必修三英语第一单元的作文

必修三英语第一单元的作文In the modern era, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, transforming the way we communicate, work, and learn. The first unit of our English textbook, "必修三" (Compulsory Course 3), delves into the various aspects of technological advancements and their profound effects on society. In this essay, I will explore the positive and negative impacts of technology on modern life, focusing on areas such as communication, education, and personal well-being.Firstly, technology has revolutionized communication, making it faster and more efficient. With the advent of smartphones and social media platforms, we can now connect with people across the globe in real-time. This has not only facilitated the exchange of ideas and information but also fostered a sense of global community. However, this convenience comes at a cost. The constant connectivity can lead to information overload and has been linked to issues such as decreased attention span and the fear of missing out (FOMO).In the realm of education, technology has opened up new avenues for learning. Online courses and educational apps have made it possible for students to access a wealth of knowledge from the comfort of their homes. This has democratized education to some extent, allowing individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue their academic interests. Nevertheless, the digital divide remains a challenge, as notall students have equal access to the internet and digital devices, which can exacerbate existing inequalities in education. The impact of technology on personal well-being is a topic of much debate. On one hand, advancements in healthcare technology have led to improved medical treatments and a better understanding of various health conditions. On the other hand, the excessive use of electronic devices has been associated with sedentary lifestyles and a rise in obesity rates. Moreover, the reliance on technology can sometimeslead to a decrease in face-to-face interactions, which are crucial for building and maintaining strong social relationships. In conclusion, technology has undoubtedly had a significant impact on modern life. While it has brought about many benefits, such as便捷 (convenience) and 高效 (efficiency), it also presents challenges that we must address. As we continue to embrace technological advancements, it is crucial to find a balance that maximizes the positive aspects whilemitigating the potential negative effects. By doing so, we can ensure that technology serves as a tool for progress rather than a source of division and harm.请注意,由于您提供的标题是中文,我在文章中使用了中文标题,并在文章中穿插了一些中文词汇,以符合标题的要求。

高中英语必修三unit1写节日作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Here's an essay on writing about holidays from the perspective of an elementary school student, approximately 2000 words long:Holidays are the Best!Hi there! My name is Emma, and I'm 10 years old. I absolutely love holidays! They're the best days of the year because I get to spend time with my family, eat lots of yummy food, and do fun activities. My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas. I love everything about it – the twinkling lights, the colorful decorations, and the delicious cookies my mom bakes. But most of all, I love getting presents! Every year, I make a long list for Santa with all the toys and games I want. I always try to be extra good in the weeks leading up to Christmas so that Santa will bring me lots of great gifts. On Christmas Eve, my family and I have a special tradition. We all gather around the fireplace in our cozy living room and take turns reading Christmas stories. My little brother always falls asleep before we finish, but I try my best to stay awake because I don't want to miss a thing! After the stories, we hang our stockings over the fireplace and leave out milk and cookies for Santa. Then it's off to bed to try and get some sleep, even though I'm way too excited!Christmas morning is magical. I race downstairs to see the presents under the tree, and it's always piled high with colorfully wrapped gifts. My parents let me and my brother take turns opening our presents one by one. We make a huge mess with all the wrapping paper scattered everywhere, but we don't care –we're just so happy to get new toys and games! After presents, we have a big breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Yum!In the afternoon, we go to my grandparents' house for an amazing Christmas dinner. My grandma is an excellent cook, and she makes all my favorite dishes like roast turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. We stuff ourselves until we can't eat another bite! Then we just lounge around, playing with our new toys and watching Christmas movies together. It's the coziest, happiest day of the year.Another holiday I really enjoy is Halloween. I love dressing up in fun and spooky costumes – one year I was a witch, another year I was a vampire, and last year I went as a zombie! My friends and I have so much fun going trick-or-treating through the neighborhood, knocking on doors and collecting tons of candy. After trick-or-treating, my friends and I like to have Halloween parties at each other's houses. We play games like bobbing for apples, tell scary stories, and watch spooky movies. Sometimes we even have haunted houses set up in our basements or garages – they're not too scary, but just the right amount of spookiness for kids our age. Of course, we snack on all our candy from trick-or-treating too. Halloween is just such a thrill! The 4th of July is another one of my favorite holidays because it means the start of summer vacation! No more school for a few months – woohoo! My family always has a big barbecue and pool party at our house. We invite all our friends and relatives over, and we spend the whole day swimming, playing games in the backyard, and eating delicious barbecue food like hot dogs, hamburgers, and corn on the cob. When it starts to get dark, we have the best part of the 4th of July – the fireworks show! My dad gets really good fireworks, andhe puts on an amazing display right in our backyard. We lay out blankets on the grass and watch as the night sky lights up with bright colors and loud booms. The grand finale at the end is always my favorite part – it's like an explosion of light and sound that takes your breath away. Fireworks are just so magical! Those are some of my favorite holidays, but I also love celebrating holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter, and my birthday too. Holidays are just the best because they're all about spending quality time with family, getting treats and presents, and having lots of fun! I'm already counting down the days until the next big holiday. Bring on the celebrations!篇2Festivals are the Best!Hi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm 10 years old. I love tearing open the wrapping paper and seeing what Santa brought me. One year, I got a big Lego set, and another year, I got a brand new bike! Christmas is just the happiest day ever.Another festival I really enjoy is Halloween. On October 31st, we get to dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. I've been lots of different things for Halloween, like a pirate, a superhero, and even a dinosaur one year! When we go trick-or-treating, we walk from house to house, ringing the doorbells and yelling "Trick or treat!" The neighbors give us lots of candy, like chocolate bars, lollipops, and gummybears. By the end of the night, our bags are always so heavy with all the sweet treats! After trick-or-treating, we go home and have a little party with our friends. We play games, tell spooky stories, and of course, eat lots of candy! Halloween is so much fun because we get to dress up and be whoever we want for a night.Another festival I love is Thanksgiving. Festivals are special because they bring families and friends together to have fun, eat good food, and make happy memories. They're also a time when we get to learn about different cultures and traditions, which I think is really cool.No matter what festival it is, I always look forward to celebrating with the people I love most. Festivals are the best because they're filled with joy, laughter, and lots of love. I can't wait for the next one to come around!篇3My Favorite HolidaysHi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm going to tell you all about my favorite holidays. Holidays are the best because we get to have fun, eat yummy food, and spend time with our families. I love everything about holidays – the decorations, the traditions, and especially the presents!Christmas is probably my most favorite holiday of all. It's just the most magical time of the year! A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up our big Christmas tree and decorates it with lights, ornaments, and tinsel. We have a tradition where we all goout and pick the perfect tree together, and then we spend an evening decorating it while drinking hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music. It's so much fun!On Christmas Eve, we always leave out milk and cookies for Santa Claus. I try my best to stay awake to see if I can catch him, but I always fall asleep before he comes. In the morning, though, the cookies are gone, and there are presents under the tree! It's the best feeling ever to wake up and see all those beautifully wrapped gifts just waiting to be opened. After we open all the presents, we have a big Christmas dinner with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and all the fixings. My grandma makes the most delicious pumpkin pie for dessert. We spend the whole day together as a family, playing with our new toys and just enjoying each other's company. It's honestly the happiest day of the year for me.Another holiday I really love is Halloween. It's not quite as exciting as Christmas, but it's still a lot of fun. A few weeks before Halloween, my mom takes me to the store to pick out my costume for the year. I've been everything from a pirate to a superhero to a dinosaur. Once I have my costume, I can't wait to go trick-or-treating!On Halloween night, my friends and I all get dressed up in our costumes and go door-to-door in our neighborhood, ringing doorbells and yelling "Trick or treat!" Whenever someone opens the door, we hold out our bags or buckets, and they drop in some candy or other sweet treats. By the end of the night, our bags are practically overflowing with chocolate bars, lollipops, gummies, and all sorts of sugary goodness. When we get home, my friends and I like to dump out all our candy on the floor and sort it into piles – one pile for chocolate, one for hard candy, one for gummies, and so on. Then we try to make trades with each other to get rid of the candies we don't like and stock up on our favorites. I absolutely love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so I always try to trade for as many of those as I can. After trick-or-treating, my family and I carve pumpkins and roast the seeds for a salty, crunchy snack. We carve scary faces into the pumpkins and put candles inside to makejack-o'-lanterns. Then we turn off all the lights and admire how spooky the jack-o'-lanterns look in the dark. It's just such a fun, festive night full of sweet treats and spooky decorations. Those are definitely my two favorite holidays, but I also really enjoy the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and my birthday, ofcourse. I love the Fourth of July because we get to have cookouts and watch fireworks at night. Thanksgiving is great because of all the delicious food, like turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. And obviously, birthdays are awesome because I get to have cake, ice cream, and open presents from my friends and family. No matter what the holiday is, I just love the traditions, the decorations, the food, and the time spent with my loved ones. Holidays are truly the most wonderful times of the year for a kid like me. I can't wait for the next one to roll around so I can celebrate and make more magical memories. The essay is approximately 2,000 words long and written in English. My Favorite FestivalHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm a fifth-grader at Sunshine Elementary School. Today, I want to share with you about my favorite festival—the Spring Festival, which is also known as Chinese New Year. It's the most important traditional festival in China and celebrated by Chinese people all over the world! The Spring Festival usually falls in late January or early February, depending on the lunar calendar. It marks the beginning of a new year and a fresh start. Every year, my family gets really excited as the festival approaches. We clean our house from top to bottom to sweep away any bad luck from theprevious year. My mom also buys lots of delicious food and snacks for the celebration. One of the things I love most about the Spring Festival is the decorations! A few weeks before the big day, my parents would start putting up red lanterns, red couplets with poetic phrases, and paper cuttings around our home. The color red is believed to bring good luck in Chinese culture. We also have a tradition of hanging up upside-down fu characters, which means "fortune" or "blessing." It's supposed to allow the luck to pour down on us!Another fun part is making dumplings with my family. Dumplings are a must-have dish during the Spring Festival because their shape resembles ancient Chinese ingots. Making dumplings together is a way for us to bond and spend quality time. My job is to carefully fold and pinch the dumplings while my parents prepare the fillings. We usually make pork and veggie dumplings, but sometimes we get creative with different flavors too!On New Year's Eve, we have a huge reunion dinner with all our relatives. The table is filled with so many delicious dishes like braised pork belly, whole steamed fish, and my favorite—niangao, which is a sticky rice cake. After dinner, it's time for the main event—staying up late to watch the SpringFestival Gala on TV! It's a super long variety show with singing, dancing, comedy skits, and more. Even though some parts can be a bit boring for kids, I still enjoy watching it with my family. At midnight, we go outside and light firecrackers and fireworks to welcome the new year! The loud popping sounds are meant to scare away evil spirits. It's always an exciting and noisy moment. Afterwards, it's common for kids to receive red envelopes filled with "lucky money" from their parents and relatives. I usually get a decent amount to splurge on toys and snacks! The first few days of the new year are for visiting relatives and friends. We dress up in our new clothes and go from house to house exchanging greetings and well wishes. The elders give us more red envelopes with money inside. I have to be on my best behavior and recite auspicious phrases like "Gong Xi Fa Cai" which means "Congratulations and be prosperous!"Two weeks after the Spring Festival begins, we celebrate the Lantern Festival. This is when we get to eat tangyuan—sweet rice balls stuffed with different fillings. My favorites are the peanut and black sesame ones. On Lantern Festival night, we light up lanterns, solve riddles written on them, and watch amazingfireworks displays. It's the final celebration before the new year festivities officially come to an end.The Spring Festival holidays always feel way too short after having so much fun! I love learning about the rich traditions and symbolism behind all the festivities. It makes me feel connected to my Chinese roots and culture. I can't wait until next year to celebrate again with my family. Maybe I'll even get to stay up a little later to watch more of the Gala! The Spring Festival is truly the best time of the year.。

人教版英语选择性必修三第一单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Summer VacationHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just started 5th grade and my teacher asked us to write about what we did over summer vacation. I had the best summer ever so I have a lot to write about!First, my family went on an amazing trip to Beijing! My dad's company had a conference there so we got to tag along. We stayed in a huge fancy hotel right in the middle of the city. The first day, we visited Tiananmen Square which is this gigantic open area surrounded by important buildings and monuments. I felt so tiny looking around at everything!Next, we went to the Forbidden City which was the home of emperors and their families for hundreds of years. It's a massive palace complex with hundreds of buildings and beautiful gardens. My favorite part was climbing up onto the ancient city walls and walking along the top. You could see the whole palace from up there! The best part of the Beijing trip was definitely the Great Wall though. We took a bus far out of the city to a less crowded section. I couldn't believe how enormous and incredible the Wall was. Parts of it looked brand new and other parts were crumbling, but it just went on and on over the mountains as far as you could see. Our tour guide said it's over 13,000 miles long! We hiked along it for a few hours, which was tiring but so much fun. The views from the top were breathtaking. After Beijing, we went to visit my grandparents in their village for a week. It's a small rural village in Shandong province about an hour outside the city where my mom grew up. My grandparents were so happy to see us! Their little house and village are so different from the huge cities we're used to. There were chickens and ducks running around everywhere. My grandpa took me and my little brother on walks through the fields every morning before it got too hot. He showed us how to find frogs and crickets hiding in the grass. In the evenings after dinner, all the adults would sit outside and I would chase lightning bugs with my cousins. We caught a bunch in a jar one night and used them as a glowing lantern! So cool. For the last part of the summer, we went to stay with my aunt and uncle who live right on the beach in Qingdao. We spentpretty much every day swimming, building sandcastles, looking for seashells, and just relaxing on the beach. It was so peaceful. I got pretty good at skimming stones across the water too!One afternoon, we took a little motor boat out into the bay. We anchored for a while and went snorkeling over a reef full of coral and tropical fish. I had never been snorkeling before but I absolutely loved it. We saw so many crazy colorful fish and other sea creatures. I can't wait to go snorkeling again someday.Another fun day, we rented bikes and rode for miles along a paved trail beside the beach. We stopped for lunch at a little beachside restaurant where you take off your shoes before going inside. We ate the most delicious fresh seafood while our toes wiggled in the warm sand. Now that summer is over and I'm back in school, I miss the beach so much! Class is boring compared to all the adventures I had over vacation. I'm already counting down the days until next summer when we're hoping to go to Yunnan province. I'll have a whole new batch of awesome memories to write about then.Well, that's the story of my summer vacation! It was honestly one of the best times of my life. My family and I made so many incredible memories together. I feel so lucky that I got to experience so many different things and places in just a couplemonths. Maybe next year we'll even go somewhere outside of China! A girl can dream, right? I just hope every summer can be as fun and exciting as this one was.篇2Title: My Unforgettable Summer AdventureHi there! My name is Lily, and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. I want to share with you an awesome adventure I had during my summer vacation. It was the most exciting and thrilling experience of my life so far!Last summer, my parents surprised me with a trip to a beautiful countryside ranch. I was over the moon when they told me the news! I had always dreamed of spending time on a real farm, surrounded by animals and nature. The idea of being away from the city and exploring the great outdoors filled me with joy.We packed our bags and hit the road early one morning. The drive seemed to last forever, but the scenery outside the car window kept me entertained. I saw rolling hills, vast fields, and even a few cows grazing peacefully. As we got closer to our destination, the air became fresher, and the noise of the city faded away. When we finally arrived at the ranch, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like stepping into a different world. The ranch was a sprawling expanse of land, with a big farmhouse, barns, and pastures as far as the eye could see. I was greeted by the friendly owners, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, who welcomed us with warm smiles and a plate of freshly baked cookies. After settling into our cozy room, I couldn't wait to explore the ranch. Mrs. Thompson gave me a tour, introducing me to all the animals they had. There were cows, horses, chickens, pigs, and even a few goats! I was fascinated by how each animal had its own unique personality and quirks. One of my favorite things was helping out with the daily chores. Every morning, I would wake up to the sound of roosters crowing and join Mr. Thompson in feeding the animals. It was hard work, but I loved every minute of it. I learned how to milk the cows, collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop, and even ride a horse! One day, Mr. Thompson took me on a hiking trail through the nearby forest. The air was crisp, and the sounds of birds chirping filled the air. We spotted deer, rabbits, and even a few squirrels scampering around. It was like being in a whole different world, far away from the noise and pollution of the city.In the evenings, we would gather around the campfire and roast marshmallows. Mrs. Thompson would tell us stories about the history of the ranch, and we would gaze up at the starry night sky, marveling at the countless twinkling lights. One of the highlights of my trip was the annual county fair that took place nearby. It was a celebration of all things rural, with games, rides, and delicious food. I tried my hand at milking a cow (it was harder than it looked!), and even won a prize for the biggest pumpkin in the contest. As my summer adventure came to an end, I felt a mix of sadness and gratitude. I was sad to leave behind the peaceful tranquility of the ranch, but grateful for the memories and experiences I had gained. I learned so much about the importance of hard work, respect for nature, and the simple joys of life. Now, whenever I look back on that summer, I can't help but smile. It was an adventure that taught me valuable lessons and opened my eyes to the beauty of the world beyond the city limits.I can't wait to go back and create more unforgettable memories on the ranch.Well, that's my story! I hope you enjoyed reading about my summer adventure as much as I enjoyed living it. Maybe one day, you'll have the chance to experience the wonders of ranch life for yourself. Until then, keep exploring and embracing new adventures!篇3Title: My Awesome School LifeHi there! My name is Lily, and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. Today, I want to share with you all about my school life, which I think is pretty awesome!First of all, let me tell you about my school. It's called Sunshine Elementary School, and it's a big, bright building with lots of classrooms, a playground, and even a basketball court! My favorite part of the school is the library because I love reading books, especially adventure stories and mysteries. In my class, we have a really nice teacher named Ms. Lee. She's always smiling and very patient with us. She makes learning fun by incorporating games and activities into our lessons. For example, when we were learning about multiplication, she had us play a game where we had to solve math problems to move our pieces across the board. It was so much fun that I didn't even realize I was learning!I have a lot of friends in my class too. My best friend is a girl named Emma. We've known each other since kindergarten, and we do everything together. We like to play hopscotch during recess and trade snacks from our lunchboxes. Sometimes, we even have sleepovers at each other's houses and stay up late watching movies or telling ghost stories.Speaking of snacks, I love the food in our school cafeteria! They have all sorts of yummy things like pizza, chicken nuggets, and my personal favorite, chocolate chip cookies. The lunch ladies are really nice too, and they always give us extra servings if we ask politely. One of the best things about my school is all the fun events and activities we have. Every year, we have a sports day where we compete in races and games. There's also a talent show where students can sing, dance, or perform magic tricks. Last year, I did a comedy routine with Emma, and we won first place!Another thing I love about my school is the field trips we go on. Last month, we went to a museum and learned all about dinosaurs. We even got to see real fossils and giant skeletons! It was so cool, and I can't wait for our next field trip.Overall, I think my school life is pretty awesome. I get to learn new things every day, spend time with my friends, and havelots of fun adventures. I know that I'm lucky to have such a great school and supportive teachers and family.Well, that's all for now, folks! I hope you enjoyed hearing about my school life. Who knows, maybe one day I'll become a famous writer and write a book all about my adventures at Sunshine Elementary School. Until then, I'll just keep on studying, playing, and making the most of every day!篇4My Big FamilyHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade and I go to Maple Tree Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my huge, crazy family!I live with my mom, dad, older sister Amy, younger brother Michael, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, and two cousins - Timmy and Samantha. We all live together in a big house with 6 bedrooms. It's always really lively and there's never a dull moment!Let me start by telling you about my parents. My mom's name is Susan and she's a nurse at the hospital downtown. She has to work really long hours sometimes but she's super kindand caring. My dad is Jeff and he owns his own construction company. He's really strong and handy around the house. He's also really funny and is always cracking jokes to make us laugh. Then there's my older sister Amy who is 15 years old. She's basically a genius and gets straight A's in school. Amy wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She can be kinda bossy sometimes but she's also really patient and helps me a lot with my homework. My little brother Michael just turned 7. He's hyper, loud, and always getting into trouble! But he's also the cutest and funniest little guy.My grandparents live with us too. Grandma's name is Rose and she's 72 years old. She's an amazing cook and is always baking yummy pies, cookies, and cakes for us. Grandpa Jack is 75 and he's a total goofball. He tells the silliest jokes and does crazy dances to make us laugh. They've been married for almost 50 years! My aunt Kelly and uncle Tim are in their 30s and live in the basement apartment at our house. Aunt Kelly is a photographer and uncle Tim is a music teacher. They have two kids - my cousins Timmy and Samantha. Timmy is 8 and is obsessed with sports, especially baseball. Samantha is 5 and she's basically a mini diva! She loves all things pink and sparkly.Holidays at our house are pure chaos with that many people! Thanksgiving is probably my favorite though because Grandma makes her famous turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Christmas is pretty great too with a huge tree, tons of presents, and family all around.Summer is my favorite time of year because that's when we go on our yearly camping trip to the lake. We rent a couple of cabins, go hiking, swimming, canoeing, and make s'mores over the campfire at night. We have so much fun!Although having such a big family means there's rarely any peace and quiet, I wouldn't have it any other way. There's always someone to play with, laugh with, or ask for help. We might get on each other's nerves sometimes, but we're a tight family who loves and supports one another no matter what. I feel so lucky and grateful for my huge, crazy family! What about you? What's your family like? I'd love to hear all about the people who make up your family. Having a big or small family, there's no right or wrong way as long as you have each other's backs. Family is everything!篇5My Favorite Weekend ActivitiesHi! My name is Emma and I am 10 years old. I love weekends because I can do so many fun things that I can't do during the school week. Today, I want to tell you all about my favorite weekend activities. One of my most favorite things to do on the weekend is going to the park with my family. We live near a huge park with lots of trees, a big playground, and even a little lake where you can rent boats and go fishing. When the weather is nice, we pack a picnic lunch and spend the whole day at the park.In the morning, my brother and I love to play on the playground. There are swings, slides, monkey bars, and even a rock climbing wall! We run around and burn off all our energy. Sometimes, we have races to see who can go down the slide the fastest. My dad is really tall, so he can't fit on the playground equipment anymore. But he still likes to push us on the swings and make sure we don't get hurt. After we get tired from running around, we eat our picnic lunch under the big oak trees. My mom always packs my favorite sandwiches - peanut butter and jelly! We also have fruit, chips, cookies, and juice boxes. Eating outside in the fresh air makes the food taste even better. In the afternoon, we rent a little rowboat and go out on the lake. My dad rows while my mom helps keep us from rocking the boat too much. We look for ducks, geese, and other birds swimming in the water. Sometimes, we even see turtles sunbathing on logs! If we're lucky, we might catch a fish or two. My brother is really good at fishing, but I'm still learning. Before we go home, we walk around the hiking trails in the woods part of the park. We look for squirrels, rabbits, and deer. We also collect interesting rocks, leaves, pinecones, and other nature items. My favorite is finding different kinds of feathers on the ground. I've found blue jay feathers, cardinal feathers, and even a huge turkey feather once!Another activity I really enjoy on the weekends is having a family movie night. We make popcorn and hot chocolate, get out all the blankets and pillows, and watch a movie together in the living room. We turn off all the lights except for the TV, and it feels like we're in our own private movie theater! My parents let me pick the movie sometimes. I like all kinds of movies, but my favorites are animated Disney and Pixar films. Movies like Frozen, Moana, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo are so much fun to watch. The songs, the jokes, the characters - I love itall! We get totally absorbed into the story and cheer for the heroes to win.My dad prefers action and adventure movies. He likes superhero films from Marvel and DC. Movies like The Avengers, Black Panther, and Wonder Woman are some of his favorites. Sometimes the fights and explosions are a little scary, but I know it's just pretend. My mom's favorite movies are romantic comedies and musicals. She loves classics like Singin' in the Rain, The Sound of Music, and Mary Poppins. But she also likes newer ones like Mamma Mia!, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman. She sings and dances along, and tries to teach us the songs and dance moves too!My brother is really into science fiction movies about space, aliens, and robots. His top picks are Star Wars, E.T., and Wall-E. He builds spaceships and robots out of Legos in his room. I think he wishes he could become an astronaut or scientist when he grows up.No matter what movie we watch, I love snuggling up with my family under the blankets. We laugh at the funny parts, hold our breath during the suspenseful scenes, and maybe even cryduring the sad moments. But we're together making memories, and that's what really matters.Weekends are the best! I get to spend quality time with my parents and brother, away from school and work. We go on little adventures, we laugh and play, and we just enjoy being a family. Those are my favorite weekend activities - going to the park and having movie nights at home. What about you? What fun things do you like to do on the weekends? I'd love to hear all about it!篇6Title: My Wonderful School LifeHi there! My name is Tommy, and I'm a fifth-grader at Sunshine Elementary School. I went on a big adventure with my family and I want to tell you all about it.It all started a few weeks before school let out for the summer. My mom and dad sat me and my little brother Jack down and said "Kids, how would you like to go on a really cool road trip this summer?" Jack and I looked at each other with big smiles and nodded excitedly. A road trip sounded like so much fun!My parents explained that we would pack up our minivan and drive all the way from our home in Ohio to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The Grand Canyon is this humongous canyon or valley in the ground, over a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide in some spots! It was formed by the Colorado River over millionsof years. My dad showed us pictures and it looked absolutely amazing. We started getting ready right away. My mom made packing lists for each of us - clothes, toiletries, games, books, and anything else we might need for a long road trip. Jack and I were put in charge of packing our own backpacks with toys, games, and books to keep us entertained. I packed my sketchbook and colored pencils because I love to draw. Jack packed his handheld video game, some comic books, and his favorite stuffed puppy dog. Finally, the last day of school arrived and we were bubbling over with excitement for our big adventure! That night we could hardly sleep thinking about the journey ahead. The next morning, bright and early, we loaded up the minivan and hit the road. From Ohio, it would take us篇2My Summer Vacation AdventuresYay, summer vacation was finally here! No more waking up super early or doing homework after school. I was free to play all day long for two whole months. My parents had some funactivities planned for our family, but I also just wanted lazy days at home in my pajamas watching cartoons and playing video games. The first week, we didn't do too much. Mom let us sleep in late and we had pancakes for breakfast almost every morning. My little sister and I played together building Lego cities and coloring pictures. She's only 5 so she's not the best at sharing her toys yet. We got into a few fights over whose turn it was with the dolls. Good thing Mom was around to make us take turns! In the second week, my cousins came over to stay with us for a few days. I was so excited because they're really fun and we turn into a gang of silly kids when we're all together. We had a sleepover in the living room one night and stayed up way too late watching movies and telling spooky stories. The next day we were all tired grumps though! The third week, my dad took us on a hiking trip in the mountains. I wasn't super thrilled about it at first because it sounded like hard work. But once we got out on the trails, it was actually awesome! The trees were so tall and green, there were cute chipmunks everywhere, and we saw a family of deer too. We had a picnic lunch by this pretty stream. I didn't want to leave! On the way home we stopped at a farm and picked freshstrawberries. Mmm, nothing beats strawberries you pick yourself. After that, we headed to the lake for a week to stay at my grandparents' cabin. That was the best part of the whole vacation! Every day we went swimming, fishing, canoeing, and built sandcastles on the beach. One night we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. I taught my sister how to shoot a bow and arrow too (carefully, with Dad's help of course). We ran around exploring the woods and catching frogs and salamanders during the day. In the evenings, we played board games and put puzzles together as a family. I didn't want to leave the cabin at all!Too soon, it was time to get ready to go back to school. My dad took us all for one final adventure - an overnight camping trip! We pitched our tent in the forest, hiked to a waterfall, cooked our meals over the campfire, and slept under the stars. Falling asleep to the sounds of the nighttime forest was so peaceful. When I woke up, I saw a few deer quietly grazing just a few feet away. It was like being in a Disney movie! As fun as vacation was, I was also excited to get back to school. I had missed my friends and couldn't wait to tell themabout my summer adventures. Maybe I'll try to convince my parents to go camping again over the next school break!Overall, it was an amazing summer. We had a good mix of just lounging around the house and going on little trips and adventures. My sister and I didn't fight too much (well, except over those silly dolls) and my parents made sure we had a blast. I feel rested and recharged to take on a new school year. Vacations are the best!篇3My Big FamilyHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 8 years old. I live with my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all in one big house. We have a huge family!Every morning, I wake up to the sounds of my grandma cooking breakfast in the kitchen. She makes the most delicious jianbing (Chinese crepes) and warm soybean milk. The smells waft through the hallways and wake everybody up. My cousins Huihui and Linlin come running out of their room, still in their pajamas. We all gather around the big table and eat grandma's yummy food together. After breakfast, it's time to get ready for school. My mom helps me put on my uniform and pack my backpack. She always tucks an extra snack in there for me - maybe an apple or some crackers. My dad gives me a hug and says "Study hard!" then I'm out the door with Huihui and Linlin. We walk to the school just down the street. At school, we have so much fun! We learn math, Chinese, English and science. My favorite is art class because I love drawing pictures of my family. I draw grandpa with his round glasses, aunt Mei with her long braided hair, and baby cousin Kunkun with his chubby cheeks. I put all my heart into my drawings. When school gets out, we walk home together again. Before going inside, we always stop to play in the small park nearby. We climb on the monkey bars, swing on the swings, and chase each other around laughing. It's the best part of my day! Then it's time for dinner. We go home and the whole family - grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and my parents - all sit around the huge dining table. The dishes are endless! There are so many delicious things - kung pao chicken, mapo tofu, steamed fish, stir-fried veggies. We pass the plates around as wetalk about our days. Grandpa tells funny jokes that make us all crack up.After dinner, I have to do my homework. My aunties and uncles help me with the hard math problems. Cousin Huihui and I like quizzing each other on English vocabulary too. When we're finished, we get to play games or watch TV together. Baby Kunkun is so cute trying to grab the remote!Bedtime comes too soon. I put on my pajamas and brush my teeth. Mom tucks me into bed and Dad reads me a story. As I drift off to sleep, I can hear the sounds of my big family all around me - the TV in the living room, someone washing dishes in the kitchen, my cousins giggling in their room. I feel so safe, loved and lucky. My big family is the best! Even though it's noisy and crowded, I wouldn't have it any other way. From grandma's cooking to playing in the park to our big family dinners, every day is filled with such happiness, love and fun. My cousins are my best friends and I know I can count on my aunts, uncles and parents for anything. Our home is warm, joyful and never lonely. I'm one lucky kid to have such an amazing big family!篇4My Summer Vacation Adventures!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I just started 5th grade and my teacher asked us to write about what we did over summer vacation. Well, let me tell you - I had the best summer ever! It was full of fun adventures and exciting experiences. I can't wait to share all about it with you.It all started on the last day of school. I was so happy when the final bell rang because that meant no more homework, no more tests, and two whole months of freedom! My parents had already made lots of fun plans for our family vacation. First up was a road trip to the beach. We piled into the car with our suitcases, snacks, and games to play on the drive. After what felt like forever stuck in the backseat asking "Are we there yet?", we finally arrived at the beach town. I could smell the salty ocean air as soon as we stepped out of the car. Our hotel room had an amazing view of the sparkling blue waves crashing on the sandy shore. I could hardly wait to go swimming! The next morning, I woke up bright and early feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. I threw on my swimsuit, slathered on the sunscreen, and raced out to the beach dragging my boogie board behind me. The water was a little chilly at first, but after afew minutes of splashing around, it felt refreshing and nice. I spent hours riding the waves on my boogie board and building sandcastles. We had a picnic lunch of sandwiches and fruitat the beach. In the afternoon, I went shell hunting and found so many colorful shells and unique patterns. I kept my favorite ones in a bucket to add to my shell collection at home. After a few days of beach fun in the sun, we packed up and continued our road trip adventure. Next stop - the big city! I had never been to a huge city like this before. The skyscrapers seemed to stretch all the way up to the clouds. There were so many people, cars, stores, and lights everywhere you looked. It was like nothing I had ever seen before! One of the highlights was visiting the amazing science museum. They had so many cool interactive exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to outer space. I got to experience what it's like to walk on the moon in a special "low-gravity" room.I also extracted DNA from a strawberry and learned how genetics work. My favorite was watching the huge T-Rex animatronic roar and move its gigantic jaws. It made me feel so small!Another day we went to the top of a skyscraper lookout tower and saw views of the entire city skyline stretching out in every direction. The buildings looked like tiny toy blocks fromway up there. I had never realized just how big cities really are until I saw it with my own eyes from that high up.We did so many fun things in the city - went to museums, saw shows, explored parks and gardens, and ate at all kinds of delicious restaurants. One night we went to a baseball game and I got to try stadium snacks like hot dogs, pretzels, and ice cream in a tiny baseball helmet! The game went into extra innings and we didn't get back to the hotel until well after midnight. I was so exhausted but it was worth it.After a week of city adventures, we hit the road again. This time our destination was the mountains for hiking, camping, and getting back to nature. We stayed at a campsitewith a beautiful view of the peaks and forests all around us.The first night we roasted marshmallows and told scary stories around the campfire. I tried catching fireflies in a jar to use as a natural nightlight in our tent. Sleeping in the great outdoors with all the critters making noises was a little creepy at first, but also felt cozy being surrounded by nature.Over the next few days, we went on some amazing hikes to see waterfalls, creeks, meadows full of wildflowers, and even spot some wildlife like deer and birds. We learned about different trees, plants, and how to identify animal footprints. I lovedbreathing in the fresh, crisp mountain air. Everything smelled so clean and earthy. One day we went on a long hike and at the end were rewarded with the most spectacular view I had ever seen. We were standing on top of a big rock overlooking a huge, crystal clear mountain lake surrounded by towering peaks covered in pine trees. The water was a beautiful shade of blue-green that seemed to glow in the afternoon sunlight. I felt so tiny and insignificant looking out at the vastness of nature's beauty all around me. It was magical and peaceful all at the same time. Our last adventure before heading home was whitewater rafting down a rushing river. We had to wear bulky life jackets and helmets but it was so worth it! Our guide coached us on how to paddle together as a team to steer through the choppy rapids. We crashed through walls of whitewater getting completely drenched. At one point we got stuck on a rock and had to push off using our paddles. My heart was pounding with a mix of adrenaline and sheer excitement the whole time. It was like a real-life rollercoaster but even better! After two months of vacations filled with beach relaxation, city excitement, and mountain adventures, it was time to head back home. Part of me was sad for the fun to end, but I also feltso lucky to have experienced so many amazing new places and activities. I have a lifetime of wonderful summer memories to look back on now.Well, that's the story of my summer vacation! Between you and me, I'm already counting down the days until next summer when I can go on new adventures and make more incredible memories. For now though, it's time to hit the books and work hard in school this year. Thanks for reading about my summer - I hope you enjoyed living vicariously through my travels! Let me know if you've ever done anything like the things I did. I'll talk to you again soon!篇5My Favorite SeasonHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 4th grader. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite season of the year - summer! There's just something truly magical about those long, warm, sunny days that makes me feel so alive and happy.First off, summer means no more school for a few months! Don't get me wrong, I actually really like school and learning new things. But there's nothing quite like that free feeling of having no homework, no tests, and no rigid schedule to follow. Insteadof being stuck inside a classroom, I get to spend my days running around outside, riding my bike, splashing in the pool, and just being a kid.The weather in summer is pretty much perfect in my book. The sun feels so warm and comforting on my skin. I love waking up to bright blue skies without a cloud in sight. My mom lets me wear shorts, t-shirts and sandals all day instead of bundling up in heavy coats and boots. No more shivering outside while waiting for the school bus!One of my absolute favorite things about summer is going on vacation with my family. Last year, we went to the beach for a week and had an absolute blast! I'll never forget building mega sandcastles, boogie boarding in the ocean waves, and treating myself to ice cream cones pretty much every single day. This summer, we're road tripping to the mountains for some hiking and camping under the stars. I can already picture myself toasting s'mores over the campfire.Even when I'm just sitting around at home, summer has its perks. I love reading adventure books out on our patio, sipping lemonade and soaking up some sun. Or having friends over for backyard barbecues and water balloon toss contests. We run through the sprinklers to cool off and have popsicle juicedripping down our chins. Those are the kinds of memories I'll cherish forever.Let's not forget the amazing summer snacks and meals! Juicy watermelons, sweet corn on the cob, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, fresh berries, and ice cream for dessert. My mom makes killer fruit salads and refreshing smoothies to help us beat the heat. Sometimes we'll pick fresh veggies and herbs from our little garden too. It doesn't get much better than that!Another thing I go nuts over in the summertime? Campfires! There's a certain distinct smell in the air when a fire is burning that instantly floods me with feelings of comfort and nostalgia. Our family likes to toast marshmallows and make s'mores while singing silly campfire songs together. We'll stargaze for hours, trying to locate constellations and make wishes on shooting stars.I have to admit, I do get a little stir crazy by the time August rolls around after two months off from school. As excited as I am for summer break, I start really missing my teachers, my classes, and all my friends again. Returning to the classroom for a new school year is exciting and invigorating. But those lazy summer days of fun in the sun will forever hold a special place in my heart. Some of my favorite summer memories are from times that seemed rather mundane at first. Like the summer evenings when my dad would grill burgers out back and we'd eat our picnic dinner on a big blanket in the yard. My little brother and I would beg for "just one more" game of tag or hide-and-seek as the fireflies started twinkling around us. Simple moments, but ones I'll forever cherish.I could keep rambling all day about why summer is so awesome, but I'd better wrap this up before I put you to sleep! From playing outside from dawn until dusk, to staying up late watching movies with my family, to embarking on exciting vacations and adventures - summer is simply the best in my book. Those endless sun-filled days create the most wonderful, carefree memories that I'll carry with me always. So while my friends may favor the crisp air and pretty colors of fall, or the Winter wonderlands of snow and hot cocoa, summer will forever reign supreme for this kid. I savor every single second of it while it lasts. And then I start counting down the days until summer rolls back around again!篇6My Super Awesome Summer VacationThis summer was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did a million cool things. First, I went to summer camp for two whole weeks. Summer camp is where you go and sleep in cabins with a bunch of other kids and do activities all day like swimming, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, and more. The first day of camp, I was a little nervous because I didn't know anybody. But I made friends super quick. My two best friends were Sam and Alex. Sam loves sports and Alex is really good at arts and crafts. The three of us did everything together. One of my favorite camp activities was canoeing. A canoe is a long narrow boat that you paddle across the lake. Me, Sam, and Alex all got in one canoe together. Sam was the best paddler so he sat in the back. I sat in the middle and Alex was in the front. We had a contest to see who could paddle the straightest line across the lake. Alex couldn't paddle very well so we kept going in circles. We all fell in the water laughing so hard!Another cool thing we did was archery. Archery is where you use a bow and arrow to shoot at a target. The first few times I missed the whole target completely! But after practicing a bunch, I started hitting the bullseye more and more. By the end of camp, I was the archery champion! We also went on some really fun hikes in the woods. One time we saw a deer eating leaves right on the trail. We all froze and tried to be super quiet so we wouldn't scare it away. We watched the deer for what felt like forever before it finally ran off.At night after all the activities were done, we had campfires and roasted marshmallows. We told scary stories and jokes an。

Jack is also very hardworking and dedicated to his job, always going the extra mile to deliver quality work.Another colleague of mine is Li Wei, who is from China. Li Wei is very organized and detail-oriented, always making sure that everything is in place and on time. He is a great team player and is always willing to share his knowledge and help others improve. One of the activities that we did was to write a composition about our favorite place. In this essay, I will share with you my favorite place and explain why it holds a special part in my heart.BodyMy favorite place is a small library in my neighborhood. The library is located in a quiet corner of the town, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a peaceful haven for book lovers like me, where I can escape the noise and distractions of the outside world and immerse myself in the magical world of books. The library is not very big, but it is well-stocked with a wide variety of books ranging from fiction to non-fiction, classics to contemporary literature. The shelves are neatly arranged, and the books are organized by genre and author, making it easy for me to browse and discover new reads. I love spending hourswandering the aisles, running my fingers along the spines of the books, and selecting a few to borrow and take home. One of the things that I love most about the library is the cozy reading nook by the window. The nook is bathed in natural light, and it overlooks a beautiful garden with colorful flowers and chirping birds. I often sit there with a book in hand, sipping a cup of hot tea, and losing myself in the pages of a good story. The peaceful ambiance of the library and the soothing sounds of nature outside help me relax and unwind after a long day.Another reason why I love the library is the sense of community it fosters. The librarians are friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend a book or engage in a lively discussion about literature. I have made friends with other bookworms who share my passion for reading, and we often meet at the library to exchange book recommendations and discuss our favorite authors. The library has become a place where I feel a sense of belonging and camaraderie withlike-minded individuals.ConclusionIn conclusion, the small library in my neighborhood is my favorite place because it is a serene sanctuary where I can escape the chaos of the world, indulge in my love for books, andconnect with fellow book enthusiasts. It is a place that brings me joy, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. I am grateful for the library and the wonderful experiences it has given me, and I look forward to many more hours of blissful reading in my favorite place.。

The whole city, decorated with beautiful lanterns everywhere, looks as if it was a sea of lanterns.
Ⅰ.Can you name as many Chinese traditional festivals as you can in English?
Lantern Festival takes place / falls on the fifteenth day of the first Chinese lunar month, which marks the end of the Spring Festival. Our custom is to eat a special delicious food Yuanxiao, a kind of sweet dumpling made of sticky rice flour. The celebration also includes appreciating dragon dance and lion dance, watching fireworks, enjoying lanterns and riddle guessing.
As its name suggests, lanterns have always been a central feature of this festival, which are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many other things. Remember, when the first full moon of the Lunar New Year shines on a sea of lanterns, and people gather together in the streets to enjoy the feast of happiness, it can only mean one thing–Lantern Festival in China.
