The history of Hanfu can be traced back to the mythical sage-king Shennong, who is said to have taught the ancientChinese people how to cultivate silkworms and make silk. Throughout the centuries, Hanfu has gone through significant changes in style, fabric, and color, reflecting the social and cultural shifts of each dynasty. During the Han Dynasty, for example, the traditional attire consisted of a cross-collared robe with wide sleeves and a sash around the waist for both men and women. The Tang Dynasty saw the introduction of the more elaborate, layered robes and the use of vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Each dynasty left its mark on the evolution of Hanfu, making it a rich and diverse cultural treasure.
