关于春节的英语演讲稿三篇演讲稿一:春节的传统与文化Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. Today, I would like to talk to you about the traditional Chinese festival – Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year.Spring Festival is the most important holiday in China, celebrated by millions of Chinese people around the world. It marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and usually falls between late January and mid-February. During this time, families reunite, fireworks light up the sky, and red envelopes filled with money are exchanged. One of the most significant traditions of Spring Festival is the family reunion dinner. It is a time for family members to come together and enjoy a lavish feast. People travel from all over the country, and sometimes even from abroad, to be with their loved ones during this special occasion. The dinner is filled with traditional dishes that symbolize good luck and prosperity, such as fish, dumplings, and rice cakes.Another important tradition during Spring Festival is the giving and receiving of red envelopes. These red envelopes, called “hongbao” in Chinese, are usually given by married couples or elderly people to children or younger family members. The envelopes are filled with money and are believed to bring good luck and fortune for the upcoming year. This tradition is not only a way to show love and care for family members, but also a way to pass on blessings and good wishes.Fireworks and firecrackers are also an integral part of Spring Festival celebrations. The loud noises and bright colors are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck for the new year. In recent years, however, due to safety concerns and environmental issues, many cities in China have banned or restricted the use of fireworks and firecrackers. Instead, people now enjoy watching professional fireworks displays or lighting up electronic firecrackers to maintain the festive atmosphere while being more environmentally friendly. In conclusion, Spring Festival is a time for family, traditions, and new beginnings. It is a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future. It is a celebration of Chinese culture and heritage, and a time for people to come together and cherish their loved ones. Let us all embrace the spirit of Spring Festival and spread joy and happiness to those around us.Thank you.演讲稿二:春节与中国文化交流Distinguished guests,Good morning/afternoon. 关于春节的故事英文版
关于春节的故事英文版The Story of the Chinese New YearThe Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional holiday in China. It marks the beginning of a new year in the Chinese lunar calendar and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy.The story of the Chinese New Year begins with the legend of the Monster Nian. Long ago, in ancient China, there lived a fearsome beast named Nian, who was said to emerge from the sea every winter and devour everything in its path, causing great fear and devastation. People were terrified of Nian and lived in constant fear. However, there was a wise old man in the village who proposed a plan to defeat Nian. He suggested that on the eve of the New Year, people should stay up late, make loud noises, and light bright fires to scare away the beast. They should also place red paper decorations on their doors to confuse Nian, as it was afraid of bright colors and loud noises. The villagers agreed to the plan, and on the eve of the New Year, they stayed up late, made loud noises, and lit bright fires. They also placed red paper decorations on their doors. When Nian emerged from the sea, it was startled by the bright lights, loud noises, and red paper decorations. Terrified, it fled back to the sea and never returned. From then on, the villagers celebrated this victory by holding a feast on the first day of the New Year. They called it "Guo Nian," which means "to survive the year" or "to overcome Nian."Over time, this celebration transformed into the Spring Festival, which is now celebrated throughout China and other parts of the world with great joy and enthusiasm. During the Spring Festival, families gather together to celebrate, exchange gifts, and enjoy a reunion dinner. Red paper decorations, fireworks, and lion dances are common sights during this festival, symbolizing good luck, prosperity, and happiness. The Chinese New Year is a time for renewal and reflection, a time to look forward to a new year of peace, health, and happiness. In conclusion, the story of the Chinese New Year is a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, courage, and faith in overcoming困难和挑战。

英语春节演讲稿1The New Year Holiday Should be Longer.Im very glad to stand here again. As we can know, today is the last class of our English speech course, and the winter holiday is coming, we are going to have a 45-days-holiday at least. However, the new year holiday is too short for the working people, according to the regulations of the state, there are only 7 days federal holidays for the working people. Several years later, all of us should participate in work, so this problem is closely related to each of us.Firstly, do the words "spring festival" reminds you of something which happen every year, and it is too crowded and makes people exhausted? I think some of you can get the answer. It is the Spring Transportation. Going home for Spring Festival is a traditional custom of Chinese people, but millions of peoples travels bring a great pressure on traffic, especially in such a short time."7 days holiday, 4 days on the way. " But the resources of the tickets are very limited, so the people who can buy the tickets are well off, others who are not lucky enough to get the ticket quickly should spend the New Year in a strange land.Secondly, in fact, short vacation of the spring festival hasbrought a lot of serious problems. When the official announced the plan of the new year holiday, Xinlang, a famous media did a survey on the satisfaction degree of it, more than 70 % of the people are dissatisfied with the plan. Most of them wanted more time for relaxed, or they would have less passion for their work in the next year. A netizen called Teemo said he always felt angry when every year he said goodbye to his family and came back to work.Nowadays, fewer people choose to leave home for work. Lots of companies in the eastern coastal area are facing bankruptcy, because no workers engaged in production activities. So do my parents company. This situation is not good for the eastern regions economic development. So, we can expect, if the new year holiday can be longer for the working people, maybe it will make the reunion of families more convenient and let people celebrate the Spring festival with a good mood. Also, the problems we mentioned above could be solved. Thank you!英语春节演讲稿2Good morning everyone! My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence.Without confidence, things can become negative and uncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now, confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wanted to enter this competition, but Iwould feel very embarrassed if I made mistakes. Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to become a scientist when I grow up.If I am not confident, how can I overcome difficulties I face? If I am not confident, how can I succeed in developing myself in the future? I will do it! Today, I am making a speech in public and I feel proud and confident!I am sure, in the future, with confidence, I will go forward-always forward. The beginning of a new year. As far back in history as we can tell, people have celebrated the start of a new year. The people of ancient Egypt began their new year in summer. That is when the Nile River flooded its banks, bringing water and fertility to the land. The people of ancient Babylonia and Persia began their new year on March twenty-first, the first day of spring. And, some Native American Indians began their new year when the nuts of the oak tree became ripe. That was usually in late summer. Now, almost everyone celebrates New Years Day on January first. Today, as before, people observe the New Years holiday in many different ways. The ancient Babylonians celebrated by forcing their king to give up his crown and royal clothing. They made him get down on his knees and admit all the mistakes he had made during the past year. This idea of admitting wrongs and finishing the business of the old year is found in many societies at new years. So is the idea of making resolutions. A resolution is a promise to change your ways. To stop smoking, for example. Or to get more physical exercise.Noise-making is another ancient custom at the new year. The noise is considered necessary to chase away the evil spirits of the old year. People around the world do different things to make a lot of noise. They may hit sticks together. Or beat on drums. Orblow horns. Or explode fireworks.Americans celebrate the New Year in many ways. Most do not have to go to work or school. So they visit family and friends. Attend church services. Share a holiday meal. Or watch new years parades on television. Two of the most famous parades are the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Both have existed for many years.Americans also watch football on television on New Years Day. Most years, university teams play in special holiday games. For those who have been busy at work or school, New Years may be a day of rest. They spend the time thinking about, and preparing for, the demands of the new year.英语春节演讲稿5Good afternoon everyone.I’m Wu Yunfei .T oday ,I’ll talk about the topic about spring festival .The Spring festival ,Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all us. But we find the western festival become more popular than New Year in the recently years. some people wonder whether the Christmas will replace the Spring Festival in the future.we can find easily Christmas cards become popular with students.Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters. Then this worry is fairly unnecessary .Why?Do we should treasure the Spring Festival forever? In my opinion ,the Spring Festival as the most influential traditional festival have important meaning for us .Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned;coupletsare posted on the doors. Colorful lanterns are hung at the gate. All family members will get together on New Year Eve to have a big meal . Duringwhich people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed. At the same time ,everyone celebrates to each other . When people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year"..At about 12 oclock, some parents and children light crackers. The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly. How busy it is! On the first early morning of one year,Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. At that time, children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on.I think,it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West,a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever.。

We saw our membership more than triple. We saw 1.1 millionvotes in the General Election, more than four times more votes than weve ever won before. Wesaw the return of Caroline Lucas as our brilliant Green MP.So 20xx – this is the year in which we need to turn the Green surge into Green votes andthats what were determined to do. What we need to do is, up and down the country, providepeople with the real alternative. And that is what we are doing.Because so many people, up and down the country, when we look at the local council electionsthat are coming up, are facing local government thats totally, or almost, a one-party state. They are finding that theyre not having the tough questions asked. Thelocal council isntgetting the scrutiny it needs. So, sure, local councils are suffering enormously under the governments hideous program ofausterity, but we should always be asking: Can they do better? Can they look after particularlythe more vulnerable in their community better? Can they do a better job with their localenvironment? So, in the Council elections, were looking to really grow our number of Green councillors acrossEngland and Wales. And then weve got the assembly elections in Wales and in London. And these are the chancewhere we can significantly grow our representation, win our first assembly members in Wales inwhat are fair proportional elections, in which people can be sure that their vote counts. If youvote for what you believe in, you can get it.And of course, our sister party up in Scotland is looking forward with real confidence andenthusiasm to the Scottish Parliament elections there. What we want, one of the things we need to be getting out of 20xx, is the same kind ofelections, fair proportional elections all around the county, particularly to Westminster and ofcourse getting rid of our un-elected House of Lords. It was in 1918 when women got the vote. That was the last time we saw significant reform inthe Westminster Parliament. Now, it really is time for us to think again, look again, plan again, and get real change in ourdemocracy. T o get to a situation where people know that their vote counts, they dont have tomake complicated calculations about what other people are going to vote, they can simplyvote for what they want and get it.Thats what I would urge everyone to make a resolution for 20xx. To do your bit towardselectoral reform. It is, after all, ourhuman right to have a fair democracy that reflects ourpolitical will. And of course, in 20xx, were also going to have to be defending our human rights.Human Rights Act is under attack from our government and we need to stand up and defendit. So a new year, new possibilities. Weve got a government that doesnt have a mandate for thehideous austerity that its imposing, for the disastrous environmental policies, for its threatsto our human rights. This government only won the support of 24% of eligible voters. Thats no kind of mandate.Lets pledge in 20xx to ensure that we make real progress toward the real change we need, apolitical system that works for the common good, not just for the few of the richest and apolitical system that delivers a society where were living within our environmental limits. And after all, at the end of the day, thats not politics, its physics. We have to do it. We have tohave real change in Britain. 关于新年的英语演讲稿篇4The Spring Festival is our traditional festival, people called the Spring Festival, Chinese New Year. Even after I had actually graduated, the nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say I hadn’t truly graduated. In reality, I had completed every course needed for my degree, and I was a full-fledged college graduate! Now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. Sometimes abachelor’s degre e prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. Often, however, your stint in college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future. You’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!During my senior year of college, I had toyed with the idea of changing my major. At that point, I had finally discovered what captured my heart. But, wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. So, I took a few courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree in physical therapy. That would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s degree——and I just wasn’tready to tackle that. Having completed my B.C. degree, I didn’t have any int entions of furthering my education. So, I did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing I was sure that I didn’t want to do! I detested the office policies, the suits I had to wear and the downtown environment that I had to drive to every day. I knew this was not where I belonged. But god knew what path my career was to follow. A position opened up at the most exclusive health club in our city, so I applied. This was my kind of environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of the spectrum from the office environment where I found myself. The position required that I work Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Perfect, I thought! I could keep my office job Monday through Friday and work at my dream job on the weekends. This arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time position opened up and I was able to resign from my office job.Over the next few years, I worked my way up the leader, gaining experience in several different departments. I found my niche as the director of member services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous cutting-edge programs. I would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. Here were fellow employees who had a passion for the same things that I did——health and fitness. Yet again, god had other plans for my life.Within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road. And, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. And, in turn, the owner lost thousands of dollars. One by one we were each laid off. After trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, I knew what I had to do. Go back to school!thanks! 关于新年的英语演讲稿篇6What we cannot afford to loseWe cannot lose innovationThere is a wonderful word which expresses the most original motions and desires among human-beings. With solving any kind of imperfections, our world has moved ahead. This is the word “innovation” t hat we cannot afford to lose.We chicaned every detail of the innovation. Thousands years before, we created fire when we took a stone to knock another one. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. So how did these happen? What will you do if you are not satisfied with your tools anymore? What will you do if old mode cannot afford to develop in a company? There is no doubt that we should innovate no matter where we are and what we do. Not because of the design itself, but actually for its intended purpose. If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing. If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. If there was no Newton, and no theory of gravity, maybe I will win the Nobel Prize like Newton rather than just standing here. I have heard that three apple changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple. I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, right? Have the innovation to follow your heart. It somehow already reflects what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.Via questioning, we can start to innovate. Via innovating, we can start to create better lives. No innovation, no improvement. No improvement, no success. And no success, no civilization. Now, our time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life! Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice! Don't let yourself down! It is the innovation that we cannot afford to lose!关于新年的英语演讲稿篇7Everyone!Now I want to talk about a beautiful world! When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city.We could hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was!As is known to all , we have a beautiful world .we can see the sun shining. we can see the moon in a full view. we can see the birds flying in the sky. we can see the horses running on the plain. But that only was a dream of mine! The world is not as beautiul as before, for human beings have brought a disaster to the world. How I wish that it would be come true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment. However, there are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities. On the one hand, the environment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modern world. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word, there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world. To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today. In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. Weshould let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.Of course ,not only government but also everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.Have you ever thrown any litter onto the groundHave you ever drawn pictures on public wallsHave you ever cut down treesIf your answers are "No",it means that you have already helped protect our environment. Protecting our environment is everyone's business.Thank you !关于新年的英语演讲稿篇8We want to hold a green Olympic Games ,so everyone should do somethinguseful to protect the environment ,whether it is big or small. We should do something to stop people from doing bad things to theenvironment should put rubbish into dustbins instead of throwing it yone must care for flowers ,grass and tress in public shound collectthings like paper ,plastic bags our neighborhood as we ll ,it’s necessary toplant more trees every year .It is everyone’s duty to make our neighborhood much better with our handsminds ’s make a contribution to protecting the environment and the PlympicGames successfully. 关于新年的英语演讲稿篇9Helloeveryone! My name is Ren Qingwen. I am 8years old. I like drawing, reading, andtelling stories. Today I am telling you a story- The missing forestOnce upon atime, there was a kingdom of forest. Everyone lived there happily. Some werehunting, some were making clothes, and some were catching fishes. Life there waswonderful. There was alaw in this kingdom -nobody could cut downtrees. Once the prince was chasing arabbit and he kicked down three little trees by accident. The king knew it andhe let the guards hit the prince thirty times to punish him.The king wasvery old. Before he dead, he told the prince his last words,” I am very old now. The forest is our last hope. You willbe the new king. You couldn’t change the law, or a lot of monsters will come! Rememberit my son!”And shortlyafterwards, the prince became the new king. And the country became stronger andstronger. He was a good king but he still grudged that law!Oneday, a guest came to the kingdom. He showed the kinga drawing. There were houses and buildings on the picture. The king was vey excited. Andhe decided to listen to that man. He commanded to cut down all the trees. Andhe created a new world! Everyone tried to stop him, but it didn’t work.Trees werecutting down, animals were running away. Tall buildings were built! At thebeginning, people liked the new city, but later something bad happened. All kinds of monsters showed up: rainmonster, hot monster, wind monster and sand monster. People felt sick with theenvironment, because the new citybrought a lot of pollution. People missed the forest, the animals and thelovely city they used to live in. But they were not able to change it at all. They became homeless and had to abandon their city. Watchedthe image lying before him, the king sank into the seat.Ladies andgentlemen, from this story we can see that we have to protect our home- theearth, we have to protect the trees, the rivers, the animals and the air, orsomething terrible must happen to us!It is the onlyearth we got! That’s all! Thankyou!关于新年的英语演讲稿篇10My last holidays were my longest holidays, and i think that i learnt how to spend the time. I enjoyed a lot with my friends, and my family, and i met new people too, because i was in different places during the summer, and i wanted to meet people everywhere. The first place i visited was calpe, a town in alicante, because i was invited for some days by a friend who has a house there. I went with some friends, and we spent there just five days, but it was enough time to want to come back next summer! We stayed on the beach for hours, in the mornings, just lying and asleep, taking enough energy for the rest of the day and for the night! At night, we went out until next morning. We danced, met people, walked near the beach... while we watched the moon in silence. Next, i went to paris with my parents and my sister. Actually, i did not go to paris, i went to disneyland. We stayed there for four days, and it was really unforgettable. When i saw the park, i opened my eyes the most i could and i did not close them until the night at the hotel. I felt like a little girl again. Finally, i was in salou. My parents looked for a really relaxing time, and we were on the beach for some days. There, we did not visit anything, we were there just to rest. After those days, we came , and, unfortunately, we had to start our routines again.关于新年的英语演讲稿篇11Do you think it's possible to control someone's attention? Even more than that, what about predicting human behavior? I think those are interesting ideas, if you could. I mean, for me, that would be the perfect superpower, actually kind of an evil way of approaching it. But for myself, in the past, I've spent the last 20 years studying human behavior from a rather unorthodox way:picking pockets. When we think of misdirection, we think of something as looking off to the side, when actually it's often the things that are right in front of us that are the hardest things to see, the things that you look at every day that you're blinded to.For example, how many of you still have your cell phones on you right now? Great. Double-check. Make sure you still have them on you. I was doing some shopping beforehand. Now you've looked at them probably a few times today, but I'm going to ask you a question about them. Without looking at your cell phone directly yet, can you remember the icon in the bottom right corner? Bring them out, check, and see how accurate you were. How'd you do? Show of hands. Did we get it?Now that you're done looking at those, close them down, because every phone has something in common. No matter how you organize the icons, you still have a clock on the front. So, without looking at your phone, what time was it? You just looked at your clock, right? It's an interesting idea. Now, I'll ask you to take that a step further with a game of trust. Close your eyes. I realize I'm asking you to do that while you just heard there's a pickpocket in the room, but close your eyes. Now, you've been watching me for about 30 seconds. With your eyes closed, what am I wearing? Make your best guess. What color is my shirt? What color is my tie? Now open your eyes. By a show of hands, were you right? It's interesting, isn't it? Some of us are a little bit more perceptive than others. It seems that way. But I have a different theory about that, that model of attention. They have fancy models of attention, Posner's trinity model of attention. For me, I like to think of it very simple, like a surveillance system. It's kind of like you have all these fancy sensors, and inside your brain is alittle security guard. For me, I like to call him Frank. So Frank is sitting at a desk. He's got all sorts of cool information in front of him, high-tech equipment, he's got cameras, he's got a little phone that he can pick up, listen to the ears, all these senses, all these perceptions. But attention is what steers your perceptions, is what controls your reality. It's the gateway to the mind. If you don't attend to something, you can't be aware of it. But ironically, you can attend to something without being aware of it. That's why there's the cocktail effect: When you're in a party, you're having conversations with someone, and yet you can recognize your name and you didn't even realize you were listening to that. Now, for my job, I have to play with techniques to exploit this, to play with your attention as a limited resource. So if I could control how you spend your attention, if I could maybe steal your attention through a distraction. Now, instead of doing it like misdirection and throwing it off to the side, instead, what I choose to focus on is Frank, to be able to play with the Frank inside your head, your little security guard, and get you, instead of focusing on your external senses, just to go internal for a second. So if I ask you to access a memory, like, what is that? What just happened? Do you have a wallet? Do you have an American Express in your wallet? And when I do that, your Frank turns around. He accesses the file. He has to rewind the tape. And what's interesting is, he can't rewind the tape at the same time that he's trying to process new data. Now, I mean, this sounds like a good theory, but I could talk for a long time and tell you lots of things, and they may be true, a portion of them, but I think it's better if I tried to show that to you here live. So if I come down, I'm going to do a little bit of shopping. Just hold still where you are.Hello, how are you? It's lovely to see you. You did a wonderful job onstage. You have a lovely watch that doesn't come off very well. Do you have your ring as well? Good. Just taking inventory. You're like a buffet. It's hard to tell where to start, there's so many great things.Hi, how are you? Good to see you.Hi, sir, could you stand up for me, please? Just right where you are. Oh, you're married. You follow directions well. That's nice to meet you, sir. You don't have a whole lot inside your pockets. Anything down by the pocket over here? Hopefully so. Have a seat. There you go. You're doing well.关于新年的英语演讲稿篇12In the world, I am sure that no one dare say he hasn't met any trouble allhis life. So we must face failure. In fact, failure is not fearful, butimportant thing is how to face it correctly. Facing failure, people will nevertake their fate lying down. They will try their best to work harder and harderuntil at last they succeed. Not being courageous to face setbacks, people have no chance to enjoy thepleasure of success. So they have nothing to do but feel sad and empty all dayand all night. In fact, they lose the chance of success themselves. My friend, w henever in trouble, please remember, “Failure is the mother ofsuccess.”Twists and turns in life are unavoidable and are not always bad. We shouldhave a more optimistic view on life and try to make the most of it and drawlessons from the bumps and turns along the way.If there is any single factor that makes for success in living, it is theability to profit by defeat. Every success I know has been achieved because theperson was able to analyze defeat andactually profit by it in his nextundertaking. Confuse defeat with failure, and you are doomed indeed to failure. For it isn't defeat that makes you fail: it is your own refusal to see in defeatthe guide and encouragement to success. Defeats are nothing to be ashamed of.They are routine incidents in the life of every man who achieves success. Butdefeat is a dead loss unless you do face it without humiliation, analyze it andlearn why you failed.Defeat, in other words, can help to cure its own cause. Not only doesdefeat prepare us for success, but nothing can arouse within us such acompelling desire to succeed. If you let a baby grasp a rod and try to pull itaway, he will cling more and more tightly until his whole weight is suspended. It is this same reaction which should give you new and greater strength everytime you are defeated. If you exploit the power which defeat gives, you canaccomplish with it far more than you are capable of.关于新年的英语演讲稿篇13Ladies and Gentlemen,It is always an exciting day in New Year Eve as the majority of people in the world are in very good mood of celebrating New Year. There are numerous New Year parties around the globe where many children are re-united with their families, young couples are together with their newborns, grandparents are taking their opportunities to spend some quality time with their own children as well as grandchildren. And the list goes on and on.Just what exactly is New Year Eve? In my own view, I think there are two sets of meaning.First, New Year Eve represents hope and a new start of the year. Hope is important to mankind. The symbolic meaning encourages us to put all our bad luck behind us as we look。

1.有关新年的英语演讲稿 Dear teachers and students Good morning, everyone! The topic of my speech today is "New Year's new weather". The wind was cold and the winter was thick. Before Santa could put away his long hair, we heard the footsteps of new year's day. Facing the first ray of dawn, we gathered under the national flag to sort out the 20XX just passed and pray for the arrival of the new year. Therefore, on behalf of all the students, I send new year's greetings to the teachers who have worked hard for a year! Wish all teachers work smoothly, happy and healthy. At the same time, I also wish the students to make progress and go to a higher level. Before the advent of new year's day, all countries have the custom of welcoming new year's day. In China, new year's Day is designated as a legal holiday. Due to the different longitudes of various countries, the time of national day and new year's Day is also different. For example, the island country of Oceania is the first place in the world to usher in New Year's day. China is the 12th country to start the new year. During the festival, people rarely participate in mass activities. According to their hobbies, they choose different ways to celebrate New Year's day, such as tourism, leisure, shopping and visiting relatives and friends, so that new year's day has become a diversified modern program. During New Year's day, people are always used to summarizing the past year; Look forward to the new year. For this new year, have the students made new year's resolutions for themselves? You might as well make a plan for your new year from now on. When summing up the past, don't forget your wonderful performance in school, let alone the passion of hard work and the cooperative spirit of the class for the same goal. Looking back on 20XX, each of us can't help feeling surging and filled with emotion. I hope we can bring the harvest in 20XX bit by bit to the new 20XX year, let's move towards 20XX happily, and let's bring the wonderful to 20XX! Are you ready? Let's go together. My speech is over. Thank you.2.有关新年的英语演讲稿 Dear teachers and students Good morning. Today, my topic is "giving gifts to the new year and being the master of time". The cold wind is chilly and winter is thick. Following the footsteps of time, we entered 202x. The new year has opened a new page for us. An inch of time is an inch of gold. An inch of gold can't buy an inch of time. How precious time is! Calendar, all those who have made achievements are young people who are determined, cherish time like gold, study hard and unswervingly. The great writer Lu Xun reminded and urged himself to cherish time with an early word when he was a child. In order to save time, Newton ate while doing experiments. He didn't know how to cook his watch in the pot. Lei Feng also took time to study a few minutes before watching the film. At the age of 90, calligrapher Qi Baishi insisted on drawing a picture every day. Flowers never bloom again, no one is young again, time is fleeting, youth is difficult again, may we know how to cherish and learn to cherish. If the heart is there, the dream is there. Students, take this as the starting point, let's work together to depict a new year of 202x!3.有关新年的英语演讲稿 Dear teachers and students Good morning, everyone. The theme of my speech today is to welcome the new year and look forward to the future. The cold wind is chilly and the meaning of winter is thick. The footsteps of new year's day are coming to our ears. Today, facing the morning light of chuyang, we gather under the national flag to sort out the dying 20XX and welcome the promising 20XX. 20XX years have passed. Looking back, in 20XX, we studied hard, worked hard, United, friendly and helped each other. Although we can't stop the passage of time, we can control our future. The pace of 20XX is getting closer and closer. Looking forward to the future, the prospect is bright, and we are full of pride. 20XX, let's open a window of our hearts with a smile, let's fly hope and find our ideals; 20XX, let's take action togetherto hold up the arms of friendship, and let's listen to the singing of our love melody tomorrow. Into the new year, into the vigorous hope, every young heart glows with colorful colors; Entering the new year and moving towards a better future, the world unfolds brilliantly in front of us. Following the rhythm of youth, we go to the new year, singing and laughing all the way. The style of our youth will dance heartily on the big stage of fraternity On the fertile soil of fraternity, it beats the pulse of youth and emits the fragrance of ink. In fraternity, we have our passion for life and our desire for the future! Looking forward to the coming new year, greater difficulties are waiting for us to conquer and better achievements are waiting for us to create. The new year is coming. I believe our tomorrow will be better.4.有关新年的英语演讲稿 Dear teachers and students Good morning, everyone! As 20XX goes farther and farther, the bell of 20XX has sounded. On the occasion of farewell to the old and welcome the new, on behalf of the fourth university student organization, I would like to say to teachers and students: Happy New Year! Looking back on the past, I have a myriad of thoughts. It seems that the wonderful Tianfu stage has just passed, and the garden tour full of laughter is still yesterday. The past year has been a year for all teachers and students to work with one heart and one mind and work together in the same boat. It has been a year of unity, hard work and fruitful achievements. 新年故事英文演讲稿优选份
新年故事英文演讲稿优选份新年故事英文演讲稿 1Dear teachers and dear students, good evening:This evening we are all gathered together to make the evening full of poetic expression. What I bring to you today is a talk about ourselves.Class 1, class 2 students do not know whether still remember the school organized us to see a “let life fu ll of love" lecture. I dont know what you think and what inspires you. After I saw it, I felt deeply. Part of it es from the lecture and the other half of it is the behavior of all of you. While I was watching, I looked around. I saw some classmates burying their heads, but some of them were laughing. I was so surprised and shocked that he was laughing.Ha ha, I want to ask all of you are really funny? Do you really think its funny? Are you qualified to laugh? When youre laughing, you dont think about how you treat your parents in the real world. And how your parents treat you. Remember which lecture I told you about this story:A little girl quarreled with her parents and ran away from home. He was cold and hungry in the middle of the night, but she would not go home. A good man gave her a bowl of noodles, and she fell on her knees and said, you are my benediction! You are better than my mother! Thegood Samaritan listens, but accuses the little girl to say: "the child! Im not supposed to give you this bowl of noodles. I just gave you a bowl of noodles and you thanked me by saying how much your parents had given you! The children finally wake up, but my dear classmates, did you wake up? Its time for you to wake up. Youre not kids anymore. I have seen a story like this:A child in my village asked his grandmother for money. His grandma only asked, "what do you want the money for, son?" The child was angry. He took the brick and threatened to say, "get the money quickly, or Ill kill you." Grandma took the money out of her pocket and gave it to the child, but the child took the money and went away. Leaving grandma alone and sobbing there alone. Maybe there are no such children among our classmates. But there must be many students in the middle of the class who often contradict their parents and parents. Even some students help their parents to do a little thing, to the parents to pay. And it always feels right. Do you know that your hands are shaking when you take the money from your parents? I believe the chance of a quiver is one percent. But did my dear students ever see such a scene? What was the first time a child had given his first salary to his mother? At that time, my mother was not only shaking hands, but even her face was crystal tears. Do you know why your mother shivers? It was herdelight, her excitement, she was glad that her child had finally grown up, and she was excited that her child had finally grown up.My dear students wake up! Dont sleep in your own dreams. Wake up early! Today is a happy day, I should not say this, but I cant help saying it, I hope you can remember that while you are happy, dont forget the parents who are bent over in the field! There is a point of dripping water. When your parents pay so much for you, how can you repay your parents? In fact, our parents are not very demanding and simple, but you and I cant understand it. The song "go home often" who can sing, but who really did it? As for the implied meaning of "meng mu SAN qian", "kong rong let the pear" and "the nine years of the age of incense" and so on, I said that you understand it, but you cant do it.Well, from this day and today, let us strive to be the good son of our parents, with each of our love, with each of our own actions to repay their parents! Can my dear students do that? "Did the hard work of my parents only get so much noise? I really feel bad for all my parents!"Ok, my speech today is over, I wish you all: happy New Year, all the best!。

新年最感人的故事作文英文英文:It was New Year’s Eve, and I was feeling a bit down. I had just moved to a new city and didn’t have many friends to celebrate with. I decided to take a walk to clear my head and hopefully find something to lift my spirits. As I walked through the quiet streets, I noticed an elderly man sitting alone on a bench. He looked a bit sad, so I decided to strike up a conversation with him. It turns out his name was Mr. Chen, and he had recently lost his wife. He told me that they used to celebrate the New Year together with a big feast and fireworks, but now he was all alone.I felt a pang of sadness for Mr. Chen, but also a sense of connection. I, too, was feeling alone and out of placein this new city. We ended up talking for hours, sharing stories and memories. Mr. Chen told me about his wife andthe wonderful life they had together, and I shared my own struggles and fears about starting over in a new place. As the clock struck midnight, Mr. Chen and I were still sit ting on that bench, but we weren’t alone. A group of young people from the neighborhood had gathered around us, holding sparklers and singing songs. They had seen ustalking and wanted to include us in their New Year’s celebration. It was a beautiful and unexpected moment of connection and kindness. In that instant, I realized that New Year’s isn’tjust about big parties and flashy fireworks. It’s aboutthe connections we make with others, the moments of understanding and empathy that bring us closer together. Mr. Chen and I may have been from different generations and backgrounds, but in that moment, we were united in our shared humanity.中文:那是一个新年前夜,我感到有些沮丧。

用英语讲好中国故事英语作文80词春节
用英语讲好中国故事英语作文80词春节全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Magical Chinese New YearWow, Chinese New Year is my favorite time of the year! It's a festival full of fun, family, and amazing traditions. Let me tell you all about the exciting things we do to celebrate this special occasion.First, there's the cleaning ritual called "sweeping the dust." A few weeks before New Year's Day, my family goes into a cleaning frenzy! We sweep, scrub, and tidy every nook and cranny of our house. It's like we're getting rid of all the bad luck from the past year and making space for new blessings. My least favorite part is dusting all the hard-to-reach places, but it's worth it to start the new year fresh. Then comes the decorations! We put up red lanterns, hangup banners with lucky symbols, and stick upside-down fu symbols on our doors. Red is the luckiest color, and the upside-down fu means happiness is arriving. My brother and Ilove helping to put up the decorations – it makes our house look so festive!A few days before New Year's Eve, we go shopping for new clothes. We can't wear old or torn clothes during the new year, so my parents buy us brand new outfits. I always ask for something red, which symbolizes good luck. This year, I got a cozy red sweater with a cute panda design. I can't wait to show it off!On New Year's Eve, the real fun begins! We gather with our extended family for a huge reunion dinner. The table is loaded with amazing dishes like dumplings, whole steamed fish, noodles, and my favorite – niangao, a sweet sticky rice cake. Each dish has a symbolic meaning, like the fish for abundance and the noodles for long life. After dinner, the kids get lucky red envelopes filled with money from our parents and grandparents. Score! At midnight, we watch incredible fireworks light up the sky while banging drums and gongs to scare away evil spirits. The loud noises and bright lights make the start of the new year feel extra magical. Afterwards, we stay up late playing games and catching up with our relatives. On New Year's Day, the celebration continues! We dress up in our new outfits and follow traditions like not sweeping ortaking out the trash, so the good luck doesn't get swept away. Instead of cleaning, we watch the amazing New Year's parade on TV, with colorful dragon dances and amazing acrobats. My grandparents give us more red envelopes, and we eat special snacks like seeds for fertility and oranges for wealth. For the next two weeks, every day is filled with visits to relatives and friends, bearing gifts of fruit, candies, and small red envelopes. We kids get totally spoiled during this time! We also burn bamboo stems to send wishes for the new year up to the gods. My brother and I make lots of wishes, mostly for good grades and cool toys. After the lantern festival on the 15th day, the New Year celebrations finally wind down. But the fun memories last all year long! I love the exciting traditions, yummy foods, fireworks, family time, and all the good luck of Chinese New Year. It's an awesome way to start the new year with happiness and hope. I can't wait for it to come around again next year!篇2Chinese New Year: A Colorful CelebrationHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 9 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my favorite festival – Chinese New Year! It's areally big deal in my family and we have so much fun celebrating it together. Get ready for an exciting journey into the vibrant world of Chinese culture!Every year, Chinese New Year falls on a different date, sometime between late January and mid-February. It's based on the lunar calendar, which follows the cycles of the moon. Cool, right? This year, it was on January 22nd.Weeks before the big day, my parents start cleaning our house from top to bottom. They say it's to sweep away any bad luck from the old year and make room for good fortune in the new year. My job is to help tidy my room and get rid of any clutter. It's a lot of work, but it feels so good to have a sparkling clean home! The decorations are my favorite part. We hang up red lanterns and couplets with poetic phrases written on them. Red is considered a lucky color in Chinese culture because it symbolizes happiness, wealth, and prosperity. My mom buys a kumquat tree, which is a small citrus tree that's supposed to bring good luck and fortune. But the star of the show is the dancing lion! A few days before New Year's Eve, we head to the heart of Chinatown to watch the amazing lion dances. Two people get inside anelaborate lion costume and perform energetic moves to the beat of loud drums and cymbals. It's so much fun to watch them leap and dance around. The lion is a symbol of strength, courage, and wisdom in Chinese culture. On New Year's Eve, the real party begins! We gather at my grandparents' house for a huge feast called "reunion dinner." The table is loaded with all sorts of delicious dishes like dumplings, noodles, whole steamed fish, and sweet rice balls for dessert. We make sure to include foods that sound like words for prosperity and good luck when you say them in Chinese. For example, the word for fish sounds similar to the word for surplus. So, we always have a whole fish on the table to represent having more than enough in the coming year. After dinner, it's time for the fireworks! We bundle up in our warmest clothes and head outside to watch the dazzling show light up the sky. Fireworks and firecrackers are used to scare away evil spirits and welcome in the new year with a bang. I love the bright colors and loud booms! The next day is New Year's Day, and that means...red envelopes! These little red packets are filled with money and given out by married couples or older family members to kids like me. It's considered lucky to receive them. I always feel soexcited when my grandparents hand me those crisp bills. Money for doing nothing? Sign me up!For the next two weeks, the celebrations continue. We visit family, watch dragon dances, eat lots of delicious food, and have a total blast. Every day is filled with activities, laughter, and quality time together. One of my favorite traditions is staying up late on New Year's Eve to watch the annual TV special. It's a huge variety show with amazing performances, comedy skits, and the countdown to the new year. At midnight, firecrackers go off everywhere as we shout, "Gong Xi Fa Cai!" which means "Wishing you prosperity in the new year!"Speaking of the new year, did you know that each year is associated with one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac? This year is the Year of the Rabbit, which symbolizes luck, peace, and longevity. I was born in the Year of the Pig, which represents fortune and hard work. Maybe that's why I always feel so lucky during this festival! There are so many other fun customs and superstitions surrounding Chinese New Year, but I don't want to bore you with too many details. Just know that it's a vibrant, joyful, and deeplymeaningful celebration for people of Chinese descent all around the world. For me, the best part is simply spending quality time with my loved ones and soaking in the festive atmosphere. There's something really special about coming together to honor our cultural heritage and ring in the new year with hope and optimism.Well, that's my take on this incredible festival! I hope you enjoyed learning about the colorful traditions of Chinese New Year. Maybe you'll even get to experience it for yourself someday. Just don't eat too many dumplings – trust me, it's hard to stop! Thanks for reading, and "Xin Nian Kuai Le" (Happy New Year)!篇3My Favorite Holiday – Chinese New YearHi there! That means the date changes every year based on the cycles of the moon, but it's usually sometime in late January or February. My whole family gets together - my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We have a huge feast with all my favorite foods like dumplings, noodles, fish, and sweet rice balls. Yum!Before the big night, we spend weeks cleaning the house from top to bottom. We want to sweep away all the bad luck and make room for good luck in the new year. My least favorite part is cleaning, but I know it's important. On New Year's Eve, we decorate the house with lots of red. Red is considered a very lucky color in China. We hang up red lanterns, put up red banners with poetic sayings, and my mom makes red decorations out of red paper. She's an amazing artist! After we eat our huge feast on New Year's Eve, the kids receive red envelopes from the adults. The red envelopes have money inside as a gift for good luck. I save up my red envelope money all year to buy something special. At midnight on New Year's Eve, we watch incredible fireworks displays outside. They light up the whole sky with bright colors and loud booms. People set off fireworks and firecrackers to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck. I have to cover my ears because it gets so loud!On New Year's Day, I get to sleep in late. When I wake up, the first thing I do is put on my new clothes that my parents gave me for the holiday. The adults give us more red envelope gifts and delicious snacks like candies and dried fruit. For the next two weeks of the New Year celebrations, we visit friends and extended family members. We play games, watch performances of dragon and lion dances, eat lots of yummy food, and have a great time being together. My favorite part is getting the day off from school! The Spring Festival holiday means no school for about two or three weeks. I get to sleep in, play video games, hang out with mycousins, and just relax. No homework or tests for a while - it's heaven! When the 15 days are over, we celebrate the Lantern Festival on the final night. My family makes delicious sweet rice ball snacks called tangyuan and we go out to see the incredible paper lantern displays and performances. Some families even make wishes and let lanterns float up into the night sky. It's breathtakingly beautiful. As the night ends, I start feeling a little sad that Chinese New Year is over for another year. But I'm already looking forward to doing it all over again with my family next year! We'll get to celebrate the arrival of a new zodiac animal according to the12-year cycle. This year was the Year of the Rabbit, so next year will be the Year of the...um, I actually forget which one comes next. I'll have to ask my grandma!Anyway, that's why I love Chinese New Year so much. It's overflowing with incredible food, special traditions, quality family time, vibrant decorations, fireworks, and two weeks off from school. What's not to love? In my opinion, it's the absolute best holiday tradition my culture has to offer. I'm so proud to celebrate my Chinese heritage every year with my awesome family. Thanks for reading, and XīnNiánKuáiLè!篇4My Favorite Holiday - Chinese New YearChinese New Year is my absolute favorite holiday! It's a time for amazing food, fun family traditions, and giving lucky red envelopes. I look forward to it all year long. The preparations start weeks before the actual holiday. My mom goes on a huge cleaning spree, making sure every corner of our home is spotless. She says it's to sweep away any bad luck from the old year and make room for incoming good fortune. I have to help out too, which isn't my favorite part, but I know it's important.Once the cleaning is done, the real fun begins - decorating! We put up bright red lanterns and upside-down fu symbols for luck and happiness. My dad carefully hangs up hanging scrolls with calligraphy poems on them. And of course, we can't forget the papercuts of amazing animals and flowers. My grandma is an expert at making the most intricate and beautiful papercuts. She even taught me how to make some simple ones. The week leading up to New Year's Eve is also filled with special food preparing. My mom spends days making dumplings from scratch - thousands of them! We fill them with pork, cabbage, mushrooms, and other lucky ingredients. My job is to help wrap the dumplings while my grandparents show me the proper folding technique. It's harder than it looks! Every family has their own special dumpling recipe that gets passed down.On New Year's Eve, the real celebrating starts. We gather together for a huge feast with all my extended family - aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone! The table is piled sky-high with amazing dishes like whole steamed fish for abundance, long noodles for longevity, eggs for fertility, and of course dumplings! We kids can hardly sit still waiting to eat. The adults pregame by watching the New Year's Gala show on TV while snacking on seeds, candy, and other little bites. After our massive dinner, it's finally time for the best part - the fireworks and red envelopes! My cousins and I run around setting off a million firecrackers and sparklers to scare away any lingering evil spirits. My parents and grandparents hand out little red envelopes stuffed with cash for us kids. We shout "Xin nian kuai le!" which means "Happy New Year!" over and over while gathering up our red envelope riches. The next two weeks is pure New Year's bliss. We visit friends and family, set off even more fireworks, eat way too many snacks, and watch special TV shows. I don't have to go to school and myparents take off work. The date changes every year but it usually falls sometime between late January and mid-February. This year it was on January 22nd.The celebrations actually start on New Year's Eve and last for about 15 days until the Lantern Festival. The eve is super important - we have a huge reunion dinner with our whole family. My grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all come over. We make dumplings together which is my favorite part! My mom makes the most delicious dumplings. After dinner, we kids get Red Envelopes filled with money from the adults. They're called 'Hongbao' and it's a way to wish us a prosperous new year. We also set off firecrackers at midnight to scare away any evil spirits and bad luck from the past year. It's really loud and smoky but so much fun!On New Year's Day, we get up early and dress in our new clothes and shoes. The grown-ups give us kids more lucky money in red envelopes. Wearing new clothes is supposed to symbolize a new start and fresh beginnings. One big tradition is the cleaning and 'sweeping of the dust' we do for a couple weeks before New Year's Day. We clean our entire house from top to bottom to get rid of any huizhao or bad luck lingering around. We decorate the house with red lanterns, calligraphy scrolls, paper cuts and couplets on the doors with messages of good fortune. Red is an auspicious color that's supposed to bring good luck.We also put up paintings or pictures of the Chinese character 'Fu' which means blessings and good fortune. But we have to hang it upside down because the words 'Fu Dao' sound like 'fortune has arrived' in Chinese! There are lots of traditions like this based on words and phrases that sound similar. For the 15 days of New Year celebrations, we can't do any cleaning or it might 'sweep away' the good luck of the new year. We also can't say anything negative or unlucky words. If someone asks how your dumplings taste, you have to say "not too great" rather than use unlucky words like "bad" or "terrible."My favorite part is getting to watch the incredible New Year performances put on by acrobats, dancers, singers and martial artists. The shows are broadcast on TV and there are also live performances in parks and town squares.Cities across China put on phenomenal light displays and firework shows. Everything is decorated in shades of red and gold. Beijing has these amazing lantern exhibits and festivals in places like Ditan Park.On the 15th day of the New Year, families celebrate the Lantern Festival by hanging glowing lanterns and watching incredible firework displays. We eat sweet rice balls called tangyuan and try to solve riddles written on the lanterns. It's just such a fun and festive time of year! There's so much delicious food, amazing performances, lanterns and fireworks. I love spending time with my huge family and getting all that lucky money too! I hope I've helped explain why Chinese NewYear is such a wonderful celebration. Let me know if you have any other questions!。

英语作文新年故事Title: A New Year's Tale。
Once upon a time in a quaint little village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a young girl named Lily. As the New Year approached, the village buzzed with excitement and anticipation for the grand celebrations. Every year, the villagers would gather in the town square, adorned with colorful decorations and lit by the warm glowof lanterns, to welcome the arrival of the New Year.Lily, with her sparkling eyes and infectious enthusiasm, eagerly awaited the festivities. She had always cherished the traditions of the New Year, especially the tradition of making New Year's resolutions. Each year, she would jot down her goals and aspirations, dreaming of the adventures and successes that awaited her in the coming year. However, this year was different. As the New Year drew near, Lily found herself feeling disheartened. She hadfaced many challenges and setbacks throughout the year, causing her to doubt herself and her abilities. The weight of her unfulfilled resolutions from the previous year hung heavy on her shoulders, casting a shadow over her usual optimism.Despite her doubts, Lily couldn't ignore the palpable excitement in the air as the village prepared for the celebrations. Determined to embrace the spirit of the New Year, she decided to embark on a journey of self-discovery and renewal. On New Year's Eve, as the clock struck midnight and fireworks illuminated the night sky, Lily made a solemn vow to herself. She vowed to let go of her fears and insecurities, to embrace her inner strength and resilience, and to pursue her dreams with unwavering determination. With newfound resolve, Lily set out to make the most of the opportunities that the New Year would bring. She threw herself into her studies, her passions, and her relationships, refusing to let anything hold her back.Along the way, she encountered obstacles and challenges, but she faced them head-on, drawing strength from the promise she had made to herself on that magical New Year's Eve.As the year unfolded, Lily's perseverance and determination paid off. She achieved things she had never thought possible, forging new friendships, mastering new skills, and overcoming obstacles with grace and courage. With each passing day, she grew stronger, wiser, and more confident, realizing that the power to shape her destiny lay within her own hands. As the next New Year approached, Lily looked back on the journey she had undertaken and marveled at how far she had come. She smiled as she remembered the doubts and fears that had once plagued her, knowing that she had emerged from them stronger and more resilient than ever before. And so, as the villagers gathered once again to welcome the arrival of the New Year, Lily stood among them, her heart overflowing with gratitude and hope. For she knewthat no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would face them with courage and determination, guided by the promise she had made to herself on that fateful New Year's Eve.And as the clock struck midnight and the fireworks lit up the sky once more, Lily closed her eyes and made a new resolution, not just for the year ahead, but for the rest of her life: to live each day with purpose, passion, and gratitude, embracing the journey and all its twists and turns, knowing that with each new year comes the opportunity for growth, renewal, and endless possibilities.。

At that time, people prepared the sacrifice by doing thorough cleaning, having bathes and so on. Later, people began to worship different deitiesas well on that day. It is the time that almost all the farm works weredone and people have free time. The sacrificing time changed according to the farming schedule and was not fixed until the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD). The customs of worshipping deities and ancestors remains even though the ceremonies are not as grand as before. It is also the time that spring is coming, so people held all kinds of ceremonies to welcome it.There are many legends about Spring Festival in Chinese culture. In folk culture, it is also called “guonian” (meaning “passing a year”). It is said that the “nian” (year) was a strong monster which was fierce andcruel and ate one kind of animal including human being a day. Human beings were scared about it and had to h ide on the evening when the “nian” came out. Later, people found that “nian” was very scared about the red color and fireworks. Among them, I like Mid-Autumn festival best, especially because I live in Xiamen. In Xiamen, when we celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival, we do not onlyfollow the common practices such as having a big dinner party with our family, eating mooncakes, and appreciating the full moon at night, we also have one unique custom which is only prac ticed in Xiamen, that is “Bo Bing”.“Bo Bing” is a very interesting game that almost all Xiamen people play during this festival. Usually family members or close friends get together around a table with a big round bowl in the middle and six dices in the bowl. We take turns to throw the dices into the bowl. We will get different prizes accroding to the different ways the dices show their upper sides. Everyone is likely to become the champion or “Zhuangyuan” for the year. There is an element of luck and equal opportunity in this game. So people usually get excited while playing. Also, the game gives very pleasant sounds. The tinkling made by the dices falling into the bowl is pleasant, people’s laughing, cheering and applauding for the big prizes they’ve won is pleasant. All this adds greatly to the joyful atmosphere of thisfestival. As a kid, of course I also like the material prizes I get fromthe game, such as a candy or a cake.In this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, my family invited our foreignfriends to come to our home to celebrate the Festival together. They have two children who are younger than me. While our parents were making Jiaozi together, we kids played “Bo Bing”. We bought quite some gifts to share with our guests as their prizes. They enjoyed the game and our get-together very much. The literal translation of “Bo Bing” is “mooncake gambling.” But actually it is not gambling, at least our family never plays it that way. For us, it is more an occasion of happy sharing and getting-together. This is why Xiamen’s Mid-Autumn Festival has become my favorite festival in the year.Thank you very much!新年的英文演讲稿精选篇6good afternoon everyone.i’m wu yunfei .today ,i’ll talk about the topic about spring festival .in my opinion ,the spring festival as the most influential traditional festival have important meaning for us .several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. city dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors. colorful lanterns are hung at the gate.all family members will get together on new year eve to have a big meal . during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. students do not go to school, and shops are closed. at the same time ,everyone celebrates to each other . when people meet on the way, they say to each other happy new year..at about 12 oclock, some parents and children light crackers.the whole sky is lighted brightly. we may watch the fireworks excitedly. how busy it is! on the first earlymorning of one year, friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. at that time, children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on.新年的英文演讲稿精选篇7When clock is belling,my heart ripple along with it,to distant withyou, transmit my missing,to be joyful! My dear friend! Please open the window, let the new year's wind blow your room and the snow flying in,my warming wish flutter to your heart!Flowers are disseminationing fragrant, friendship transmissing warm, hope us to brimming in a happy year, wishes you: Happy New Year! 有关春节的故事英文版The Story of the Spring FestivalThe Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, is the most important and festive holiday in China. It marks the beginning of a new year in the lunar calendar and is a time for family reunions, joy, and celebration. The story of the Spring Festival begins with the legend of the "Nian," a fierce beast that was said to attack villages on the eve of the new year, devouring everything in its path. People were terrified of Nian and its destructive power. However, one day, an old man came to the village and offered a solution. He suggested that on the eve of the new year, everyone stay up late, make loud noises, and display red paper cutouts and lights. They should also set off fireworks and give each other red envelopes filled with money as a symbol of good luck and protection. On the eve of the new year, the people of the village followed the old man's advice. As Nian approached, the loud noises, bright lights, and red paper cutouts scared it away. From then on, the people of the village celebrated the newyear with joy and excitement, following the same traditions every year to ensure Nian's permanent departure.Today, the traditions of the Spring Festival have evolved over time, but the essence remains the same. Families gather together on the eve of the new year to have a reunion dinner, known as "Nian Ye Fan," which usually consists of dishes that symbolize prosperity and good luck. Red paper cutouts and couplets are displayed on doors and windows, and fireworks are set off to scare away any evil spirits. The Spring Festival is also a time for giving red envelopes, known as "hongbao," to children and unmarried individuals. These envelopes are usually filled with money and are considered a symbol of good luck and blessings.Throughout the festival, people visit relatives and friends, exchange greetings, and enjoy various traditional activities such as dragon and lion dances, beating drums, and playing cards. The atmosphere is filled with joy, excitement, and a sense of community. The Spring Festival lasts for several days, and on the last day, people usually have a farewell dinner to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with hope and optimism. In conclusion, the Spring Festival is not just a holiday but a symbol of unity, joy, and hope for the Chinese people. It is a time for family reunions, giving, and celebration, and it reminds us of the importance of staying together and cherishing each other.。

Dear teachers and dear students, good evening:
This evening we are all gathered together to make the evening full of poetic expression. What I bring to you today is a talk about ourselves.
Class 1, class 2 students do not know whether still remember the school organized us to see a "let life full of love" lecture. I don't know what you think and what inspires you. After I saw it, I felt deeply. Part of it comes from the lecture and the other half of it is the behavior of all of you. While I was watching, I looked around. I saw some classmates burying their heads, but some of them were laughing. I was so surprised and shocked that he was laughing.
Ha ha, I want to ask all of you are really funny?
Do you really think it's funny? Are you qualified to laugh? When you're laughing, you don't think about how you treat your parents in the real world. And how your parents treat you. Remember which lecture I told you about this story:
A little girl quarreled with her parents and ran away from home. He was cold and hungry in the middle of the night, but she would not go home. A good man gave her a bowl of noodles, and she fell on her knees and said, you are my benediction! You are better than my mother! The good Samaritan listens, but accuses the little girl to say: "the child! I'm not supposed to give you this bowl of noodles. I just gave you a bowl of noodles and you thanked me by saying how much your parents had given you! The children finally wake up, but my dear classmates, did you wake up? It's time for you to wake up. You're not kids anymore. I have seen a story like this:
A child in my village asked his grandmother for money. His grandma only asked, "what do you want the money for, son?" The child was angry. He took the brick and threatened to say, "get the money quickly, or I'll
kill you." Grandma took the money out of her pocket and gave it to the child, but the child took the money and went away.
It was her delight, her excitement, she was glad that her child had finally grown up, and she was excited that her child had finally grown up.
My dear students wake up! Don't sleep in your own dreams. Wake up early! Today is a happy day, I should
not say this, but I can't help saying it, I hope you can remember that while you are happy, don't forget the parents who are bent over in the field! There is a point of dripping water. When your parents pay so much for you, how can you repay your parents? In fact, our parents are not very demanding and simple, but you and I can't understand it. The song "go home often" who can sing, but who really did it? As for the implied meaning of "meng mu SAN qian", "kong rong let the pear" and "the nine years of the age of incense" and so on, I said that you understand it, but you can't do it.
Well, from this day and today, let us strive to be the good son of our parents, with each of our love, with each of our own actions to repay their parents! Can my dear students do that? "Did the hard work of my parents only get so much noise? I really feel bad for all my parents!"
