Dear Sir or Madam,

I recently saw your advertisement for a voice-over artist, and I am very interested in it.

I have often wondered what it would be like to have such a job, and I think I would do it very well.

English is my native language but as my mother speaks Putonghua, I am almost bilingual in the two languages. I have also spent a year studying in France, so I can speak French fairly fluently. I have always had the ability to make people laugh when I imitate the voices of famous actors or make various animal noises.I am a good mimic, and I think this would be valuable as a voice-over artist. When I was at school and university, I was regularly asked to speak at functions and during school assemblies. I have acted in various plays, too. I have received training as a language teacher, so I think that my voice is “clear” and strong.

I am very interested in your advertised training package and I am keen to work overseas.
