一、components of engine starting system A typical starting system has five basic components : battery , key switch , battery cables , magnetic switch. 二、function of engine system The vehicle’s starting system is designed to turn the engine over until it can operate under its own power. To do this, the starter motor receives electrical power from the storage battery. The starter motor then converts this energy into mechanical energy , which is transmitted through the drive mechanism to the engine’s fly-wheel.
