好了，趁着离我们的芦笛岩洞还有一段路程，我先给大家讲一下芦笛岩大致的情况吧。
“桂林山水甲天下，芦笛美景堪最佳。
”芦笛岩位于桂林市西北郊，是一个以游览岩洞为主、观赏山水田园风光为辅的风景名胜区。
洞内有大量绮丽多姿、玲珑剔透的石笋、石乳、石柱、石幔、石花，琳琅满目，组成了“狮岭朝霞”、“红罗宝帐”、“盘龙宝塔”、“原始森林”、“水晶宫”、“花果山”等景观，令人目不暇接，如同置身仙境。
除了秀丽的景色之外呢，芦笛岩还拥有深厚的文化底蕴。
岩洞内共发现古代壁书七十余则，不少是文人、僧侣和游览者的题名、题诗，作者则来自全国各地，题材以游览记事为主，大家等一下呢可以

芦笛岩年接待游客量居世界岩溶景区之首，开放以来已接待过四千多万游客，有众多党和国家领导人、180多位外国首脑及政要参观过芦笛岩，他们在参观后被这人间奇景所倾倒，由此芦笛岩也被称为“国宾洞”。
尼克松夫人曾称赞岩洞“奇特壮观，就像宫殿一样”。

其实，芦笛岩在最初的时候并非像现在这般闻名于世。
芦笛岩所在的光明山,从前叫毛毛头山，原来半山腰只有一个小洞口,仅容一人进出,山坡上又长满芦荻草,并不引起人们的注意。
但是洞内保存的自唐贞元八年以来的70余则壁书则表明呢,芦笛岩并非亘古无人知晓，附近的村民,早就知道这个灵巧之洞,可是人们长期以来秘而不宣。
“芦笛岩头枷锁破,桃花源内仙灵唱。
”解放以后,人们生活安定,用不着避难了,便道出了芦笛岩的秘密。
1959年,附近村民提供了岩洞的情况,经过勘测建设,于1962年正式开放。
因为洞口附近生长着芦荻草,据说可以做成笛子,吹出悦耳动听的声音，故取名为芦笛岩。
好了，现在我们已经来到了这座童话宫殿的入口了，请大家跟我一起进去一探究竟吧！芦笛岩是一个囊状的岩洞，进口与出口相邻，进洞处为原来的天然洞口，出洞处是开凿的人工洞口。
洞深240米，游程约为500米。
大家现在可以看到啊，你们的周围是不是有很多的或是像竹笋、或是像柱子、或是像旗帜的石头呢？它们到底是怎样形成的呢？大家且听我一一道来。
桂林这片土地上分布着广泛的喀斯特地貌，也叫做岩溶地貌，是在地表水和地下水对可溶性岩石的破坏和改造作用下形成的。
100万年前芦笛岩这里原是一个古地下湖，由于地壳运动，山体抬升，地下水位下降，地下湖变成了山洞。
后来，地下水沿着山体中许许多多的破碎带流动，溶解了岩石中的碳酸钙，当溶解有碳酸钙的地下水从岩石缝隙流到洞中时，由于温度、压力等因素发生变化，co2逸出，于是碳酸钙就沉淀了下来。
而随着洞顶的水在慢慢向下渗漏时，这种沉淀物有的会沉积在洞顶，有的则沉积在洞底，随着时间的积累，洞顶的形成石钟乳，洞底的形成石笋。
当二者不断生长，最后相连，则是现在大家看到的石柱了。
半首诗台：那么，现在大家看到的是“半首诗台”了。
为什么这么说呢？相传啊，一天，一位诗人远道而来，被芦笛岩神奇的景色给迷住了，而后，他诗兴大发，写到：“天生芦笛千般巧，欲写奇岩下笔难”，可是，他苦思冥想，却怎么也想不出后半首诗来，所以，“半首诗台”就这样被大家传开了。
