还有“in the midst of”,意思是“在……

例如:“The robin flew down from his treetop and hopped about or flew after her from one bush to another” 这个句子中使用了“fromto”的结构,清晰地表达了小鸟的动作轨迹。

比如过去完成时,“She had never known such a quiet place” 通过这种时态,更好地描述了过去的状态和经历。

Reading has always been a fundamental part of my life. It not only helps me relax and escape from reality, but also broadens my horizons and enriches my knowledge.

One of my favorite books that I recently read is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This novel tells a powerful story about racial injustice and moral growth in the American South during the Great Depression.

Through the eyes of the young protagonist Scout Finch, the readers are able to witness the harsh reality of racism and prejudice, while also experiencing the courage and compassion of those who stoodup against it.

Reading this book made me reflect on the importance of standing up for what is right, even in the face of adversity and criticism. It reminded me that change starts with individuals who are willing to challenge the status quo and fight for equality and justice.

Nevertheless, when I read this book, I feel a little sad –about ourselves, whom are losing more and more innocenceHere I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that hasalready been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.3. Today, I read the article "flying children", which showed me the hardships of Nu children's life and made me understand that our happy life is hard won. This article is about: Nu children have to "fly" to the roaring Nu River every day, go to the school hanging on the dangerous peak opposite, do their homework, cook and eat by themselves, go back in the evening, go back with the fire pond, sleep with the river waves, and "I" bless Nu childrenAh! A Jiang and his partners are going to school regardless of the danger of their lives, he saidHow much we need to learn from our learning spirit!Their narrow and steep road runs parallel to the roaring river, and there is no water on the riverThere is a bridge, they can only rely on the slender steel wire rope that is easy to be ignored to get to the school every day. We have cars to pick us up from school to school, and the road is also a flat road. Some students are reluctant. The desks and chairs they use in class may bemade of stone, with a board on it, and the chairs are built lower. Look at us again. Our chairs are brand-new wooden tables and chairs, but some students don't want to keep the wooden tables and chairs intact, so they deliberatelySqueeze the correction fluid on the tables and chairs, and even some students carve words on the tables and chairs with their knives. What a bad habit! Although people don't have brand-new tables and chairs, they also study hard and work hard, while we wander and talk in class. How do we cherish time! Their classroom in class is a simple wooden room. When the wind blows, their classroom is crumbling, and how spacious and bright our classroom is. The light they use in class may be natural light or fire pond, and how bright the light we use in class is. The houses they live in may be wooden houses and bamboo grove houses. And we... Our life has been so happy that we still complain about this and that every day. Is that all right? After reading this article "flying children", I understand that our life is hard won and we should cherish it. I am determined to become a volunteer to help children like a Jiang and make them the pillars of the motherland. I also wish the Nu children will fly higher and farther!4. There are two people who are the rich man's neighbours.there arevery clever, they got lots of money from that man,and stay together.the rich man only got money, but he don't know how to enjoy this life,he is lonly.he always thought about his money not other people.in the future,i want to be the person who like poppy plink or carl.their heart are full of happyness, they are hopeful.5.

Here is an English essay with over 1000 words, without a title and without any extra punctuation marks in the main body. The topic is "English Reading Notes Excerpts 30 Pieces".English reading has always been an essential part of my language learning journey. Through reading a diverse range of materials, I have not only expanded my vocabulary and improved my comprehension skills but also gained valuable insights into various aspects of life. In this essay, I will share excerpts from 30 pieces of English reading that have left a lasting impression on me.Excerpt 1: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss This quote from the beloved children's author Dr. Seuss eloquently captures the transformative power of reading. It reminds us that the more we expose ourselves to new information and perspectives through reading, the more our horizons will broaden and the more opportunities we will have to explore and grow.Excerpt 2: "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." - Joseph AddisonThis analogy drawn by the English essayist Joseph Addison emphasizes the importance of reading as a mental exercise. Just as physical exercise strengthens our bodies, reading challenges and stimulates our minds, helping us to stay intellectually fit and agile.Excerpt 3: "The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries." - René DescartesThis insightful observation by the Frenc h philosopher René Descartes highlights the unique ability of books to connect us with the great thinkers and luminaries of the past. Through reading, we can engage in a virtual dialogue with these extraordinary minds, gleaning their wisdom and perspectives.Excerpt 4: "A book is a dream you hold in your hand." - Neil Gaiman The fantasy author Neil Gaiman's poetic description of a book captures the sense of wonder and imagination that reading can evoke. Each book we pick up has the power to transport us to new and exciting realms, allowing us to escape the confines of our everyday lives.Excerpt 5: "Reading is to the soul what exercise is to the body." - Matthew KellyThis parallel drawn by the motivational speaker Matthew Kelly reinforces the idea that reading nourishes our spiritual and emotional well-being, much like physical exercise benefits ourphysical health. By engaging with the written word, we can find solace, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.Excerpt 6: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. SeussThis excerpt, which is the same as the first one, serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative potential of reading. By continually expanding our knowledge and perspectives through reading, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities for growth and exploration.Excerpt 7: "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." - Joseph AddisonThis excerpt, which is the same as the second one, emphasizes the cognitive benefits of reading, underscoring its importance as a mental exercise that keeps our minds sharp and agile.Excerpt 8: "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one." - George R.R. MartinThe renowned fantasy author George R.R. Martin eloquently captures the transformative power of reading, suggesting that through the act of reading, we can vicariously experience a multitude of lives and perspectives, whereas those who do not read are limited to a single life experience.Excerpt 9: "Reading is to the soul what exercise is to the body." - Matthew KellyThis excerpt, which is the same as the fifth one, reinforces the idea that reading nourishes our emotional and spiritual well-being, serving as a form of mental and spiritual exercise.Excerpt 10: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss This excerpt, which is the same as the first and sixth ones, serves as a powerful and memorable mantra, highlighting the endless possibilities that reading can unlock.Excerpt 11: "A book is a device to ignite the imagination." - Alan BennettThe British playwright Alan Bennett's description of a book as a device to ignite the imagination underscores the transformative power of reading, which can transport us to new worlds and inspire us to think in novel ways.Excerpt 12: "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." - Joseph AddisonThis excerpt, which is the same as the second and seventh ones, reinforces the cognitive benefits of reading and its importance as a mental exercise.Excerpt 13: "The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read." - Mark TwainThe renowned American author Mark Twain's observation highlights the importance of actively engaging with the written word. Those who choose not to read deprive themselves of the knowledge and insights that reading can provide, effectively placing themselves on par with those who lack the ability to read.Excerpt 14: "A book is a dream you hold in your hand." - Neil Gaiman This excerpt, which is the same as the fourth one, captures the sense of wonder and imagination that reading can evoke, likening a book to a dream that we can hold and experience.Excerpt 15: "Reading is to the soul what exercise is to the body." - Matthew KellyThis excerpt, which is the same as the fifth and ninth ones, emphasizes the emotional and spiritual benefits of reading, positioning it as a form of mental and spiritual nourishment.Excerpt 16: "The more that you read, the more things you will know.

This summer vacation, I read journey to the west, one of the four famous works. This book is very classic. It was created by Master Wu Chengen and is also one of the required books for Grade 5. The book tells the story that four Tang monks, teachers and disciples went to the west to worship Buddha and learn sc riptures. They climbed mountains and rivers all the way and finally achieved the correct results after experiencing the difficulties of September 81. Monkey King is the main character in this book. Many people like him and think he is a wise and brave hero, but I think the early monkey king had no rules and no law. Let him guard the flat peach garden, but he stole all the flat peaches. Knowing that he was not invited to the flat peach banquet, he made a big fuss in the heavenly palace. Finally, he was pressed by the Tathagata Buddha on the Wuxing mountain for 500 years and suffered a lot. Chapter 15 stealing ginseng fruit is the same bad problem. Zhen Yuanzi kindly asked daotong to send two ginseng fruits to Tang monk. Tang Monk didn't dare to eat, but Bajie saw it. He fooled Wukong to steal some. After being found, he refused to admit his mistake. Instead, he became angry and simply pulled down two ginseng fruit trees. As a result, they were naturally punished. Monkey King is a stone monkey. He lacks a tutor. If he does it by his own ability, he will not abide by the rules and lawlessness, but he will be punished in the end. After being pitiful and embarrassed, I have to clean up the mess by myself. In real life, there are also some unruly people. For example, during the epidemic, there was an old man who had clearly been to the epidemic area, but he also concealed his action track, did not isolate himself after coming back, and walked around without a mask in densely populated areas, resulting in widespread spread and greater social harm. If you have rules, you will achieve great things. If you don't have rules, you will bear the consequences《 Journey to the west is not only a novel, but also a textbook to guide us how to be human.2. After reading Journey to the west, I benefited a lot. He also let me understand a profound truth, that is: if you want to do a thing, you must let everyone work together and unite to succeed. After reading Journey to the west, I have deep feelings. In particular, I was deeply impressed by the twists and turns of the plot and the strange experience of Tang Monk teachers and disciples. Journey to the west is one of the four famous works in ancient China by Wu Chengen. It mainly tells the story of Tang Monk and three disciples who worked hard to subdue demons and subdue demons, went through the difficulties of September 81 and finally obtained the Sutra. This book shows people all kinds of difficulties and obstacles encountered by the four masters and disciples on the vast Westward Journey to learn s criptures, and turns these difficulties and dangers into all kinds of dangerous disasters. It is an eye opener and amazing to compete with demons and ghosts one after another. The characters in the book have distinctive personalities and characteristics. There are honest and kind Tang monks who are dedicated to Buddhism, smart and alert Sun Wukong who has a clear distinction between good and evil, pig Bajie who is lazy and likes to play smart, and sand monk who is practical, reliable and silent. The novel has wonderful plots and climaxes. Personality is the monkey king making trouble in heaven, three dozen Baigujing, true and false Monkey King, three borrowed plantain fans, etc. it is not only a well-known classic, but also a story I can't put down. Incentive language Tang Monk's teachers and disciples experienced all kinds of hardships, but they didn't flinch at all. Their perseverance, fearlessness of difficulties and dangers and perseverance touched me a lot. In the past, although I had the lofty ideal of being a scientist, I couldn't bear hardships and stand hard work. I often procrastinated and gave up halfway. I was obsessed with enjoyment, eating delicious food and playing fun. In the years to come, I must get rid of the wrong way of doing things, vigorously carry forward the enterprising spirit of tenacity, perseverance, fearlessness of difficulties and dangers, do everything well, and forge ahead towards my set goal!3. One summer vacation, I finished reading the book journey to the West written by Wu Chengen. This book, together with a dream of Red Mansions, the romance of the Three Kingdoms and the water margin, are four famous works. When I got this book for the first time, I didn't know the main content, because I seldom watched the TV play journey to the west, so I was very curious. What is written in the book? This book "hides" more than 1000 good words with four left characters. As far as I know, it has become one of the four famous works because there are many good words and goodsentences, which show the author's writing skills. Four word good words such as: tut tut praise, describe the psychological activities of Tang monk, and admire the scenery very much! It means constant praise and admiration; Gnashing teeth: it describes Wukong's look, very atmosphere! It means to hold back great pain and bite your teeth After reading this book, I also understand the characteristics of the main characters here. Tang Monk: with compassion, he wants to worship the Buddha and seek scri ptures. He spared no effort and is strict and persistent, but sometimes he is a little stubborn in dealing with problems. Wukong: kill demons and demons. They have golden eyes and want to protect master. Sometimes they think they are right and don't listen to master. Bajie: I listen to master's words. I'm most afraid of exploring the way. I'm often teased by Wukong, and I'm a little greedy for money and lust and lazy. Monk Sha: loyal, honest, clever, obedient, hardworking and steady, wholeheartedly abide by the Buddhist commandments with Tang Monk and senior brothers, and be steadfast, upright and selfless. Finally, the four masters and disciples persevered, trekked through mountains and rivers all the way, experienced the difficulties of September 81, stepped into the Buddhism and achieved the correct results of true Sutra cultivation. This is just like reading. If we read a few chapters every day, we will overcome all laziness, improve our writing level, and finally achieve results!。

Gone with the Wind, first published in May 1936, is a romance novel written by Margaret Mitchell, who won the Pulitzer Prize for the book in 1937. The story is set in Clayton County, Georgia and Atlanta during the American Civil War and Reconstruction. The novel depicts the experiences of Scarlett O'Hara, the spoiled daughter of a wellto-do plantation owner, who must use every means at her disposal to come out of the poverty that she finds herself in after Sherman's March to the Sea. The book is the source of the 1939 film of the same name.
Summary:
The book starts with the heroine of the piece, 17 year old Miss Scarlett O’Hara flirting to the best of her capacity with the handsome Tarleton twins on the porch of Tara, her plantation house home, and berating the seriousness of the impending war because it ruins her capacity to have fun, attend parties and have beaux. I mention this first page because it encapsulates the very nature of the entire novel. Scarlett O’Hara is a spoilt, selfish beauty with enormous power to manipulate men and a desire for the good things in life. Knowing this, you can see why she makes some of her seemingly ridiculous choices throughout the novel

Atlantan Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel of the Civil War and Reconstruction in Georgia, Gone With the Wind occupies an important place in any history of twentieth-century American literature. Dismissed by most academic literary critics for being uneven, flawed, and conventionally written in an age marked by literary experimentation, and attacked by some cultural commentators as promulgating racist myths and undermining the very foundations of its basically feminist paradigm, the best-selling novel of the twentieth century continues to withstand its detractors.
beautiful sentences:
Whatever comes, I’ll love you, just as I do now. Until I die. In spite of you and me and the whole silly world going to pieces around us, I love you. Land is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for. Because it’s the only thing that lasts.
