老君山，原名景室山，位于河南省洛阳市栾川县城东南3千米处，是秦岭余脉八百里伏牛山脉的主峰，海拔2297米。

西周时期，因“守藏室史”李耳（著名的“老子”）到此归隐修炼，被道教尊为太上老君，唐太宗赐名为“老君山”，沿袭至今，成为道教主流全真派圣地。

老君山有两千多年道教文化历史，北魏时在山中建庙纪念，唐贞观年
间受到皇封，修建“铁顶老君庙”，明万历十九年颁赐老君山道经诏谕，封为“天下名山”。

现存庙宇中顶峰老君庙规模最大，有“南有武当金顶，北有老君铁顶”之说。

老君山景观区6处、有景点179个，太清宫、十方院、灵官殿、淋醋殿、牧羊圈、救苦殿、传经楼、观音殿、三清殿、老君庙等庙宇16处。

马鬃岭南侧有三千余亩石林景观对游人开放，被地质学者称为“北国石林”。

Laojun Mountain has a history of more than two thousand years of Taoist culture. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, a temple was built in the mountain to commemorate it. In the Zhenguan year of Tang Dynasty, it was awarded the imperial title of "Iron Top Laojun Temple". The extant temple peak Laojun Temple is the largest, there is "south Wudang golden top, north Laojun iron top" said.
Laojun Mountain landscape area 6, there are 179 scenic spots, Taiqing Palace, Shifang courtyard, Lingguan Hall, Lin Vinegar Hall, sheep circle, save bitter Hall, Bible Hall, Guanyin Hall, Sanqing Hall, Lao Jun Temple and other 16 temples. There are more than 3,000 mu of stone forest landscape open to visitors on the south side of Mamo Ridge, known as the "northern Stone Forest" by geologists.。
