Trees are important living things
Trees are the biggest and oldest living things on the Earth. They can make streets more beautiful and less noisy. They also take harmful gases from the air and release oxygen back into the air. And they provide food and shelter for humans! So trees are our good friends. But they are in great danger now. We should plant more trees to protect our best fighters against pollution.
Water Is Life
Water is important to our life because we will die without water. Nowadays peop le use water in many different ways, such as drinking water, brushing our teeth and washing our face. We must protect water from being polluted. So we should use less water and not to waste water. Water is precious, like liquid gold. It is not easy for water to get around us.
Rules around us
There are a lot of rules in our lives , such as the school rules and the traffic rules. For example , when we are at school ,we should wear school uniforms and hand in our homework on time. We shouldn’t be late for sc hool. When we are in the library, we shouldn’t talk loudly.
In my opinion, rules are very important to us. If we don’t obey the rules, we may get into trouble, even die. So everyone should follow the rules and they can make our lives more enjoyable.
Electricity
Electricity is a good servant .It is very important in our daily life. Although it is invisible, we can use it to do many different things .At home ,we use it for the lights ,TVs ,air conditioners and so on. Also ,in factories, electricity makes the large machines work .However, electricity is also a dangerous servant .When we use it, we must be careful. Then it will give us a more colourful life.
How to make our world more beautiful
Protecting the environment is becoming more and more important to humans. I think it’s our duty to take care of the nature around us. Animal and plants are our best friends, and we should share the world with them. So we must protect them. For example, we shouldn’t kill wild animals. We must protect forests because they ar e animals’ home. We should plant more trees and grass because they can make the world greener. The more beautiful the world is, the happier lives we will have. Let’s do our best to make the world beautiful.
Our class newspaper
Good news for you now. Our class newspaper will be printed（印刷）and given out （发表）next month. The name of the newspaper is “Mayfield Star”. Nancy was elected to be the chief editor of the newspaper. We write things about ourselves for the newspaper. The newspaper is printed once a month. I think it’s an interestin g thing to read Mayfield Star in our free time.

Everyone has his own unforgettable experiences. Last term l took part in an English contest. Although l was good at English, l still tried my best to go over it. Luckily, l got the first prize in my grade. When l heard this news, l was so excited that l couldn’t believe my ears. And my English teacher praised me for it. That was the most unforgettable experience in my life because l achieved success by working hard. In a word, “Nothing is impossible !” lf you work hard, will be successful in the future.
How to escape from a fire
If a fire breaks out suddenly, there are some fire rules for us to follow. First of all ,we should stay clam. We can’t be so nervous that we will do something terrible. Second , we should try to find the water as we can, and make our clothes or towels wet. Then we can use the wet clothes to cover our mouths and noses to help keep off（挡住）the smoke. We can’t jump out of the windows because it’s too dangerous. Finally, we should find the Safety Exit to escape from. If not, we should stay in the place and wait for rescue.。
