And men who eat fish several timesa week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchershave told the American Association for Cancer Research. The studies add to a growing body of evidence about the role of dietin cancer. Cancer experts now believe that up to two-thirds of all cancerscome from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and lack of exercise. The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the Universityof Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofuand miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancerby 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, thoughcompounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects.A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a weekhad a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared withmen who ate fish less than once a week. Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interferewith the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.据美国研究人员报告,儿童时期经常吃豆类食品的女性患乳腺癌的风险较小。

大学生英语演讲稿篇1As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English.I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that aftercontinuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you!正如每个人所知,英语在今天十分重要。

It's my honor to speak here and I am veryglad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “mydream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are:a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. Theyare older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! Howdo they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow ricethemselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves!I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remainhumble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do notwant to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be runningaround in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life justas they have.Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on mybirthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore.I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fightso much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. Theydo! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want themto live a happy life as well.I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beautyof our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great!I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down tothe south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my countrywith my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my countryon my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreamsin life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would havelived a full and prosperous life.Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.I thank you!大学英语演讲稿范文三分钟 (4) Today, I speak for everyone is "homeland in my heart." The "From myparents, who raised my homeland." "Country Country, there is only homecountry." Much more appropriate Say ah! So I love my homeland, more thanall my love. Yes ah, me at any time, anywhere, please do not forget that everyone must own a Chinese, there must be patriotic.Love my homeland, because I love her beautiful landscape. Look, that Mr. Laoshe Daxinganling described the boundless expanse of blue water, not only could not finish going, but also not object to watch, she brought up the number of rare birds and animals, and the number of literary production. It is no wonder that Mr. Lao said she did not empty the United States, but became one of the concrete construction of the United States. Listening, always pour it, rolling in the Yangtze River water from milk such as the general nourishment of this magical land, raising a great nation. First visit to the majestic Mount Tai to visit her, "you would be extremely Ling, list of small hills," the majestic momentum error indicates that the Chinese nation will be permitted on nations of the world ? Times and then a peaceful trip to the West Lake water gently, she like wonderful, and the mind to absorb a large number of rivers of water, symbolizing the Chinese nation is not correct that the character of tolerance and generosity of mind ?I love Her love of the motherland is not only plants, mountain water, but also love her long and splendid history and culture. Five thousand years long history, the number of Chinese heritage and splendid culture ah! Lively and cute characters, bearing the success or failure of the Chinese nation. Away of the "Book of Songs" "Li Sao" Let the Spring and Autumn scene also shows us, the Tang Dynasty style often linger in the mind; Song, Yuan catchy sound of loud reading, people at the mouth widely sung; the Ming and Qing Dynasties as if the spirit of the novel with meto grow food. Also remember the moving story of the clanksake of the general good ear drums also vowed; still remember the "no lifesince ancient times who die, according to Khan, to retain loyaltyclearance" of the Zhuang bold and heroic image of Wen Tianxiang as if stillpresent; still remember "Wang Zhongyuan date scheduled for the Northdivision, been forgotten," the earnest warning, Lu You died long beforethe confession echoed in the mind. Zhan Tianyou resolutely not afraid toaccept the difficult task is not afraid of ridicule; Qian reputation togive up money, after a difficult return to its motherland; jewel of theunknown soldier Island to the island as their home, determined to put anisland built. During my stay here,I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experienceall tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum,friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there withthem.Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more freetime,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societiesclubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our lifemore colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The universityis a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided.Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refusedby a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimeswe fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excitedafter gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up.We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we becomea better person.University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know,I enjoy it!大学英语演讲稿范文三分钟 (9) Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! 大学生毕业简短演讲稿英语稿范文五篇
大学生毕业简短演讲稿英语稿范文五篇演讲稿英语1Thank you. Thank you.Good morning! Good morning, Class of 2021! You look fabulous!Though many of you may…maybe you feel a little bit tired?Last night, some of you were out to dinner with family. Some of you were up late packing. And some of you went out with classmates and friends. And this is Penn, I have to ask: How many of you managed to do all three?Okay, I thought so! But did anyone here last night find time to turn on the TV…maybe turn it on…to HBO?Are you ready? Are you ready? It’s time for a special edition of Game of Thrones!Graduates: All of you today sit on either side of a great divide. To my right: Southern Alliance! Among you are several Great Houses.Arrayed on the field are members of House Engineering! House Nursing! House Wharton! Houses…Houses Medicine to Dental; Law to…Law to Design; SP2 to Education; and Annenberg to Vet! All…all ofyou to my right form the Southern Alliance! Now, to my left: The Northern Alliance! Your Great…your Great Houses may be fewer…your Great Houses may be fewer, but man, are they big?演讲稿英语2Arrayed on the field, as you can see, are the members…many m embers of House College! And House Arts and Sciences! All of you…all of you to my left form the Northern Alliance. We have two sides, and spoiler alert: we’re going to do battle. But instead of a battle with spears, this will be a Battle of Cheers.Whoops! Who left a Starbucks cup here? Not supposed to be here! Oh well, oh well…. We’ll figure that out later.I’m…I’m going to call on each of your Alliances in turn. When I do, you need to make…I hate to ask, I know how hard it is, but you need to make the most noise you can. The side that cheersthe loudest wins! Okay? Ready?Okay, let’s hear it from the Southern Alliance!Impressive! Impressive! Okay, now let’s hear it from the NorthernAlliance! Alright! Also …also impressive!B oth sides gave it your very best shot. Now it falls to me….But I will not call a winner. Instead, instead, I ask you to consider this a window into the human heart.Listen up. Here we are, proud members of the Penn community – thisbeloved community. Yet, when called upon, how readily we divide to do battlefor our side.Game of Thrones became a global phenomenon for many reasons. We obsessover the characters. We love the dragons and the drama. But its deepest attraction is allegorical.演讲稿英语3In the walls of ice, in the thrones of iron, we see a mirror for our times. We recognize our own world, where too many live for their tribe alone. Where too often, we listen only to those who think, look, and believe as we do.Where the game seems rigged against open and free exploration. We hear too few dissenting voices, and we consider too few conflicting views. But remember: None of this is inevitable. We can glorify our own tribe to the exclusion of others. We can build upour walls, and we can cast down those who are different.Or we can better use the strength in our hearts and the power in our hands. Our many identities and beliefs: We make these our threads. Our diverse backgrounds and goals: They become our loom. From this world of differences, we can weave a tapestry of communities.Weaving…yeah…weaving is hard work, especially when we interlace manyinto one. Our identities may clash. Our beliefs diverge. We disagree over where we want to go. We argue about the best wayto get there. But when – together – we embrace the challenge, the cloth of human understanding grows more resilient. We craft something stronger by far…by far than iron thrones and walls of ice.演讲稿英语4As many of you may know, I am a first-generation college graduate –I’m proud of it. My family had very little money. We lived in a small town. And try as I might to fit in, I always felt like an outsider and often was treated as one. My father was an immigrant, and the only person around who spoke with a strong foreign accent. Inelementary school, I was the only Jewish girl. And…and one day – I remember this vividly – in fifth grade, I learned just how easily false stereotypes about minorities can arise. That’s when another blond-haired, blue-eyed girl moved into my class. My best friend Diane took one look, turned to me, and said, “Oh! She must be Jewish, too!”My hometown may not have understood or celebrated diversity, but it treated me and my family respectfully.I never took that for granted given my father’s escape from Nazi Germany. My parents even joined with others in neighboring towns to create the first synagogue.Wonderfully…wonderfully…wonderfully dedicated and caring teachers helped prepare me for college. And I couldn’t wait to go.演讲稿英语5when I finally arrived on campus, I was in for a surprise. In fact, I was stunned. I had never before in my life felt poor. As a scholarship student, suddenly, I was surrounded by people whowere so astoundingly rich! I was also fascinated by this and other differences – different faiths, politics, ethnicities, and culture. And sure, at times it was uncomfortable. There were many moments I just wanted to turn around and go back home to my mother’s warm embrace – and also her great home cooking! And like every one of you…every one of you, I made the best, most important choice of my life: I would pick up the threads of differences to weave myself a new community. This would become my cause, my mission, my identity. I had found my purpose, rooted in beloved community.I was inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King. He called upon usall to embrace inclusion, love, and justice. He preached the soul force of nonviolent protest. He warned against the perils of tribalism, of clinging to the familiar and holding sacred the status quo.King famously addressed his…go ahead…he famously addressed his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” not to his jailers, but to his “fellow clergymen.”He challenged them to reject the status quo. In King’s words, we find the ess ence of beloved community, recognizing that: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”感谢您的阅读,祝您生活愉快。

优秀大学生英语演讲稿范文(精选13篇)优秀大学生英语演讲稿范文篇1someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i h ave to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.a poet said “to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s s how our right palms. we can see three lines that show how ourlove.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.”一些人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。

大学英语演讲稿范文1in order to get high marks, some students figure out all the ways, the worse situation is to plagiarize other student’s hard-working. plagiarism is a big mistake, the teachers are always emphasizing it, but the lazy students go against the rule, they want to pass assessment easily. these students should be shameful about themselves.on the one hand, plagiarizing means the lack of respect of other students’ hard-working. students need to spend many hours and put a lot of effort to finish the paper; the outcome means their wisdom and paid, just as the old saying, “no pain, no gain”. while the lazy students destroy other students’ effort, they jus t get the job done withouttheir own thinking; they can even get the more high marks. this is very unfair; every student should finish the task in their own wisdom, showing respect to each other.on the other hand, the students who are used to plagiarism will end up hurting themselves. if the students’ such behavior is found by others, they will get bad record in their files, which means they will have problem on trust issues, it is hard for them to find a job. if they are lucky to not be found, they still learn nothing, they lack of ability.in conclusion, plagiarism is a shameful behavior; students should learn things by their own minds.

1Commencement is a milestone—one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future. At the University of Michigan, Spring Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event where graduates are recognized by their school or college as a group, and honorary degrees are conferred. In addition to Spring Commencement, which all graduates are welcome to attend, each school, college and campus hold individual ceremonies to celebrate their graduates’ accomplishments.Class of 20xx, Congratulations!I join your professors, family members and friends in expressing my utmost pride as we celebrate your accomplishments as the newest graduates of the University of Michigan.Graduates, you did it!Each one of you earned a place here – and you made the most of it.I know that for many of you, the road to get here was not easy. Perhaps you traversed some potholes along the way.I have it on the highest authority, however, that these potholes are about to be filled, and the roads are going to get fixed …But for those of you who are first-generation students, military veterans, or from communities, cities and towns thatdon’t send many students to Michigan –I hope you are especially relishing this day.As members of the Class of 20xx, all of you have conquered the rigors of our curricula. You exceled in your studies, your research, your advocacy and your service. You found ways to navigate central campus, when we decided to renovate the LS&A building and the Union at the same time. And you even survived a polar vortex – with not one, but TWO, days of canceled classes.Since we are here, you must have used that time to study.演讲稿英语2We live in an era of accelerating change where often as a society and as individuals we seem to be struggling to keep up.Graduation is all about change. And at Michigan that means it’s not only about the change in you, it’s about the changes you will contribute to in society. In the fall of 20xx, when many of you started as undergraduates here at Michigan, our world was a different place.Me Too was not yet a hashtag. The event horizon of a black hole had never been imaged. And midterm voter turnout on university campuses across the country was just 19 percent. Each of these examples, in their own way, demonstrates the often long and difficult path to change. The Me T oo Movement was founded in 20xx by activist and sexual assault survivor Tarana Burke. Burke wanted to provide a place for survivors to tell their stories, for empathy, and for healing. She spent more than a decade persevering and advocating on the behalf of those whose stories are marginalized, or not told at all. Then the idea she started went viral, transforming intoglobal conversation and, we must hope, change. The image of the black hole event horizon presented last month required two years of computer analysis, data from 8 observatories on three continents, and a team of 200 scientists, which included 20xx U-M Electrical Engineering graduate Katie Bouman. We have now seen what had previously been described as un-seeable, and pushed the frontiers of knowledge to the darkest regions of the universe. And during the 20xx midterm election, Tufts University reports that youth turnout increased in every state for which they have data. In 27 states, it rose by double digits.Plus, precincts that serve Big Ten campuses saw their turnout increase by an average of 24 percentage points. This is more than double the increase in nearby areas, indicating that students made their voice heard. Higher turnout was a goal of the Big Ten Voting Challenge. Well done!Choosing to commit to the work needed to make change, and see it through, can produce amazing results – but it can also frustrate.Change doesn’t happen in a straight line. It’s messy. It can take years, or even decades. But when it is founded on principled dedication, collaboration, and hope – all the ingredients are in place. Our campus has wonderful examples.演讲稿英语3Last month we opened our Trotter Multicultural Center on State Street. This inspirational new home devoted to unity, peace and understanding brings together people from all backgrounds, in a building planned and designed in collaboration withstudents. It was an historic change for our campus — and it was made possible by a legacy of student activism. Members of our Black Student Union, past and present, shared their experiences on our campus and their aspirations for a better Michigan. Some are even graduating today. They mobilized their fellow students and called on, and worked with, the university to create the new Trotter. And while our work to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion is far from finished, the University of Michigan is changed for the better.Another member of the Class of 20xx used the power of journalism to create change. In March of 20xx, Kevin Sweitzer wrote an editorial in the Michigan Daily criticizing the name of a house in our West Quad residence hall. Winchell House had been named after a 19th century U-M professor, whose published work supported white supremacy. In 20xx, Kevin submitted a formal request under the process we established to reconsider the names of university spaces. After a review by our prominent committee of historians, humanists, and many other experts, we removed the Winchell name.Kevin is graduating today, from a university changed for the better.CSG President Daniel Greene, who also graduates today, spent much of his time in office advocating for greater affordability, food security, mental health services, and diversity. The results produced by CSG this year include a housing survey, the expansion of a food pantry for students in need, greater mental health awareness, and a plan to help student organizations achieve their full potential.演讲稿英语4As Daniel goes on to Teach for America, he leaves a university that is changed for the better. The changes you have seen on campus and around the globe also provide a roadmap that can serve as a guide to the changes you can create in society.Purposefully contributing to change requires courage, trust, and the willingness to listen and consider many voices. It works best when trust is built by finding common ground, and when we reject the view that it is “us versus them” — that there must be winners and losers. This is how we can overcome the erosion of trust and begin to collaborate to work through differences. It takes courage to open ourselves up to opinions and interpretations we don’t agree with. But it’s also how we learn, sharpen our own arguments, and hone our ability to persuade others.Your time at Michigan has provided a wonderful proving ground to develop your ability to create change. Where else can you seek solutions among such talented scholars, all pursuing knowledge and understanding to advance a quintessentially public mission?U-M is a place where data and evidence matter, where all voices can be heard, and where talented and hard-working students emerge as leaders and best.演讲稿英语5Our passion for change is why we are the nation’s No. 1 public research university. It’s why the discovery process has been a foundational centerpiece of our Michigan DNA for more than 200 years. It’s why we strive, always, to extend our impact beyond the borders of our campus – to the communities we serve, and to the frontiers of human knowledge that now span galaxies. It’s why I hope you are asking, on the day of your graduation, what you can change next. The challenges we face as a society are numerous and complex – from climate change to poverty to conflict between nations. But these and many other challenges can unite us as we strive for change – if we choose the path of courage.Listen to different views.Trust one another.Find common ground. And commit to the discussions and the discoveries that can produce a better world.Class of 20xx, our society is yours to change.Seek out new evidence, develop new methods, and consider many points of view. And choose the path that will make ours a better world – as you Go discover, Go achieve, Go serve, and Go Blue!。

英语演讲稿范文大学生(3篇)
第1篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is a great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is not only relevant to us as young adults but also crucial for the future of our planet. The topic I wish to discuss is "Embracing the Future: The Role of Young Leaders in Shaping a Sustainable World."As we gather here today, the world is facing unprecedented challenges. Climate change, pollution, inequality, and technological advancements are just a few of the issues that demand our attention and action. It is within this context that I believe the role of young leaders becomes paramount. We, as the younger generation, are the inheritors of this world, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it remains a viable and sustainable place for future generations.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. We are the most connected generation in history. With the advent of social media and digital platforms, we have the ability to spread awareness, mobilize our peers, and influence public opinion on a global scale. This connectivity has given us a unique opportunity to amplify our voices and bring about change. We can use this power to raise awareness about environmental issues, promote social justice, and advocate for policies thatprioritize sustainability. One of the most pressing issues we face today is climate change. The effects of global warming are becoming increasingly evident, with extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and loss of biodiversity. As young leaders, we have a responsibility to take action and promote sustainable practices. This can be achieved through various means:1. Education: We must educate ourselves and others about the causes and consequences of climate change. By increasing awareness, we can inspire action and promote informed decision-making.2. Innovation: We have the creativity and drive to develop innovative solutions to combat climate change. This can involve researchingrenewable energy sources, developing sustainable agricultural practices, or creating eco-friendly products.3. Advocacy: We must use our voices to advocate for policies that prioritize sustainability. This includes pressuring governments and corporations to reduce their carbon emissions, invest in renewable energy, and protect natural habitats.Moving beyond climate change, we must also address the issue of inequality. The world is divided by class, race, gender, and socio-economic status. As young leaders, we have the power to bridge these divides and create a more equitable society. Here are a few ways in which we can do so:1. Empowerment: We must work to empower marginalized communities by providing access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. This will help reduce poverty and inequality.2. Inclusive Leadership: We should strive to be inclusive leaders, ensuring that our teams and organizations reflect the diversity of society. This will not only promote innovation but also foster a more just and equitable world.3. Solidarity: We must stand together in solidarity with those who are affected by inequality. By supporting social justice movements and advocating for the rights of all individuals, we can create a more just and equal society. In addition to addressing these critical issues, we must also embrace the opportunities presented by technological advancements. As young leaders, we are well-equipped to navigate the digital landscape and harness technology for the betterment of society. Here are a few ways in which we can do so:1. Digital Literacy: We must ensure that everyone has access to digital literacy training, enabling them to navigate the digital world and participate in the global economy.2. Technology for Good: We can use technology to address social challenges by developing apps and platforms that promote education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.3. Collaboration: We must collaborate with other stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations, to leverage technology for the greater good.As young leaders, we have the potential to shape the future in profound ways. However, it is essential that we do not take this responsibility lightly. We must be proactive, informed, and compassionate. Here are a few tips to help us on our journey:1. Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated on current events, scientific research, and social trends. This will enable you to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to the conversation.2. Lead by Example: Demonstrate sustainable practices in your own life, and encourage others to do the same. This can include reducing your carbon footprint, recycling, and conserving resources.3. Build Networks: Connect with like-minded individuals and organizations to share ideas, resources, and support. This will help you amplify your impact and create a ripple effect of positive change.4. Embrace Failure: Understand that failure is a part of the learning process. Do not be afraid to take risks and learn from your mistakes. In conclusion, as young leaders, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of our world. By addressing the challenges of climate change, inequality, and technological advancements, we can create a sustainable, just, and equitable society. Let us embrace our power, stay informed, and lead with compassion. Together, we can make a difference and leave a lasting legacy.Thank you for your attention, and let us work towards a brighter future.[Applause]第2篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is an honor to stand before you today to address the theme of "Embracing the Future: The Role of Young Minds in Shaping a Sustainable World." As young adults, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in history, where the decisions we make today will have a lasting impact on the planet and its inhabitants for generations to come. The world we live in is rapidly changing. Technological advancements, climate change, and global economic shifts are transforming the landscape of our planet. These changes present both challenges and opportunities, and it is up to us, the younger generation, to rise to the occasion and play a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. We are the most innovative, adaptable, and resourceful generation in history. Our minds are unburdened by the constraints of traditional thinking, and we have the potential to imagine and create solutions that were once thought impossible. From renewable energy to sustainable agriculture, fromsocial entrepreneurship to environmental activism, young people have been at the forefront of many groundbreaking initiatives.Consider the story of Greta Thunberg, a young climate activist from Sweden. At just 15 years old, she sparked a global movement by striking from school to demand action on climate change. Her courage and determination have inspired millions of young people around the world to join the fight for a sustainable future. This is just one example of how the power of youth can influence global change. Now, let us explore the challenges we face. The environmental crisis is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned that we must take urgent action to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius to avoid catastrophic consequences. As young adults, we are inheritors of this crisis, and it is our responsibility to take action.Education is key. We must be well-informed about the issues at hand and understand the science behind climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. By equipping ourselves with knowledge, we can become informed advocates for change and inspire others to do the same.Innovation is another crucial aspect of our role. We must embrace new technologies and approaches that can help us reduce our ecological footprint and create a more sustainable world. Renewable energy, clean transportation, and sustainable urban planning are just a few examples of the innovative solutions that young people can drive forward.Collaboration is also essential. No single individual or organization can solve the complex problems we face alone. We must work together across borders, cultures, and disciplines to share knowledge, resources, and ideas. By fostering a sense of global citizenship, we can create a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.Furthermore, we must not underestimate the power of advocacy. Young people have the ability to raise awareness and influence public opinion. By using social media, attending protests, and engaging in dialogue with policymakers, we can amplify our voices and push for the changes we want to see.Let us also remember the importance of personal responsibility. As individuals, we can make small changes in our daily lives thatcontribute to a larger movement. This includes reducing our consumption, recycling, and supporting sustainable businesses. Every action, no matter how small, has the potential to create a ripple effect ofpositive change. In conclusion, the future of our planet lies in the hands of young people. We have the potential to be the leaders, innovators, and change-makers that the world needs. By embracing the challenges ahead, we can create a sustainable world that is equitable, prosperous, and resilient. Here are some key points to remember:1. The power of youth: We are innovative, adaptable, and resourceful.2. The challenges we face: Environmental crisis, climate change, and resource depletion.3. Education: We must be well-informed about the issues at hand.4. Innovation: We must embrace new technologies and approaches.5. Collaboration: We must work together across borders and disciplines.6. Advocacy: We must raise awareness and influence public opinion.7. Personal responsibility: We must make small changes in our daily lives.Ladies and gentlemen, the future is not a distant dream; it is a reality that we are shaping right now. Let us rise to the occasion and become the leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can create a sustainable worldthat is worth inheriting.Thank you.第3篇Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is a great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is not only crucial to our generation but to the future of humanity – embracing the future and the role of young minds in shaping a sustainable world. As we navigate through the complexities of the 21st century, it is clear that the challenges we face are unprecedented. Climate change, economic inequality, political tensions, and technological advancements are just a few of the issues that demand our immediate attention. However, amidst these challenges lies an incredible opportunity: the potential for young people to lead the charge in creating a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. Young people are the most connected, innovative, and adaptable generation in history. With access to information, technology, and global networks, we have thetools to address the world's most pressing issues. Our energy, passion, and idealism are the driving forces behind social movements, technological breakthroughs, and cultural shifts. But what exactly does it mean to embrace the future, and how can we, as young minds, play a pivotal role in shaping it?1. Education and Knowledge:The foundation of any sustainable future lies in education. We must prioritize a comprehensive education system that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of our planet. By equipping ourselves with knowledge, we can better comprehend the challenges we face and contribute meaningful solutions.2. Environmental Stewardship:Climate change is perhaps the most pressing issue of our time. As young people, we have a responsibility to advocate for sustainable practices, promote renewable energy, and protect our natural resources. By taking action in our communities, we can inspire others to join the cause and drive systemic change.3. Social Innovation:The world is in dire need of innovative solutions to address social inequalities. Young entrepreneurs, activists, and leaders are at the forefront of creating sustainable businesses, non-profit organizations, and social enterprises that address the needs of marginalized communities. By taking on leadership roles in our communities, we can inspire others to take action and hold our leaders accountable. Through advocacy and activism, we can push for policies that promote sustainability, equality, and justice. In conclusion, embracing the future means taking responsibility for the world we want to live in. As young minds, we have the potential to lead the charge in creating a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world. By focusing on education, environmental stewardship, social innovation, global citizenship, and leadership, we can make a tangible impact on the challenges we face.Let us not underestimate the power of our collective voice and actions. Together, we can build a future that is bright, hopeful, and full of possibilities. It is time for us to step up, take charge, and shape the world we want to see.Thank you.。
大学生优秀英语演讲稿范文7篇
大学生优秀英语演讲稿范文7篇大学生优秀英语演讲稿范文 (1) Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen,Before the speech, I would like to share a famous experiment with you.Two big mice were put into one vessel which was filled with water. Theybegan to struggle when they were aware of danger. But finally their livesjust lasted 8 minutes. After that, another two joined the same experimentbut this time a springboard was given to help them get out of water. Fivedays later, the two experienced big mice were put into the same experiment.A miracle came into being. Can you guess it? Without the spring board, they survived 24 minutes, three times as many as the first time.Have you found the difference between the two groups? Just one thingis that the latter has owned a kind of spiritual strength ---hope.People can lose many things except hope. One animal with hope is morerespectable than one person with hopelessness. Therefore, everyone shouldbe to hope in the life. We should have our goals, dreams, and beliefstogether with the endless hope. Hope is light; hope is dawn; hope is therising sun. Hope endows us with courage, confidence and power. Pleasethink about the Red Army men and the last group of people rescued duringearthquakes. Why can they adhere to the end? Because they believed in hope.It is hope that nurtures persistence; it is hope that creates miraclesone by one. Now, please look at this. What's this? I know all of you can give mea correct answer. Yes, it is a leaf. Have you ever thought more about it?Do you believe it can save a life? I am afraid most of you do not believeit. However, it really saved one young lady. The story happened in oneof O.Henry's works. One patient was told that her disease was becomingmore and more serious. So she lost heart to live. And she just livedcommonly and hopelessly to await death together with a withered treeoutside her window. Because she thought when the last leaf fell, her lifewould go to the end. But after a very long time, she found the last leafwas still green and fresh in the tree and she was also alive. Afterwards, she was told that the last leaf was just painted by a skilled painter onthe window which was a gloss. At that time, she exceedingly regreted herforegone view.So ladies and gentlemen, please give a leaf to yourselves. With a pieceof leaf at hand, you will find life glows with glory; With a gleam of hopein mind, you will find everything goes with smoothness. To hope, to smoothaway all the difficulties, to take every obstacle in stride. You are ashinning star. Thank you very much!

Tribute to the dogGentlemen of the Jury:The best friend a man has in the world may turn against him and become his enemy. His son or daughter that he has reared with loving care may prove ungrateful. Those who are nearest and dearest to us, those whom we trust with our happiness and our good name may become traitors to their faith. The money that a man has, he may lose. It flies away from him, perhaps when he needs it most. A man#39;s reputation may be sacrificed in a moment of ill-considered action. The people who are prone to fall on their knees to do us honor when success is with us, may be the first to throw the stone of malice when failure settles its cloud upon our heads. The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. A man#39;s dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master#39;s side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer. He will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings, and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.英语即兴演讲话题篇二we have heard time and time again that the evidence reflects the payment to defendants money. the president had knowledge that these funds were being paid and these were funds collected for the 1972 presidential campaign. we know that the president met with mr. henry petersen 27 times to discuss matters related to watergate, and immediately thereafter met with the very persons who were implicated in the information mr. petersen was receiving. the words are: if the president is connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter that person, he may be impeached.justice story: impeachment is attended -- is intended for occasional and extraordinary cases where a superior power acting for the whole people is put into operation to protect their rights and rescue their liberties from violations. we know about the huston plan. we know about the break-in of the psychiatrist#39;s office. we know that there was absolute complete direction on september 3rd when the president indicated that a surreptitious entry had been made in dr. fielding#39;s office, after having met with mr. ehrlichman and mr. young. protect their rights. rescue their liberties from violation.the carolina ratification convention impeachment criteria: those are impeachable who behave amiss or betray their public trust.4 beginning shortly after the watergate break-in and continuing to the present time, the president has engaged in a series of public statements and actions designed to thwart the lawful investigation by government prosecutors. moreover, the president has made public announcements and assertions bearing on the watergate case, which the evidence will show he knew to be false. these assertions, false assertions, impeachable, those who misbehave. those who behave amiss or betray the public trust.james madison again at the constitutional convention: a president is impeachable if he attempts to subvert the constitution. the constitution charges the president with the task of taking care that the laws be faithfully executed, and yet the president has counseled his aides to commit perjury, willfully disregard the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, conceal surreptitious entry, attempt to compromise a federal judge, while publicly displaying his cooperation with the processes of criminal justice. a president is impeachable if he attempts to subvert the constitution.if the impeachment provision in the constitution of the united states will not reach the offenses charged here, then perhaps that 18th-century constitution should be abandoned to a 20th-century paper shredder.has the president committed offenses, and planned, and directed, and acquiesced in a course of conduct which the constitution will not tolerate? that#39;s the question. we know that. we know the question. we should now forthwith proceed to answer the question. it is reason, and not passion, which must guide our deliberations, guide our debate, and guide our decision.i yield back the balance of my time, mr. chairman.英语演讲篇三I am losing friends left and right, well, actually, only left. Some friendships, however, have been strengthened during this election. When I was 6, I learned a song: Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other#39;s gold. Even as a child, I was a born raconteur, so I always had lots of friends. But, by the time I got to fourth grade, I was already getting into political brawls. Early on, I began living my politically active mother#39;s joke, My name, it opens some doors and closes others.I learned to tone it down a bit by the time I got to college. As a theater major, it was fun in an acting class one day, when we each had to pretend to be another student. I chose to mimic a beautiful petite girl with long dark hair. She was my polar opposite, this former cheerleader-turned-hippie-princess named Michelle. She got a kick out of my impression of her. I thought it was cool that she could laugh at herself. We began a friendship that has brought us to the present day.Yet we were always opposites. I am Roman Catholic, she is Jewish. I am tall, she is short. One rainy afternoon on campus, Michelle insisted on carrying the umbrella for both of us, (I don#39;t think I stood up straight until the net day!)Back then, she was as passionate a Democrat as I was a Republican. However, my friend and I still had something in common that was more important than all the differences. We shared the same values and they showed up in a dozen little ways. That is why we are friends almost 30 years later. Furthermore, she had been moving in my direction politically before, but Sept. 11, 20, brought us to a new level of communication. We have bonded even more during this election.Sadly, I also have re-evaluated some other friendships as tensions increased due to the Kerry-Edwards demagoguery. This is the first time in memory that I#39;ve even been appalled by both spouses of the Democratic ticket. I rather liked Tipper Gore and Hadassa Lieberman. I thought they were sweet. And that#39;s the way I used to feel about my liberal pals. But, now a Teresa Heinz-Kerry-like irrationality/Elizabeth Edwards snotty innuendo has infected some of them -- and it makes them unpleasant to be around. This election may leave those friendships in its wake. The outlook is definitely not good for their Christmas card inclusion.Sept. 11, Iraq, the demonization of Israel by Kerry#39;s European fans, the beheadings -- all of the latter just doesn#39;t seem to change the #39;90s mentality of those I know who are voting for the Democratic Party ticket. Like Kerry, they still seem to consider the United States#39; life-and-death struggle a nuisance. These liberal friends of mine are certainly not bad people, but deep down, they still don#39;t get that we are at war with a greater evil than any of us has ever known. Combined with the etremism culturally on the left, these people are becoming more than a nuisance themselves. The sobering fact is that these friendships are just too taing (in both senses of that word). Those relationships have become like old prom dresses in that they just don#39;t fit anymore. There comes a point where some associations can become a fire hazard in one#39;s closet. It may be time to do spring cleaning, even if the season is autumn.Sure, friends can#39;t agree on everything, nor are they supposed to but though I may think someone#39;s a nice person, fun, etc., increasingly deep differences in our world view can#39;t be ignored in these frightening times.Three decades later, Michelle is no longer the shorter-than-me actress who insisted on carrying the umbrella as we walked to class, though she is still shorter than me. But she and I easily walk together under an umbrella of shared concerns. A few weeks ago we sat side by side at a most moving event celebrating Jewish and Christian support of Israel and each other.Yet, we still live very different lives. My college friend has been married for 25 years to the love of her life, the mother of three and an eecutive in an entertainment corporation. And meanwhile her single free-lancing writer/actress friend, even after all these years still does impressions of her only in print now.Happily, others have also come along to become comrades in arms this election. They represent a diversity in lifestyle that would warm any liberal#39;s heart (although said liberal wouldn#39;t warm our hearts). There#39;s Genie the stockbroker, Cathy the casting director, Robin the mom of one of my former acting students, Sally the daughter of one of my mother#39;s old friends and many others. Their e-mail messages and calls let me know that though other friendships may wither during this election, I#39;m hardly alone. They all have a point of view that enables us to skip to shorthand. (Did you read Drudge? Yep!) All of these women make up my own personal non-elitist version of The View, The Conservative Cut.Yes, now those old children#39;s lyrics resonate with a new meaning in Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold. Regretfully, without shared values even after this tumultuous election of 20, some friendships may have turned to a tin that rings hollow in these perilous times.By the way, I recently chatted with one of those former Brownies who sang with me so long ago, She is a security mom. She is voting for George W. Bush and she will definitely be includedon my Christmas card list.分钟话题英语演讲篇四it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. this sweltering summer of the negro#39;s legitimate discontent will not pauntil there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. and those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to busineas usual. and there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.but there is something that i must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: in the proceof gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterneand hatred. we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. and they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.we cannot walk alone.and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead.we cannot turn back.there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, when will you be satisfied? we can never be satisfied as long as the negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied as long as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes he has nothing for which to vote. no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters, and righteousnelike a mighty stream.。

我的大学生活英语演讲稿范文5篇1when i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had spare time to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doing exercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines and novels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldn't play with my friends a lot, which I couldn't stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should be considered for the College Entrance Examination. However, my college life is totally different from the life in high school.I can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in the library, where I can open my eyes and broaden my mind.In my free time, I also join some clubs, where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. My teachers in college are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach us knowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. In addition, there are more opportunities for me to improve myself.I believe college life is an important stage in my life. In college, i can learn how to learn by myself, how to get on with others, how to live independently.College provides me with a stage where i can show myself and be myself.我的大学生活英语演讲稿范文5篇2Hello everyone.Today I'm glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in China Agriculture University.First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school. For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time. But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class. And then even worse there would be nobody remind meexcept my teacher! So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them. The change of life is great and it's wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has bee a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more petitions in my campus life. Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers, also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that I've got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus! 我的大学生活英语演讲稿范文5篇3Another deep impression of my university is her creativity and profundity. As is known to all, she has a wide range and prehensive style. No wonder I can enjoy the multi-ceolored life here. Every school year a diversity of petitions and aetivities are held and a large number of students take active part in them. I do appreciate such a style, and in my mind's eye,she resembles a tall tree silhouetting with all shapes of branches while stretching far into the blue sky.Undoubtedly there is a world of difference between university and high school. University students are supposed to enjoy more freedom to develop themselves. However,Fudan seems more concerned about the efficient cooperation and teamwork among students as to prepare them for the petitive society. I believe upon graduation I will be equipped with abundant skills to face more unknown challenges. After all, in my opinion, university is for more cultivated character, richer knowledge and greater abilities. That's why I chose Fudan. She provides me with what I've dreamed of.Now all kinds of successes are in sight every day, and all I have to do is endeavor for a more beautiful future..我的大学生活英语演讲稿范文5篇4How time flies! One month has passed before I could take any notice of it. This is the start of my freshman year in Fudan University. At the very beginning, everything and everyone is strange to me. But now, everyday and in everyway,I am getting better;I am getting used to it.I would like to tell you two things in my university life that are of great importance and interest.Freedom is what I am looking forward to since the very first day of my primary school. A lot of people said to me, "Study hard, and you will get freedom when in university." But when I really entered university,I find the real situation is different.Freedom costs me a lot. If I refuse to wash my clothes, for example, they will just lay there, unclean. In a word, I have to do everything and take care of myself. Well,it doesn‘t mean that I don‘t like the life style. On the contrary,I like it very much though it is hard at the beginning. It is really a challenge for me.I appreciate a famous saying from Albert Camus, "Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better." That‘s right. Real freedom es with responsibility. Some teenagers believe that freedom means doing whatever you like. But I think that is not real freedom at all. One can have his or her own freedom, while at the same time respect others‘. It is n ot easy to think on behalf of others. University life provides me with this precious chance to practice it.我的大学生活英语演讲稿范文5篇5No classical work could pervade every cubic centimeter of air with such cultural fragrance but she.No judicious sage could merge various elements as a magnificent poem but she.No green tree could consist of vivid cells arousing every heart's anxiety for being young forever but she.She is my university Fudan University. The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. Fudan is a graceful lady who is accustomed to serenity but meanwhile each action of hers outpours her innermost tern perament. Apparently it is worth every effort to probe into her world for the sake of both physical and mental enrichment. Her humanistic spirit inspires me to care for everything around, even the most trivial one.On the other hand, catching up with the times, Fudan is modern and smart. You see, the many age-old buildings here are actually great libraries and labs. Scientific and technological developrnent is easily smelt in the air, because she never lags behind the world.Fabulously, such a historical and scientific school is far morethan an operational mechanism. Her everlasting youth and vigor beam through every corner of the campus and the young in school vivify every piece of concrete and wood here. What makes me happy and strong is that it perpetuates me with unfading energy. And it is definitely beneficial for me to be granted enthusi.。

演讲稿英语1Tim Cook addresses Tulane University graduates at Commencement 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome on May 18, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Josh Brasted/Getty ImagesOn Saturday, Apple CEO Tim Cook, who was recently acclaimed asan even better leader than the legendary Steve Jobs, carved out a morning from his very busy schedule to deliver a commencement speech for the 2019 graduates of Tulane University in New Orleans.Back in February, when Tulane confirmed Cook as its commencement speaker fo r this year, the university’s president Mike Fitts toutedthat the Apple CEO, who enjoys the reputation as one of the world’s most workaholic bosses, “represents the kind of success we hope all of our graduates can attain.”But as soon as Cook stepped up to the podium on Saturday, his message to Tulane’s graduates became the very opposite of what was expected of him—instead of presenting himself as a role model for the young graduates in the audience, Cook encouraged them to challenge older generations’ s uccesses and to find their own.演讲稿英语2“In some important ways, my generation has failed you,” Cook said. “We spent too much time debating, too focused on the fight andnot enough on progress.”“You don’t need to look far to find an example of thatf ailure,” he continued, pointing to an example that no one understands better than those living in the natural disaster-dogged New Orleans: climate change.“This problem doesn’t get easier based on who wins an election. It’s about who has won life’s lotte ry and has the luxury of ignoring this issue, and who stands to lose everything. The costal communities, including some right here in Louisiana, that are already making plans to leave behind the places they’ve called home for generations and headfor highe r ground… When we talk about climate change, I challenge youto look for those who have the most to lose and find the real, true empathy that comes from something shared. When you do that, thepolitical noise dies down and you can feel your feet planted on solid ground.”演讲稿英语3Cook’s most important message actually went beyond climate change. Expanding the discussion to how young people can filter out the “political noise” and find their real goals, he encouraged them to fight against what today’s tech giants—including Apple—want them to see and regain their own perspective.“If you find yourself spending more time fighting than getting to work, stop and ask yourself, ‘Who benefits from all the chaos?'” Cook said. “There are some who would like to bel ieve that the only way you can be strong is by bulldozing those who disagree with you… We forget sometimes that our pre-exiting beliefs have their own force of gravity. Today, certain algorithms pull toward you things that you already know, believe or like. And they push away everything else. Push back! It shouldn’t be this way.”演讲稿英语4Below is Cook’s full speech from Tulane University on Saturday.Hello Tulane! Thank you President Fitts, Provost Forman, distinguished faculty, other faculty [laughs], and the entire Tulane family, including the workers, ushers, [and] volunteers who preparedthis beautiful space. And I feel duty-bound to also recognize the hard-working bartenders at The Boot. Though they're not here with us this morning, I'm sure some of you are reflecting on their contributions as well. [The Boot is a popular college bar right next to Tulane's campus which has been around for decades.]And just as many of you have New Orleans in your veins, and perhaps your livers, some of us at Apple have New Orleans in our blood as well. When I was a student at Auburn, the Big Easy was our favorite getaway. It's amazing how quickly those 363 miles fly by when you're driving toward a weekend of beignets and beer. And how slowly they go in the opposite direction. Apple's own Lisa Jackson is a proud Tulane alum. Yes. She brought the Green Wave all the way to Cupertino where she heads our environment and public policy work. We're thrilled to have hertalent and leadership on our team.OK, enough about us. Let's talk about you. At moments like this, it always humbles me to watch a community come together to teach, mentor, advise, and finally say with one voice, congratulations to the class of 2019!演讲稿英语5Now there's another very important group: your family and friends. The people who, more than anyone else, loved, supported, and even sacrificed greatly to help you reach this moment. Let's give them a round of applause. This will be my first piece of advice. You might not appreciate until much later in your life how much this moment means to them. Or how that bond of obligation, love, and duty between you matters more than anything else.In fact, that's what I really want to talk to you about today. In a world where we obsessively document our own lives, most of us don't pay nearly enough attention to what we owe one another. Now this isn't just about calling your parents more, although I'm sure they'd begrateful if you did that. It's about recognizing that human civilization began when we realized that we could do more together. That the threats and danger outside the flickering firelight got smaller when we got bigger. And that we could create more — more prosperity, more beauty, more wisdom, and a better life — when we acknowledge certain shared truths and acted collectively.。

I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.
Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joing societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.
University life is like drinking coke. I“m experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!
