1) so that引导的结果状语从句 In his fury, he threw the vase upon the ground so (that) they were broken. 他盛怒之下,便把花瓶扔到地上,摔破了。

状语从句与并列句和复合句有密切关系。并列句由并列连 词连接两个或两个以上的简单句,而复合句则包含一个主 句和一个或多个从句。状语从句可以作为复合句中相反的假设条件,主句说明在这个假设条件下会出现的结果。常用if引导, 从句和主句的谓语动词都要用虚拟语气。

so + adj+a/an +可数名词单数 such +a/an +adj+可数名词单数
eg:She is so lovely a girl that we love her very much. She is such a lovely girl that we love her very much.
③such(+adj.)+不可数名词+that从句 eg:
1)天气这么糟糕我们没能按时完成工作。
We had such terrible weather that we couldn't finish the work on time. 2)他取得如此大的进步,老师很满意。
He has made such great progress that the teachers are satisfied.
我们有这么多的时间以至于我们能很好地完成工作。 We have so much time that we can finish the work very well.
注意:①当名词前面有many,much,few,little等表示数 量多少的限定词时,应该用so,而不能用such。
1.两者都表示“如此...以至于” 当单数名词前有形容词时,既可用so,也可用such,但不定冠词的 位置却有所不同。

That match was so exciting that the audience clapped.
