一、单元学习主题
本课主题属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“良好的人际关系与人际交往”。

二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A与Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Decision making”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。

本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,讲述了Jeff和Ben如何为聚会做准备;第二个语篇通过讲述Laura的故事,探讨青少年如何解决生活中的问题,并给出了相关专家的建议。

升上初中一年多后,已经熟悉本教材的学习任务,有较明确的英语学习动机和积极主动的学习态度。

能听懂教师有关熟悉话题的陈述并参与讨论。

能就日常生活的各种话题与他人交换信息并陈述自己的意见。

能读懂供8年级学生阅读的简单读物和报刊、杂志,克服生词障碍,理解大意。

能根据阅读目的运用适当的阅读策略。

能根据提示起草和修改小作文。

能与他人合作,解决问题并报告结果,共同完成学习任务。

2)青少年的求知欲望强烈,新知识和新方法对他们有很强的吸引力。

但他们的注意力集中的时间比较短,对不易理解的问题会产生畏难情绪。

因此在课程设计时要注意起点低,步子小,环节多,节奏快;不断激发他们新的兴奋点。

2. 教材分析和整合1)本节课为八年级上Unit 10 I’m going to be a basketball player的第一节新授课。

教材要求学生掌握与职业有关的新词汇以及一般将来时be going to 的用法2)七年级(下)第四单元的教学内容是用I want to be a…的结构谈论职业,故本单元是在内容和语法上的拓展和深入。

3)本课为Section A的第一课时,教材给学生提供了三个使用目标语言的句子:What are you going to be? How are you going to do that? 以及Where are you going to do it?将三个问题结合起来,就是一个对于未来职业比较全面的描述。

学生对于能够表达实际愿望的话题有很高的热情,因此,我将2a和2b的听力练习整合为口语练习,为学生提供更多的表达机会。

并将3a处理为略读材料,为最后的survey和report提供模板。

五、学情分析学生已经在Unit 3 What are you doing for vacation中学会了使用现在进行时表示计划即将着手去做的事(一定要发生的事),对本单元的教学有所铺垫。

本单元主要讲授使用be going to +do结构来表述将来的计划或打算(可能会发生、也可能不会发生的事)。

设计反思:1、这节课是在本单元自学完以后进行的,不存在词汇、句型、语法知识的新授问题,重点在于英语知识的运用,交际能力的提高。

在任务设计时,我是做的新授型,还是复习型教学设计?没有进行考虑。

2、根据教学需要,对内容进行整合、扩展,应用多媒体,运用情景教学、话题交流、小组竞争、小组合作、采访调查等任务活动设计教学任务,感觉较满意。

但考虑教学环节,设计各环节的衔接过渡,制作、美化课件,搜图片等,长达好几天,费心思、费时间太多。

如果按课本上的设计思路授课,要轻松的多。

3、想“听说读写”四种技能的培养都照顾全,在本课中只侧重了“听说”和“写”。

在课后作业中,应安排一两篇有关理想的阅读链接,但没有及时搜材料。

4、问卷调查活动为使课堂活动灵活多样而设计,其问题难度大,是否重复?是否在“表演”浪费时间,出现冷场?6、鼓励学生写有真情实感、敢于发表自己见解的文章,但新年计划的操作难度考虑不够充分。

教后反思:这一教学设计是一节公开课,借助多媒体上课,比较顺利。

1、教学导入环节,包括唱歌、陈述小组竞争机制、悬念和趣味相结合的猜谜导入,授课用时5-6分钟。

2、把单元重点设计为悬念和趣味相结合的猜谜,配以简单动作,利于学生记忆知识,激发学习兴趣和活跃课堂气氛。

自认为要比上课前唱首英语歌单为活跃气氛要好。

3、任务设计时,应考虑学生的生活经历和英语语言表达水平,不然学生“有话说不出来”,任务再新鲜巧妙,也是白费。

4、课堂中间唱歌,能够舒缓竞赛一段后带来的紧张气氛。

但不清楚这首歌曲是否合适?5、给近段时期英语进步较快的几名学生拍了照片和一段录像,既作为了教学载体,又对他们的进步成功给予肯定和积极评价,这一“招”,自己有点沾沾自喜。

同时利用竞争机制,分阶段及时肯定表扬评价,利于调动学生的参与积极性,利于提高大容量课堂的速度。
