While we were there, we visited a place called Shenyar Ocean World, and it was honestly one of the coolest experiences of my entire life! I can't wait to tell you all about it.As we walked up to the entrance, I was amazed by how huge the building was. It looked like a massive glass dome rising up from the ground. My dad said it's one of the largest aquariums in the world! Once we went inside, I was blown away by everything I saw.The first thing we did was go through the entrance tunnel, which had two MASSIVE curved glass walls on either side. Swimming all around us were huge sharks, rays, and all sorts of other marine creatures! It felt like we were walking under the ocean. I was a little nervous being so close to the sharks, but my mom assured me the glass was super strong and they couldn't get to us.After the tunnel, we entered the main area which had exhibits and tanks everywhere you looked. One of my favoriteareas was the kelp forest, which had a towering cylinder tank filled with swaying kelp and little fish darting through the plants. It made me feel like I had shrunk down and was swimming through an underwater jungle!Another highlight was the polar area, where they had pools with seals, walruses, and even beluga whales! The belugas were bright white and made such silly noises. One of the staff was giving them hand signals and they would do tricks like waving or spinning around. The seals were really playful too and seemed to love showing off for the crowd.But I think my absolute favorite area was the underwater viewing dome. It was this huge circular room with a domed glass ceiling, and ALL AROUND you on all sides were the walls of a gigantic tank filled with sharks, rays, giant groupers, and more! I felt like I was sitting inside the ocean looking out at the marine life. A few reef sharks even swam right over the glass above our heads, which was amazing yet kinda scary at the same time!Throughout the whole place, there were also lots of smaller tanks displaying all kinds of interesting fish and marine life. I loved watching the clownfish darting in and out of the swaying anemones. The lionfish looked so cool and spiky. And the octopuses could actually change colors and squeeze through thetiiiniest little spaces! My little brother thought the frogfish was hilarious because it looked so grumpy.Besides the aquarium exhibits, Ocean World also had some other fun areas to explore. There was an outdoor area with spots for animal shows and encounters where you could interact with seals, parrots, and other critters. They even had diving shows where people in scuba gear would dive into the big tanks to swim with the sharks and feed the fish up close. That seemed terrifying to me but the divers looked so fearless!My family and I spent over half a day wandering around and taking in all the incredible sights. Every time we turned a corner there was something new and amazing to discover. By the end, my brain felt stuffed full of ocean facts and my eyes had seen more beautiful undersea creatures than I ever could have imagined.I'll never forget the day we spent at Shenyar Ocean World.
