趣味英语的开头和结尾作文英文回答:In the kaleidoscopic tapestry of human expression, language reigns supreme. As we delve into the fascinating world of English, the question arises: what makes English a language that sparks curiosity and ignites laughter? This essay embarks on a linguistic adventure to explore the allure of whimsical wordplay, the power of puns, and the delightful dance between words and meaning that characterizes the realm of English humor.English, with its rich vocabulary and nuanced grammar, offers a fertile ground for linguistic playfulness. Its vast array of homophones, homonyms, and synonyms beckons wordsmiths to craft witty repartee, tongue-in-cheek observations, and side-splitting puns. The ability to perceive the subtle differences between words – like "fair" and "fare," "stare" and "stair," "meat" and "meet" – becomes a source of amusement, as words dance and morphbefore our very eyes.Puns, the masters of wordplay, stand as shining examples of English's comedic capabilities. By exploiting the multiple meanings of words, puns juxtapose seemingly disparate concepts, creating a moment of surprise and laughter. The classic pun "Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana" not only plays on the homophonic similarity between "flies" and "flies," but also draws a humorous parallel between the swift passage of time and the clumsy flight of a fruit fly.Beyond puns, English's humor extends to the interplay between words and meaning. Irony, satire, and absurdity all find their home within the language's embrace. The ironic statement "I love it when my plans fall through" conveys a sentiment that is both amusing and relatable, while satire uses humor to critique societal norms and foibles. Absurdity, with its disregard for logic and reason, sparks laughter by presenting the unexpected and the nonsensical. The beauty of English humor lies not only in itsability to amuse but also in its capacity to foster connection and shared experiences. When we laugh together at a witty remark or a clever pun, we create a moment of linguistic camaraderie. Humor becomes a bridge that spans cultural divides, bringing people together through the universal language of laughter. In conclusion, English's linguistic versatility, its treasure trove of wordplay opportunities, and its ability to convey humor in myriad forms make it a language that dances with laughter. Its puns, its ironies, and its absurdities invite us to engage with language in a lighthearted and playful manner. As we navigate the complexities of life, may the whimsical spirit of English humor be our constant companion, bringing joy and laughter to our linguistic journey.中文回答:英语,凭借其丰富的词汇和微妙的语法,为语言上的嬉戏提供了沃土。

Title: The Joy of EnglishEnglish, a language that traverses boundaries and bridges cultures, has always fascinated me. It's not just a means of communication; it's a gateway to a world of knowledge and understanding. What makes learning English truly enjoyable is its vast vocabulary, rich grammar, and the endless possibilities it opens up.Vocabulary, the bread and butter of any language, is a treasure trove of words that paint pictures, evoke emotions, and tell stories. From the vibrant "vivid" to the peaceful "serene," each word is a new discovery, a window to a different world. Learning new words is like finding hidden gems, exciting and rewarding.Grammar, often perceived as dry and boring, is actually the backbone of English. It's what gives the language structure and meaning. When you master grammar, you unlock the ability to express yourself more clearly and precisely. From the simplest sentence to the most complex paragraph, grammar is the glue that holds it all together. But what really makes learning English fun is the fact that it's a language that knows no bounds. Whether you're exploring the literary works of Shakespeare or following the latest trends on social media, English is there, connecting you to the pulse of the world. It's a language that takes you to places you've never been, introduces you to people you've never met, and allows you to share experiences that are unique to you.In conclusion, the joy of English lies in its versatility, its beauty, and its ability to connect us all. This is not to say that it cannot be informative or persuasive; however, it is less a formal statement than a relaxed expression of opinion, observation, humour or pleasure. A good informal essay has a relaxed style but retains a strong structure, though that structure may be less rigid than in a formal paper. The informal essay tends to be more personal than the formal, even though both may express subjective opinions. In a formal essay the writer is a silent presence behind the words, while in an informal essay the writer is speaking directly to the reader in a conversational style. If you are writing informally, try to maintain a sense of your own personality. Do not worry about sounding academic, but avoid sloppiness. An Informal Essay--On PunctuationThe essay which follows is an opinion piece that was written forThe Globe and Mail. The style is therefore journalistic but aimed at a fairly sophisticated readership. Paragraphs are short, as is normal in a newspaper with its narrow columns, and the tone is more conversational than would be appropriate for a formal essay. Notice the clear statement of the thesis, the concrete illustrations in the body of the essay, and the way the conclusion leads to a more general statement of what is perhaps to come in the future. It is included here both because it is a good example of theessay form and because it explores the kind of problem you will come up against as you try to punctuate your essays correctly.Minding Your P'S And Q'Sby John AllemangI hereby call this meeting of Nit-pickers Anonymous to order. Today we will deal with the apostrophe, which you might say at first glance is as small a nit as can be picked. But let me suggest to you that even though the apostrophe is a tiny little mark on the page, it's use and misuse??make that its use and misuse--can lead to much head-scratching and irritation. You say this problem doesn't concern you. You say you know the in's and out's, the why's and wherefore's, of apostrophic etiquette. Or should that be ins, outs, whys, wherefores? Yes I think it should, although ins looks pretty strange on the page. And if ins looks strange, what about yeses and noes or hes and shes or ps and qs? Or should that be p's and q's? Yes, it should, according to the style I'm forced to follow at The Globe and Mail.Caught your attention? I didn't think so. It's??right one, this time??hard to interest anyone in apostrophes. They're easy, people say, or they don't matter. You'd've thought folks're smarter than that. It's thinking like this that has given us ads proclaiming "Potatoe's??49\O(,/) a kilo" or signs warning "Auto's parked illegally may be tagged and towed" or rock critics plugging Guns 'n Roses. Nits these may be, but the world is lousy with them. The problem with explaining apostrophes--apart from the fact that nobody takes them too seriously--is that they cannot be made systematic. We say Tom's and his the same way, and by that final s we mean the same thing, possession or belonging. But one carries an apostrophe and the other doesn't. The word his is theolder form, and shows us the possessive as our ancestors used to deal with it. His is the genitive, or possessive, form of the pronoun he, and nouns in English that indicated this grammatical relationship took this form. The apostrophe was originally added to show that letter e had been left out of the genitive, but by the 18th century the apostrophe was being used in almost all possessives, even those without an e.That may sound reasonably systematic, but the system is once again collapsing. That wouldn't be a bad thing if we could collapse in unison, and get rid of the apostrophe altogether and write dont instead of don't. But instead all is flux and we seem to be at sixes and sevens (six's and seven's? 6's and 7's? 6s and 7s?).Look at how we deal with periods of time. At The Globe, the decade of rampant materialism and Gorbymania was called the 1980s, but at The New York Times they say the 1980's. Since there is nothing omitted here and no suggestion of possession, I can't see why The Times carries on in this way. The reasoning of The Times' word columnist, William Safire, is that the apostrophe is used to form the plurals of numbers and letters, and so there.Mr. Safire compares p's and q's, and the phrase dressed to the nine's, but to my mind the truth is not quite so self-evident. If one rule of writing is to keep punctuation to a minimum, then I think that 1980s, a natural looking plural, is much nicer than 1980's. Accept 1980's and you start referring to The Smith's or the delegation of MP's.But what about p's and q's? The reason we don't mind them at The Globe is that individual letters are easier to see as individual letters, uncluttered by a neighbouring s. And here's where we get unsystematic. Turn those letters into capitals and suddenly they're As and Bs and MPs and VIPs, comprehensibleand a little more elegant without the apostrophe. This kind of plural is made easier when you have left out the periods between letters, as is more and more the case with modern style. But still there is confusion. For every St. Andrew's, there is a St. Andrews, where long use has banished the apostrophe and made the s part of the name. St. Catharines, St. Marys, St. Davids, Canada is full of slights to punctuation. The Canadian Teachers' Federation is doing its best to keep the apostrophe alive, but what can they do against the massed forces of the Canadian Swine Breeders Association and the Teamsters union? We are turning away from the apostrophe. (The Globe and Mail, March 23, 1991. Reprinted by permission.)。

英文趣味读物作文初中英文:As a middle school student, I always find itinteresting to read some fun articles in English. Reading humorous articles not only helps me improve my English skills, but also gives me a good laugh. Here are some of my favorite English fun articles. One of my favorite articles is "The Ultimate Guide to Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse." It's a humorous take on how to survive in a world overrun by zombies. The article is filled with witty remarks and sarcastic comments that make it a fun read. For example, the article advises readers to "always carry a can of bug spray" because "zombies hate the smell of DEET."Another article I enjoy is "The 10 Most Ridiculous Things People Have Ever Bought on Amazon." This article lists some of the weirdest and most unnecessary itemspeople have purchased on Amazon, such as a "banana slicer" and a "unicorn meat" can. The article is entertaining and makes me wonder why people would buy such things. In addition, I also like reading funny stories and jokes. One of my favorite jokes is: "Why did the tomatoturn red? Because it saw the salad dressing!" It's a silly joke, but it always makes me chuckle.

如:What is it?一队的学生描述一件东西,如,It has four legs. It’s made of wood. It’s u sed for sitting.另一队学生就可答:It’s a chair. 这种猜测游戏可锻炼学生的思维能力,加深学生对生词的印象。

(2)将相关的词配对。

例如:corn pencil mouse army money boardcup cigarette street cat match breedpen sauccer general bank(3)给名词配上适当的形容词。

例如:silver the sky in summer yellow grassgreen butter blue a London taxi(4)单词竞赛。

1 know a ____ (adj) man whose name is ____(man’s name). He lives in _____(country). He is a _____(job) who likes _____(V-ing). He eats_____(food) and he drinks _____(drink). He has a ______(animal).2.

学习这个词时,便应联想起其它与感官有关的系动词look(看起来),smell(闻起来),taste(尝起来),feel(摸起来)等。

学习词组a quantity of就会联想起Plenty of, a supply of, a lot of, a great deal of, a number of , scores of 等词组,因为它们的意义相同或相近。

同时还可以联想到这些词的用法的相似性。

(2)对比联想对比联想的核心是由一概念自然而然地引发对另一概念的联想。

尤其是一些反义词常常引起对比联想。

反义词在同一语言中属于同一词性,它们意义相反,对比强烈,对大脑输入的刺激信号会强于一般的信号,引起众多的反应点,因此我们常常能联想记忆在一起。

例如:open-close,pass-fail,present-absent,false-true,always-never,ancient-modern;coward-hero,inerease-deerease,ancestor-descendant。

在某些固定成语或谚语中,反义词的应用更是不胜枚举:now and then,more haste,lesss speed,short pleasure,long lament,United we stand,divided we fall。
