Dear Kate,

How is everything going recently? We students intend to go to the Children Welfare Institute on the Children’s Day aiming to know more about the children there. As a monitor , on behalf of my classmates , I am writing to formally invite you to come with us.

Here is a brief schedule .First , we will leave school by bus at 7:00 am and return at 5:00 pm. After lunch , there will be many well-designed activities , such as presenting gifts , giving performances , playing games with them , and so on , which are bound to be not only significant but also interesting.

I am obliged to you if you could join us and I have the confidence that you will have a joyful/jolly and unforgettable day then . Please keep me informed of your decision if it’s convenient for you .

Words fail to convey my sorry and regret for my using the mobile phone in your spoken English class last week . Please accept my heart-felt apology for being so rude a student.

I know any word might sound a made-up excuse .But I did not use the phone for no reason. I was seeking a part-time job last weekend. I got a job offer and they needed my further information immediately . Hence , I had no other option but to try to send them a text message in class , which was exactly what I was doing when you discovered.

Anyway , using a mobile phone in the classroom is prohibited and unacceptable to any teacher. I swear it will not happen again. But I do need my phone back to keep in touch with others.
