when 引导的时间状语从句 一、含义 在主从复合句中，用作状语的从句称为状语从 句。时间状语从句是常用的状语从句。由when 引导的时间状语从句用来表示某一时间发生的 动作。
二、用法 1. when引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词常用一般 现在时或一般过去时。 (1) I am always very tired when I come home from work. 当我下班回到家时，我总是很疲倦。 (2) He was very happy when he heard the news. 他 听到这个消息时很开心。 2. when引导的时间状语从句可以位于主句之前， 也可以位于主句之后。位于主句之前时，需要用 逗号将主从句隔开。例如： He could speak English when he was five years old. =When he was five years old, he could speak English. 他五岁的时候就会讲英语了。

used to 的用法 一、含义 used to意为“曾经；以前”，相当于一个情态动 词，其后要跟动词原形，表示过去的习惯、过去 经常发生的动作或存在的状态。
二、基本结构 1.肯定句：used to +动词原形。 例如: He used to live here.他过去住在这里。 2.否定句：did not/didn’t use to +动词原形。 例如： He didn’t use to live here.他过去没有住在 这里。 3.一般疑问句：Did +主语+ use、to +动词原形？ 例如：Did he use to live here? 他过去住在这里吗 ？ 补充： 由于used to表示不确定的过去，因此不能与确定 的时间状语连用，也不能与since或for连用以表示 动作或状态的延续。
