3M Scotchcast Electrical Resin 262 产品介绍说明书

002623M™ Scotchcast™ Electrical Resin 262 One-Part, Class B, General PurposeEpoxy Powder ResinProduct Description3M™ Scotchcast™ Electrical Resin 262 is a widely used, well-known general purpose epoxy powder resin. A one-part, red pigmented, rapid heat-curing product, it is designed to provide a continuous, tough moisture and chemical resistant dielectric coating to a variety of substrates.• Fast curing• Excellent electrical properties• Excellent thermal shock and impact resistance• Excellent heat, chemical and moisture resistance• Good cut-through resistance• Excellent flow Scotchcast Electrical resin 262 is manufactured by a fusion blend process, insuring that each individual particle of powder contains all the components necessary to effect a complete cure and attain stated performance properties.Scotchcast electrical resin 262 is applied to an object that has been heated to a temperature above the melting point of the resin. On contact with the preheated application surface, the resin melts, flows to a controlled extent, then cures, bonding to the substrate and coalescing into a smooth, continuous, essentially uniform, thick coating. It effectively coats flat surfaces and corners, as well as, high points. Uses for Scotchcast 262 include moisture proofing and insulating armatures, stators, buss bars and toroid cores.Scotchcast™ Electrical Resin 262 – Typical PropertiesColor RedSpecific Gravity1 (cured) 1.34Dielectric Strength3 12 to 15 mil coating1000 v/milThermal Shock2 10 cycles-75°C to 155°C12 -15 mil coating 1/8’’ sandblasted steel PassesImpact Resistance212-15 mil coating 1/8’’ sandblasted steel panel Gardner 5/8’’ RadiusImpact Tester100 inch-lbsCut-Through Resistance2 – 1lb wt: 1/8 AWG wire130°C (266° F)Edge Coverage2 12-15 mil coating on flat38-48%Gel time2 @ 193°C hot plate12-16 seconds*Not recommended for specification purposes. The powder can be readily applied by spraying techniques as well as through the use of fluid bed dipping of preheated parts. Automated and manual types of application equipment are both available. Equipment manufacturers’ names can be suggested upon request.CuringThe cure of Scotchcast 262 to a thermoset condition involves a time-temperature relationship. The retained heat in application units having high heat capacity is sufficient in many casesto effect a cure of the resin without the need for post-curing facilities. For example, if an application surface can retain a temperature of 204° C (400° F) for 60 seconds after coating, it will be fully cured. Small articles, or those with a large surface-to-mass ratio, lose heat rapidly and may require a higher preheat temperature and/or additional oven- curing. The figures below represent nominal guidelines for obtaining the resin’s adhesion, impact and chemical resistance characteristics.149° C (300° F)40 minutes177° C (350° F)20 minutes204° C (400° F)60 seconds232° C (450° F)30 secondsThe user must determine the time required for the coated substrate to reach listed temperatures.Preheat Temperature RangePrior to applying Scotchcast electrical resin 262, the part must be preheated to a temperature ranging from 150° C (302° F) to 260° C (500° F). The optimum preheat temperature depends upon the size, heat capacity and configuration of the object to be coated, as well as the method of application. The ideal coating temperature will vary for each application and is best determined by experimentation.StorageLaboratory evaluation indicates that the usable shelf life of the product is twenty four (24) months from the date of manufacture when stored at temperatures not exceeding 27° C (80° F), providing the material is stored in its original container. Care should be taken when removing the resin from the original container to prevent inclusion of foreign material. After the resin removal, the bag should be retied immediately. This will help to avoid agglomeration caused by excess moisture. For best results, store in a cool, dry place.00262。

3M胶⽔规格说明书TDS3M ? Scotch-Weld ? Structural AdhesivesLoad-bearing formulations for metals, rubber, glass and more.As an alternative to mechanical or fusion fastening, the reasons for Scotch-Weld Adhesives are many: greater design latitude, cleaner lines, material sub-stitution, less machining, lighter weight, more dura-bility, and often less cost.To meet application and end-use requirements you can select from one-part heat-curing epoxies, and two-part room-temperature curing epoxies, acrylics and urethanes. There are formulations for bonding steel, aluminum, copper, low surface energy plas-tics, rubber, glass, wood, masonry and more.Whatever properties you need–durable adhesion, flexibility, creep resistance, heat and environmental resistance, void-filling —you’ll likely find a Scotch-Weld product to meet your requirements and expectations.3M has long been recognized as a pioneer in struc -tural strength adhesives. But to meet end use perfor -mance requirements doesn’t just mean providing the right chemical formula. Which is why 3M also develops dispensing systems to facilitate production in low and high volume assembly.

The duo-pak cartridges are supplied in 50 ml, 200 ml and 400 ml configurations. To use the EPX cartridge system simply insert the duo-pak cartridge into the EPX applicator. Next, remove the duo-pak cartridge cap and expel a small amount of adhesive to be sure both sides of the duo-pak cartridge are flowing evenly and freely. If simultaneous mixing of Part A and Part B is desired, attach the EPX mixing nozzle to the duo-pak cartridge and begin dispensing the adhesive. When mixing Part A and Part B manually the components must be mixed in the ratio indicated in the typical uncured properties section of this data sheet. Complete mixing of the two components is required to obtain optimum properties.Two-part mixing/proportioning/dispensing equipment is available for intermittent or production line use. These systems are ideal for line uses because of their variable shot size and flow rate characteristics and are adaptable to most applications.Apply adhesive to clean, dry surfaces, joint parts and secure until adhesive sets (see rate of strength build up).Surface Preparation The following surface preparations were used for substrates described in this TechnicalData Sheet.A.Aluminum EtchOptimized FPL Etch - 3M (test method C-2803)1.Alkaline degrease – Oakite 164 solution (9-11 oz./gallon water) at 190°F ±10°F (88°C ± 5°C) for 10-20 minutes. 3M Scotch-Weld 结构胶合剂 3 使用指南和故障排除说明书

Instructions for Dispensing and Troubleshooting3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural AdhesivesGeneral Instructions for Use of 3M™ EPX™ ApplicatorsAlmost invariably, the cause of incomplete curing of a structural adhesive is highly off-ratio dispensing. The following steps should be practiced minimizing occurrence of this off-ratio dispensing. To ensure proper mix ratio with 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Duo-Pak adhesives and 3M™ EPX™ applicators, the following steps are recommended:1)Store cartridges cap end up and feet end down —do not leave them lying on their sides. This will allowany air bubbles to work up to the tip of the cartridge.2)Remove and discard cap from cartridge.3)Place cartridge in applicator and begin dispensing; visually ensure that adhesive is flowing from bothsides of the cartridge. This will remove any air bubbles that may be present in the cartridge, and also equalize the pistons if they were not precisely level.4)Once material is flowing from both sides of the cartridge, attach mix nozzle.5)Dispense and discard approximately one mL of adhesive.6)Begin applying adhesive to part to be bonded. When done using adhesive, do not remove nozzle. Store material with the nozzle attached. When ready to use more adhesive, remove and discard nozzle with gelled adhesive and begin following steps above with step 3.If the exit orifice of the mix nozzle is larger than desired for dispensing, Luer lock adapters and a large variety of dispensing needle tips can be purchased from sources such as Ashby Cross or Nordson EFD.NOTE: Use of a dispensing tip can provide significant additional backpressure and, in some cases, lead to off-ratio dispensing. Validate all tips by comparing to material dispensed without a tip.Additional NotesMix nozzles are designed to work with adhesive at room temperature. Adhesive that is very cold (below60°F/15°C) may be hard to dispense. Adhesive that is very warm (above 90°F/32°C) may flow very easily. Care should be taken to visually ensure that material exiting the mix nozzle is uniform in color (no streaks). To dispense material more rapidly, mix nozzles may have the tips cut back, or adhesive may be gently warmed (to as high as 120°F/50°C) using an oven, warming pad or lamp. DO NOT place adhesive cartridges in a microwave oven.If the adhesive is difficult to dispense, remove and replace mix nozzle. DO NOT try to force gelled material through the mix nozzle, or the cartridge and/or applicator may become damaged.Instructions for Dispensing and Troubleshooting 3M™ Scotch -Weld™ Structural AdhesivesPage 2 of 2 Mix nozzles are intended for one-time use. DO NOT attempt to flush a mix nozzle with solvent and reuse it later.Do not attempt to express material with a pneumatic applicator at pressures higher than recommended (50 PSI for the 45 and 50mL dispensers; 58 PSI for 200 mL dispenser, 70 PSI for 400 and 490mL dispensers) or cartridge damage may occur.Storing the used cartridges tip up will encourage any entrapped air bubbles to float to the tip of the cartridge, where they can be expelled prior to attaching a nozzle.T echnical Information The technical information, guidance, and other statements contained in this document or otherwise provided by 3M are based upon records, tests, or experience that 3M believes to be reliable, but the accuracy, completeness, and representative nature of such information is not guaranteed.
