剑桥雅思真题15—写作(Test 4 附高分范文)Writing Task 1You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.Write at least 150 words. The charts are an illustration of what bachelors majoring in Anthropology did and how much money they earned annually after five years of working. Most conspicuously, unlike full-time work, which was favored by slightly over half of the graduates, a mere five percent furthered postgraduate study while taking up a part-time job simultaneously. Besides, the number (8%) of people choosing to be a full-time postgraduate was exactly the same as that of those who did not reveal their destination. Lastly, roughly 12 to 15individuals out of every 100 ones were jobless or working part-time.Regarding the salaries of bachelors entering the workforce, a resemblance stands out between Freelance consultants and Government sector. Specifically, people obtaining less than 75,000 dollars made up only a minority of the whole demographic (20%) while those getting paid above $75,000, a quite handsome level, held a lion’s share (80%). By stark contrast, moving to their counterparts enrolling in private enterprises, a mere one tenth got less than 50,000 dollars, and the proportions of the remaining three salary levels were quite balanced, approximating to roughly one third.Overall, most graduates choose to be employed, be it full-time or part-time, and people going freelance and entering the municipal domain general receive a fatter salary than do their counterparts in private companies.Writing Task 2You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Write about the following topic:Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.Write at least 250 words. Convincing children that hard work makes everything possible is popular in some nations. This message can be advantageous to children as it motivates them and encourages them to chase their dreams. However, it can cause some negative consequences. On the one hand, this message is beneficial to the young generation in many ways. Children usually have a lot of dreams since they are at the beginning of their lives and they think everything is possible. When adults encourage them to pursue their passions and believe in them, it pushes them to become the best version of themselves through working hard and staying positive. Another benefit is that it keeps children encouraged even when they fail. In other words, when children grow into adults and start chasing their dreams, they will surely encounter hardships. If they were taught that persistence and hard work will get them through, they will not give up and will stay motivated. On the other hand, children who believe this message may encounter some problems. Firstly, due to believing everything is possible, they may set unrealistic goals for themselves and think they can achieve them. For instance, they may think they can become millionaires at the age of fifteen and when they reach that age, they become frustrated that they did not get what they wanted. Secondly, children may push themselves to their limits and work too hard which affects them negatively. This can be exemplified by children who study all the time because they want to be top students and suffer from mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and isolation. To conclude, although it is beneficial to tell children that working hard towards a goal always yields positive results, it can cause them issues such as frustration and burnout.。

The English Level 4 Exam is a critical milestone for many students in China who are pursuing higher education or seeking employment opportunities that require advanced English proficiency. The exam tests a wide range of skills including reading comprehension, writing, listening, and translation, all of which are essential for effective communication and academic success in an increasingly globalized world. As a student preparing for this important exam, I have dedicated significant time and effort to honing my English abilities and familiarizing myself with the exam format and content. One of the key components of the English Level 4 Exam is the writing section, which requires candidates to compose a well-structured and coherent essay on a given topic. This task tests not only the students' command of the English language but also their critical thinking and analytical skills. The prompts for the essay can cover a diverse range of subjects, from social issues and cultural trends to academic and professional topics. Regardless of the specific theme, the successful completion of this section demands a thorough understanding of the subject matter, the ability to organize and present ideas logically, and the skill to express oneself clearly and effectively in written English. In preparing for the writing portion of the exam, I have engaged in extensive practice and self-reflection. I have studied various essay structures and writing techniques, such as the use of topic sentences, supporting evidence, and transitions, to ensure that my essays are well-organized and cohesive. Additionally, I have familiarized myself with common essay prompts and have practiced responding to them in a clear and concise manner, while also incorporating relevant examples and arguments to support my positions. One of the key strategies I have employed in my essay preparation is to carefully analyze the prompt and ensure that I fully understand the question or topic being addressed. This involves carefully reading and dissecting the prompt, identifying the key issues or themes, and then formulating a clear and focused thesis statement that serves as the foundation for the essay. By taking the time to thoroughly understand the prompt, I am able to avoid straying off-topic or producing a disjointed and unfocused essay.Another important aspect of my preparation has been the development of a strong vocabulary and command of English grammar. Effective essay writing requires the use of precise and sophisticated language, as well as the ability to construct complexsentences and paragraphs. To this end, I have engaged in extensive vocabulary building exercises, including the study of academic and technical terms, as well as the practice of identifying and correcting common grammatical errors. In addition to the writing section, the English Level 4 Exam also includes a reading comprehension component, which tests the candidates' ability to understand and analyze written texts on a variety of subjects. This section requires students to demonstrate their ability to identify the main ideas, understand the author's purpose and perspective, and draw logical inferences from the given passages. To prepare for this aspect of the exam, I have read extensively across a range of genres, from academic articles and research papers to literary works and news reports. By exposing myself to a diverse range of texts, I have developed a better understanding of different writing styles, rhetorical techniques, and the nuances of the English language. The listening section of the exam is another crucial component that requires careful preparation. This section tests the candidates' ability to comprehend spoken English in various contexts, such as lectures, conversations, and presentations. To improve my listening skills, I have made a concerted effort to immerse myself in English-language media, including podcasts, news broadcasts, and academic lectures. I have also practiced active listening techniques, such as note-takingand identifying key information, to enhance my comprehension and retention of the spoken material. Finally, the translation section of the English Level 4 Exam assesses the candidates' ability to accurately and effectively translate written passages from Chinese to English and vice versa. This component requires a deep understanding of both languages, as well as the ability to convey the intended meaning and tone of the original text. To prepare for this section, I have engaged in extensive practice translating a variety of texts, ranging from news articles and academic papers to literary works and business documents. I have also studied the common translation strategies and techniques, such as the use of idiomatic expressions, cultural references, and contextual clues, to ensure that my translations are both linguistically accurate and culturally appropriate.Throughout my preparation for the English Level 4 Exam, I have been mindful of the importance of maintaining a balanced and holistic approach. While each section of the exam requires specialized skills and knowledge, I have recognized the interconnectedness of these different components and have worked to develop a comprehensive understanding of the English language and its various applications. By combining targeted practice in each exam area with a broader focus on improving my overall English proficiency, I have been able to build a strong foundation for success on the exam.As I continue to prepare for the English Level 4 Exam, I am acutely aware of the significant challenges and demands that lie ahead. The exam is known for its rigor and complexity, and the competition among candidates is often fierce. However, I am confident that my dedication, hard work, and strategic approach to preparation will enable me to achieve my goals and excel on this important assessment. By mastering the English language and demonstrating my proficiency through the successful completion of the English Level 4 Exam, I will not only open up new opportunities for my future but also contribute to the broader goal of enhancing cross-cultural understanding and communication in our increasingly interconnected world.。

Test 1 Writing Task 1The two maps show the same island while the first one is before and the second one is after the construction for tourism.Looking first at the one before construction, we can see a huge island with a beach in the west. The total length of the island is approximately 250 meters.Moving on to the second map, we can see that there are lots of buildings. There are two areas of accommodation. One is in the west near the beach while the other one is in the center of the island. Between them, there is a restaurant in the north and a central reception block, which is surrounded by a vehicle track. This track also goes down to the pier where people can go sailing in the south sea of the island. Furthermore, tourists can swim near the beach in the west. A footpath connecting the western accommodation units also leads to the beach.Overall, comparing the two maps, there are significant changes after this development. Not only lots of facilities are built on the island, but also the sea is used for activities. The new island has become a good place for tourism.Test 2 Writing Task 1The chart shows the time spent by UK residents on different types of telephone calls between 1995 and 2002.Local fixed line calls were the highest throughout the period, rising from 72 billion minutes in 1995 to just under 90 billion in 1998. After peaking at 90 billion the following year, these calls had fallen back to the 1995 figure by 2002.National and international fixed line calls grew steadily from 38 billion to 61 billion at the end of the period in question, though the growth slowed over the last two years. There was a dramatic increase in mobile calls from 2 billion to 46 billion minutes. This rise was particularly noticeable between 1999 and 2002, during which time the use of mobile phones tripled. To sum up, although local fixed line calls were still the most popular in 2002, the gap between the three categories had narrowed considerably over the second half of the period in question.Test 3 Writing Task 1The diagrams show statistic information regarding the ages of the habitats of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and also an estimative for 2050.We can see that in 2000 the majority of people in Yemen was between 0 and 14 years old, with 50.1%, whereas in Italy most of the population was between 15 and 59 years old(61.1%, in the same year. On the other hand, just 3.6% of the people in the former country was 60 years old or more in 2000, while in the latter country this figure is represented with 24.1%.The projections for 2050 show that the number of people with 15-59 years and 60 years or more will increase in Yemen, reaching 57.3% and 5.7% respectively. In contrast, in Italy the population with 15-59 years will decrease to 46.2%, while people with 60 years or more will grow to 42.3%.Overall, it is possible to see that there is an upward tread on the rates people with 60 years or more in both countries.Test 4 Writing Task 1The graph shows energy consumption in the US from 1980 to 2012, and projected consumption in 2030.Petrol and oil are the dominant fuel sources throughout this period, with 35 quadrillion units used in 1980, rising to 42q in 2012. Despite some initial fluctuation, from 1995 there was a steady increase. This is expected to continue, reaching 47q in 2030.Consumption of energy derived from natural gas and coal is similar over the period. From 20q and 15q respectively in 1980, gas showed an initial fall and coal a gradual increase, with the two fuels equal between 1985 and 1990. Consumption has fluctuated since 1990, but both now provide 24q. Coal is predicted to increase steadily to 31q in 2030, whereas after 2014, gas will remain stable at 25q.In 1980, energy from nuclear, hydro-and solar/wind power was equal at only 4q. Nuclear has risen by 3q, and solar/wind by 2. After slight increase, hydro power has fallen back to the 1980 figure. It is expected to maintain this level until 2030, while the others should rise slightly after 2025.Overall, the US will continue to rely on fossil fuels, with sustainable and nuclear energy sources remaining relatively insignificant.Test 1 Task 2Some experts believe it is better f or children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?Traditionally, children to study foreign languages at secondary school, but introducing them earlier is recommended by some educationalists. This policy has been adopted some educational authorities or individual schools with both positive and negative outcomes. The obvious argument in its favor is that young children pick up languages much more easily than teenagers. Their brains are still programmed to acquire their mother tongue, which facilities learning another language, and unlike adolescents, they are not inhibited by self-consciousness.The greater flexibility of the primary timetable allows for more frequent, shorter sessions and for a play-centered approach, thus maintaining learners’ enthusiasm and progress. Their command of the language in later life will benefit from this early exposure, while learning other languages subsequently will be easier for them. They may also gain a better understanding of other cultures. There are, however, some disadvantages. Primary school teachers are generalists, and may not have thenecessary language skills themselves. If specialists have to be brought in to deliver these sessions, the flexibility referred to above is diminished. If primary language teaching is not standardized, secondary schools could be faced with a great variety of levels in different languages within their intake, resulting in a classroom experience which undoes the earlier gains. There is no advantage if enthusiastic primary pupils become demotivated as soon as they change schools. However, these issues can be addressed strategically within the policy adopted.Anything which encourages language learning benefits society culturally and economically, and early exposure to language learning contributes to this. Young children’s innate abilities should be harnessed to make these benefits more achievable.Test 2 Task 2Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school program ( for example workingfor a charity, improving the neigbiurhood or teaching sports to younger children). To what extent do you agree ordisagree? It has been suggested that high school students should be involved in unpaid community service as a compulsory part of high school programs. Most of the colleges are already providing opportunities to gain work experience, however there are not compulsory. In my opinion, sending students to work in community service is a good idea as it can provide them with many lots of valuable skills.Life skills are very important and by doing voluntary work, students can learn how to communicate with others and work in a team but also how to manage their time and improve their organizational skills. Nowadays, unfortunately, teenagers do not have many after-school activities. After-school clubs are no longer that popular and students mostly go and sit in front of the TV, browse internet or play video games.By giving them compulsory work activities with charitable or community organizations, they will be encouraged to do something more creative. Skills gained through compulsory work will not only be an asset on their CV but also increase their employability. Students will also gain more respect towards work and money as they will realize that it is not that easy to earn them and hopefully will learn to spend them in a more practical way.Healthy life balance and exercise are strongly promoted by the NHS, and therefore any kind of spare time charity work will prevent from sitting and doing nothing. It could also possibly reduce the crime level in high school age group. If students have activities to do, they will not be bored and come up with silly ideas which can be dangerous for them or their surroundings. In conclusion, I think this is a very good idea,a and I hope this program will be put into action for high schools/colleges shortly.Test 3 Task 2Some people say taht the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say this would have little effect onpublic health and other measures arereqired.Discuss both these views and give your opinion.A problem of modern society is the declining level of health in the general population, with conflicting views on how to tackle this worrying tread. One possible solution is to provide more sports facilities to encourage a more active lifestyle.Advocates of this believe that today’s sedentary lifestyle and stressful working conditions mean that physical activity is no longer part of either our work or our leisure time. If there were easy-to reach local sports centers, we would be more likely to make exercise a regular part of our lives, rather than just collapsing in front of a screen every evening. The variety of sports that could be offered would cater for all ages, levels of fitness and interests: those with painful memories of PE at school might be happier in the swimming pool than on thefootball pitch. However, there may be better ways of tackling this problem. Interest in sport is not universal, and additional facilities might simply attract the already fit, not those who most need them. Physical activity could be encouraged relatively cheaply, for example, by installing exercise equipment in parks, as my local council has done. This has the added benefit that parents and children often use them together just for fun, which develops a positive attitude to exercise at an early age.As well as physical activity, high tax penalties could be imposed on high-fat food products, tobacco and alcohol, a excessive consumption of any of these contributes to poor health. Even improving public transport would help: it takes longer to walk to the bus stop than to the car.In my opinion, focusing on sports facilities is too narrow an approach and would not have desired results. People should be encouraged not only to be more physically active but also to adopt a healthier lifestyle in general.。

(2015.4.11)SAMPLE:word count:262It is true that a growing number of young adults are faced with increasing competition from the elderly in the workplace. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, we can take steps to mitigate these potential problems. Some related problems can be anticipated. The main issue is that more young employees are likely to suffer unemployment. This is because young employees are relatively restricted in terms of work experience and communication skills, compared with those experienced workers. Therefore, employers prefer to recruit older people with higher working efficiency rather than those who just graduate from the university. In addition, without a decent job and salary, it is extremely difficult for young people to make a living and raise their families, and this poses a threat to social stability since some of them might commit a crime to make a fast buck.Personally, I feel that governments and academic institutions should work hand in hand to tackle this issue. Most elders of retirement age, especially those living in industrialized countriesreceive a pension monthly, so there is no need for them to seek a job. In other words, the government should allocate more money to pension system, which can basically guarantee the basic needs of most elders. Besides that, education system should update the curriculum used currently and design more career-oriented courses for job hunters. By doing this, young people can become more competitive in the job market. In conclusion, I am in the camp that more steps can be taken to improve the wellbeing of the two generations.

Nowadays, there are lots of advertisements on television or on the streets. Some people think that the advertising boosts the sales of goods and it encourages people to buy things unnecessarily. This arguments may be true. In my country, many advertising companies produce advertisements with famous and popular actors or singers. People, especially youngsters, buy goods that their favourite singer advertise, although they do not really need the products. Also, on the television screen, a product may look gorgeous and good quality. As a result of it, people often buy goods without enough consideration. Consumers may not actually need it but they buy goods impulsively soon after they watch the advertising. Furthermore, as many customers buy a particular product due to its advertising campaign, the other people may be affected by the trend, even if the product is not of the real needs of the society. On the other hand, there are various aspects against these arguments. Moreover, it is people’s choice to make a decision to buy goods. Advertising may be not a cause of customers’ buying habits. Individuals have their own spending habits. If they have got enough disposable income, then the right to make a decision is given to them. No one actually can judge whether the goods sold are the real needs of the society or not.In addition, as there should be a limited amount of disposable income consumers are able to spend, people try to allocate their budgets. They cannot be simply swayed by those advertisements. In conclusion, as customers have their own strong opinionsand standard of good quality goods, it is better to leave them to make their own decision in buy goods. It is fairly difficult to say everyone is swayed by advertising and buy good impulsively. However, in advertising to those children as children have not got enough ability to control themselves or to know what they need.

Urbanization has brought about a host of challenges, ranging from traffic congestion and air pollution to a lack of affordable housing and green spaces. While these issues are undoubtedly complex, there are a number of innovative and sustainable solutions that can be implemented to mitigate their impact and improve urban living. One of the most pressing challenges facing cities is the issue of traffic congestion. With more people living and working in urban areas, the number of vehicles on the road has increased exponentially, leading to longer commute times, increased emissions, and a decline in air quality. To address this problem, cities can implement a variety of measures, such as investing in public transportation, promoting carpooling and ride-sharing, and creating dedicated bike lanes and pedestrian walkways.

The Impact of Social Media。

With the rapid development of technology, social media has become an integral part of our daily lives. It has brought about significant changes in the way we communicate, interact, and share information. However, the impact of social media is a double-edged sword, with both positiveand negative effects. On the positive side, social media has greatly improved communication and connectivity. It allows people to stay connected with friends and family, regardless of distance. It has also provided a platform for people to express their opinions, share their experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals. Furthermore, social media has become a powerful tool for businesses and organizations to reach out to their target audience and promote their products andservices. Moreover, social media has played a crucial role in raising awareness about important social and political issues. It has given a voice to the voiceless and has been instrumental in mobilizing people for various causes. In addition, social media has made it easier for people to access information and stay updated on current events. However, the negative effects of social media cannot be ignored. One of the most significant drawbacks is the impact it has on mental health. The constant exposure to curated and often unrealistic representations of people's lives has led to increased feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem among users. Furthermore, the addictive nature of social media has been linked to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.Another major concern is the spread of misinformation and fake news through social media. The lack of fact-checking and the ease of sharing content has made it difficult to distinguish between what is true and what isfalse. This has had serious implications on public discourse and has contributed to the polarization of society. In addition, the overuse of social media has led to a decline in face-to-face interactions and has affected the quality of personal relationships. People are more focused on their online personas and often neglect the importance of real-life connections. In conclusion, while social media has revolutionized the way we communicate and interact, it is important to be aware of its potential impact on our mental health, relationships, and society as a whole. It is crucial to use social media responsibly and critically evaluate the information we consume. Only then can we harness its positive potential while mitigating its negative effects.。
