3. John was an aggressive salesman who did his job quite well.

4. Hitler pursued an aggressive policy after he seized power.

点评：以上四句的翻译要注意一词多义，要根据上下文的语境，选择合适的词义哦！尤其是3和4，我们课堂上反复提到的！

5.This is the soldier who just returned from the front.

这就是刚从前线回来的战士。

点评：定语从句的译法，还记得吗？主要是前置法或者后置法，当然如果读到中口，还会有更多的译法分享。

6.My first thirty years were spent in Western America.

我的前三十年都是在美国西部度过的。

st year the region was visited by the worst drought in 60 years.

去年，这地区遭受了60年以来最严重的旱灾。

点评：被动语态主动译法。

8. He was a regular visitor.

他曾是这里的常客/他曾经常来。

2. 他酷爱古典音乐。

He is very fond of classic music.

点评：中译英时，省略范畴词的翻译。英译中时，添加范畴词。还记得吗？

4. 虚心使人进步，骄傲使人落后。

Modesty makes you progress whereas conceit makes you lag behind.

5. 她把窗户打开，让新鲜的空气进来。

She opened the window to let fresh air in.

6. 我们应学会分析问题和解决问题。

We should learn how to analyze and solve problems.

7. 来得容易去得快。

Easy come, easy go.

点评：4和7都属于谚语，要了解更多的英语谚语，可以参见公共邮箱里的谚语100句。

8. 他们在北京逗留期间，拜访了几个老朋友，参观了北京大学，游览了长城。

During their stay in Beijing, they dropped by some old friends, visited Peking University and madea trip to the Great Wall.

点评：“拜访、参观、游览”在中文里的意思都差不多，但在中译英时，不能都用visit，否则译文过于单调，所以在平时积累一定的同义词汇是非常重要的！
