This product is successfully developed on the basis of assimilating foreign advanced technology and analysis of power supply status of our country. Among them, the position of lower earthing switch can be watched through watching window( with selection). The following picture shows the switch status :Closing Open EarthingThe moving and fixed contacts are sealed in enforced epoxy resin enclosure. SF6 gas of 0.04Mpa is filled in enclosure (ambient temp. is 20℃). The annual leakage ratio of switch is less than 1%, the internal water content of new LBS shall be no greater than 150ppm, the internal pressure of LBS can be watched through SF6 pressure variometer connected to inner space.3.2Switch adopts MAG arc-extinguishing principle: three-phase rotating contact is fixed in sealing box, uponthe departure of fixed and moving contact of open switch, there is electro-arc in magnetic field of permanent magnet (in fixed contact), and rotate around fixed contact on the effect of electro-magnetic field. At this time electrical arc is fast lengthened. Depending on the excellent arc-extinguishing performance of SF6 gas, the electrical arc is extinguished when coming to zero. Because of the enough clearance between moving and fixed contact, which avoid the possibility of re-strike of electrical arc.3.3The three phase arrangement of switch is of vertical structure, three-phase bus can be chosen, the color and4. Operating mechanism4.1 There are two types of mechanism of LBS: single spring mechanism (I type) and dual-spring mechanism (IItype). The difference is single spring mechanism is applicable in I/O unit of Ring net without requirement of tripping. While dual-spring mechanism is with tripping capability, which is applicable in fuse-LBS combined apparatus, for use of three phase interlock tripping after fusing of fuse. The above two types of mechanism can realize CO by adding motor and dual-spring mechanism can open by using electro-magnet. Power supply of motor shall be out connected. 4.2 Mechanism si with interlock:a.LBS cannot be operated after closing of earthing switch b. Earthing switch cannot be operated after closing of LBSc. Front lower door interlock can be lead out, after open of front lower door, LBS cannot be closed; it canonly be opened when LSB is earthed.4.3 Operation method of LBSNote: this equipment is HV class equipment, its rated service voltage is far higher than the safety voltage specified nationally. Before operation, please fully get familiar of related stipulation concerning HV operation and strictly abidance. Any unprofessional operator shall pass related professional training and get familiar of operation specification.Guidance panel diagrammatic sketch of load switchClosing operation: (1)Insert theoperation handle intoearthing operatedhole, anti-clockwise rotate theoperated handle about 180 degree, until earthing switch opening, switch status indicator is shown opening position. (2) Insert the handle into switch operated hole, closewise rotate handle 180 degree to switch closing, the switch status indicator is shown closing position. If the switch is on the opening position, it will be default sequence (1).Opening operation: for single spring mechanism, insert handle into switch operated hole, anti-clockwise rotatehandle about 180 degree, until switch opening, switch status indicator is shown opening position. For double-spring mechanism, push the button in the opening operated hole( single spring mechanism without this type operated hole and button.)Earthing operation: First confirm switch is in opening, then insert the handle into earthing operated hole, clockwise rotate handle to close the earth switch.After switch chosen electric function operation organization, load switch has tow operation methods—manual and automatic. These two operation functions are optional, without interlock. Customer can choose automatic closing、manual opening operation method; also can choose manual closing、automatic opening operation method. If choose automatic operate load switch, please push the relative button.5. Maintenance and storage5.1 In following station, switch should be done maintenance check:1) After installation, check equipment before power transmission;2) Three months after first running;3) After five years;4) After full-load operation 100 times;5) After mechanical operation 10000 times;6) Other necessary checksExcept the above necessary checks, customer shall table periodic inspection for switchgear in normal conditions.Checking items: Main circuit、insulation level of earthing circuit and auxiliary circuit; main circuit resistance;SF6 pressure; item 3 and 5 should take mechanical performance check for mechanism.For SF6 pressure, there is an affinity between SF6 pressure and ambient temperature, refer to clause 7.2 SF6 pressure performance curve. Normal pressure of switchgear is between 0.04-0.02Mpa. If pressure is less than0.02Mpa, switchgear can normal use, but can’t cut off the load current, please contact us. In normal condition,we premise that all the load switch can use more than 15 years.5.2 Transportation and acceptanceDuring transportation, it should be no serious shock and not allowed to bottom-up or roll the switch. Before open the box, check whether the switch package was damaged, all the things should be taken in a dry site.When open the box, please protect the product and avoid damage. After open the box, timely check the external appearance, whether each element has breakage、water penetration or serious wetting; check whether pressure meter is normal(normal pressure is 0.04Mpa)Note: When transportation after open the box, prohibit to apply the external force on the mechanism cover, avoid exerciser distortion or movement that switchgear reject to close or open.5.3 StorageThis product should be stored in a site which has good ventilation、average daily temperature not more than 85% and can prevent inventing any harmful gas. TT-FFS:Any TT-FFS can be plugged into the end of TT-MLC leader cable, the end of the main circuit or at the end of anybranch. The TT-FFS includes the end-of-line connections within its body.C. Pre-terminated TT5000 cable sections:Pre-terminated sections of cable (like the 5-ft demolength of TT5000-HSE included in this demo kit) alsoincorporate the end-of-line connection. Pre-terminatedsections can be ordered in any length and are useful for one-way runs under tanks, sensing in sumps and vaults or other applications where the run of cable will not need to be extended.5. As soon as the sensor(s) are connected to the 702transmitter in one of the above configurations, the 702should indicate No Leak Detection Alarms and No CableBreaks, or “SIM Normal” if using TTDM-128 alarm panel.6. To demonstrate the cable break detection capability,simply disconnect any metal connector in the sensorsystem. The 702 transmitter will send a cable break alarm on the next update cycle.7. Add a small quantity of naphtha (about 2 milliliters is all that is necessary) into the bottom of the container so that it just contacts the center of the TT-FFS protective screen bottom. The TT-FFS will react as soon as the “fuel spill’reaches the sensor blade. The 702 transmitter will send a leakalarm signal on its next update.7. Usually the TT-FFS will reset with air drying in one to two hoursafter it is removed from the naphtha. For the first one or tworesets, it is helpful to dip the TT-FFS into Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA),rubbing alcohol that can be purchased in any drug store. Let theTT-FFS sensor soak in the alcohol for 10 to 20 minutes, then airdry. Take care to avoid short-circuiting terminals of opposite polarity.- Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds, chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer If a battery cannot be installed immediately it should be stored in a clean, cool and dry area. During storage monoblocs / cells lose capacity through self-discharge. High temperatures increase the rate of self-discharge and reduce the storage life.2.1.1. The graph below shows the relationship between open-circuit voltage (OCV) and storage time at various temperatures.2.1.2. The maximum storage time before a refresh charge is required and the recommended OCV audit intervals are:2.1.3. Monoblocs and cells must be given a refresh charge when the OCV approaches the equivalent of 2.10 Volts per cell or when the maximum storage time is reached, whichever occurs first.Charge the monoblocs / cells or strings at a constant voltage equivalent to 2.29 - Amps available for a period of 24 hours.Before commencing operation, the battery must be given a commissioning charge. The batteries should be charged using constant voltage with a minimum charge current Amps with no load connected to the battery. Installation Whatever your application, PowerSafe SBS EON batteries can be mounted in any orientation except inverted.However, in cyclic applications, EnerSys recommend to install 2 Volt DIN-size cells in horizontal orientation. Charging CurrentDue to their very low internal resistance PowerSafe SBS EON batteries will accept unlimited current during recharge. However, for cost and practicality purposes in float applications where minimizing recharge time to support repeat duty is not critical, the rectifier current can be limited to the load plus 0.1C 10 Amps (minimum).5.4. DischargingBatteries must not be left in a discharged condition after supplying the load but must immediately return to recharge mode.Failure to observe these conditions may result in greatly reduced service life.For optimum operation the minimum voltage of the system should be related to the duty as follows:5.5. Accidental Deep DischargingIn cyclic applications, in order to protect the battery, it is advisable to have system monitoring and low voltage cut-out. A low voltage disconnect of 1.93 Vpc (80% DoD) should be applied to protect the battery from abusive over discharge.Abusive deep discharge can result in premature deterioration of the battery and a noticeable reduction in the life expectancy.5.6. Effect of TemperatureOperation of valve regulated batteries at temperatures higher than 20°C will reduce life expectancy. Life is reduced by 50% for every 10°C rise in temperature.Battery performance according to various temperatures can be calculated in EnerSys® Battery Sizing program (BSP).5.7. Hybrid OperationIn addition to the long life characteristics inherent in traditional PowerSafe SBS TPPL designs, EON Technology has been developed to provide high performance in applications where the battery is subjected to repeated cyclic duty or wherepower reliability is tested by high temperatures and harsh conditions combined with remote locations.In cyclic applications, the charging voltage should be set at the equivalent of 2.40Vpc cell at 20°C / 68°F, with the rectifier current limit set to a minimum of 0.1C 10 A (EON Technology is designed to accept unlimited in rush currents without causing damage to the internal electro-chemistry).The optimal cyclic performance is achieved by returning the battery to full state of charge between discharge cycles. It is possible to operate SBS EON Technology monoblocs and cells in partial state of charge condition, however, in such situations, it is very important to ensure that the battery is periodically returned to full state charge to maintain battery state of health.Further details can be found in our PowerSafe SBS EON Operation Guide for Hybrid Applications guide.It is recommended to contact your EnerSys representative to obtain additional information and guidance for such psoc applications.6. MaintenanceIn practice, the user usually specifies the maintenance schedule based on site criticality, location and manpower. The following is a suggested maintenance schedule. •M onthly (record all readings)Measure the battery string voltage. If necessary, adjust the float voltage to the correct value.•E very six months (record all readings)Measure the battery string voltage. If necessary, adjust the float voltage to the correct value.Measure individual bloc voltages.
