most memorable interludes are the simplest ones—a day spent in delightful company, in a city steeped in history, creating memories that last a lifetime. In its own subtle way, the film encourages us to seek out our own "Roman Holiday," to embrace the spontaneity of life, and to hold dear the moments that make our hearts sing, even if only for a fleeting day.。

1I have recently watched the classic film "Roman Holiday" and it has left a deep impression on me.The story of Princess Ann and Joe Bradley is truly touching. Princess Ann, at first, seemed trapped by her royal duties and responsibilities. But during her adventure in Rome, she showed a brave and curious side. I was especially impressed when she cut her hair short and rode a scooter freely through the city. It made me realize that everyone has a desire for freedom and adventure. The love between Ann and Joe was beautiful yet bittersweet. They knew their love couldn't last because of their different backgrounds and responsibilities. This made me think about the balance between love and duty. Sometimes, we have to make difficult choices in life. The scenes in Rome were also wonderful. The ancient buildings, the lively streets, and the warm sunshine all added to the charm of the story. It made me dream of one day visiting this amazing city.Overall, "Roman Holiday" is not just a movie, but a lesson about life, love, and freedom. It has taught me to cherish every moment of freedom and to be brave in facing my responsibilities.2The movie "Roman Holiday" is a timeless classic that has left a deep impression on me. The humorous scenes had me laughing out loud. For instance, when PrincessAnn was trying to escape from her duties and ended up having all sorts of funny encounters in the city, it was truly hilarious. I couldn't stop giggling at her innocent and clumsy moments. However, there were also touching scenes that brought tears to my eyes. The scene where Princess Ann had to part ways with Joe, knowing that their time together was limited due to her responsibilities, was heart-wrenching. It made me realize the sacrifices one has to make for duty and the pain of leaving behind something precious. One of my favorite characters was Princess Ann herself. Her transformation from a sheltered princess to a free-spirited young woman was beautifully portrayed. Her curiosity and eagerness to experience the real world were infectious. The scenes of her exploring the city, trying new things, and interacting with ordinary people showed her vulnerability and charm.Overall, "Roman Holiday" was not just a movie but an emotional journey that made me feel a wide range of emotions. It was a wonderful entertainment that I will cherish for a long time.。

As he is leaving, Bradley, quietly slips her the photos that his friend Irving had taken and lets her know that his story and pictures of their time together will never be published (公布).The charming Audrey Hepburn plays a modern princewho takes a day on Rome. She meets up with reporter Peck and wise-cracking photographer Albert. Peck and Hepburn fall in love, though Peck plans to sell an exclusive story with the princess. Roman Holiday is a fun romantic comedy, but stays realistic (现实) with its commentary on society and royalty罗马假日英文观后感Roman Holiday is a classic romantic comedy. Princess Ann is a royal princess ofan unspecified country. One night she visits Rome to do her official duties, but every minutes of her time is scheduled. Her doctor gives a sedative to help her sleep, but she secretly leaves her country embassy and goes out alone to experience Rome. After she falls asleep on a public bench because of the injection, which is given by her doctor. Joe Bradley meet her by chance and he does not recognize her as a princess. It was one of a charming comedy which is starring Audrey Hepburn. Her acting was so fun, this movie makes me hilarious. If you have never seen this movie, I strongly recommend this movie. Audery Hepburn was a royal princess in this movie, and also she was my princess in my heart.罗马假日英文观后感when people comment on this movie here, people all failed to mention another historic event which just happpend before the release of that movie in 1950s. Princess Anne of the British Royal family fell in love with a common man(who unfortunately was divorced--one needs to understand that in 1950s, divorces was like a dirty record in your credit history, which will damage your public image and credibility). It was also not acceptable at that to see a marriage between a common man and a lady with blue blood. IN constrast to King Edward who gave up royal position for her beloved one, she finally gave up this relationship under the tremendous pressure. The cruel thing was that all news media published her give-in in headlines and it flashed on the street too. It was a sensational event in Uk and US.Roman holiday almost replicated that story with unbelievably similar details. Thats why it was so popular and so touching for many people in Europe and US.this movie launched Audrey, an unknown and obscure swiss lady into stardom over night. She got Oscar that year and started her legend. With a very nice blend of fantasy and reality, and two very likable stars, Roman Holiday is both entertaining and thoughtful. Sometimes it is very funny, and at other times it makes you feel a great sympathy and warmth towards the characters. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are ideal in the leading roles, and the story is very clever in getting a lot of mileage out of a si-mp-le idea without pushing things too far, which makes it quite effective. The idea of PrinceAnn (Audrey) slipping away unnoticed and unrecognized for a day of fun and freedom from responsibility is of course fanciful, but it works for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is Pecks role as a pragmatic newsman. He is a good balance for Hepburns charm and energy, remaining calm and logical without ever becoming cold or distant. You feel as if you could spend a lot more than a couple of hours in their company. And how could you improve on Eddie Alberts performance as Pecks photographer friend? The movie also adds in the atmosphere of Rome itself, with some creative scenes that make good use of the setting. There are many fine moments in a story that at times seems almost like a daydream, and then it brings the characters back to reality in a moving way. Its not an easy combination to pull off, but here it all fits together very well, to make the kind of classic worth remembering, and one which you can watch and enjoy more than once.。

Title: "Roman Holiday": A Touching Symphony of Love and ResponsibilityThe 1953 film "Roman Holiday," under the skilled direction of William Wyler and starring the evergreen Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, portrays a brief yet profound love story against the backdrop of the ancient city of Rome. This is not just a romantic film; it delves deeply into themes of responsibility, choice, and sacrifice. In the film, Princess Ann (played by Hepburn) is exhausted from her life constrained by protocol, yearning to experience the freedom of an ordinary person. Her secret escape seems to offer a brief taste of that freedom. The chance encounter with Joe Bradley (Peck), a reporter, unfolds like a fairy tale in the process of exploring Rome. However, what touches me most is not just the sweetness and humor of their time together but the unavoidable sense of duty and the final reluctance to part. The film’s plot is simple yet full of emotional depth. From the serendipitous meeting on the streets of Rome to the heartfelt farewell at the press conference, every frame reveals the complex growth and transformation of the characters.Princess Ann initially appears as a figure bound by protocol, but through her night escapade, she gradually showcases her true self—a young woman filled with curiosity and a longing for freedom. In contrast, Joe Bradley's character development is equally captivating. His initial plan was to secure an exclusive interview, but as he spends more time with Ann, his attitude and feelings gradually change, revealing a conflict between love and career. The film’s exploration of responsibility and love is very profound. When Princess Ann ultimately chooses to return to her royal duties, a deep sadness emerges from this helpless choice. At that press conference, her silent entrusting of photos to Joe and her calm, composed demeanor when addressing him as "Mr. Bradley" make their love sublime. This scene is both a testament to her growth and a poignant display of sacrificing personal emotions for greater responsibilities."Roman Holiday" not only tells a touching love story but also depicts the maturity and greatness of an individual willing to bear heavy responsibilities for the greater good. The charm of the film lies in its ability to inspire deep reflection among audiences through delicate portrayals of its characters, making it a timeless classic in romantic film history.。

Roman Holiday aftertasteI recently had the opportunity to watch the classic film "Roman Holiday" directed by William Wyler. The film was released in 1953 and features Audrey Hepburn in her breakout role as Princess Ann and Gregory Peck as American journalist Joe Bradley. It is a romantic comedy that has stood the test of time and continues to be highly regarded by audiences worldwide. The story starts with Princess Ann, who is on a diplomatic tour of Europe, arriving in Rome. However, she becomes overwhelmed by her royal duties and decides to escape from her heavily guarded palace. By chance, Ann meets Joe Bradley, who initially does not recognize her as the princess. Seeing an opportunity for a great story, Joe decides to spend the day with her, pretending to be an average tourist. Throughout the day, Ann experiences a newfound sense of freedom and adventure, while Joe begins to fall in love with her.One of the aspects that captivate me about "Roman Holiday" is the enchanting performance of Audrey Hepburn. In her role as Princess Ann, Hepburn embodies innocence, vulnerability, and a longing for a normal life. She perfectly portrays the transformation of a young royal confined by her responsibilities into a carefree and spontaneous young woman. Hepburn's beauty and grace captured the hearts of the audience, and her performance earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress.Gregory Peck's portrayal of Joe Bradley is equally impressive. He plays the role of a charming, yet ethical journalist who initially sees Ann as apotential source for a big scoop. However, as the day progresses, Joe's perspective changes, and he begins to genuinely care for Ann. Peck's chemistry with Hepburn is palpable, and their on-screen dynamic adds depth to the story. The enchanting backdrop of Rome also plays a significant role in the film. The city's iconic landmarks, such as the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain, provide a stunning visual feast for the audience. The black and white cinematography captures the beauty and charm of Rome, transporting viewers to a bygone era. The picturesque scenery adds to the romantic atmosphere of the film and enhances the overall viewing experience.Additionally, "Roman Holiday" explores themes of duty, responsibility, and the desire for personal freedom. Princess Ann, burdened by her royal obligations, longs for a taste of normalcy. Her day spent with Joe allows her to break free from the constraints of her position and experience life as an ordinary person. This theme resonates with many viewers, as it reminds us of the universal desire to escape the pressures and expectations placed upon us.Furthermore, the film masterfully blends comedy and romance. The comedic elements, such as Ann's comical encounters with everyday people and the language barrier she faces, provide lighthearted moments that generate laughter. Meanwhile, the budding romance between Ann and Joe unfolds gradually, creating a sense of anticipation and emotional connection."Roman Holiday" is a timeless classic that continues to captivate audiences decades after its release. It is a beautifully crafted film thatcombines stellar performances, breathtaking scenery, and a compelling story. The film's ability to evoke a range of emotions, from laughter to heartache, is a testament to its enduring appeal. In conclusion, "Roman Holiday" is a masterpiece that deserves its reputation as one of the greatest romantic comedies of all time. Audrey Hepburn's captivating performance, Gregory Peck's charm, and the enchanting backdrop of Rome all contribute to the film's irresistible charm. It is a film that transports viewers to a world of romance, adventure, and the possibility of finding true love. Watching "Roman Holiday" is an experience that leaves a lasting aftertaste, reminding us of the power and beauty of cinema.。

Thanks to the strong recommendations from my friends ,I have recently enjoyed the film ‘Roman Holiday’.This film has impressed me a lot, which is acheerfully charming romantic comedy, something of a fairy tale. Its memorable qualities lie primarily in its two leading stars, who are both perfect in their roles. As a remarkable work in the film history, this film is really worth watching. The film ‘Roman Holiday’ can be summarized in such a delightful story: Princess Anne, who was performed by Audrey Hepburn, was getting bored with her restricted schedule when she was on a publicizedtour to Rome. One night, she sneaked out of her luxurious residence and fell asleep on a public bench in central Rome. However, she was found by Joe Bradley, an American newspaper reporter, who was performed by Gregory Peck. Joe took her home without knowing who she truly was. Anyway, he was subject to make a big fortune by secretly interview the princess when the truth turned out. But instead of that, after showing Ann around the city and having a good time with her, he forced himself to say farewell to her, for he knew the romance between them oughtn’t to be happened because of their g reat difference in standing, even though they had fallen in love with each other. In the end the truth comes out and the princess realizes that her duty to her country and family come first and she reluctantly returns to her official role. The two meet briefly at the end during her press conference. She addresses Bradley as Mr. Bradley justlike the others. Tears can be seen easily lurking in the princess's eye during her seeing Bradley, but there's a sense that both her brief taste of unscheduled freedom and her experience of first love have given her maturity and self assurance. As he is leaving, Bradley, quietly slips her the photos that his friend Irving had taken and lets her know that his story and pictures of their time together will never be published .The end of the romantic film is really disappointing to most of the audience, though it ought to be imagined at first. However, Audrey Hepburn had successfully performed Ann as a naughty, naive and sweet angel, who ordered a glass of expensive champagne without thinking, who curiously had her first cigarette, who fell in love with a poor but kind man, and who finally firmly returned to the place she hated, only because of her responsibility.Roman Holiday is a fun romantic comedy, but stays realistic with its commentary on society and royalty.。

“Roman Holiday” Review
Not every story can become a classic, after watching “Roman holiday”, I learned a lot . the princess thirst for freedom. She met Jo Bradley in Rome, finally she had to leave him for her country.
Even the princess also have the life she didn’t like, moreover us?
We are all desire freedom .Sometimes, too much work will make us feel tired, we can learn to relax ourselves and enjoy wonderful holidays, but after the holidays, we also need to go back to our homes like the princess, and need to take on our responsibility.

“Brave” Review
On the second of July .I watched a movie called “brave”.
In our lives, we should be brave to fight for what we really need. We also should thank the people who love us, cherish the time you spend with them and communicate with each other. More importantly, when you encounter
something evil, don’t give up on
yourself and indulge in it, to be brave and fight it.You should do the things
you think right . Only by doing this, you can be successful, become a real brave man.
