《Unit 9 How many?》教学设计一、指导思想与理论依据《小学英语课程标准》明确指出,小学英语教学主要目的是使学生获得初步运用英语进行交际的能力。

而小学英语会话教学课堂是培养学生语言交际能力的重要阵地。

根据《小学英语课程标准》的要求,会话教学应从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验出发,注重培养学生的听、说能力,注重从听入手,培养学生说的能力,并能用英语做事情。

新课程改革倡导让学生学会学习,学会合作,倡导学生主动参与的教育教学理念,这一理念凸显了学生的主体地位。

在会话教学中,注重学生的实践,倡导在真实的语言环境中体验并操练语言。

二、教学背景分析1.教学内容:本课为北师大版北京市义务教育课程改革实验教材二年级下第九单元Unit 9 How many?的第三课时内容,分为talk together,sounds and letters,listen to this和listen and write两个练习。

Talk together中的对话是Wang Ling在询问Ken家房间及人物的数量,是课堂调查活动的片段,主要的句型为How many…are there? There is/are…. Sounds and letters部分呈现了字母s和z在单词中的发音,呈现的单词也较简单。

因此在本课时我将把Talk together中的对话作为重点教学,并将listen to this的听力材料进行改编。

2.学生情况:二年级的学生在一年级时学习过one to ten的数字表述以及How many?句型,能够运用句型进行简单的询问和回答学生乐于参与课堂,能够与老师配合默契。

在口语表达方面,学生能用英语进行问候,能对物品进行简单的描述,已基本养成了用英语表达、交流的习惯。

三、技术准备:教材、配套光盘、自制课件、自制单词卡、句子卡、自制单词翻翻卡四、教学目标1.能够理解对话内容,模仿、表演对话;2.能够在相应的情景中询问或说明日常生活中常见物品的个数;3.能够初步运用How many…are there?及There is/are….句型进行询问和调查;4.通过对话的学习,培养学生乐于观察及善于合作的意识和习惯。

You will need:
flashcards for this Unit
a sheet of drawing paper and crayons or colored pencils.
1.Review
Review the flashcards for the numbers one through ten. Hold up a flashcard so that the children see the numeral. Elicit the name, for example, five. Then turn the flashcard around. Point to the name, five. Have the children read it. Repeat for the other number flashcards.
Hold up the flashcard for birds. Ask, “What are these?” Elicit, “They’re
b irds.” Repeat for the other flashcards.
2.Talk together
Student Book page 30
Ask each child to take out a sheet of paper and crayons. Then have each child write a number at the top of their paper.
Explain that you want them to draw a number of objects to match the number they have on their page. Tell them that the objects must have an English name they have learnt. For example, a child might draw seven ducks.
Now have the children form groups of three. Ask one child to hold up his or her pictur e. Have a second child ask, “How many (ducks)are there?” A third child answers, “There are (four).” Have the children change roles.
Have the children turn to page 30. Direct their attention to the picture on the top of the page. Say, “Now we can read what we said.”
Display your copy of the page. Read the words in the speech bubbles aloud to the class, touching each word as you say it.
Then have the children repeat the words after you. Encourage them to touch each word in their books as they say it.
Now put the children into pairs. Have them role??play the dialog using the pictures at the right hand.
3.Listen and Number

Direct the children’s attention to the bottom half of the page. Explain that they are going to listen to 4 car licence plates.
Say, “Look at the plates. Point to the numbers you hear as you listen to the tape.”
Play the tape, one number at a time. It is important to watch that the children point to the correct numbers.
Play the tape a second time, one sentence at a time. This time have the children number the pictures in the boxes as they hear.
4.Sounds and letters
Student Book page 31
Draw the children’s attention to the top of the page.
Play the tape for snake, salad, six and sun. Ask, “Do t hese words have the sound /s/?”
Play the tape again and have the children say the words aloud.
Repeat the procedure for the /z/words.
5.Listen and write
Student Book page 31
Have the children look at the two rows of pictures at the bottom of the page. Show your own copy of the page.
Play the tape of seven. Have children touch the matching picture on their books.
Now point to the word under the picture. Say, “Which letter is missing?” Elicit the correct letter name from the children.
Play the tape again. This time have the children write the missing letter on the line to complete the word.
Repeat the procedure to finish other pictures and words.
6.Set homework

Tell the children that you want them to color the pictures on page 31.。
