My Experience in the Ivory Tower

The university has always been a sacred place in my mind. In other words, it is my dream to enter the university. However, at that time, it was something that far from myself. But after so many years hard working, I made it.

I was both excited and delighted on the first day I went into Shenyang University. Although the school was crowded with students and parents, every one wore a bright smile. After some simple entrance formalities, I went to my new dormitory, and met my new roommates. There were 8 people in our room, little crowded but warm from the bottom of my heart. There was a strong belief in my heart that I would enjoy my college life with my roommates. It was a September that we started the new semester, when the trees were green. With the special autumn wind, there were many communities under the trees, inviting us to join them. Everywhere was busy and lively, which made me feel fresh and colorful.

Lessons in the college are something that I am always looking forward to. Because I will have varied classrooms to study in and different classmates to study with. This is where of the greatest difference. When I was in the senior high school, my teachers told us that teachers in the university were not responsible, and wouldn’t solve our problems after class. However, that is not the fact. On the contrary, every teacher is

trying his best to teach us well. What makes the difference is that the students become naughty. They talk to each other and play games on mobile phones, and seldom of them will listen to the class carefully, which makes teachers feel helpless. What’s more, teachers will help students solve the problems whenever they hand up. However, it seems that there are only a few students have problems. I have to admit that I am not hard-working enough. Before I entered the college, I had thought that I would study hard. But everything depended on if. I am so guilty that time flies, but I do too little. I come to realize that there is no time for me to waste, and I will value every class in the future.

In the July,2014, I experienced the military training. It was too tired for me. One the one hand, the training is so hard, and on the other hand, the weather is extremely hot. The 15 days training taught me a lot, such as strong will and the attitude to hold on. It was the last time for me to do the military training, so I valued it so much. Though it was really a tired process, I enjoyed myself during the training time. As far as I am concerned, it was something that I couldn’t learn at class. Everyone is tired but still hard-working. We tried our best to won the prize for our class, at last we made it. Everyone was happy and acquired a lot. It was the biggest acquirement in my first year of the college.

In my opinion, students should have much free time to arrange by ourselves, but when we were freshman, things seemed different. We
