反渗透（逆渗透）技术：逆渗透原文是REVERSE OSMOSIS，它是美国太空总署集合多国科学家，在政府支持下，花费数十亿美元，经过多年研究而成。逆渗透的原理是在原水一方施加比自然渗透压力更大的压力，使水分子由浓度高的一方逆渗透到浓度低的一方。由于逆渗透膜的孔径远远小于病例毒和细菌的几百倍乃至上千倍以上，故各种病毒，细菌，重金属，固体可溶物，污染有机物，钙镁离子等根本无法通过逆渗透膜，从而达到水质软化净化的目的。

反渗透半透膜的表皮上布满了许多极细的膜孔，膜的表面选择性的吸附了一层水分子，盐类溶质则被膜排斥，化合价态愈高的离子被排斥愈远，膜孔周围的水分子在反渗透压力的推动作用下，通过膜的毛细血管作用流出纯水而达到除盐目的。RO膜的孔径<1.0nm，因此能滤除最少细菌之一的绿脓杆菌（3000Х10-10m），流感病毒（800Х10-10m），脑膜炎病毒（200Х10-10m等各种病毒，甚至还能滤除热原（10-500Х10-10m）。
