Today I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown - Wuxi. It's a really cool city in Jiangsu Province, China that not too many people outside of China know about. But after you hear what I have to say, I think you'll agree it's a place worth knowing!First off, Wuxi is pretty old - it has a history going back over 3,000 years! Can you believe people have been living there since the Shang Dynasty? That's like ancient times! A lot of the coolest stuff in Wuxi dates back hundreds or even thousands of years. Like you've got Lingshan Grand Buddha which is this massive 88 meter tall Buddha statue from way back in the 900s AD during the Five Dynasties period. It's one of the largest ancient Buddha bronze castings in the whole world! Then there's Huishan Ancient Town which still has all these old buildings, city walls, and streets that look just like they did during the Ming and Qing dynasties centuries ago. Walking through there is like stepping back in time - it's awesome! But Wuxi isn't just about being old and historical. It has totally modern stuff too! My favorite is Lingshan Scenic Area which has this crazy tall Ferris wheel called the Lingshan GlobalHub. At 158 meters, it's one of the highest Ferris wheels on the planet. Every time I ride it and get to the very top, I can see sooooo far across the whole city skyline. The views are insane! Lingshan also has these wild roller coasters like the 4D stunt coaster where you get to do all these loops and twists while watching a movie at the same time. At night they light up all the buildings and it looks so magical reflected on the lake waters. Turtle Head is definitely one of the most romantic scenic spots in Wuxi for couples to visit.Speaking of Taihu Lake, that's another awesome aspect of my city. 无锡英文简介Wuxi

无锡英文简介Wuxi

WuxiFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaWuxi (simplified Chinese: 无锡; traditional Chinese: 無錫; pinyin: Wúxī) is an old city in southern Jiangsu province, People's Republic of China.Split in half by Lake Tai, Wuxi borders Changzhou to the west and Suzhou to the east. The Yangtze River lies between the northern half of Wuxi and Taizhou, while the southern half of the city borders the province of Zhejiang. Wuxi is also famous for being one of the birthplaces of China's modern industry and commerce, as well as the hometown of many important businessmen who have played essential roles in building commerce in Shanghai since the early 20th century.Name[edit]The modern name consists of the Chinese characters无 ("without, lacking") and 锡 ("tin") and simply means "No tin". According to a traditional story, during the warring states period, soldiers were stationed in Wuxi on Xishan ("tin hill"). While burying a pot to prepare food, a soldier found a stone plaque engraved with the words "If there is tin there is an army, conflict under heaven. If there is no tin (wuxi), there is peace, quiet under heaven." According to the story, Wuxi's name comes from this inscription. However, some scholars believe the name may have originally been "吳墟" ("Ruins of Wu") from Meicun's role as the original capital of the region or from a Chinese transcription of an indigenous Baiyue name honoring a bird deity.[2][3][4][5][6][7] Others believe that the name could be derived from an ancient pronunciation of the name Fu Xi.Former spellings include Wu-shi, Wushi, and Wu-hsi. In Shanghainese, it ispronounced [ɦuɕiɪʔ].History[edit]Zhou Dynasty[edit]According to traditional Chinese historians, two Zhou princes, Taibo and Zhongyong, founded the first Chinese state in the area of Wuxi around the 11th century BC. This state of Wu (吳) had its first capital at Meili, generally thought to be the village of Meicun in Wuxi (although some records indicate a location closer to Wu's later capitals around Suzhou).[citation needed] Taibo and Zhongyong helped develop Wu's agriculture and waterways and the area soon flourished. Taibo died without an heir, and Zhongyong succeeded him as king of Wu. His descendants were later officially enfeoffed by the Zhou court as vassals before declaring themselves full kings again during the Spring and Autumn Period.A shrine to Taibo was set up in today's Meicun. Although the original wood structure was eventually destroyed in war, it has been rebuilt several times.[citation needed] A stone carved with sayings by Confucius can still be seen at the modern Taibo Shrine, whose architecture dates mostly to the Qing dynasty.Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period[edit]The State of Wu became one of the strongest kingdoms during the Spring and Autumn Period. Sunzi (Suntzu), who wrote the famous "the Art of War" came to Wu and helped the king with his military affairs. Wu was considered one of the seven strongest kingdoms during thisperiod[citation needed]. Some of Sunzi's descendants still live in Sunxiang in Wuxi near the Plum Garden. However, Wu was later defeated by the State of Yue,today's Zhejiang and Fujian, which in turn was overthrown by the State of Chu and incorporated into Chu during the Warring States period.Qin and Han Dynasty[edit]The cultural and economic center of the "Wu" area shifted to Suzhou after the reign of thefirst Qin Dynasty emperor, Qin Shi Huang, who united China; Wuxi at that time belonged to Suzhou. During the Han dynasty, Wuxi was set up as a county by emperor Han Wudi. Historic records show that tin was discovered during the early Han era, leading to conflicts in the area. Soon, however, the tin was depleted. This was once believed to be the origin of the name Wuxi, meaning "no tin." The name was changed to Youxi (有錫), meaning "having tin", duringthe Wang Mang conflicts period because Wang wanted to change the name.Six dynasties, Tang and Song Dynasties[edit]Agriculture and the silk industry flourished in Wuxi and the town became a transportation center under the early Tang Dynasty after the construction of the Grand Canal. Although Suzhou became the center of the Wu area, Wuxi was also important in the county of Wu.Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties[edit]During the Ming Dynasty, Wuxi became a prosperous cultural center. During the late Ming and early Qing periods, Wuxi was a center for political discussion and public opinion. Agriculture, with rice and fish were major products in the Qing period.During the Taiping Rebellion, Wuxi was devastated by the war's destruction, like other parts of the lower Yangtze valley. Warfare disrupted planting in the region.[8] As a result of famine, city dwellers resorted to eating human flesh. There are records of sales of human flesh from this period.[9]During the late 19th century, Wuxi became a center of the textile industry in China and one of the four most important rice markets nationwide. By 1878, Wuxi was the leading silk-producing county in Jiangsu, outstripping even Suzhou, the traditional center of that industry. In the late 19th century, Wuxi was also the regional center for the waterborne transport of grain and a major commercial center.20th century[edit]During the period between 1900 and 1940, Wuxi was considered one of the most important counties in China. In dramatist Cao Yu's well-known drama "Thunderstorm", Wuxi was mentioned several times with a comment "Wuxi is a good place". After the People's Republic of China was set up by the communists in 1949, Wuxi continued to grow in importance, with theestablishment of more textile production and both light and heavy industry. This city was considered the second most important city in Jiangsu Province after the capital Nanjing. However, its developmental model has been criticized for the environmental deterioration caused. New strategies are now under consideration to ensure its sustainable development.GeographyThe city plan, as is typical of many older Chinese cities, is of a central city with a roughly circular plan, crisscrossed with older canals, the main canal still seeing heavy barge traffic.Wuxi itself is on an alluvial plain of deep sedimentary deposits cut between limestone foothills, making it one of the sources for "scholar's rocks", the intricately weathered stones which were used as devices for contemplation.Climate[edit]Wuxi is hot and humid in summer and chilly and damp in winter, with an average annual temperature of 18 °C (64 °F) and very occasional snow. Because of its proximity to the East China Sea, it has a monsoon season and receives 100 centimetres (39 inches) of rain annually.[citatDemographics[edit]According to the 2010 Census, the prefecture-level of Wuxi has a population of 6,372,624, an increase of 1,192,777 from the 2000 census, giving it an annual population growth of 20.9% for the period 2000-2010.[11]Administration[edit]See also: List of administrative divisions of JiangsuThe prefecture-level city of Wuxi administers nine county-level divisions, including7 districts and 2 county-level cities. The information here presented uses the metric system and data from 2010 Census. These districts are sub-divided into 73 township-level divisions, including 59 towns and24 subdistricts.Economy[edit]Currently Wuxi is designated as an investment grade city, and has two large industrial parks devoted to new industries.[citation needed],While being the current manufacturing centerson textiles, there are projects to move to electric motor manufacturing and MRP software development. Wuxi is the solar technology hub in China as two major photovoltaic companies are based in the city. They are Suntech Power and Jetion Holdings Ltd which were listed on overseas stock exchanges. In 2008 new energy industries were worth 37.8 Billion RMB, with the solar photovoltaic industry accounting for 30.2 Billion RMB of the total.[12] The GDP per capita was ¥107,400 (US$17,050) in 2011, ranked first in Jiangsu, ahead of Nanjing and Suzhou.[1]The center of the city is filled with modern high rise buildings and the market is being redeveloped in a postmodern style. 介绍你的家乡无锡英语作文80词

介绍你的家乡无锡英语作文80词全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Hometown - WuxiHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in a really cool city called Wuxi. It's in Jiangsu Province, not too far from Shanghai. Let me tell you all about my awesome hometown!Wuxi is famous for being one of the oldest cities in the Yangtze River Delta region. It has a crazy long history going back over 3,000 years! There are so many ancient relics, historic sites, and traditional gardens. One of the most iconic places is Lingshan Grand Buddha. It's this massive Buddha statue carved into the side of a mountain. Standing at almost 90 feet tall, it's one of the largest Buddha sculptures in all of China! Whenever my family has visitors from out of town, we always take them to see the Grand Buddha. It's just mind-blowing how huge it is.Another famous Wuxi sight is Lingshan Scenic Area where the Grand Buddha is located. It's this beautiful park filled with little hills, trails, rivers, and gorgeous gardens. My favorite is theJie Garden with its amazing bonsai trees and perfect little landscapes. I love exploring all the winding pathways and imagining I'm a monk from ancient times. It's so peaceful and serene.Wuxi is also famous for its Taihu Lake Rock Gardens. See, we have this special type of oddly-shaped limestone rock that's perfect for making miniature landscapes. Local artists arrange the rocks along with tiny trees, buildings, and figurines to create these amazingly detailed scenes. My uncle is actually a rock garden artist and his work is displayed in museums and parks around the city. I've tried making my own little rock gardens too - it's much harder than it looks! Our city has tons of other cool stuff as well. Like Brilliant Pearl TV Tower which is over 600 feet tall and has awesome views from the top. There are also tons of bustling shopping areas with modern malls and traditional street markets. The Nanchang Street Snack District is my personal fave - you can find every snack food imaginable there!Overall, Wuxi is such an amazing place to grow up. We have this perfect blend of ancient history and culture combined with modern amenities. The scenery here is beautiful, from lush greenparks to the shimmering Taihu Lake. And of course, the cuisine is to-die-for. Wuxi is the complete package!I feel so lucky to call this place my hometown. There's truly no other city quite like Wuxi. If you ever get the chance to visit, you'll see why I love it so much. Just don't forget to bring your appetite for soup dumplings!篇2My Hometown of WuxiWuxi is a pretty city in Jiangsu Province, China. It has lots of canals and lakes which earned it the name "Little Venice." The Grand Canal, the longest canal in the world, goes right through Wuxi! We have delicious local foods like Wuxi spare ribs and Huangxing wine. Famous attractions include Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Area and Li Garden. Wuxi is known for making silk, pottery, and pearls. I love watching the colored lanterns during holidays. Wuxi is a great place to live!篇3My hometown is Wuxi, a beautiful city in Jiangsu Province, China. It's famous for its scenic lakes, classical gardens, and delicious xiaolongbao dumplings. I love walking along thelakesides and playing in the gardens. The food is so yummy too! Wuxi is really a nice place to live.My Hometown WuxiHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm going to tell you all about my awesome hometown Wuxi. It's this really cool city in the Jiangsu province of China. You're going to love learning about it!First off, Wuxi is famous for its beautiful scenery. We have these incredible lakes right in the heart of the city! The biggest ones are Taihu Lake and Lihu Lake. They've been around for like a bazillion years and people have written so many poems about how pretty they are. Whenever I go to the parks along the lakesides, I feel like I'm in a painting or something. The willows dip their branches into the shimmering water and there are little boats drifting across the surface. It's just so peaceful and calming. My favorite thing is feeding the ducks and swans that swim around. I bring bags of breadcrumbs and they'll flock right over to me - it's the best!Another amazing thing about Wuxi is our classical Chinese gardens. We've got tons of them scattered all over the city. My favorite is the Lingshan Scenic Area which has the most gorgeous Buddhist temples nestled in among the gardens. Youcan wander along the winding paths and see beautiful pavilions, rock gardens, ponds with koi fish, and striking ancient trees. It's like being transported back in time to the Ming Dynasty era or something. I love ringing the big bronze bells they have in the courtyards and listening to the resonating bongs echo all around. Then of course there's the food! Wuxi is renowned across China for our xiaolongbao soup dumplings. They're these delicate little baskets made of dough that are filled with hot broth and minced pork or crab meat. You pick them up with your chopsticks and slurp out the soup first, then dip the dumpling in vinegar and eat it. It's an art form really - my grandma is a master xiaolongbao maker and she taught me how to pleat the dough into these intricate folds. Her dumplings are honestly the most delicious things I've ever tasted! We've got hundreds of dumpling restaurants all over the city. Whenever family comes to visit, we have to take them on a xiaolongbao tour to try all the different famous shops.Wuxi also has some other amazing dishes like tangquan noodles. They're these chewy, doughy noodles about as thick as a pencil that you dip in this savory broth and pair with different toppings. My favorites are the ones with sliced beef, greenonions, and fiery chili oil. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! For dessert, we love eating fried dough twists called youxianguan. They're kind of like chewy churros coated in sesame seeds and stuffed with sweet red bean paste. So addictive! You know, one of the coolest things to do in Wuxi is take a boat tour around the canals and waterways that crisscross the whole city. The tour guides point out all the historic buildings, bridges, and pagodas as you glide beneath little stone archways. At night, everything is illuminated with twinkling lights and looks just magical. The air smells like night-blooming jasmine flowers and smoky street food carts grilling skewers of meats and veggies.I really could go on forever about my beloved hometown! It's such a special place that perfectly blends ancient tradition with modern energy. The culture, the scenery, the cuisine - it's all just so amazing. If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll see why us Wuxi natives are so proud of our city. I feel so lucky to call this jewel of the Yangtze River region my home sweet home!篇4My Hometown WuxiHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born and raised in the amazing city of Wuxi, located in the Jiangsu province of China. Wuxi is such a cool place, and I want to tell you all about it!First of all, Wuxi is famous for its beautiful scenery. There are so many pretty parks and gardens here. One of my favorites is Lingshan Scenic Area. It has lots of little hills, ponds, and stone bridges. My friends and I love exploring the trails and feeding the fish and ducks. The trees are so green and everything looks like a painting!Another neat place in Wuxi is Nanchang Street. It's an old pedestrian area with traditional Chinese buildings and shops. You can find all kinds of yummy snacks there like fried dough twists, candied hawthorn fruits, and my personal favorite - tang yuan (sticky rice balls). The aromas wafting through the air are mouthwatering. My grandma likes to take me there to buy ingredients for her amazing cooking.Speaking of food, Wuxi has some of the best in the whole country! We're famous for our "xiao long bao" which are delicious soup dumplings. You have to be really careful when eating them so the hot soup doesn't squirt out. My dad is a xiao long bao master and can eat a whole steamer basket in no time.Wuxi cuisine also has lots of braised and stewed dishes that are so flavorful. Whenever my aunt visits from another city, she always asks us to take her for Wuxi food. But Wuxi isn't just about eating and sightseeing. We also have a lot of fun cultural activities. Every spring there is the Bortze Peach Blossom Festival where people go watch colorful dances and listen to folk music. Sometimes I get to perform with my school's fan dancing group. And in the summer, we have amazing lotus flower exhibits and dragon boat races on the lake. I've been practicing really hard so I can join my uncle's dragon boat team next year!Wuxi even has its own special traditions that make it unique. During the Qingming Festival, we go sweep the graves of our ancestors and make offerings like burning fake paper money and buns. It's to honor our families that came before us. My favorite part is flying kites with my cousins at the end. We have the coolest kites in all kinds of shapes like dragons and butterflies. There's just so much cool stuff to do in Wuxi all year round. We get to enjoy the lake breezes in summer, watch colorful autumn leaves in the fall, and have snowball fights in winter. No matter the season, you can find locals and visitors alike relaxingin one of our picturesque tea houses while sipping on fragrant brews. Wuxi really is a special place.Wuxi may not be a huge famous city like Beijing or Shanghai, but in my opinion it's one of the greatest places on earth. It has a perfect blend of natural scenery, rich culture and history, yummy food, and fun times for kids like me. No matter how old I get or where I go in life, Wuxi will always be my warm and welcoming hometown. I hope you get a chance to visit someday and experience the charm for yourself! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇5My Hometown WuxiWuxi is my hometown and I love it so much! It's a city in Jiangsu province with lots of pretty lakes and gardens. Get ready to learn some cool facts and hear some funny stories!Wuxi is a big city in Jiangsu Province, near Shanghai. You can get there by plane, train or car pretty easily. With over 3 million people living here, it's a crowded but fun place. One of the best things about Wuxi is all the lakes and rivers. We have so much pretty water everywhere! The biggest lake is called Taihu Lake and it's just huge. You can go boating, fishing or just walking along the shore. My favorite part is seeing the cool sunrise and sunset reflections on the water.Another awesome thing is Lingshan Grand Buddha. This giant Buddha statue is 88 meters tall - that's as high as a 26 story building! It's one of the largest Buddha statues in the wholeworld. You can walk up inside the statue and look out from the body. It feels weird but really cool.Lingshan also has over 600 other Buddhist statues in the area. My dad told me that Lingshan means "Soul's Mountain" because people believed the mountain had healing powers for your spirit. Pretty neat, huh?Okay, next up is Nanchan Temple. This is an ancient Buddhist temple that was first built over 1,500 years ago! It has the tallest spiral brick pagoda in the world at 76 meters high. Nanchan means "Southern Celestial Mountain" because people thought it was the home of celestial beings or immortals. They have these epic statues of fierce-looking door gods guarding the entrances. My little brother was scared of them at first but I told him they were just there to keep bad guys out. We also watched some monks doing meditation and chanting - it was so peaceful and mystical. For shopping and food, you have to go to Nanchang Street. This crazy pedestrian area is lined with tiny shops and restaurants. It's always jam-packed with people browsing, eating, and having fun.My favorite snack from there is the spiral-shaped fried dough twists covered in sugar. They're crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle - sooo yummy! You can also find people dressed up in traditional Chinese clothes willing to take pictures with you for a few kuai.Lastly, we can't forget about Wuxi's claim to fame - it's the "Lit City" known for making brilliant lights and lanterns. There's a whole Lights and Lanterns Museum dedicated to the history and culture of lantern-making here.During the holidays, they have these epic lantern festivals with thousands of beautiful lanterns hung up everywhere. It looks like a magical, glowing wonderland! I always beg my parents to let me stay out late to see it.Well, that's Wuxi in a nutshell! We've got stunning natural scenery, incredible ancient temples, crazy street markets, and the coolest lantern traditions. It's a vibrant, fascinating city full of history and culture.I'm so lucky to call Wuxi my home. Hopefully you can come visit someday and experience it for yourself. Just be ready for the heat and humidity in the summer - it's no joke! Other than that, prepare to be dazzled by my one-of-a-kind hometown. Thanks for listening!篇2Here's an essay introducing Wuxi, written in English at an intermediate level suitable for middle school students, with a length of around 2,000 words:Wuxi: A City of Wonders and DelightsHave you ever heard of Wuxi? It's a fantastic city in China that I recently visited, and let me tell you, it's a place full of surprises! Wuxi is located in the eastern part of China, in the Jiangsu Province, and it's known for its beautiful scenery, rich history, and tasty food. Get ready to embark on an exciting journey with me as I share the highlights of this amazing city! One of the first things that caught my eye in Wuxi was the stunning natural beauty. The city is blessed with several breathtaking lakes, and the most famous one is Lake Taihu. This massive freshwater lake is a true gem, with its shimmering waters stretching as far as the eye can see. During my visit, I had the chance to take a boat ride on the lake, and the views were simply incredible. The gentle ripples on the water, the lush greenery surrounding the lake, and the occasional flocks of birds soaring overhead – it was like stepping into a painting! But Wuxi isn't just about natural beauty; it's also a city with a rich historical heritage. One of the must-visit attractions is the Lingshan Grand Buddha, a colossal Buddha statue that stands tall at an impressive 88 meters (288 feet) high! Imagine how tiny I felt standing next to this massive Buddha. It's an awe-inspiring sight that left me in complete amazement. The intricate carvings and the peaceful expression on the Buddha's face made me feel a sense of calm and serenity.Another historical gem in Wuxi is the Nanchan Temple, a Buddhist temple that dates back to the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD). As I wandered through the temple grounds, I was struck by the ancient architecture, the intricate carvings, and the serene atmosphere. It was like stepping back in time and experiencing a piece of history firsthand.Of course, no visit to Wuxi would be complete without indulging in the delicious local cuisine. One of the must-try dishes is the famous Wuxi spare ribs, which are slow-cooked to perfection and glazed with a sweet and savory sauce. The meat literally fell off the bone, and the flavors were an explosion of deliciousness in my mouth! Another local specialty is the Wuxi fried dumplings, which are crispy on the outside and filled withjuicy pork and vegetable fillings. I could easily eat a dozen of those in one sitting! But Wuxi isn't just about food and sights; it's also a city with a thriving culture. During my visit, I had the chance to attend a traditional Chinese opera performance, and I was mesmerized by the colorful costumes, intricate makeup, and the melodic singing. It was like stepping into a different world, where ancient traditions came alive on stage. One of the things that struck me the most about Wuxi was the friendly and welcoming nature of its people. Wherever I went, I was greeted with warm smiles and helpful gestures. Even though I didn't speak much Chinese, the locals were patient and went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my visit. As my time in Wuxi came to an end, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and appreciation for this incredible city. From the stunning natural landscapes to the rich cultural heritage, and from the mouth-watering cuisine to the warm hospitality of the locals, Wuxi truly is a city that offers something for everyone. If you ever get the chance to visit Wuxi, grab it with both hands! Get ready to learn some fun facts!Wuxi is in Jiangsu Province, not too far from the major cities of Shanghai and Nanjing. It sits along the beautiful Lake Taihu. The city has been around for over 3,000 years, so it's super old with a ton of amazing history. One of the coolest things about Wuxi is all the canals and bridges everywhere. There are even little boats called gondolas that you can ride down the canals. Parts of the city almost look like Venice in Italy! That's why Wuxi's nickname is the "Venice of the East."The canal area in the city center is called Nanchang Street. It's lined with ancient houses, shops, restaurants and those classic stone bridges arching over the waterways. I lovewandering around there, watching the gondola riders and trying yummy street foods like candied hawthorn fruits.Speaking of food, Wuxi is famous for its amazing cuisine! We have so many delicious local dishes like xian doujiang (salty soybean milk), baci wonton soup, and my personal favorite - deep fried spicyiao chicken. Yum! My mouth waters just thinking about it.Our most iconic snack, though, has to be Wuxi tanghulu - super fresh, juicy fruits covered in a crispy, sugary coating. Vendors walk around the streets selling tanghulu from little carts. On hot summer days, it's the best treat ever! Just don't drop the sticky candy onto your clothes. There are tons of beautiful gardens and temples to explore in Wuxi too. The Lingshan Grand Buddha is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world at almost 90 meters tall! You can actually go up inside the statue's body. So cool!Another must-see is the Brilliant Pearls Garden with its amazing bonsai trees, ponds and gardens based on the classics of Chinese literature. My class went on a field trip there and I had a blast spotting all the miniature scenes from famous stories like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. For nature lovers, Lake Taihu is the big attraction. It's one of China's largest freshwater lakes with lots of little islands and beautiful shore scenery. You can take a boat tour to see the famous "Three Whites" - the white lake, white clouds and white birds! On clear days, the lake and sky seem to merge into one.My family likes to go on hikes around the lake to spot wildlife like herons, egrets and other cool birds. We always stop for a picnic lunch of xiaolongbao soup dumplings - a Wuxi specialty. Nothing beats the taste of fresh xiaolongbao from the steamer basket!Wuxi is also famous as a center for China's silk production. At places like the National Silk Museum, you can learn all about the life cycle of silkworms and see antique looms used for weaving intricate silk fabrics. It's pretty interesting, even if you're not really into fashion. The museum has a fun silk workshop where I got to try silk spinning and weaving myself. I even brought home a little silk bracelet that I made! Silk has been a huge part of Wuxi's culture and economy for centuries.I could go on and on about Wuxi's many sights, but I'd better wrap this up. I hope I've convinced you that my hometown is a truly awesome place to visit! With our incredible history, beautiful scenery, yummy food and cool attractions, Wuxi has something for everyone.Next time you're in eastern China, be sure to stop by the "Pearl of Taihu Lake."
