哲学的历史源远流长，它是一切现代科学的真正精神故乡。现代意义上的哲学是西方产品，包括我们信奉的作为国家信仰的马克思的理论也是西方产品，它只不过是众多理论流派中的一种，并不先天具有排他性的垄断特权。我们应该把视野放开，从众多哲学理论中选取最有价值的部分，而不是预先设定专卖店模式的思想特供。在西方哲学近代的发展中涌现出一批有影响的哲学学术期刊，最近莱特教授就组织了一次问卷调查，根据读者投票数，得出一些世界顶级哲学杂志的排名，见下表:
