Introduction
National anthem sometimes is called national hymn or song which is not very formal. It is a generally patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions and struggles of its people, recognized either by a nation's government as the official national song, or by convention through use by the people. Here we uses"anthem" to show the religious sanctity and piety. So it is easy to understand that national anthem should be the foremost and the most direct way of expressing patriotic sentiment. At the same time, national anthem is the highest political position musical art (at least in theory, the highest status). Today’s world, the national anthem after being identified or changed for any reason, often with the national flag, national emblem, is written into the supreme law of the country in order to recognize and protect its lofty status and the rights of using. The national anthem, as a social symbol, can map the dignity and image of the regime, and also participate in shaping the national spirit and national will. Many national anthems are written with the nation and the region's material or features; and also may carry traces of other nations and regions. Its lyric is created in accordance with the specific historical and current status, so it can reflect many cultural and historical origins of the nation or the region.
It is known that the most popular national anthem is The Marseillaise (of French),then The Star-Spangled Banner(of the United States) and March of the Volunteers (of China), the Germany’s is a dignified one, and the Japan’s is full of profound culture.Every national anthem has its history and story, and every one has its supporter and reasons for being respected. The song God Save the Queen, as the national anthem of the UK, has a strong sense of religious sanctity and piety. It became a popular song since its first performance, even though the origin of both the words and the music is unknown. And its role as the anthem of the UK is not claimed in the law, but accepted by the people for tradition. Although there are some other anthems in the UK, but people sing this song in an international occasion, and people almost sing it as doing a natural thing, not like the people in Japan where there are
some one was fined because of not singing their national anthem. And also, when people of Britain sing their national anthem you can feel the high patriotic tension, as the Chinese sing March of the Volunteers. English people and American people both speak English and their national anthem is used in the same language, but their political system and citizen is different and so does the content of their national anthem. Sometimes several countries may have the same anthem and a country may have several anthems.
