我最喜欢的英文书简爱英语作文Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Bronte, is my favorite English book. The story follows the life of Jane Eyre, a young orphan who grows up to become a governess and falls in love with her employer, Mr. Rochester. The novel is a classic of English literature and has been beloved by readers for generations. The reason I love Jane Eyre is because of the strong and independent character of the protagonist. Jane is a woman who fights for her own rights and desires, despite the social norms of her time. Her resilience and determination in the face of adversity are truly inspiring. Additionally, the novel explores themes of love, morality, and the search for identity, which are all timeless and relatable.Another aspect of Jane Eyre that I adore is the beautiful and evocative writing style of Charlotte Bronte. Her descriptions of the English countryside and the emotions of her characters are vivid and powerful. The novel is a pleasure to read, and I often find myself lost in its pages, captivated by the story and the language.Overall, Jane Eyre is a timeless classic that has captured my heart. It is a story of love, strength, and the pursuit ofhappiness, and I believe it will continue to resonate with readers for many years to come.简爱,这本由夏洛蒂·勃朗特创作的小说,是我最喜欢的英文书。

Jane Eyre ’s Attitude toward Life○Li Jing(Huhhot Vocational College ,Huhhot ,Inner Mongolia ,010051)[Abstract ]Jane Eyre ,written by Charlotte Bront e ''(1816-1855),is one of the greatest works in English litera-ture.By narrating the story in the form of autobiography of the heroine —Jane Eyre ;by describing the daily life of the hero-ine ,the psyche of the heroine ,the natural scenery filtered through the heroine ’s eyes and dialogues ;and by tracing chan-ges in Jane ’s life experience and maturation of her mind ,Charlotte Bront e ''successfully shows Jane Eyre ’s self -respect and her love for life. The revelation of Jane Eyre ’s attitude toward life has its historical and modern significance. It is an encouragement to women who strive for equality and independence not only in her day but also in this age.[Key words ]attitude toward life ;self -respect ;independent spirit[中图分类号]I106.4[文献标识码]A [文章编号]1672-8610(2010)09-0057-03Jane Eyre ,as one of the greatest works in the world ,hasbeen read widely. The heroine ’s common and uncommon life ex-periences attract a large number of readers ,and the spirit glow-ing in it strikes us deeply. It is about a girl ’s process of growth and struggle. Her name is Jane Eyre. The story is set on the 19th century ’s England when and where the Inheritance of Prop-erty and the charity schools were popular. With the vivid de-scription and inviting arrangement of plot ,Charlotte Bronte ,the author of this novel ,secretly and silently presents a kind of up -ward and independent spirit which directs the growth and matura-tion of heroine ’s life attitude in her work. That is to be self -respect ,and then to be full of love toward life.In this paper ,Jane Eyre ’s personality and the change of her attitude toward life are discussed and meanwhile how the au-thor successfully makes these things clear to the readers is re-vealed.The focus is mainly on the devices of narration employed by the author. They are the form of narration ,the depiction of details The social significance of Jane Eyre ’s independent spirit is also a major concern of this paper. The work is Jane Eyre ’s autobiography. This obviously is the writer ’s favorite form of narration. In this way ,the writer puts Jane Eyre ’s life and interval world directly and nakedly in front of its readers so that we can observe the heroine ’s whole life freely and seemingly really ,and feel her feelings by our-selves naturally as if Jane were sitting with us face to face and told her story. We can judge her attitude toward her life experi-ence by her tone ,the diction.Through Jane ’s plain and frank tone in her narration ,we can feel her positive attitude toward life and also the confidence in her own worth. Thus the writer makes her life attitude clearer. The last sentence of Chapter Four can give a good illustration.“Even for me life had its gleams of sun-shine.”That is the summary she makes of her mostly miserablelife and the rare comfort she gets from a servant on her last eve-ning living in Gateshead ,her aunt ’s home. The word “even ”shows the tone of both frankness and rejoicing. It can be para-phrased as this :even for me ,an orphan hated by all the masters in the house that had been my only shelter ,life still shows one light of hope.Frankness is her attitude toward her unfortunate life ,and the rejoicing is her hopeful attitude toward her unfortu-nate life. The former is self -respect ,and the latter is love to-ward life.Actually ,love toward life can also be regarded as an aspect of self -respect.To respect ourselves ,we should cherish our lives and strive to live a good life ,regardless of good condi-tions or bad ones.Of course ,admitting the reality that some-times isn ’t very satisfactory and accepting it calmly can also be seen as an aspect of self -respect.The main tone of narration is of this kind.In this way ,Charlotte endows her work with invisi-ble power ,which holds the readers ’attention from the beginning to the very end.In Jane ’s struggle against life ,her life details ,her feelings and viewpoints toward her life together form a kind of life attitude that is mentioned above ,and the life attitude experience a process of growth and maturation under the direction of her inde-pendent spirit. Her experience of life can be divided into five periods according to the places she had stayed just like a play. They are Gateshead ,Lowood ,Thornfield ,Moor House and Ferndean. The analysis of this part will be done according to this sequence. The first scene happened at Gateshead.Happy ones enjoy their happiness in similar ways ,while un-happy ones suffer in a variety of ways.Jane ’s fate is discribed to the latter category. As a child ,she had no parents. As an orphan adopted by her uncle ’s family ,she had no uncle ,but the cruel and merciless aunt and cousins. Thus Jane ’s tragic life—75—语文学刊·外语教育教学2010年第9期opens before us.With her aunt and cousins enjoining their time together, she stayed alone in another room, reading a book. She couldn’t still understand it completely, but she managed to find interest in the pictures in it.The poor-born and lonely girl is trying to find the pleasure in life. The writer builds a compare here, and through the girl’s active and seemingly uncommon be-haviors,she puts us in facing a question:why Jane isn’t de-pressed?Naturally we feel a kind of upward power, which is the power of life, while the power originates from the attitude toward life. The attitude is that she loves her life passionately. When she would go to a new environment, her aunt,Mrs.Reed slandered her before her future patron. So she made a com-plete,although blunt, pour for her resentments to her aunt. The maltreatment, the destroying of her reputation and the probable damage of her coming new future made Jane will never forgive her.At same time, her words spur the conscience of the aunt. She is poor and has no position, but she is her niece. She should at least get her just treatment and mercy,if not love.Again the writer, through a detail of daily life, expresses the life attitude of Jane,to be full of love toward life, also to be self-respective.As a weak girl, she fought for the reverence of her life, and she struggle for a meaningful life.Jane is just cherishing her life and defending the value of her life.Because she is a child, her way is somewhat childish. Her burst can neither get for her love from the aunt nor her reputation from her future patron. So the life at-titude is still immature. Her thoughts are a little bit radical. As a writer of critic realism,Charlotte is trying to present the internal state of the heroine in such a way that it must experience a process of growth during her lifetime. This makes her attitude to-ward life more real. The first part is about Jane’s life in Gateshead. The depic-tion is mainly laid on the daily life and psychology. The following part is about the most important period in Jane’s growth. There she met two persons who gave the greatest help to her life. One of them is Helen Burns. She,like a meteor in Jane’s world, shoots before Jane’s eye quickly, but leaves her light in Jane’s heart forever.Helen was a pious Christian in the work. She considered all the matters around her in a Christian way, which included the persuasion to Jane.As a western writer,Charlotte’s mind is naturally influenced by her native culture, which includes the religion—Christianity. Here she borrows the goodness in Christianity to motivate the growth of the life attitude. After the burst of acerbic words,Jane had regretted and been afflicted. It is Helen’s silence and calmness before punishment that was often rendered to them for the reason that can’t be called reason that shocked her greatly.Helen’s attitude toward insult and slander affect her deeply.Be-ing able to be tolerant, and then to correct her own behaviors shows remarkable growth of Jane’s attitude toward life.Love life, one should love the world and the people around you.To life a happy life, one should have a kind heart.Toward them that hurt you,the proper allowance sometimes is needed. After all kindness is of human being’s goodness. This is echoed in fol-lowing part that she forgives her aunt when she is in her death-bed,despite her aunt refuses to reconcile with her.The other important person is Miss Temple. She is her teacher, friend and mother.Modeled on her,Jane became a knowledgeable and versatile lady during a time of eight years. The knowledge makes Jane’s life attitude get a higher level. She know more how lovable the life is and how to respect her life.By the introduction of the two characters into Jane’s life and the description of the most critical period in Jane’s growth, the writer demonstrates the mutual of the life attitude. In the strict and severe institution, she didn’t bend toward the superi-ors and the bad conditions, instead she observed her new envi-ronment calmly, and find the people who has the cherish thoughts and right conducts that worthy of learning by her.Through the description of Jane’s growth, the writer con-veys the development of the life attitude. The third, forth and fifth part are full of the depiction of natural scene, psychology, dialogues and daily life which vividly show her way of life conducted by her life attitude.Every youth who love their life will not satisfy with one kind of formularized life. They aspire to freedom and the outer world unknown by them.Jane is no exception. She went to the Thorn-field as a governess to her will. Before her love appeared, she felt the silent house with Mrs.Fairfax as her only companion is another fetter for.“I climbed the three staircases, raised the trap-door of the attic, and having reached the leads, looked out afar over seques-tered field and hill, and along dim sky-line that then I longed for power of vision which might overpass that limit;which might reach the busy world, towns, regions full of life I had heard of but never seen.”The combined description of nature scene and psychology obviously reflect the curiousness and eagerness to the unknown world. It is forced by the love toward life.Love is the eternal theme of human being. This work is no exception. The following part of the novel is mainly about the love between Jane and Mr.Rochester.Someone has said that people will give up all their self-respect before love. But Jane is an exception.Through the description of the dialogues between Jane and Mr.Rochester and the psychology of Jane, the writer shows us how the charm of self-respect in the heroine’s heart gained her love and then how it faces the love. She was very frank.Because of her poor growth environ-ment,she did hardly received presents, and she was a newcom-er,so her work couldn’t make a prize for her.She knew her sit-uation clearly, and she dealt with them calmly. This is the result of her self-respect.It is the right point that impress on Mr.Rochester.It illustrates the saying:one who respects himself will obtain other’s respect. As the love arrived, the self-respect seemed become an obstacle.Having been compared with Miss Ingram, she hadn’t the courage to strive for her love. There was a feverish confliction in her heart. Here the writer introduces a description of Jane’s psychology to show how she swayed between love and self-respect.As the truth was revealed, she bravely accepted the love from Mr.Rochester, because she respects life, and she respects love. Then there was a large part for the narration of their life.Dramatically, their life was somewhat torture for Mr.Rochester instead of happiness.Jane kept a distance from him,and refused—85—LITERATURE Li Jing/Jane Eyre’s Attitude toward Lifehis abundant presents as possible as she can. That is her repre-sentation of independent spirit. She didn’t want to depend on her beloved, and also kept a respect for herself.Every good thing is twisted, and their love is no exception. The appearance of Mrs.Rochester—Mason killed their marriage in its cradle.Jane’s self-respect forced her leave Thornfield. Her love didn’t wane, but she could stay with him no longer. Her self-respect warned her continuingly that she might become another mistress.Life in Moor House was full of peace and gaiety. She met another man—St.John who wanted to marry to Jane just for his religious cause.Shocked by his attitude toward love, she felt the preciousness of true love, and also her independent spirit can’t leave her to live for another one.Her love to life within her deep heart made her decision to return to Thornfield to find her love.Charlotte makes the life attitude experience the testing of love and the result is that the faith and spirit hasn’t changed and the life attitude is sublimated. It makes the love to life more pure.It makes the passion to life break off the fetter of worldly conventions. All of this is the result of her independent spirit. The depiction of daily life, psychology, nature scene in her-oine’s eye and the dialogues are the spiritual component of this novel, they are filled with the author’s thoughts.Through the descriptions, she illustrates the growth and maturation of life atti-tude clearly and realistically, and the heroine’s independent spirit that motivates and causes the change is mainly the thing that the author wants to express. As the writer criticize the society, she set up a model for people who were lost in it,and made a direction in people’s way of life by her heroine’s active life attitude, and the women who wanted equality, but suppressed by the whole society.Since the publication of the book of Jane Eyre,it has in-spired generations of youth.Today,it still shines and warms the lost people’s heart.Although the society is of different kind, the spirit is unchangeable from ancient time to now.The youth who are too proud to find a suitable position in the society,or even are unsatisfied with the society, the youth who are too self-a-based to find the life belonging to them, and then lost them-selves,and the youth who are at loss in the society, all can get some revelation in it.In the two ways—the form of narration with its depiction of details(life and natural scenes),the psyche of the heroine re-vealed through dialogues, the writer elucidates the kind of life at-titude that is marked by self-respect and love for life.Jane Eyre’s attitude toward life experiences a process of growth and enrichment,in a realistic way, which includes the formation of virtues, the attitude toward honor and insult, the attitude toward life and death, and the attitude toward love. Finally, the author shows us the independent spirit in the change of her life attitude, which influences millions of her readers ranging from youth in their growth to all the women who can’t get an equal treatment in the society from ancient time till now.Let the great work’s light shine in everyone’s life voyage.【References】[1]Charlotte Bront e''.Jane Eyre[M].Modern China This thesis discusses the charactersof Jane in the social background of realism. It includes JaneEyre’s pursuit of love and her pursuit of liberty and equality. Jane is neithera very beautiful woman, nor rich, but her genuine, selfless love forRochester, and her good personality strike us deeply. On the other hand,we should see the author’ s limitation. In that society, it is impossiblefor Jane and Rochester to be really equal in social class. They are justequal in spirit. They get together because Rochester has been blinded bythe fire and has lost his wealth at the end of the novel. Therefore, theyget married on the condition that their gap of social classes narrows. However, We should learn her virtue. We should pursue our ideals and haveour opinions about everything. Jane Eyre sets a good example for womenand is a good model for women forever.Key words: Jane Eyre; Charlotte Bronte; Rochester; Criticalrealism; critical realistsContents摘要……………………………………………………………………….. .IAbstract …..………………………………………………………………… (II)1 The author and JaneEyre ………………………………………………...……..2 2 The development of Jane Eyre’scharacter ………………………………..…….4 3 The characters of Jane Eyre ………………………………………………...……....6 3.1 Jane Eyre’s attitude towardslove ……..………………………………………….6 3.1.1 Jane’s pursuit of truelove (6)3.1.2 The age issue between Jane andRochester……………………………....……..8 3.1.3 The importance of honesty inlove ……..………………....………………. 9 3.2 Jane Eyre’s pursuit of liberty andequality ………………..…………………… 10 3.2.1 The equality of social classes between Jane andRochester (10)3.2.2 The equality between man andwoman (11)Conclusions………………………………………………………………...………...13Acknowledg ements (14)Bibliography ...…………………………………………………………… (15)《简爱》是现实主义时期著名的女作家夏洛蒂—勃朗特的代表作品。

The protagonist of the novel, Jane Eyre, is a complex and multi-dimensional character who represents the changing values and aspirations of the Victorian era. Her personality is marked by a combination of virtues and flaws that reflect her social background, educational experiences, and personal struggles. This paper analyzes the character traits of Jane Eyre in terms of her personality, social circumstances, and relationships with other characters.Personality AnalysisJane Eyre is characterized by a strong and determined personality that is based on her sense of morality, justice, and independence. She is portrayed as a highly intelligent and perceptive individual who is capable of critical thinking, articulate expression, and creative imagination. She is also resilient and resourceful, as she is able to overcome the obstacles and challenges that she faces in her life. Her moral compass is guided by her Christian values, which emphasize the importance of honesty, kindness, and compassion.Social Circumstances AnalysisJane Eyre's social circumstances are shaped by her status as an orphan and a governess, both of which place her in a vulnerable and marginalized position in the social hierarchy. She grows up in poverty and isolation, without the love and guidance of a family. Her education is marked by strict discipline and harsh treatment, which instills in her a sense of self-reliance and self-respect. As a governess, she is subjected to the arbitrary and often cruel rules of her employers, who treat her as a servant and a subordinate.Relationship AnalysisJane Eyre's relationships with other characters are central to her development and transformation throughout the novel. However, their relationship is also marked by secrets, lies, and misunderstandings that threaten to undermine their trust and love for each other. 简爱读后感英文1As Jane Eyre, in her plainness and solitude, walks to and fro in the Thornfield Hall, her unfortunate childhood, conflicting love, and religious forbiddance all cannot stop her seeking a better life and cherishing the human nature. She broke loose the chains that jailed her spirit, and through her struggles she overcame the poverty, customs, social standards, and piety which all blocked her from her dream of happiness, and finally became the master of herself! It could be said that Jane's life was earned through retaliation and pursuit, that she fought tooth and nail until the sunlight was won. The sunlight now in her palm, shines brightly unto her!In fact, one has endless thoughts for the most effulgent sunbeam that shines after the storm. I always think in a difficult situation, if and when the hardships of this life is done, if and when the road of time no longer curves, if and when I try my best to walk to the end, will I be able to see the blinding sunlight? For the most important meaning in life is that, struggling through your trials you realize the value of your life, while taking away all the bitter misfortunes. Only then will we see the true radiance of the golden sun...简爱读后感英文2Jane Eyre was published in 1847 under the androgynous pseudonym of “Currer Bell.” The publication was followed b y widespread success. Utilizing two literary traditions, the Bildungsroman and the Gothic novel, Jane Eyre is a powerful narrative with profound themes concerning genders, family, passion, and identity. It is unambiguously one of the most celebrated novels in British literature.Born in 1816, Charlotte Bronte was the third daughter of Patrick Bronte,an ambitious and intelligent clergyman. According to Newsman, all the Bronte children were unusually precocious and almost ferociously intelligent, and their informal and unorthodox educations under their father's tutelage nurtured these traits. Patrick Bronte shared his interests in literature with his children, toward whom he behaved as though they were his intellectual equals. The Bronte children read voraciously. Charlotte's imagination was especially fired by the poetry of Byron, whose brooding heroes served as the prototypes for characters in the Bronte's juvenile writings as well as for such figures as Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre 。

A brief introduction of the author and background.2.1 A brief introduction of the authorCharlotte Bronte(1816-1854) was born on April 21 1816, third of the six children of Patrick Bronte. The major event of her young life was the death of her mother in 1821, which created a lot of chaos. In 1824, Charlotte and her two older sisters, Maria and Elizabeth, were sent to the newly-opened Cowan Bridge Clergy Daughters' School. Conditions there were bad even by the standards of the time, and it was not long before both Maria and Elizabeth became ill enough to be sent home, where they both died of consumption in the spring of1825. Patrick brought Charlotte and her younger sister Emily, who had recently joined them at the school, back home as soon as the other girls became ill, but Charlotte in particular never forgot what the school had been like.Charlotte's next adventure was going to school in Brussels with Emily in 1842. Charlotte's time there was brief, less than two years, but it led to her eventual writing of Villette beginning in 1852.Back home, Charlotte lapsed into chronic unemployment and severe hypochondria, actually thinking she was going blind, just like her father was. In 1846 the three sisters published a book of Poems, and though sales were very slow, the reviews weregood and spurred on further literary endeavors. Charlotte's novel of this time, The Professor, was actually rather bad, suffering from a less-than believable main character. In August of 1846 Charlotte began work on Jane Eyre. Though it was published in 1847, Charlotte didn't tell her father about it until the next year, when the novel's success was plain. Jane Eyre is a classic literature masterpieces of Charlotte Bronte’s of the British in the 19th century.2.2 Background“Jane Eyre is a classical work produced in Victorian time by Charlotte Bronte. This novel has attracted widely attention and discussions for over 150 years after its publishment”. 张伯香.英美文学选读.[M] 外语教学与研究出版社1999年版. On the surface, Jane Eyre is a love story about a poor young woman Jane Eyre and a rich man Mr. Rochester. But when we read it carefully, we can find out much deeper connotation, and we can understand that this work is not only a simple love story, but also reflects some social situations. Especially was the problem of the relationship between women and the traditional morality in Victorian time. In this novel, Bronte expresses strong dissatisfaction for females’ unequal social status, and Jane Eyre was her own embodiment to resist the oppression of the social traditional morality and to break the ag e’s fetter. And this novel also reflects that at that time, women have been already realized they should struggle for their independence of spirit and equal rights on many aspects in the social life. This thesis according to expounding the females’ situati ons under the traditional morality in Victorian age and the analysis of heroine’s behavior and thinking which broke the traditional morality at that time in Jane Eyre, to find the appearance of feminine consciousness and the demands of women for having equal social status like men in society and getting independence of life and spirit. Jane Eyre is a famous work written by Charlotte Bronte, and this novel was published in 1847 and became an immediate success. This thesis will research the “unwomanly” character of the heroine under the Victorian traditional morality. ”胡珊珊Analysis of Jane Eyre Purpose and Significance of study[J]2010 第四期All ofJane’s behaviors showed her difference from traditional morality. In such a period, a little girl struggled for h er equal rights in her guardian’s family, a student made efforts to improve the living condition of school, a young governess pursued her real love and refused the proposal of the man she did not love. All of these behaviors disobeyed the traditional moral ity in Victorian age. She broke the model of “angel in the house” throughout her life. Her “unwomanly” character was also showed obviously.3. The love view of Jane from following perspectives3.1 The analysis of Jane’s Love View from Jane’s independent charactersWhen Jane was a litter girl, she was so unlucky and depended on others. she had no friend, whatever she did, she just do it by herself. So she built up independent character on everything from her young age. Mrs.Reed did not allow her children to associate with Jane, so, she had ever said:“They are not fit to associate with me” These words is the best illustrated fact that she is an independent girl in her inner world, including love. Jane pursues happiness, looking forward to get happiness and achieve the true love. In her inner world, she wishes that she can communicate with others’ sincerity, not rather than rely on others to love or belong to others. She has her own soul. She wants to control the master of her spirit, stick to her own personality dignity. When Mrs Fairfax knew that Jane and Rochester had fallen in love and prepared to get married, Mrs Fairfax thinks its unbelievable, she just says some words:“he has Do you belive him? Have you accept him? Mrs Fairfax looked at me bewildered I could have thought it He is a proud man all Rochesters were proud : and his father at least, liked money. After a later Mrs Fairfax repeated :‘Equality of position and fortune is often advisable in such cases, and there are twenty years of difference in yourages .He might almost be your father’”. 《简爱》p388-389 From Mrs Fairfax’s words, it is easy to know that Jane and Rochester is not match. Their love would not have a good result because of the difference of the position and status. But Jane give me a sur prise with her answer, she said: “No, indeed , he is nothing like my father! No one, who saw us together, would suppose it for an instant.” 《简爱》p390. From m Mrs Jane’s words, it is easy to know that Jane never care their positions, ages and status. In his eyes, she and Rochester, they are equal, they love each other so deeply. She believe that their love will be last forever. So, no matter what happened, Jane always live independently. Later, she met her cousin, St. John. St. John hopes that Jane should marry him, and help him to finish the religious career and god’s mission. Because there is no love between them. So Jane refuses St. John. She needs truly love, not mission. In England, religion always plays a very important role. But Jane was able to break the shackles of religion, and pursue the independent love and independent world. So we have to say, Jane was an independent girl. Unfortunately, everything is not always smooth sail. When Jane knew that Rochester had got married, At that moment, she said:“Mr Roc hester I must leave you, I must leave you. I must part with you for my whole life. I must begin a new existence among strange faces and strange scenes”.《简爱》p449 From Jane’s these words, we know that true love just belong to two people, it not contain the third person to share their love. Even though Jane loves Rochester so much. But at last, she would rather choose to give up. Because Jane pursue love which is a kind of independent love, not become someone else’s shadow. we can easily know from Jane’s leavin g that Jane advocates independence of love, pursue the independent personality dignity. “However, I could not help ask that only this step can prove that does Jane is a independent girl. I don’t think so, after all, female independence needs a great courag e, it is a long and complex course.” 张颖刘妍胡珊珊浅析《简爱》中的女性主义精神[J] 2011 第十期It needs more courage to give up loves. I think it is the most important step to gain free and independence. Jane’s independent love had become theclassical example of independent female. So I hope this world would appear many Janes. No matter she is rich or poor, I hope they can live strongly and independently.3.2 The analysis of Jane’s Love View form her Strong-willedJane was a weak and short girl, but she has a strong heart and soul. she has no mony, position, and status. But sha has extremely personal temperament and very rich emotional world. After the temper of life, she abandoned the natural weak of female and cowardice which belongs to many females. Then Jane developed the strong and independent personal characters gradually. When she was a young girl, she lived with her aunt. They treated Jane badly, they often brings force on her. But Jane never willing to accept any insult, instead struggling to them try her best. Even though the result are not satisfactory, but she never give up sticking to her own opinion. When Jane leaves her aunt’s home and comes into school, Mr. Brocklehursts said:“this girl, this child, the native of a Christian land, worse than many a little heathen who says its prayers to Brahma and kneels before Juggernaut -- this girl is --a big lairs!” 简爱P92 Facing the cold and cruel of Mr. Brocklehursts, Jane has no feeling of fear, instead Jane calmly accepted it. She developed the strong, self-esteem, and independent personal characters through a series of unlucky things. Which arouse her infinite courages and indomitable spirits. She did not lose hope. Instead, she becomes strong and independent to face the irregularly scheduled unlucky things. Even though she never lose personal pure characters.“ Jane clearly knew that she had no beautiful appearance and noble position and status, so she must study hard. She try her best to study all courses, including music,French and art. She clearly knew, as a person, you can have no beautiful appearance, many many money, noble position and status, but you can not have no personal ideas and personal dignity.李佳欣杨柳论<简爱>所诠释的独特女性人格魅力[J] 2012 第三期In her aunt’s home, in order to maintain her dignity, even she resisted aunt’s opinions or fight with her cousin. All of her actions are the best illustrated fact that she is an independent and strong girl in herinner world. After reading Jane Eyre, she choose to be resolute when suffering from maltreat and insult.I appreciated J ane’s strong and independent personal characters and self-esteem which shows in facing the noble and elegant person and upper class. All people loved the spirits of self-esteem and strong of Jane when she fell into love. All people admired her courage of leaving Mr Rochester because she was unwilling to be a love puppet. All people appreciated her brave personal character, in order to find truly love, she climbed the hills and went across the rivers to find Mr Rochester. Which find in who dare to could put themself in danger in order to find truly love. At Thornfield, she was not feel Self-abasement because of she profession on the contrary, she thinks they are equal. Mr Rochester was infatuated with her and love her deeply from his inner heart. Mr Rochester rather likes Jane’s elf-esteem, independent and strong personal characters.“Her character attracts so many reader, so many women regard her as an example ” 张颖刘妍胡珊珊自卑:简爱鲜明的人格特征.[J] 2011 第十期In other words, there is no Jane’s elf-esteem, independent and strong personal characters, there is no the pure and special love between Jane and Rochester.3.3 The analysis of Jane’s Love View from Rebellious spirit of Jane The Rebellious spirit of Jane is natural. When Jane was a litter girl, she lives with her aunt who was very hate her, so they treat badly to her, even screw and beat her. So rebellion came naturally to her heart, when facing unfair treatment which comes from her cousin and her aunt.“After so many unfair treatment She never feel scare and intend to retreat. Instead, she chooses to resist”.谭蒙革.简爱女性独立形象分析.[J] 2011年. 第5期Jane had ever said:“I was conscious that a moment’s mutiny had already rendered me liable to strange penalties, and , like any other rebel slave, I felt resolved, in my desperation, to go all lengths.” 刘丽一个时代的女性呐喊与追求[J] 2009 第十期From these words, we know that the revolt has become mainstream in her character, a person want to get freedom, firstly, he must have awareness ofresistance. “After the end of each resistance, my mind had a sense of satisfaction before never appear, a sense of victory began to expand, rising, as if an invisible shackles broke free, finally struggling to slightly have always dreamed of freedom hall.” 刘丽一个时代的女性呐喊与追求[J] 2009 第十期This time I remembered, the real world is a vast field, where people are encouraged to break the resistance. And Jane is such a person. Jane’s consciousness of resistance grow with increasing age when she was a child. She resist injustice and oppression of her aunt and cousins, in schools, in order to prove that she was not a lair, she debated openly with schoolmaster. When she knows Rochester had married, she refused to Rochester’s request without any hesitation. W hen St John wants to possess Jane through the guise of religion, she openly refused St. John’s on behalf of the British religious faction. Jane did these simply searching freedom, for pursuing true love, she oppose religious bondage and control without hesitation.Jane is not a gentlewomen from the aesthetic standards of social lady, but the readers and Mr Rochester love her because of her spirit revolt and the constant pursuit of freedom and equality.“The charm is a very rich vocabulary, a woman was praised the charm, it is apparently much more abundant than simply admire her beauty.”《浅析<简爱>主人公的性格魅力》However, the indomitable character of Jane, the goodness, the pursuit of freedom, the pursuit of true love character of Jane made her become an attractive and charm woman.4. The analysis of Jane’s special and pure love view4.1Love itself is love, it is not relate to religionIn Victorian period of England, critical realism had been on the stage of history, but religion still played a very important role. However, Jane was able to break the traditional ideas of feudalism. She thinks that religion is faith, and it is elusive. As shethought the psalm in the Bible is very boring. She once had such a conversation with headmaster Mr. Brocklehurst before she went to school. From her words, we can draw a conclusion that Jane was against to religion, which can be proved that Jane was not under the influence of England religion. It also can say she dares to struggle change with religion and the word. Later, Jane met her cousin that she never met before, St. John who is a typical representative of traditional literati, with religion as his life career, and live to accomplish the mission of god to live. When he need assistant, Jane appears. So an idea strikes to his mind, namely, he wants Jane to stay with his as a helper, and help him to complete the mission of god. When St.John told this idea to Jane, Jane hesitates because of her kindness. Jane is respect St. John, so she did not want to hurt him. But she also cannot marry to him, she did not want such a result because she did not love John. So Jane was determined to be his helper instead of his wife, but St. John said, :“A part of me you must become”P605.《简爱》Actually St John just wants to possess Jane through the guise of religion so that he has ignoring other’s feeling, and ignored Jane’s idea about love. Jane once said to John.“ I scorn your idea of love, I scorn the counterfeit sentiment you offer:yes St John, and I scorn you when you offer it ”. Finally, Jane refuses John’s request without hesitation and starts to look for her true lo ve. “Because the different opinion of Love I think Jane has refused not only the John's request, but also refused the repression of the feudal moral. Jane, with a thin body and lower identity, in order to seek her own love, she is willing to struggle with feudalism.”于秋谭.简论女性意识在简爱中的体现.[J] 文学评论.2002年第4期. No matter how many difficulties and obstacles she must face, it can not stop her confidence and courage to pursue true love. It's enough to see that how noble and pure the Jane’s love view is, nothing can sto p her to find the pace of love in her heart.4.2 Love itself is love, it is not related to money, power and status. In Jane Eyre, the authors suggests that the basis of marriage is love, not material, money and so on. The failure of the first marriage of Rochester had proved that marriage was not base on material, money and status. And a true love is not depend on any external factors, which are not subject. It just say that Jane get married for love, not because of the material and other factors betray her love. As we all known, Jane is in pursuit of a noble love. In her eyes, love itself is love, it have nothing to do with money, power, and status. In her eyes, love is in each other's heart and it is soul communication. Even though Jane just was a ordinary tutor, but she never give up her love. She thought everyone is equal, everyone has rights to get the true love. When Jane and Rochester decided to get married, Rochester brings Jane to the town, to bought gold and silver jewelry, but it is not make Jane happy, on the contrary, Jane hate these. “Oh sir1—never mind jewels !I don’t like to hear them spoken of. Jewels for Jane Eyre sounds unnatural and strange: I would rather not have them”.From her words , We knows that Jane was not like other woman, who likes to wear jewelry.P381《简爱》Since I had read Jane Eyre,I also dumped for Jane. Like her in high position than her in front of the so-called high society people show the kind of supercilious attitude . Like her in the face of love showed that self-esteem self-improvement of the spirit, I can not help but sigh in the distance she progressed fort he age two hundreds, How many girls have the courage to say not to a beloved and rich man? Jane can be! In her eyes constantly with a kind of independent personality grandeur and noble!Do you think, I am a poor obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! I have as much as you and full as much heat! Each time reading Jane Eyre, I will shock by these words. This is a strong sense of self-release, a sad overarching overcome all overriding intertwined with love force. Form her behaviors and words can show everyone has right to pursue one of their own love. She was not beautiful, humble, but attracting all the people with their own unique qualities. Female and male is equal, only an independent and self-release that did she could get respect, love, and happiness. Rochester would not love Jane if she had not noblepersonality. Jane Eyre is the idol of women generation in that period, her shadow is released into the atmosphere around us, so many people regarded her as a criterion, we all can live the confident and magnanimous, we all can find our true happiness along the fate are given clues. In the today's world, people are crazy about money and status. Choosing rich between the poor and the rich, choosing not love between love and not love. Few people would choose true love and give up everything without any hesitation. Maybe when people have nothing but money, they will go to the pursuit of “true love”. Maybe simplify getting back to basics. Perfusing some truth and warmth in the pursuing true love.It should be regarded as a beautiful life. Please spun off from the hustle and bustle of the glitz of the secular, stop and carefully read of Jane Eyre, and communicating with the soul of Jane Eyre. Jane Eyre is a fairy tale, she makes us believe, as a women who has an independent personality and self-esteem, self-love, self-reliance, even if she is a wild lily, she also have their own pride. Jane slightly love set us an example to inspire modern people pursue the true love.5. Jane Eyre is little, ugly, timid, and is a “little thing” having no clear identity. All the power presses her, strangles her personality. But Jane Eyre is not destroyed by the ugly fact, and she is not over-whelmed by difficulties. On the contrary, she learns how to live and how to be strong. And she has the courage to struggle with the pressure. Jane Eyre cuts a completely new woman image. Books have the magical power to transport us to different worlds, allowing us to experience lives vastly different from our own. Among the countless novels I have devoured, one stands out as my absolute favorite –Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. This timeless classic has captured my heart and imagination in a way no other book has, and I find myself returning to its pages time and time again.Jane Eyre is a novel that defies easy categorization. On the surface, it is a captivating love story that follows the life of its eponymous heroine as she navigates the harsh realities of19th-century England. Yet, beneath the romantic narrative lies a profound exploration of themes such as feminism, social class, and the pursuit of independence – themes that continue to resonate with readers today. What initially drew me to Jane Eyre was the strength and resilience of its protagonist. Jane is an orphan who endures a childhood marked by cruelty and neglect, but she refuses to let her circumstances define her. Despite the numerous obstacles she faces, Jane remains steadfast in her pursuit of dignity and self-respect. Her unwavering determination to carve out her own path in life, even when society dictates otherwise, is truly inspiring. One of the aspects I admire most about Jane is her unwillingness to compromise her principles or settle for a life of subjugation. In a time when women were expected to be meek and submissive, Jane boldly asserts her independence and refuses to be subjugated by the men in her life. Her decision to reject both the marriage proposal of her cousin, St. John Rivers, and the initial advances of Mr. Rochester – her employer and eventual love interest – because they would require her to relinquish her autonomy is a powerful testament to her strength of character.Yet, Jane is not merely a one-dimensional feminist icon. She is a complex, multi-faceted character with flaws and vulnerabilities that make her all the more relatable. Her internal struggles, her moments of doubt and fear, and her yearning forlove and acceptance are what truly humanize her and allow readers to forge a deep connection with her.Alongside Jane's captivating journey, the novel also offers a rich tapestry of supporting characters that add depth and nuance to the narrative. From the enigmatic and brooding Mr. Rochester to the kind-hearted but misguided St. John Rivers, each character plays a pivotal role in shaping Jane's path and challenging her beliefs. One character that has left an indelible mark on me is Helen Burns, Jane's friend from her days at Lowood School. Despite enduring unimaginable hardship and cruelty, Helen maintains a unwavering faith and a gentle, forgiving spirit. Her advice to Jane – "Life appears to me too short to be spent in nursing animosity or registering wrongs" – has stayed with me long after finishing the novel, serving as a poignant reminder to approach life with compassion and grace.Beyond its compelling characters and gripping plot, Jane Eyre is a masterpiece of literary craftsmanship. Brontë's writing is both beautifully descriptive and emotionally evocative, transporting readers to the windswept moors of Yorkshire and the gloomy corridors of Thornfield Hall. Her ability to capture the raw, unvarnished emotions of her characters is truly remarkable, allowing readers to experience the full range of human emotion alongside Jane.Perhaps what resonates with me most about Jane Eyre is its enduring message of empowerment and self-discovery. Through Jane's journey, we are reminded that true strength lies not in conformity or subjugation, but in the unwavering pursuit of one's dreams and the courage to forge one's own path. Jane's story is a testament to the power of perseverance, resilience, and an unshakable belief in oneself – lessons that hold immense value for readers of all ages and backgrounds. As I reflect on the countless hours I have spent immersed in the world of Jane Eyre, I am filled with gratitude for this literary masterpiece. It has not only entertained and captivated me but has also challenged me to think deeply about societal norms, gender roles, and the pursuit of personal fulfillment. Jane's unwavering spirit and her determination to live life on her own terms have left an indelible mark on my psyche, inspiring me to approach life with courage, authenticity, and an unshakable belief in my own worth. In a world that often demands conformity and compromise, Jane Eyre serves as a powerful reminder that true freedom lies in embracing one's individuality and following the path that alignswith one's values and beliefs. It is a novel that transcends time and continues to resonate with readers, offering solace, inspiration, and a timeless reminder of the human spirit's incredible resilience. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I know that Jane Eyre will remain a cherished companion, its pages serving as a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and empowerment. For in the words of Jane herself, "I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will." And it is this very spirit of independence and self-determination that I will carry with me always.篇2My Favorite Book is Jane EyreIf you ask me what my favorite book is, I won't even have to think about it - it's Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. This classic novel has captivated me in a way that no other book has. From the moment I first picked it up, I was drawn into Jane's world and couldn't put it down until the very last page. What makes Jane Eyre so special to me? Well, there are a few reasons. First and foremost, the character of Jane herself is simply amazing. She's someone I really admire and can relate toin so many ways. Jane is strong, determined, and has incredible integrity. She stands up for herself and her beliefs, even when facing immense challenges and adversity. At the same time, she's humble, kind, and deeply compassionate. I love how she treats everyone with respect, regardless of their social status.Growing up as an orphan, Jane had to overcome so much hardship from a very young age. But she never let it break her spirit or crush her dreams. If anything, it only made her more resilient and driven to create a better life for herself through hard work and education. I find that incredibly inspiring. WheneverI'm facing difficulties in my own life, I think of Jane's perseverance and it motivates me to keep going.I also love Jane's independence and her refusal to simply accept the societal norms and expectations for women during that era. She dares to dream of more - of an equal partnership in marriage based on mutual understanding and respect. She won't settle for anything less, even if it means turning down the man she loves. Jane has such strong moral courage and self-respect. She's not afraid to do what she believes is right, even if it means making immense personal sacrifices. The love story between Jane and Mr. Rochester is so beautifully written and completely captivating. It's far from thetypical fairy tale romance. Instead, it feels so real, raw, and authentic. Their relationship is built on a deep spiritual and intellectual connection. Despite their differences in social class and circumstance, they see and appreciate each other as equals and kindred spirits. It's a relationship grounded in honesty, trust, and true intimacy of the mind and soul. When I first read about Jane finally finding happiness with Rochester after everything they endure, I couldn't help but feel overjoyed for them both. It's a hard-earned, well-deserved happy ending after such heartbreak and suffering. Jane doesn't just pine for love - she works for it and proves herself worthy through her unwavering strength of character. Their mutual devotion and commitment to each other is the relationship ideal I now aspire to.Beyond the incredible characters, I'm also swept away by the beautifully descriptive language and insight into the social world of 19th century England. The Gothic elements and vivid descriptions of the mysterious Thornfield Hall create such an atmospheric, almost haunting mood that stays with you long after reading. And the commentaries on issues like social class, gender norms, religion and morality are still so relevant and thought-provoking today.Whenever I read Jane Eyre, I find myself being transported to another place and time. The emotions it stirs up within me are so profound - I experience Jane's pain, passion, joy and sorrow as if they were my own. When I finally reach the end, I almost feel bereaved to leave Jane's world behind. It's a true literary masterpiece that has made an indelible impression on me.Jane Eyre is a novel about the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity. It's about having the courage to reject injustice and oppression. It's about fighting for your dreams and refusing to lead a life devoid of meaning or love. It inspires me to live authentically, to never compromise my values, and to wholeheartedly embrace who I am. Jane's indomitable spirit and thirst for knowledge transformed her from the ultimate underdog into the heroine of her own life story. And that's the most empowering message I take from this book.篇3My Favorite Book is Jane EyreIf you ask me what my favorite book is, I won't hesitate for even a second before answering –Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. This classic novel from 1847 has captured my heart and mind like no other book. From the moment I first picked it up and readthose iconic opening lines, "There was no possibility of taking a walk that day...I was glad of it; I never liked long walks, especially on chilly afternoons," I was hooked. Jane Eyre's voice spoke to me in a way few other literary characters have.At its core, Jane Eyre is a bildungsroman, following the growth and development of the orphaned Jane as she navigates the challenges and injustices of 19th century English society. But it's so much more than that too. It's a stirring Gothic romance full of mystery and suspense. It's a feminist text that shows the fight for women's independence and rights. It's a moral tale examining good versus evil, religious feelings, and societal hypocrisy. No matter how you look at it, Jane Eyre is amulti-layered masterpiece. What I love most about this novel is the character of Jane herself. From a young age, she stands out as someone unafraid to speak her mind and stick up for herself, despite the abuse and cruelty she faces at Gateshead and Lowood School. Jane has such an indomitable spirit and passion for life. She yearns for more than just existing – she wants to truly live, to experience the world, to learn, to grow. Her famous words, "I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will," show her fiery determination. At the same time, Jane is humble, moral, and always trying to do what is right. She consistently turns down chances for an easier life if it means compromising her values. When she discovers the truth about Mr. Rochester's wife Bertha, she agonizes over the decision but ultimately chooses to leave him despite her love. Jane has such a strong ethical core and sense of justice. I admire her integrity, her passion for truth, and her unwillingness to be treated as anything less than an equal. The way Jane and Rochester's romance develops is so beautifully crafted too. At first, the power imbalance between the wealthy married master of the manor and the poor governess keeps them apart. But their intellectual connections and individual personalities eventually forge a bond where they see each other as peers. I love how Jane stands up to Rochester's arrogance and teasing, giving as good as she gets. Their passionate but restrained relationship tugs at the heartstrings. Then the shocking revelation about Bertha turns everything upside down, driving Jane to leave the man she loves on moral grounds. The heartbreak Jane goes through, losing her soulmate and her home at Thornfield, is so moving. Her perseverance to go on living, to become a teacher and find value in herself despite her suffering, is inspiring. An篇4My Favorite Book is Jane EyreJane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is undoubtedly my favorite book of all time. It's a classic novel that I first read for school, but it quickly became so much more than just a required reading assignment. The story of the orphaned Jane and her struggles against a cruel world captivated me from the very beginning. But it was her strength, resilience, and determination to stay true to herself that really resonated with me.The book begins with Jane's miserable childhood, growing up with an aunt who hates her and cousins who bully and mistreat her constantly. Even at a young age, Jane has an inner fire and refuses to just accept the abuse quietly. She fights back verbally against her cousin John when he torments her. This lands her in huge trouble, being locked in the terrifying red room as punishment. Jane's spirit is so strong that even after facing such horrors as a child, she doesn't become meek or submissive.Jane's life remains difficult when she is sent away to the harsh Lowood School. The conditions are terrible, with cold rooms, disgusting food, and cruel teachers. Jane could have easily given up and felt defeated by her circumstances. Instead, she perseveres, studying hard and taking advantage of what few opportunities for education she is given. Her dedication pays off when she qualifies to become a teacher at Lowood herself after years of being a student there. One of the things I admire most about Jane is her commitment to her principles and sense of justice. When she takes the position as a governess at Thornfield Hall to teach Mr. Rochester's young ward Adele, she is not afraid to stand up to her cantankerous employer. She matches his sarcasm and holds her own against his barbs and teasing. Jane is Rochester's intellectual equal and doesn't just defer to him because of his gender and social standing.Jane's strong moral compass guides all of her choices, even when it means making incredibly difficult decisions. When she discovers the truth about Rochester's past and his unspeakable secret, she knows she has no choice but to leave him and Thornfield, even though he is her beloved. Imagine having the courage to walk away from the man you love and your entire security because you know deep down that to stay would be wrong. Few of us could make such a heart-wrenching choice.Speaking of heart-wrenching choices, Jane also refuses to give in and become the mistress of St. John Rivers, even thoughhe offers her a chance at love and family by proposing they marry. Jane maintains her ethics and integrity by turning him down because she knows she could never truly love him in that way. Whether it's Rochester or St. John, Jane simply won't compromise her values, no matter how tempting the alternative might be.While Jane does get her happy ending by the final pages, it's her grit, determination, and sense of self-worth that truly make her an inspirational heroine. There were so many points in the novel where any other woman would have just accepted her "fate" as a poor, unmarriable orphan and given up. Not Jane - she defied every expectation and held fast to her identity and beliefs. On a personal level, Jane's story gave me strength during a period where I didn't feel very confident or powerful. I was getting picked on by the "cool" girls at school for being a shy bookworm. I started to question if I should just try to be like them to fit in. Then I would re-read sections of Jane Eyre during my free periods and her bravery and courage would inspire me all over again. If this fictional character could stand up for herself against such overwhelming odds, then why couldn't I?Jane taught me that I didn't need to change or compromise who I was just to be accepted by others. She embodied a quiet strength, opting to stay true to her moral principles rather than joining the crowd. Some might have seen her as isolated and alone, but she never viewed herself through that lens. Jane knew her self-worth came from within. On a craft level, I was in awe of how C harlotte Brontë was able to construct such an iconic character that still feels fresh and relevant nearly 200 years after the book was first published. Jane's "voice" as the first-person narrator is so distinctive and unforgettable. You are utterly invested in her hopes and dreams from the opening chapters.Brontë's writing is also incredibly vivid in its descriptions. Whether describing the eerie red room, the melancholy moors, or the burned ruins of Thornfield, her words transport the reader into the scene. She has a true gift for setting a mood and atmosphere. This is no "high and mighty" Victorian novel reserved only for scholars - Brontë tells Jane's harrowing tale with such passion and emotion that it hooks you and doesn't let go.Jane Eyre is now a classic work of English literature, but it never feels dated or stuffy to me. The character of Jane radiates afiery sense of independence and spirit that continues to resonate. She is the ultimate role model for young girls and women. Her struggles for dignity, equality, and justice may have been set in the 1800s, but they are universal and timeless. How many of us today still feel constrained and limited by societal expectations and prejudices? For all of these reasons, Jane Eyre remains my favorite book. Jane Eyre's indomitable voice and spirit changed my outlook on life. More importantly, she continues to inspire me to this day to have courage and stay true to who I am, no matter what obstacles or pressures I face. Jane walked her own path in life, and her story has empowered me to forge my own as well.篇5My Favorite Book is Jane EyreLiterature has the power to transport us to different worlds, introduce us to fascinating characters, and explore profound themes about life, love, and the human experience. Among the countless novels that have left an indelible mark on my soul, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë stands out as an all-time favorite. This timeless masterpiece has captivated me with its rich narrative, complex characters, and thought-provoking exploration of societal norms and personal identity. The story itself is a gripping tale of a young woman's journey through adversity, self-discovery, and the pursuit of independence in a world that often seeks to suppress her spirit. Jane Eyre, the protagonist, is a character whose resilience and strength of character have inspired me greatly. From her tragic childhood as an orphan mistreated by her cruel aunt, to her experiences as a governess at the haunting Thornfield Hall, Jane's unwavering determination and moral fortitude shine through even the darkest of circumstances. What captivates me most about Jane is her refusal to conform to the societal expectations of her time. In篇6My Favorite Book is Jane EyreI have read many books over the years, but one has always stood out as my absolute favorite - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. This classic novel, first published in 1847, has captivated me from the moment I first picked it up in 7th grade English class. The story of the orphaned Jane and her struggles against an oppressive society resonated deeply with me. Even years later, Ifind myself drawn back to re-read this timeless tale again and again. What makes Jane Eyre so special to me is the strength and resilience of the main character. Jane faces obstacle after obstacle from a very young age, yet she never loses her sense of principles or her determination to live life on her own terms. As a young orphan, she is treated terribly by her cruel aunt Mrs. Reed and is eventually sent away to the harsh Lowood School. The descriptions of her suffering and privations are truly heartbreaking. Yet through it all, Jane maintains her integrity and her thirst for knowledge.I admire how Jane stands up for herself, refusing to submit to the strict rules of her time that would restrict her independence. When she is proposed to by her supervisor at Lowood, the rector Mr. Brocklehurst, she declines - not because he is a terrible person, but because she knows she does not love him. Jane wants more out of life than just being someone's wife. This bold move shows her strong moral character. After leaving Lowood, Jane becomes a governess at the estate of the mysterious Mr. Rochester. This part of the book is where the romance and gothic overtones really take hold. I was utterly engrossed reading about Jane's experiences at thehaunted Thornfield Manor. Her relationship with Rochester is intensely passionate yet also complicated by the darkness surrounding him. When Jane agrees to marry Rochester, only to discover his terrible secret on their wedding day, it is a dramatic turning point. I remember feeling Jane's devastation so vividly. What I love most about Jane is that even after such a betrayal, she does not become cynical or jaded. She leaves in a storm of hurt and anger, yet she picks herself up and carries on with her life. Jane's resilience in the face of repeated heartbreak and setbacks is tremendously inspiring to me. No matter how difficult her circumstances become, her moral courage and belief in herself never wavers. The second half of the novel follows Jane as she moves forward, existing as an independent woman for the first time. These scenes of her finding her own way in the world and discovering her family history are some of my favorites. Jane is such a richly developed character, simultaneously strong and vulnerable. I cheered when she ultimately was able to reunite with Rochester at the end and achieve a happy ending that she had struggled so long to find.Beyond Jane's incredible character, I am also drawn to the novel's gothic atmosphere and undercurrent of mystery runningthroughout. The descriptions of the strange occurrences at Thornfield build suspense exquisitely. Brontë masters haunting imagery like the famous scene where Jane is awoken by eerie laughter during the night. Even after over a dozen re-reads, these supernatural elements still give me delicious chills. The vivid settings are another highlight, from the harsh austerity of the Lowood School to the wild moors that Jane wanders alone. Brontë's talent for description fully immerses the reader in the time and place. Her writing is rich in beautiful metaphors and turns of phrase. Lines like "I could not, while she lived, have cold potent grasp on my hand" when describing Bertha Rochester have stuck with me.More than just a love story, Jane Eyre is a exploration of gender roles, social class, religion and so much more. The "poor, obscure, plain, and little" Jane dares to aspire to more than society allows women of her time. Her defiance of expectations and desire for an equal partnership make this a strikingly feminist novel for the Victorian era. Jane refuses to be anybody's possession or submit to male authority without question. Issues of injustice and oppression are raised with Jane's criticisms of institutions like Lowood.Overall, what keeps me coming back to this book over and over is Jane herself. She is a character completely ahead of her time - a strong, independent, principled woman who forges her own path in life. Her spirit and integrity in the face of numerous trials make her an incredibly inspirational heroine. Jane's mantra of "I have an inward treasure born with me, that can keep me alive if all extraneous delights should be withheld" is something that I strive to embody in my own life.Charlotte Brontë created a true literary classic that still powerfully resonates today. Jane Eyre is a beautifully written, multi-layered masterpiece. It moves me, entertains me, and makes me think deeply with every reading. This book will always have a permanent place in my heart and on my bookshelf. Jane is a fictional character who has become a real guide and inspiration. Her story is truly timeless.。

Jane Eyre is generations of female hearts of the most approachable idol, she will not difficult to close, her shadow drifting around us, with her as a criterion, we can live magnanimous self-confidence, can give clues to the fate along find their true happiness lies.In today's real world, people are crazy for money and status seems to drown love. Choose between the poor and the rich rich, the choice between love and not love does not love. Few people like Jane abandon all this for love of human dignity for the individual, and no turning back. Maybe when people are so poor that only money, they will go to the pursuit of "love." Can be smoked mercenary spirit also deserve to have love it? Perhaps to simplify time to return to basics. In the pursuit of material life, we should perfusion of some truth and warmth in life, to pursue one of the true warmth, harmony and tolerance. Let us also seek devote full feeling, excluding gains and losses simplified feelings. Pure like a glass of water, slowly floating down to earth.Detachment from worldly vanity in the hustle and bustle, makes a stop and read of "Jane Eyre" it, go and Jane's soul dialogue. Jane Eyre is a fairy tale, she let usbelieve, have an independent personality and can self-esteem, self-love, self-confident woman, even a lily, will have their own pride, will find their own eternal spring . Jane Eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think: We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.We remember her pursuit o f justice. It’s like a companion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyon e is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality. We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.Actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. And some others even thought that she was easy to look down on and to tease, so when Miss Ingram met Jane Eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much more prettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. B ut as the little governess had said: ‘Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!’ This is the idea of equality in Jane Eyre’s mind. God hadn’t given her beauty and wealth, but instead, God gav e her a kind mind and a thinking brain. Her idea of equality and self-respect impress us so much and let us feel the power inside her body.In my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make others once feel that one is attractive and charming, if h is or her mind isn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannot last for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed them was only a falsity, it’s not true, they will like the person no more. For a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as AN EVERLASTING BEAUTY, just as Kahill Gibran has said, that‘Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted’. I can feel that how beauty really is, as we are all fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.Her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from her experience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the real beauty。

Charlotte Bronte made herself as a prototype, created successfully a new woman, Jane Eyre, who was plain but constantly strived to become stronger, she had courage to fight continuously for freedom and equality in the male word. Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre had some experiences in common. So through the analysis of the novel, we can see the miserable predicament of English women in that time and their strong desire of seeking for equal social position with men. The novel begins with little Jane as a despised orphan in the house of her uncle’s widow. Being rebellious, she is packed off to a charitable boarding school, which administers harsh discipline with especial vigor. Jane sets herself to learn, qualifies herself as a teacher, advertises for a post, and is employed as governess of the illegitimate French daughter of Rochester in his country mansion, Thorn field. Dramatically, Jane and Rochester have affections; they two fall in deep love with each other. When they prepare to get married, Jane unfortunately gets the news that Rochester has a legal wife. Without any complains, Jane leaves. After rescued by the River family, Jane happens to get a sum of heritage. When John proposes for Jane’s love, she hears a supernatural cry from Rochester, without hesitation, she rushes back to Thorn field only to find the house has been burnt down and Rochester has been maimed and blind. However, Jane decides to marry him in the end because she thinks they are in real equal.2.The development of Charlotte Bronte’s and Jane Eyre’s characters2.1 The development of Charlotte Bronte’s charactersCharlotte Bronte is a typical female who is rather independent and tough in character. She is born in 1816 at Thornton, in Yorkshire, England. Her father is an Irish Anglican clergyman, and her mother is a housewife, who is unfortunately dead of cancer when Charlotte is only five years old. Charlotte is the third child of the six children. In 1824, Charlotte is sent with three of her sisters to the Clergy Daughters’ School at Cowan Bridge in Lancashire. Because of its poor condition and awful treatment, two of her sisters die , Charlotte still maintains, but her health and physical development are permanently affected, so she and her sister Emily removed from the school and go back home in Haworth Parsonage. When Charlotte is a little girl, she is very interested in literature and she writes many short stories and poems to prepare for her literary vocations. When Charlotte grows up to fifteen years old, she continues her education at Roe Head School inMidfield. In 1839, Jane leaves Roe Head School and she takes up the first of many positions as governess to various families in Yorkshire. The job at that time is treated with bias and she suffers and bears so much. During 1839 to 1841, Jane workes as a governess two times but each period was short because she hated even abhorred the occupation so she can’t take it up any mo re. To make a living, Charlotte and her sister Emily want to open a school to teach children French, but they are not good at this language. In 1842, they travel to Brussels to learn French. They meet Mr. Herger, the owner of the Pension at Herger, a girl’s school, where Charlotte and Emily are pupils and Charlotte later teaching. Mr. Herger is a handsome and intelligent man. During the period of learning, Charlotte falls in love with the married man. But she puts her affections deeply in her heart. Her first novel, The Professor published under the name Currier Bell, is based on her experiences of teaching in Brussels, but never found a publisher in her lifetime. Undeterred by her own rejection, Charlotte begins Jane Eyre, which comes out as an immediate success. The novel is described as “the masterwork of a great genius.” To describe Charlotte’s love story, it is simple. During the period between 1839 and 1842, there are two men ask for Charlotte’s proposal, one is the brother of Charlotte’s friend, anothe r is a young clergyman. Charlotte rejects to them for the reason that she thinks she is not their true love but a tradition but to follow the tradition to marry a woman, however, when Charlotte meets her true lover Mr. Herger, who has been married, she just puts her love in heart deeply. Her attitude towards love is very vivid; it is precious that she knows who she loves and what she wants.2.2 The development of Jane Eyre’s charactersThe heroine Jane Eyre is a very poor girl but in her temperament, she strives for equality and self-respect. Jane Eyre is an orphan, in the eyes of Mrs. Reed and the mistress’s children; Jane is an “external person”, an “alien”, “a person rather than servant”. In Gate head, everyone treats her meanly and coldly, she does not have an explicit position and identity, she does not feel comfortable about her living environment but she is not able to change it. The reality brings her up into a personality of solitary, sensitive and obstinate. She cherishes her rights and dignity as a human, especially when she is only a little girl, she uses a pair of eyes of early-maturing child and a pure child’s heart to observe and judge good or bad around. She has a rich inner world but no one to tell, so it brings her a personality of quiet and indifferent outside but passionate heart inside. As Mrs. Reed cannot hold Jane any longer, Jane is sent to a charitable school for poor girls in Logwood. At first, she thinks it is a paradise but in fact a hell except the benevolent intention in name. Bad food, thin clothes, two girls live in one small bed, six persons use one basin. People can’t receive timely cure if they catch a cold, so pestilence is spreading. Jane suffers molestation of the spirit and body continuously, but the strong motion of studying and the rebel independent spirit makes her survive in difficult environment, she grows up bravely and becomes a woman who has good accomplishment. Just like Jane says to her good friend Helen Burn: “when we are struck at without reason, we should strike back again very hard, I am sure we should hard as to teach the person who struck us never to do it again.” During that period, Jane becomes more mature in mind and she makes a further development of her severe self-dignity and self-consciousness. Before long, Jane is employed as a tutor of the illuminate daughter of Rochester in his country mansion, Thorn field. It is a new beginning for Jane, she works very hard there and adapts to the new environment and new job easily. As a tutor, Jane knows what statusand dignity she is in, she professes herself as an independent worker, when facing the master, she is neither obsequious nor supercilious, but generous in manner, she is so calm and unhurried in Thorn field. Gradually, she attracts the attention of th e wise and honest Rochester. Jane’s character, which is out of the ordinary and intelligence, like a spring wind on his face, gives Rochester a shake for heart and soul. As for Jane, “Mr. Rochester is my relation rather my master. During the day in Thorn field, my thin crescent destiny seemed to enlarge, the blanks of existence were filled up, my bodily hearty improved, and I gathered flesh and strength.” They soon fall in love with each other. Though Jane’s emotion for Rochester is so deep, she feels bitte rly disappointed, because she must reminds herself continuously that there is always a chasm between them. Rochester is an upper class gentleman while Jane is a poor tutor, Rochester possess a high social status and a great sum of fortune while Jane has no thing. She encourages herself “I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more uncontained I am, the more I will respect myself.” So, when she hears that Rochester has a legal wife, Jane leaves Rochester without hesitation, leaves Thorn field. In Brit 19th century of Britain, making such a choice is undoubtedly astonishing for a plain woman who has no social status. However, this is decided by Jane Eyre’s rebel personality. On the way of a wild and remote village, Jane Eyre loses consciousness because of cold and hunger. Fortunately, she is saved by priest John and his two sisters. They take care to her and with their help; Jane becomes a teacher in primary school. John proposes Jane in Moor house, but she refuses, because Jane recognizes John is not her ideal lover. She seems to hears a supernatural cry from Rochester steady, so she goes back to Thorn field, only to find Thorn field has burned into wasteland and Mr. Rochester loses sight of both eyes and disabled because to save his mad wife in big fire. Under this circumstance, Jane comes back to Rochester, caring him for noting but love. At that time, Jane gains completely independence of economy and human dignity. In the end, she gets married with Rochester in true equal status.3.Contrast the characters between Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre3.1 The differences between Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre3.1.1 Different characters in childhoodThere are something difficult in characters in their childhood because their suffers and encounters in little are resemble but not same. And the experiences they suffered produce their different characters. Charlotte Bronte is the third child of the six children, she has sisters and brother. Her mother dies when she is little, then she and three other sisters are sent to a school. During the days in school, two of her sisters die because of the poor conditions. The news beats Charlotte very seriously. After Charlotte and Emily go back home, they study by themselves and by their father’s teaching. I n their daily life, they either stay in their father’s library or have imaginations on the wild field. I can say Charlotte has a bleak childhood because she has no friends and she does not keep touch with neighbors. Charlotte’s family encounters and the su rroundings make her the personality of solitary, loneness quiet, and uncommunicativeness. Contrast to the heroine Jane Eyre, there are some differences between their childhoods. Throughout Jane’s childhood, she is fighting all the time, fighting with her cruel aunt Mrs. Reed, fighting with her cruel cousin John.Everyone in Gate head treats her badly and she is nobody so that Jane fights to them in return. As a little girl, Jane protects herself by nature and fights to others by nature. When Jane gets to school, the suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach Jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else. For the two little girls, Charlotte is solitary and quiet while Jane is rebel and brave to struggle her own rights and respects. Both of them are eager to be looked as equal as men, but Jane’s character is more vivid.3.1.2 Different situations on pursing equalityCharlotte Bronte lives in a male chauvinism society, when people look down upon females, women have no rights as men, they are just considered as angle wives. Charlotte grows up under this circumstance, so she is desirous to pursue equality. When Mr. Southey says to her that literature is not business of women, she does not give up writing in order to prove women can do what men do. She writes Jane Eyre under the name Currier Bell and when the novel turns out to be a great success, there is no doubt that Charlotte is winning, she gains the equality as men. In the novel, Charlotte puts her dream of pursuing equality on Jane Eyre. Jane wants equal as men throughout her life. When she is young, she fights for equality, everyone in the house is treated as ordinary, but Jane is an alien and abnormal, Mrs. Reed and her children can vituperate even beat Jane at their own will, though for little thing. Jane can’t bear the disgrace any more, so she fights back. Both of the two females are pursing for equality, but reflect in different ways and different situations. Jane is an imaginative feature of Charlotte.3.1.3 Different situations on pursing independenceAs we all know, Jane Eyre is an outstanding novel to reflect her independence. Most of her childhood, she spends in the library with her two sisters and it is her obligation to take care for them. On the other hand, Charlotte does not like to play with other children; instead, she always has imaginations on the field. These encounters make Charlotte becomes an independent girl. For Jane, she is an orphan without brothers and sisters; she has no relatives after her Uncle Reed’s de ath. What’s worse, the mistress even the servants in the house don't like her very much. Therefore, Jane must make the personality of independence although at her immature age, she must learn to protect herself and take good care of herself. When she is se nt to the girls’ school, the hypocritical headmaster and teachers pay no sympathy for the girls, the school rulings are strict and abnormal, the girls have little food and thin clothes. After Jane’s good friend Helen Burn’s death of illness, she has no cho ice but to survive on her own strong independent spirit under that bad environment. Charlotte and Jane Eyre have similar personalities like equality, independence and noble human dignity, but their personalities are raised in different life experiences. Charlotte confers most of her life experiences upon Jane but not completely. The purpose is to set up an image that is staunch and self-pride.3.2 The similarity between Charlotte Bronte and Jane EyreThroughout Jane’s love story, it reflects the author’s attitude towards love. So, in this aspect, the two females have many similarities in love. According to the character of Charlotte Bronte, herfamily life may like calm water, but she may not feel happy, she may have been poor, but she may not value the property too much, she may not be very beautiful, but she may have a romantic idea about love. Charlotte Bronte must have been thought of what the perfect partner should be, they must cherish the same ideals and follow the same path, as the trees rooted in the same soil, or two branches on the same tree, they must have the same texture, so they can gain appreciation and understanding and love from each other. In Charlotte’s life, one young man is refused by Charlotte is her intimate friend’s brother; he is a shy and quiet gentleman, with a gentle personality and good quality. If they marry, their life will be courteous, calm and happy. Moreover, she can live together with her best friend, but Charlotte flatly refuses although it is a big temptation. In her mind, love and marriage are unifying, but she intuitively captures some discrepancies between them. Her romantic passion and unyielding ambition is not adapted to his quiet life like water, Charlotte boldly predicts that a gentle soften religious woman is the right marriage partner of his. Charlotte resolutely to refuse his proposal because she is certain she could not give him happiness. In Charlotte’s term, love is noble and love is built based on equal human dignity. Then, Charlotte Bronte creates a female figure, who has much in common upon her love experiences, furthermore, Charlotte makes Jane’s love story more idealism and a happy ending. Jane Eyre meets the master, Mr. Rochester when she leaves for Thorn field Hall. He is a hardy man because his unhappy marriage, he marries Miss Mason, the woman has mean mind and extremely bad temper and becomes mad in four years after their marriage. When Rochester gets the first sight of Jane, he feels there is something new, a new vitality and a new feeling. The process from strangers to love each other, Rochester is deeply conquered by the kind of rebellious spirit and the equality of self-esteem of Jane. Also, Mr. Rochester’s grace personality and vast knowledge attracts Jane very much. When Jane finds that she falls in love with the owner after such a disparity of social status, she has the courage to love because she believes that people are equal in spirit. Jane says: “Do you think, I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! I have as much soul as you, and fill as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is for me to leave you, and we stood at God’s feet, equal, as we are!” I can say, the love of Jane is great and ordinary. Jane is great, because she love Rochester not for any of the utilitarian, even later, she aimlessly leaves Thorn field Hall alone, she doesn’t take anything, including the pearls necklace Rochester gives her as a gift. Jane is ordinary, because her love is like ordinary people. We praise such love! The emotion Jane for Rochester is very sincere and single-minded, which mainly manifests on her dedicated and strong love for him. After Jane leaves Rochester, she does not abandon him emotionally, on the contrary, her loves likes a martyr, which is intended to sacrifice for him, no matter poor or rich. Throughout the numerous twists and turns, Jane finally realizes her longing for love—the love is full of freedom and equality. Though the results of the story, Charlotte wants to tell us, rebellion beats stubborn, freedom vanquishes fetter, equality defeats slavery.4. ConclusionCharlotte Bronte is a successful female writer. The book Jane Eyre in other words is an autobiography through composing the image of Jane Eyre. Charlotte puts her own life experiences on the heroine in a dramatic way as she has a deep understanding of the circumstance of women in low status and points out the road of women gaining happiness for themselves. The success Janegains wholly decided by her hardworking and lasting pursuit although she is a weak orphan girl with plain appearance in low class. She owns nothing but ultimately gains a happy life. From the very beginning at Gates head to the last returns to Thorn field, the road is full of thorns. In this process, she has ever had hesitance, perplexity and despondence; she never yields to the environment and the destiny. She has a heroic spirit in facing difficult. She is rebellious but we all favor this rebellion because we can see yearning and thirst for equality and freedom from her rebellion. Engels once points out “In any society, the degree of women’s liberation is the natural measure of measuring the general liberation.” What Jane Eyre has is a road of self-struggle, what she thinks is how to gain an equal status in society. From Jane Eyre, we can feel the demand of women liberation. So we still say Jane Eyre is great, Charlotte who publishes her own idea through Jane Eyre is greater. The spirit advocated by Charlotte Bronte of independence and sovereignty for women is what the modern women pursuing even today.。
