高职高专旅游英语专业口语教学现状及对策【摘要】分析目前高职高专旅游英语专业口语教学的现状,结合桂林旅游高等专科学校旅游外语系的教学实践,提出改善高职高专旅游英语专业口语教学的策略。
【关键词】高职高专旅游英语口语教学现状对策【中图分类号】g【文献标识码】a【文章编号】0450-9889(2012)12c-0146-02当前,我国旅游业日趋规范化、国际化,饭店、景点景区、旅行社、购物商店和娱乐场所等旅游市场对涉外从业人员英语实用能力、交际能力的要求也日益提高,而对高职高专旅游英语专业口语教育的要求也相应提高。
因此,以职业为导向,提高旅游英语口语能力成为高职高专旅游英语专业教学探讨重点之一。
一、高职高专旅游英语专业口语教学现状(一)学生口语能力较差。
目前,我国初高中学校多重视书面英语学习,这导致学生的英语书写能力虽然较强,但听说能力比较弱,且口语能力较差。
同时,各地区的初高中教育水平存在差异,教育落后地区的学生,由于自身英语基本功较差,就读高职高专院校后,自卑的心理也导致他们不会主动开口说英语。
(二)师资不足。
目前,大部分高职高专院校旅游英语专业口语教学的教师资源不足,语言教师和专业教师脱节。
有扎实的语言功底和良好跨文化意识的语言教师缺乏旅游行业实践经验以及教学所涉及的专业知识;旅游行业出身,有丰富的实践操作能力的专业教师,英语学习和教学则缺乏系统性。
(三)教材不配套。
目前,高职高专院校旅游英语专业使用的旅游英语口语教材各不相同,教材多是内容宽泛,针对性不强;只强调语言知识和旅游专业知识,缺乏实际操作性;传统文字印刷品较多,配套视频较少;缺少跨文化交际知识。
(四)语言教学环境单一。
高职高专院校的口语教学很少离开过教室进行新教学,多数采取传统的教学模式,以老师为中心,老师讲,学生听,导致学生容易对口语教学不感兴趣。
传统的教学模式没有真实地走进旅游行业实践,学生的语言实践也不足。
(五)第二课堂内容脱离职业需求。

情景教学法特别适用于旅游英语的教学中,本文从实践中列举了一些适合旅游英语教学的情景创设模式。
【关键词】情景教学;旅游英语一、旅游英语教学的特点和现状1.旅游英语的特点。
旅游英语在于培养学生在具体的旅游工作环境中实际运用英语的能力。
首先,旅游英语是一门实践性很强的专业外语,它具有实用性的特点。
其次,旅游英语课程具有很强的综合性,教学内容广泛,涉及历史、地理、文学、宗教、建筑等多学科知识。
2.旅游英语教学的现状。
从目前的教学实践中,我们发现旅游英语教学中还有很多亟待研究和解决的问题:问题集中表现在教学内容与工作实际严重脱节,“学”无法致“用”;教师偏重语言知识的讲解,忽视旅游专业知识和技能的培养;课堂气氛沉闷,教学方法单一枯燥;学生缺少实际操作机会等诸多方面。
要解决上述问题,在目前教材比较单一,校外实习实训基地相对缺乏的情况下,将情景教学法应用到旅游英语教学中去无疑是最有效和实用的办法。
运用各种手段,创设不同情景,模拟各个旅游实务流程场景,让学习者身处其中,通过亲身实践、分析记忆和熟练操作各个旅游实务环节,能够显著提高旅游英语的教学效率、教学质量和教学效果。
二、情景教学理论捷克教育家夸美纽斯曾说:“一切知识都是从感官开始的”。
情景教学法是在课堂上设置一些真实性和准真实性的情景来学习和使用知识,在教学过程中,教师有目的引入和创设具有一定情感色彩的,以形象为主体具体的场景,以引起学生一定的态度体验,从而帮助学生理解知识和技能,并使学生心理机能得到发展,达到教学目的的一种教学方法。
情景教学法能使学生身临其境,给学生展示鲜明具体的形象,使学生从形象的感知达到抽象的理性思维和顿悟,从而激发学生的学习兴趣,使学习活动成为学生自觉活动。
