Part C Story time

一、教学内容

故事板块呈现的是Zoom和Zip招聘足球守门员的故事。学生除了复习巩固句型How tall are you? How heavy are you?I’m… He’s bigger than…以外,还可以通过图片和上下文理解新句子:Football needs teamwork.等。

二、教学目标

1、学生通过阅读趣味故事复习巩固本单元所学语言,能够理解故事内容并增加语言的输入。

2、学生能够按照正确的意群及语音、语调朗读故事;能够分角色自然表演story time的故事。

3、培养学生的团队合作精神,渗透团结就是力量的思想。

三、教学重点、难点

1、复习巩固句型How tall are you? How heavy are you? I’m…

He’s bigger than…

2、通过图片和上下文理解新句子:Football needs teamwork.

四、教学准备

多媒体课件、卡通人物卡片、足球、练习单页。

五、教学环节

Step1 Warm up

(1) Greetings.

(2) Let’s chant.

T: Boys and girls, your voice is so nice, you are strong. I think you can be the football player. What’s this? Do you like football sports? Do you want to know a football team? OK, Let’s enjoy some pictures. [设计意图]在课堂导入环节,教师设计一个节奏感非常强的chant,以此来营造一个轻松愉悦的课堂氛围,激发学生的学习兴趣。chant 内容涉及有关比较级的单词,是本单元的重点词汇,也是对已有知识的复现,为学生新知识的学习做好铺垫。

Step2 Presentation

T: This is a football team. What’s the meaning of team?

Let’s have a look!

Many animals love football team, too. Do you want to know

another team? Who are they? Zoom and Zip.

[设计意图]在此环节设计一组有关足球的图片,以此引出football team这一词组,并用图片的形式,帮助学生理解team的意思。They want to make a football team too. But they need a member. What do they need?

1.Watch and choose

What do they need? -----Football player?goalkeeper?

2. Who wants to be the goalkeeper?

Let’s find out from P1.

[设计意图]通过看故事视频,学生对故事进行整体感知,并回答“What

do they need?”这一问题。以此来引出本节课的核心词汇goalkeeper。继续对学生进行提问“Who wants to be the goalkeeper?”帮助学生梳理故事中的人物。以此来学习图片1中的内容。

3. Can they be the goalkeeper? Why?

Let’s go and have a look!

⑴Look, the first one is Mr. Deer.

Zoom: How tall are you?

Deer: I’m 1.8 meters.

Zip: How heavy are you?

Deer: I’m 86 kilograms.

Yes, he is not tall and heavy. Can he be the goalkeeper?

(2) OK. Who is the next one? Mr. Zebra.

Oh, look! Is he tall? He is ten centimeters taller than Mr. Deer. Is he stronger? Yes. He is stronger. Can he be the goalkeeper? Why?

He can’t catch the ball.

(3) Mr. Giraffe: I’m the tallest one.

Oh! Is he OK? Why?

The others can’t reach him. Football needs teamwork. Do you know teamwork?

(4)T: Let’s act it out! I’m Zip, who wants to be Zoom? Mr. Deer? Mr. Giraffe?

This time, it’s your turn. Please practice in your group. Y ou are a

team now!

[设计意图]Picture2,3 and 4是整个故事的重点部分。教师首先抛出一个问题:Can they be the goalkeeper? 学生带着问题整体聆听这个板块,然后逐步对此进行深究他们不能成为守门员的重要原因。Football needs teamwork. 并借助足球精彩传球视频,让学生理解teamwork 的含义,然后让学生表演这部分的对话。

(5)They all can’t be the goalkeeper. What should they do ? Don’t worry! Do you notice the big guy? Hippo!

(6)Can he be the goalkeeper? Let’s listen P5 and P6.

Why? He is almost bigger than the goal. Is he an excellent goalkeeper? Do you notice the word? “excellent”? What’s the meaning of the word? It means great!

[设计意图] 本故事的最后两幅图,出现了一个新人物,通过对人物的简单介绍,引出单词big guy.然后让学生带着问题“Can he be the goalkeeper?” 整体聆听两幅图画。最后分析Hippo能够成为守门员的原因。
