Step 1. 导入。

Step 2. 自学检测：
1、翻译：

2、听1a的对话，找出并画出含有“be+v. ing”结构的句子。

总结：“am/ is/ are+V-ing” 是现在进行时的结构。

但表示短暂性动作的动词，通常情况下，用现在进行时表示将来。

英语中表示暂时性动作，常用进行时表示将来的动词有come， go， arrive，leave，start，fly，die等。

3、仔细阅读3中的句子，注意动词和时间，选择适当的答案完成句子。

4、句型操练。

仿照4中的例子，两人一组编对话，完成4 。

5、听2部分录音，选择正确答案，完成2 。

1. see sb. off为某人送行如：I’ll see you off this afternoon. 译：_________________
2. on one’s way to... 在某人去....的路上 the way to.... 去....的路上如：Can you tell me the way to Shanchuan Yuecai High School? 译：________________
3. with his thumb raised 介词短语作伴随状语
4. ask for a ride 要搭便车如：There a beautiful girl asking for a ride. Stop quickly!
5. give sb. a ride 让某人搭便车如：We gave an old woman a ride on our way home.
6.到达某地：reach (vt.)+地点如： reach Shanghai
arrive in +大地点 arrive at + 小地点 get to (口头表达) + 地点
7. be worried about.... 对....感到着急/ 担心 worry about.....对.....着急/ 担心
8. send sb. sth. = send sth. to sb. 给某人寄/ 发送某物
send sb. to+地点让某人前往某处
9. pick sb. up 意为“（开车）接人、让人乘车、搭载”。

如：
I’ll pick you up at 9:00. 译：______________________________
