结尾段写作步骤
结尾段写作步骤可分为两步,第一步是复述己方观点,第二步是总结支撑己方观点的原因。
1. 示例1
例题:Providing the Internet access is as important as other services, like building roads, so the government should provide it at no cost. (2015年4月13日大陆考题)
己方观点:The government should not offer the service at the expense of the taxpayers.
理由1:First, Government subsidized free Internet is a breach of political principle.
理由2:The assumption that the Internet is as important as other infrastructure services is incorrect
结尾段:In conclusion, I think government should not assumethe responsibility to offer free Internet service. (复述观点) The proposal not only is a breach of democratic and fair principle (总结理由1), but mistakenly claims the Internet is as critical as other infrastructure. (总结理由2)
2.示例2
例题:People learn things better from those at their own level—such as fellow students or co-workers—than from those at a higher level,such as teachers or supervisors. (Official TOEFL Practice 4)
己方观点:We should be learning from our teachers or supervisors who are apparently more knowledgeable and experienced.
理由1:Studying from your teachers is the best way to gain new knowledge.
理由2:People at your own level do not know much more than you.
结尾段:In conclusion, learning from your supervisor and teachers is the best way to improve yourself. (复述观点) Not only can they pass on knowled ge to you effectively (总结理由1), but you can also benefit from their experiences. (总结理由2)
3.示例3
例题:Life today is easier and more comfortable than it was when your grandparents were children. (TPO 6)
己方观点:Today's life is indeed much easier and more comfortable than at any time in history.
理由1:We have much better education and health services are readily available.

理由2:You can reach the outside world much more conveniently.
结尾段:The 21st century lifestyle is apparently much more convenient and the world is much safer. (复述观点) Not only can we enjoy the top-notch public services (总结理由1), people around the world have formed strong ties due to the development of information technology and methods of transportation. (总结理由2)
4. 示例4
例题:The more money people have, the more they should give away to charity. (2013年12月14日北美考题)
己方观点:People should make donations to charities which correspond to the size of their wealth.
理由1:First of all, donating money to charity groups can benefit the long-term economy substantially.
理由2:Giving money to medical research charity organizations can accelerate the research of deadly diseases that afflict ordinary people as well as the wealthy.
结尾段:In conclusion, I believe the society as a whole should form a widely accepted consensus that the amount of donation you make should be proportionate to the size of your wealth. (复述观点) The rich people will benefit from both economic prosperity (总结理由1) and the development of medical technology. (总结理由2 )
5. 示例5
例题:The best way to reduce air pollution is that government to raise the cost of fuel (petrol) of the cars. (2013年4月27日北美考题)
己方观点:There are many alternatives that are equally effective in terms of controlling or even eliminating air pollution.
理由1:A cost-effective public transportation system is the most straigh tforward way to solve the air pollution problem.
理由2:The annoying problem of air pollution could also be completely eradicated through the use of new energy sources.
结尾段:In conclusion, there are many other effective options available to eliminate air pollution and improve our air quality other than raising fuel price. (复述观点) Their successful implementation of better public transportations (总结理由1) and the development of “New Energy” can insure that air pollution will no longer be a problem for mankind in the future. (总结理由2)
6. 示例6
例题:A person should never make an important decision alone. (Official TOEFL Practice 5)
己方观点:On many occasions, especially people have responsibility to make decisions by yourself.
理由1:No one can substitute the role of decision-makers who have to decide in the critical moments.
