历史沿革代尔夫特理工大学（TUD）由荷兰国王威廉二世始建于1842年1月8日，时名为“皇家工程学院”。
1905年5月22日，其更名为代尔夫特高等技术学院，由此成为一个学术和教育机构，在此期间学生人数大约有450人。
起初所有学校建筑都坐落在代尔夫特市中心，而于20世纪中叶被分化到了专门的大学区域。

这是一本关于荷兰的建筑刊物，我们先来聊聊工作室与荷兰的关系。
我们在2012—2015年期间就读于荷兰贝尔拉格建筑学院。
贝校创立于20世纪80年代末90年代初，当时荷兰处于福利国家的背景之中，学校办学经费主要由荷兰政府拨款，因此有别于其他公立建筑学院，贝校的办学体制相对独立自主。
在创始人赫尔曼·赫茨伯格(Herman Hertzberger)看来，创办教育的目的并非培养面面俱到、掌握精湛工程技能的建筑师，而是在全球化背景下，能意识到社会、经济、政治多方面因素影响，具有独立思辨能力的综合型人才。
赫茨伯格、增西利斯以及维尔·阿雷兹先后担任贝尔拉格的校长，得益于这一批建筑师的声望，贝尔拉格在创办早期吸引了一大批知名的建筑师学者来校讲学，使其一跃成为当时欧洲建筑学教育的前沿阵地。
[注：贝校早年教育体系可见朱亦民老师《贝尔拉格学院——从蒙台梭利乐园到校园》一文]而就在笔者就读之际，荷兰政府忽然中止了办学经费资助，贝校被迫与代尔夫特理工大学合并，我们也就成了两校联合办学的第一届学生。
从独立院校转为公立院校，教育模式转型带来的影响：一方面，贝校似乎还在维系原有小规模，研究型的教育传统。
但同时带来的改变是，也不再恪守一直以来泾渭分明的价值观阵营（如Pier Vittorio Aureli 主导的一系列城市课题），而变成了一片建筑学科讨论的“飞地”——不同的观点开始出现，肆意生长，呈现出一种自由松散的教学氛围。
在笔者就读期间，贝校的工作坊涉及荷兰基础设施、埃及国家规划、景观参数化、社交媒体等不同的议题。
给笔者的感受是，在分散的议题面前，不少学生会出现手足无措而失去方向；但另一方面，在多元文化和价值观冲突之下，也能接触到一些平时很少涉及的话题与方法论。
