常用来引导结果状语的引导词或短语有:so、so that、so...that...、such that、such...that...、that等。
(一)so that与so...that...引导的结果状语从句So that/so...that...引导结果状语从句,意为“如此......以至于”,在口语中,that常可省略。
1)so that引导的结果状语从句例句:In his fury,he threw the vase upon the ground so (that) they were broken.他盛怒之下,便把花瓶扔到地上,摔破了。
例句:We moved to the country so that we were away from the noisy and dull city.我们搬到了乡下,所以我们远离了喧嚣、单调的城市。
例句:She is ill so that she can't attend the meeting this afternoon.她病了,不能参加今天下午的会议了。
2)so...that...引导的结果状语从句so...that...引导结果状语从句可以构成如下结构:例句:Mike is sohonest a man that we all believe him.迈克是如此诚实的一个人,以至于大家都相信了他。
例句:Lily left home sohurriedly that she left her documents home.莉莉出门时太匆忙,结果文件落在家里了。
(二)such(...) that...引导的结果状语从句such(...) that...引导结果状语从句,可以构成如下结构:例句:It is suchnice weather that I'd like to take a walk.天气是如此之好,以至于我想去散步。

结果状语从句
在句子中作结果状语的句子称为结果状语从句。
常用的引导词有:
so/such ….that •如此….
以至于 …./too …to …太 ... 而不能 .... /enough to 足够 ....
So …that •用法
(1) so+形容词+ that …
如:It was so cold outside that we had to stop the match.天气太冷了,我们不得不停止比赛。
(2) so+形容词+a/an +单数可数名词+ that …
如:She is so lovely a girl that all love her very much.
她是如此可爱的一个女孩,以至于我 们都喜欢她。
(3) so + +that …
He drove so carelessly that he almost lost his life.

so many/few/much/little+ +that … There was so much work to do that Mary got tired.
