On July 16th, Neil and two other astronauts named Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins blasted off aboard a gigantic Saturn V rocket. It took them three days to travel the 250,000 miles to the moon!When they got into orbit around the moon, Neil and Buzz climbed into a tiny spacecraft called the Lunar Module or "Eagle" and separated from the main spacecraft that Michael piloted. The Eagle then descended down to the surface of the moon while Michael stayed in orbit.
