Should animals be used in testing new drugs and procedures?Sample 1:Medical research involving animals has dramatically improved the health of the human race.(paraphrase)Without animal testing, the cure for polio would not exist and diabetics would suffer or die from their disease.(one side)Despite these benefits, some people believe that animals should not be used for testing medical techniques and drugs.(opposite side)This essay will outline the advantages of animal testing.(thesis)Sample 2:Every year, millions of animals undergo painful suffering or death as a result of scientific research into the effects of drugs, food additives, cosmetics and other chemical products.(paraphrase)While most people think animal testing is necessary,(one side) others are upset by what they see as needless suffering.(opposite side)This essay looks at some of the positive and negative aspects of animal testing. (thesis)Sample 3:Today, it is not uncommon to use animals for experimentation purposes in medical research or cosmetics business.(paraphrase)In this essay, I will look at the pros and cons of animal testing. I how to explain an idea真题举例:Topic: Should governments continue to finance public schools?Viewpoint: Governments should continue to finance public schools.Main body 1:First and foremost, government funding of public schools gives many children, especially those economically disadvantaged, opportunities to get proper education. Not all parents can afford to send their children to private schools because of the increasing tuition fees. Through this way, public schools play an important role in the society. They give more children opportunities to get proper education since these schools are cheaper and more affordable.Main body 2:Moreover,having sufficient funding means the ability to hire excellent teachers for public schools. If governments continue funding public schools, then these schools will have sufficient budget to pay for top caliber teaching staff. Excellent teachers do not come cheap most of the time. Their experience and knowledge should be well-comprehended. In other words, their salaries should be commensurate with their academic achievement.II How to give examples and facts真题举例:Topic: Do the negative influences of media outweigh its positive ones?Body paragraph:Sometimes, discussing the merits and demerits of the various forms of media is extremely complex. By this I mean the same thing can be both bad and good. For example, many people worry about the violence in TV programs and their effect on young people.Conversely, many people consider that these same programs are an opportunity for us to release our stronger emotions, our feelings of anger or anxiety. Topic: With the increasing use of mobile phones and computers, less people tend to write letters. Some people even think the skill of writing letters will disappear completely. To what extent do you agree or disagree?Body paragraph:In spite of all this, there are certain occasions when letters are still the number one choice. The wedding invitations always seem more formal and sincere if hand-written; holiday cards with ink will often delight us more; and a carefully written love letter may intrigue or move your beloved one more easily. So letter writing is still necessary even in this Internet era andsometimes unique with its physical being as against other virtual forms of communication. Clearly, there is still a place for the hand-written letter and there is no evidence that this place will be taken by technology in the future.III How to make comparison and contrast1. Topic: The advantages and disadvantages of performing daily tasks online. Body paragraph:It is clear that fulfilling some tasks without seeing people face to face is highly efficient. In the past,if we needed to buy something, we had to go to the shopping mall, but nowadays all can be done with a click of a mouse and the goods will be delivered home, even at a lower price. And if we want to make a transaction from one bank account to another, we do not have to go directly to a bank and wait for a desperately long queue; instead we may comfortably make use of the self-banking service at home provided access to the Internet. Thus, efficiency of work and life has been both highly improved owing to the technological advances.2. Topic: The importance of learning computer technologyBody paragraph:It is important that college students should learn adequate computer skills. This is an information age where the Internet is a master key to almost all the knowledge and information available. So a good understanding of the computer technology will give a student an edge in the society today. On the other hand, if one has little knowledge of computer skills, the student will probably lag behind the times, in danger of being excluded from what is going on in the world.3. Topic: Is the city life a better choice for children?Body paragraph:What is more, children can enjoy a more colorful life in cities. There are various cultural activities organized and more advanced facilities available for children to enjoy, such as exhibitions, galleries, museums and theaters. Therefore, in cities children are much more experienced and knowledgeable than those in the country, who live a simple and monotonous life and tend to be more unenlightened for lack of adequate information.IV How to classifySample Topic: Send children to boarding schools or day schools?Viewpoint: Children should be sent to boarding schools.Body paragraph:Boarding schools are ideal for parents whose work takes them aboard or who are otherwise unable to offer t heir children a “normal” home life after school and at weekends. The children are looked after by professionals and the children learn to be independent of their parents from an early age. Topic: Some people argue that teaching children of different abilities together benefits all of them. Others believe that intelligent children should be taught separately and given special treatment. Discuss both views and how do you think about it.Viewpoint: Students should be taught separately.Body paragraph:The most obvious advantages lies in the fact that it allows teachers to employ different pedagogic strategies suited to the particular group of pupils. For example, for the more intelligent students who are more likely to have a quicker mind and a stronger knowledge thirsty intention, teachers or tutors can include something more difficult or complex in their syllabus, catering for the special needs. On the other hand, some other students who are not that intelligent may be slow at learning or acquiring new knowledge or skills, a correspondingly suitable teaching strategy then is highly desirable. In this case, the separate teaching scheme is generally good for both groups of students, since teachers can thereafter design different courses and teaching methods catering for their special needs.(二) 驳论段写作Sample 1真题举例:Topic: Should costs of higher education be paid by the government? Viewpoint: The costs can be paid by government loads.Body paragraph:With a tendency to hold that higher education is no longer compulsory, many people then claim that it should be funded by students themselves instead of the government. This indeed reduces governments’ financial burden to a certain extent and it is argued that students’ motivation would be highly strengthened since they have paid a large amount of fees to obtain the access. But the downsides should not be neglected. That is mainly tosay, the economically disadvantaged groups, for example, children of impoverished farmers in remote rural areas and laid-off workers in cities, may be put at an extreme disadvantage, and therefore should be assured of an equal chance to access the university education by the government. Topic:Some people believe that air travel should be restricted because it causes serious pollution and uses up the world’s fuel resources. To what extent do you agree or disagree?Viewpoint: Disagree with the opinion.Body paragraph:Of course, there is no denying that traveling by plane produces greenhouse gases and is fuel-consuming. But one fact should be made clear that the main source of world’s emissions is private cars rather than airplanes. Moreover, alternative energies are being explored and some have already come into being. It is imaginable that in the near future we will be able to enjoy the journey from Beijing to London in planes powered by new energy. Topic: Should governments fund space exploration? Conclusion:To conclude,I am in support of the opinion that governments should fund space exploration. However, they should only allot a reasonable budget for this for the fact that their top priority is always to improve the living conditions of their citizens. Topic: Differences between countries are becoming less evident nowadays. People tend to have the same films, music, brands, TV channels, etc. To what extent do you think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages? Conclusion:Overall, I am quite optimistic about the prospect of an increasingly similar world. Of course, some minority groups may be put at a disadvantage for they cannot receive equal attention as the superpowers. So I also advocate that government or other bodies should make efforts to bring these minorities into the international horizon.。

There is an issue of what are the purposes of the places like museums. Some people suggest that the government should invest a small amount of money, others think the museum is a financial burden to society. What is your opinion? And how should they be funded?
Currently a growing number of governments are investing some money in museums. Some people believe this will benefit the whole society while others maintain that the government should tighten its budget and spend the money on more important things. T o my mind, the former view does make sense. We can hardly lose sight of the fact that every country prides itself on the glory of its own history. Undoubtedly, the museum, which usually boasts a collection of objects of artistic and historical value, plays a vital role in recording a country’s history. By visiting museums, we can not only learn about our history and civilization, but gradually cultivate a sense of social responsibility, which normally stems from a clear understanding of mankind’s history. For instance, if young people come to know what their ancestors have contributed to the development of their country, they will be inspired to dedicate themselves to the economic well-being of society. Moreover, in the museum, they will also learn something that can not be acquired from books. In addition, revelling in nostalgic memories is likely to be a sort of great enjoyment and relaxation. Therefore, it will be beneficial to the whole society if the government takes the lead in funding museums. However, we have to admit that some countries, especially poor ones, may have difficulty spending a large sum of money in this respect, but they are able to organize fundraising activities so that wealthy members of society can donate money to public facilities such as museums. As far as I know, this is common practice in many countries. In the final analysis, it is quite clear that museums are treasure troves of mankind. The government, as well as the individuals, should endeavour to provide enough funds for them to be on the right track. We can hardly lose sight of the fact that…, boast a collection of objects of artistic and historical value, reveling in nostalgic memories, is likely to be…等等。

It is a black iPhone 5, one of the most popular cellphones on the street 3 years ago. It is about 4 inches and gives you perfect feeling when you hold it. Since I am not allowed to take it in, it is now lying on the desk at the entrance of this examination building. But usually, I would put it in my trousers’ pocket and take it wherever I go. Even if I was home, I would keep it at my hand, because it is the most important way to keep contact with the outside world and I do not want to miss any important calls or enjoyable conversations with my friends.I bought it 4 years ago. At that time, I had already had a cellphone. But being attracted by the appearance of Iphone 5, I had always wanted to buy one. Unfortunately, my parents held a differentopinion. They thought it was a waste of money and belived that I would use it to play games, which would interfere with my study. To get it, I found a job in a restaurant during that year’s summer vacatin. This article is from Laokaoya website. Do not copy or repost it. After two months’ hard work, I finally got the enough money and bought it without any hesitation.Although it used to be my favorite, it is a bit out of date now. First, its screen is not big enough, which has a negative impact on the experience of reading messages and news. Moreover, its performance is inferior compared to the latest ones and operating the lastest games is far beyond its capability. When my classmates get together and talk about what they have played recently, I can do nothing but remain silent. Sometimes I feel I am isolated. Therefore I want to replace it with the newest Iphone X.雅思口语Part 3What other things in your home you want to be replaced?Who need new things, the old man or the children?Whether old man in china always like to store up things at home, why? The hardest part was shadow coloring that Snow Whites mirror…And this was the hallway of the school, in a Disney CastleTheme. Then, we sent them by the school bus to the nearest Hotel where each got a room just to wear their Tutu princess dresses . We were against doing the ceremony in school, as they do there everyday. We wanted somewhere different, somewhere where its related to a Castle. And here you go, the Unmayyad ruins of Anjar, a historic place which is a UNESCO world heritage center. But how could we get the whole school there? We came up with the solution of them playing Rally Paper in town, where the final destination would be the Unmayyad Ruins of Anjar. There , we had prepared them some games ( finding the treasure , water wars, asking them how much they knew about their characters…)before cutting the cake. And they loved everything!Thats me on the right.Just got in time for the picture.Needless to say, school days were the best!I want a time-machine….NOW! Part 3Do rich people more happier than poor people?Do people happy when they do their work?If a people was poor at first then suddenly become wealth, will he become happy? What makes people more happy during their work, high salariesor something?Do you enjoy work?Do you think money makes people happy and whyWhy many rich people feel unhappyWhy many people don’t like their jobs雅思口语part2话题:公共出行Describe a trip by public transportYou should sayWhere do you goWhy choose this public transportAnd how you feel about it雅思口语part2参考范文Public transports, according to my father are the safest means of commuting from one place to another. So, one day, while coming back from shopping, I got late and decided to go by public transport. The place that I went to was 1 hour away from the training center where I had my accommodation fixed. When I boarded the bus, it was kind of filled and I did not got any seat to sit. However, I thought that it might get empty as the journey would begin as people might start leaving the bus and would go for their homes. But, it was a wrong speculation made which I realized later on. With time passing by, more and more people started filling in and at onepoint of time we were all standing neck to neck with each other having no space between two bodies. To worsen the situation, the bus did not had any opened windows and after some time it became very suffocating. Initially, I thought I will be able to bare it but to my surprise, after twenty minutes I fainted. I could barely stand and the girl sitting next to me, gave me her seat. It was a lovely gesture that she did and I thanked her for it.The seat was a real relief, although there were still so many people standing on my head, with me being able to sit, I was able to regain some energy. The girl left the bus after some time and the one hour long journey came to end after some time.It was a real terrific experience for me because I was emaciated and torn. It was that day that I swore not to travel by public transport. However, later I had to because of certain reasons, but the travel was fine. I suppose, it must have been a bad day.Public transports are the most common way to commute between cities in our country. Most of the people use public transports like city bus or inter-city buses to travel. Last month I had to go to Puri to visit the Puri Rath Yatra and planned to travel by a taxi. However, due to some reasons the taxi driver refused to come and I had to travel using public transport. I chose the city bus to reach the bus stand and then from there took the bus to reach Puri.Initially, I did not got seat for five minutes, but the conductor was kind enough to make changes in the seat arrangement and make sure that I have the seat, in the next five minutes. I got a window seat and was able to see the scenery outside. It was a real beautiful experiencefor me as it was the time of Rath yatra and along with me there were several other devotees. Some of them started chanting mantras and songs in praise of their deities. The entire environment was so soothing and nice that one could just instantly fall in love with everything.I reached Puri in about an hour and half and from there went to the Rath Yatra. On coming back, I again preferred the city bus service as I found them really nice and comfortable. Part 3Why so many people choose to take the public transport? What kind of public transports in chinaDo you think the ownership of private cars is the symbol of status?People like the private cars or the public transport?Whether the government should encourage the public transport, why? What is the most favorite public transport, why?

一.Some people contend(认为)that advertising has positive impact on society while others think it also has negative influence. Discuss.开头段⑴Advertising has become prevalent in the contemporary society and vast billboards, TV commercials and leaflets(传单)are all exerting profound impact on modern life. ⑵In the meantime, whether advertising is a blessing or a curse has sparked spirited (激烈的)debate. ⑶Some people argu e (认为)that advertising has only beneficial influence on our lives while many others contend that it has detrimental (有害的)effect as well.
)⑷Personally, I am in favor of the former (latter) view. (表示自己的观点)表示利与弊的英文:advantages and disadvantages strengths and weaknesses the upside and the downside / pros and cons / boons and banes主体段1Admittedly, advertising may also carry considerable potential drawbacks. ⑴To begin with, a vast number o f online advertisements may harm the Internet users’ lives. ⑵To illustrate, email spamming (群发)may fill up one’s email box with junk emails and worse yet, (递进)many of these junk emails could destroy PCs with viruses or Trojan horses. ⑶Moreover, a high percentage of advertisements in the media are misleading ones. ⑷Today, it seems that many drug companies give false information about their products, which has rendered (让……变成什么状态)a host of customers afraid to buy medicine.主体段2Despite this, advertising has brought numerous benefits. ⑴In the first place, advertisements inform us about the latest products on the market. ⑵In general, with the help of ads, customers can make shopping more economical and less time-consuming.⑶In the second place, elaborate (包含了很多劳动,变成了精心制作)advertisements can be a genuine art form. ⑷Indeed, instead of wasting our time, creative ads can afford us diverse amusements, thereby (后面是动名词)immensely brightening up our lives. ⑸Last but not least, some advertising in the media can motivate people to contribute to charities. ⑹As a matter of fact, I would be hard-pressed to imagine how charities can get enough funds without the help of non-profit ads. (我很难想象相反的事情发生)结尾段⑴In the final analysis, I concede that the proliferation (扩散)of the advertising industry does not come without any adverse effects. (概括让步段的观点)⑵However, the benefits created by advertising far outweigh the disadvantages. (说清楚自己更倾向的观点)⑶Overall, I am convinced that we should further promote the development of advertising and meanwhile get this industry better-regulated.二.Today PC games are very popular among teenagers. But some parents consider that these games are not instructive and that teenagers should be kept away from them. What do you think? As one of the products of modern technology, PC games have definitely become an indispensable part of most teenagers’ lives. Statistics show that teenagers are spending more time and money on entertainment items such as PC games than they did ten years ago. However, in my opinion, although PC games have certain positive effects such as giving teenagers relaxation and activating their imaginations, they have certain negative effects.First, PC games occupy the time when teenagers should be sitting in the classroom or studying in the library. The colorful pictures and vivid characters of PC games are far more exciting than the dull black letters in textbooks. Therefore, addiction to PC games is often accompanied by poor academic work.Furthermore, far from being instructive, some PC games contain violence and pornography, which are extremely harmful for the healthy growth of teenagers. It is said that most juvenile delinquents commit crimes just because their PC game heroes do so in a virtual-reality world. In addition, speaking from the physical aspect, PC games have contributed a lot to failing eyesight among teenagers in recent years. To sum up, despite their entertainment and relaxation values, PC games interfere with the education of teenagers. It would be better if teenagers could use such games in a more rational and controlled way, perhaps under the supervision of their parents. Writing Task 2You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic: Nowadays we are producing more and more rubbish. Why do you think this is happening? What can governments do to reduce the amount of rubbish produced? It is true that in almost every country today each family produces a large amount of waste every week. Most of the rubbish comes from the packaging of the things we buy, such as processed food. However, even if we buy food without packaging, we still produce rubbish from the plastic bags that are used everywhere. The first reason why we have so much packaging is that we consume so much more every day than families did in the past. Also, convenience is very important in modern life; therefore, we buy packaged food that can be transported over long distances and store it until we need it, at first in the supermarket, then at home.Further, the amount of waste produced is also a result of our habit of using something once and throw it away. We forget that even the cheapest plastic bag has used valuable resources and energy. Above all, we also forget that it is a source of pollution and difficult to dealwith. Therefore, I think that governments need to raise this awareness in the general public. Children should be educated about environmental issues at school while adults need to take action. Governments can encourage such action by collecting taxes on packaging, such as plastic bags and fining families and shops that do not try to recycle their Waste.。

Some people think that strict punishments for driving offences are the key to reducing traffic accidents. Others, however, believe that other measures would be more effective in improving road safety. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.范文:People have differing views with regard to the question of how to make our roads safer. In my view, both punishments and a range of other measures can be used together to promote better driving habits. On the one hand, strict punishments can certainly help to encourage people to drive more safely. Penalties for dangerous drivers can act as a deterrent, meaning that people avoid repeating the same offence. There are various types of driving penalty, such as small fines, licence suspension, driver awareness courses, and even prison sentences. The aim of these punishments is to show dangerous drivers that their actions have negative consequences. As a result, we would hope that drivers become more disciplined and alert, and that they follow the rules more carefully. On the other hand, I believe that safe driving can be promoted in several different ways that donot punish drivers. Firstly, it is vitally important to educatepeople properly before they start to drive, and this could be done in schools or even as part of an extended or more difficult driving test. Secondly, more attention could be paid to safe road design. For example, signs can be used to warn people, speed bumps and road bends can be added to calm traffic, and speed cameras can help to deter people from driving too quickly. Finally, governments or local councils could reduce road accidents by investing in better public transport, which would mean that fewer people would need to travel by car.In conclusion, while punishments can help to prevent bad driving, I believe that other road safety measures should also be introduced. As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?范文:Businesses have always sought to make a profit, but it is becoming increasingly common to hear people talk about the social obligations that companies have. I completely agree with the idea that businesses should do more for society than simply make money. On the one hand, I accept that businesses must make money in order to survive in a competitive world. It seems logical that the priority of any company should be to cover its running costs, such as employees’ wages and payments for buildings and utilities. On top of these costs, companies also need to invest in improvements and innovations if they wish to remain successful. If a company is unable to pay its bills or meet the changing needs of customers, any concerns about social responsibilities become irrelevant. In other words, a company can only make a positivecontribution to society if it is in good financial health. On the other hand, companies should not be run with the sole aim of maximising profit; they have a wider role to play in society. One social obligation that owners and managers have is to treat their employees well, rather than exploiting them. For example, they could pay a “living wage” to ensure that workers have a good quality of life. I also like the idea that businesses could use a proportion of their profits to support local charities, environmental projects or education initiatives. Finally, instead of trying to minimise their tax payments by using accounting loopholes, I believe that company bosses should be happy to contribute to society through the tax system. In conclusion, I believe that companies should place as much importance on their social responsibilities as they do on their financial objectives.。

【1】Some people insist that senior workers 65 or over should retire but others believe that they should continue working. What is you opinion?Model Answer:Over the past few decades [In the past], there have been many advances in medical technology. Because of this, senior citizens are healthier and more active than before and may choose to work beyond the age of 65. Nowadays, however, there has been a growing debate as to whether or not these people should retire in order to create jobs for the younger generation. Despite the advantages of early retirement, I strongly believe that it is better for senior workers to continue working as long as they are physically and mentally capable. Those who believe that senior workers need to retire for younger generation base their case on the following arguments. First, the unemployment rate, especially for college graduates, has never been so high so it is today. This is largely due to the slow economy. Therefore, firing some elderly workers who are well-paid would allow those unemployed young people to have good opportunities to get a job. In addition, replacing older workers with young people would bring greater benefits to companies [=employers]. This is because youngsters are better at adapting themselves to fast changing information basedsociety. They are generally better at computers and speaking foreign languages than their older counterparts.Nevertheless, people should not ignore the fact that senior citizens have been playing vital roles both at home and at work for their entire lives. To begin with, a young person's need for a job is no more important than an older person's. Both have a responsibility to support their families. Sadly, few seniors can afford early retirement. Besides, senior workers provide the wisdom and experience that young employees cannot offer. There is strong [=acute] possibility of situations arising that require the knowledge of skilled senior employees. In summary, the advantages of keeping seasoned workers far outweigh its disadvantages. There are high hopes that employers exercise wisdom [=caution] in dealing with this issue. 【2】What discovery in the last 100 years has been most beneficial for people in your country?Model Answer:I am from Russia. From my opinion the most beneficial discovery for people in our country has been the discovery of the outer space. Russia is the first country that launched a spacecraft with a man on the board into the space. This event was a big step towards the new discoveries and brought many benefits not only for people in my country. Bellow I will give my reasons to support my answer.First of all, all humankind made a huge step towards the mystery of our creation. Scientists had the opportunity to do the new research and experiments. Many new discoveries were made on the boards of the spacecrafts in the outer space. People from all over the world watched these events. Many books with realcolorful photos were written about the beginning of the space exploration. Nowadays we have a big station called "Mir" in the outer space created on the base of collaboration USA and Russia. Many people work there doing amazing experiments.Second of all, the world became "smaller". People learnt how to exchange information very quickly by use of satellites. Television is broad-casted all over the world by use of satellites. Here in Houston I can watch Russian programs. People got the opportunity to exchange news very quickly. To sum up, I believe that space exploration will bring much more benefits in the future and someday we will learn what is beyond our current galaxy. 【3】Some people think women should be allowed to join the army, the navy and the air force just like men.To what extent do you agree or disagree?Model Answer:Whether women should be allowed to serve in the military has triggered spirited debate. Some assert that women should be allowed to defend their country in the same capacity as their male peers. Personally, I agree with their assertion for two reasons.History has shown that women are fully capable of performing well in the military. Historically, there were a host of valiant women soldiers whose achievements really put their male counterparts to shame. One need only look at the classic examples of Joan of Arc and Mulan to see how exceptionally women could perform on the battlefield. In my observation, their determination, courage and dignity, to this day, are still being admired by male soldiers and civilians alike throughout the world. Moreover, from an enlightened standpoint, female patriots should be granted the right to go to the front line when their motherland is involved in a war. Admittedly, gender inequality was a highly controversial issue in the twentieth century. However, now twelve years into the new millennium, women can learn and teach, work and supervise, vote and voted in most countries just like men. In light of this sweeping progress in gender equality, there is no sense in denying them the right to defend their home country when a war breaks out.In sum, keeping military services out of bounds of women in the information age is unwarranted. I have been convinced that it is in the best interest of a nation if women are also granted equal rights in this particular arena.。

---**Sample Answer for IELTS Writing Task 2:****Topic:** Some people believe that international trade and its benefits are important for the world"s economy, while others argue that it is harmful to the local industries and workers.Discuss both views and give your own opinion.**Introduction:**The issue of international trade has long been a subject of debate. While some argue that it is essential for the global economy, others contend that it has negative impacts on local industries and workers. This essay will explore both perspectives before presenting my own view on the matter.**Body Paragraph 1 - Benefits of International Trade:**Advocates of international trade emphasize its numerous benefits.Firstly, it allows countries to specialize in producing goods and services that they have a comparative advantage in, leading to increased efficiency and productivity. This, in turn, results in lowerproduction costs and more competitive pricing, benefiting consumers worldwide.Additionally, international trade promotes economic growth, creates job opportunities, and fosters innovation through the exchange of ideas and technologies.**Body Paragraph 2 - Drawbacks of International Trade:**However, opponents argue that international trade can be detrimental to local industries and workers. They contend that globalization often leads to the outsourcing of jobs to countries with cheaper labor, causing unemployment and income inequality in the home country.Furthermore, local industries may struggle to compete with imported goods, leading to their decline and the loss of cultural diversity. This can have a ripple effect on the local economy, affecting not only workers but also small businesses and the community as a whole.**Body Paragraph 3 - Personal View:**In my opinion, while international trade does present challenges, its benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The key lies in implementing effective policies to mitigate the negative ernments can protect local industries by imposing tariffs or offering subsidies, ensuring a level playing field.Additionally, investing in education and retraining programs can help workers adapt to the changing jobmarket.Ultimately, embracing international trade can lead to a moreinterconnected and prosperous world, provided that measures are taken to address its shortcomings.**Conclusion:**In conclusion, international trade plays a crucial role in the global economy, offering numerous benefits while posing challenges to local industries and workers.By adopting appropriate policies and strategies, we can maximize the advantages of international trade while minimizing its drawbacks. This balanced approach will contribute to the overall growth and development of societies worldwide.---请注意,以上范文仅供参考,实际考试中请根据具体题目要求进行作答。

雅思作⽂范⽂【1】 题⽬:Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. 范⽂: People have different views about how much choice students should have with regard to what they can study at university. While some argue that it would be better for students to be forced into certain key subject areas, I believe that everyone should be able to study the course of their choice. There are various reasons why people believe that universities should only offer subjects that will be useful in the future. They may assert that university courses like medicine, engineering and information technology are more likely to be beneficial than certain art degrees. From a personal perspective, it can be argued that these courses provide more job opportunities, career progression, better salaries, and therefore an improved quality of life for students who take them. On the societal level, by forcing people to choose particular university subjects, governments can ensure that any knowledge and skill gaps in the economy are covered. Finally, a focus on technology in higher education could lead to new inventions, economic growth, and greater future prosperity. In spite of these arguments, I believe that university students should be free to choose their preferred areas of study. In my opinion, society will benefit more if our students are passionate about what they are learning. Besides, nobody can really predict which areas of knowledge will be most useful to society in the future, and it may be that employers begin to value creative thinking skills above practical or technical skills. If this were the case, perhaps we would need more students of art, history and philosophy than of science or technology. In conclusion, although it might seem sensible for universities to focus only on the most useful subjects, I personally prefer the current system in which people have the right to study whatever they like. 雅思作⽂范⽂【2】 题⽬:Some people who have been in prison become good citizens later, and it is often argued that these are the best people to talk to teenagers about the dangers of committing a crime. To what extent do you agree or disagree? 范⽂: It is true that ex-prisoners can become normal, productive members of society. I completely agree with the idea that allowing such people to speak to teenagers about their experiences is the best way to discourage them from breaking the law. In my opinion, teenagers are more likely to accept advice from someone who can speak from experience. Reformed offenders can tell young people about how they became involved in crime, the dangers of a criminal lifestyle, and what life in prison is really like. They can also dispel any ideas that teenagers may have about criminals leading glamorous lives. While adolescents are often indifferent to the guidance given by older people, I imagine that most of them would be extremely keento hear the stories of an ex-offender. The vivid and perhaps shocking nature of these stories is likely to have a powerful impact. The alternatives to using reformed criminals to educate teenagers about crime would be much less effective. One option would be for police officers to visit schools and talk to young people. This could be useful in terms of informing teens about what happens to lawbreakers when they are caught, but young people are often reluctant to take advice from figures of authority. A second option would be for school teachers to speak to their students about crime, but I doubt that students would see teachers as credible sources of information about this topic. Finally, educational films might be informative, but there would be no opportunity for young people to interact and ask questions. In conclusion, I fully support the view that people who have turned their lives around after serving a prison sentence could help to deter teenagers from committing crimes.【雅思写作task2范⽂「推荐」】相关⽂章:1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.。

1there has long been controversy over the legality and apparent acceptance of tobacco in society .some hold that cigarettes and other tobacco containing products should be banned, that is, treated as agree with this point of view for the following reasons:although cigarettes do not offer as intense an effect as drugs like heroin and cocaine, they rank higher in the level of dependence it creates in the of smokers try to rid themselves of cigarettes but cannot, because of the physiological dependence they developed, chiefly imputable to its chemical explains why smokers continue their habit despite the numerous health warnings. furthermore, medical science has now proved beyond a doubt that smoking all the other causes of preventable deaths such as alcohol, illegal drugs, aids, suicide, road accidents, fire, and guns, cigarettes still account for more preventable deaths than all of those combined.more disturbingly, whilst the use of heroin is dangerous solely to the users, the use of tobacco endangers those who are in their vicinity as well. this phenomenon, known as passive smoking, nulls the counter-argument that putting one's own health at risk through smoking should be up to one's own individual have shown that the amount of second-hand smoke inhaled by a typical nonsmoker is equivalent to one cigarette smoked per day,and what is more, passive smoking can increase a nonsmoker's chance of getting cancer by ten to thirty two per cent.there are those who will say that the black market created by outlawing tobacco will produce deadlier cigarettes because the product standards of the bootleggers are not as should all bear in mind that legal cigarettes cause roughly four hundred thousand deaths a is hard to imagine the limited distribution provided by the criminal underworld could compete with this tragic figure.to sum up, the harm visited upon our society by tobacco usage is will be no solution other than to control tobacco much in the same way that the government now controls drugs which could allow people to remain attentive to the seriousness of the effects of these substances, and hopefully to prohibit their usage. 2Nowadays, the gap between the city and the countryside becomes more and more overt, which arouses colossal concerns. To understand t he solution, let’s take a closer look at the causes of the gap at first. The main reason of the gap is the unequal investment between city and rural area. China is a typical example. While more and more money is being invested to the coastal areas and big cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai, the lack of investment barriers greatly the society development of rural area and western regionsThe low education level partly sharps the gap. There is no doubt that the prime force of productivity is education. However, because of poverty, thousands of people go to work without graduating from primary school. The poorer, the few children go to school. This bad cycle finally leads to the dream of rich becoming a dream that is hard to realize. Moreover, the rural area is short of people with high quality. A survey proved that most of university students, whether they come from city or countryside, choose big cities instead of poor areas to work. The rural area can neither adept talent man nor attract talent man. No wonder the gap is increasing largely.Hence, The government ought to knock itself out to decrease the gap as soon as possible. First, balance the investment between city and rural area. In addition, the education level should be improved, especially pay attention on raising high quality people. Besides, let more people realize the latent capacity of rural area in order to attract talent and investment. The set up of CCTV channel12-western region channel is a good example.Only when the ways mentioned above are realized step by step, can the gap between the cities and the countryside be bridged. 3the birth of cars have made an enormous change to our the past,we travel from one place to another only by foot, nowaday, cars can do it .its goes withour saying that the invention of cars bring great benefit to all of as proverb goes:no garden without is not exception.owing a car has a lot of one thing, car provide us the most convient way of can get around freely without spenting a lot of always found driving is so another, its the comfortable to drive a always can stay warm and dry even in rainy whether,in addition, drivers are usually safe in their cars when they are out at night.Cars bring the human merits, their side-effects graudually come to the run a car need a lot of oil, which is getting less and increasing number of cars contribute the lacking of more and more cars are used, the traffic ecpecially in big cities is getting heaver and heavier, which lead to the serious social problem--traffic addition, the inceasing numbers of cars ,which excaust sent a huge quantities of carbon monoxide into make the air of cities unbreathabe,it strip people contact with frensh air.therefore, the new energy should be explored to replace the oil so that our envionmental pollution can be avioded .and the strick law should be issued to keep the numbers of cars under heavier traffic can be solluted! 4Private cars vs Public trafficAs traffic problems become more and more serious in many cities of developed and developing countries, their governments have to try hard and loads of money and energy have been spent to deal with them.Firstly, it is not efficient for the commuters to use their private cars to and back from their workplaces. Occasionally we can see they have to sit on the wheels wasting time and fuel in a heavy traffic jam. At the same time, through burning the fossil fuels, green house gas CO2, CO1, acid rain gas SO2, fumes and dusts are being released into the atmosphere, all of which heavily overload the environment. Thirdly, with the increase of private cars, the road trafficaccidents are also rise dramatically. For example, in a city with 5000 cars, there will be at least 250 accidents happening everyday, which also burden the public healthy services. On the contrary, expected public traffic may be an ideal solution to these problems. For example city buses and railways are widely used or being constructed by many cities. People can take buses easily, which can be found every 10 minutes or less in the peak time. Actually, Nottingham Transport Company is building its own light railway in the city, which is announced by the speak man of the company, “It will be completed in the next year, the tickets will be very competitive and at the same time the travel will be very safe and comfortable.”On the other hand, public traffic had its own disadvantages. Usually it cannot provide door-to-door service. It is inconvenient to go shopping by public vehicles. Sometimes you must wait a long time for the train. And quite a lot of people prefer to enjoy driving. In conclusion, developing the public traffic is a useful approach to deal with these difficulties. One possible way, if not the best, is to taxi private cars heavily and use these revenues to provide citizens cheaper public traffic services. 5Nowhere in the world has the issue of tobacco been so much debated as inour society. Nowadays, tobacco is more harmful than drug to people’shealth, therefore many people think that smoking is legal that is a direct andprimary reason to induce this kind of problem. The above point is certainlytrue; this essay will outline three reasons. The main reason is that tobacco is a silent killer to smokers. Tobacco isknown to be the probable cause of some 25 different diseases, and for some, such as lung cancer, bronchitis and emphysema, it is the main cause.According to a WHO report four million people die yearly from tobacco-related diseases, that is one death every eight seconds. Tobacco is significantlybecoming a greater cause of death and disability than any other single cause.Another reason is that more and more young people are under 18 years old who smoke cigarette have been blinded by the deceit of tobacconists. Tobacco among adolescents remains stubbornly persistent. Smoking among adolescents rose in the 1990s in several developed countries, such as China,Vietnam and Thailand . While new markets are being opened by the tobacco industry actions, old markets have not been closed. Tobacco is a global threat.Last but not the least reason is the increase in cigarette smuggling. Becauseof tobacco smuggling, the legal retailing and distribution systems are badlyaffected, and faced with increased lawlessness and heavy tax losses. This behavior severely affects the economy. In conclusion, the tobacco should be considered illegal. Perhaps a pack ofcigarettes is less harmful than another drug, but tobacco is actually thebiggest killer of all the drugs. 6travelling to a different culture can be an overwhelming, indeed, even an intimidating is very easy for misunderstandings to occur, and tourists are often deterred from places of cultural interest through fear of offending the indigenous would argue,it is up to the locals to accomodate visitors by speaking their language, serving their cuisine, and generally making them 'at home'.without doing this, local perple can be considered as unfriendly and viewed with suspicion by they are dissuaded from staying, which is ultimately detrimental to the local community,as the tourists take their spending-money with them.the counterview argues that acting naturally does not necessarily equate with being a local person wishes to live their life as his or her ancestors have done for centuries then visitors should show respect and allow them to do fact, many would argue that immersing one's self in a different culture is vital in order to truly appreciate is gained bytravelling, potentially, thousands of miles to experience the same language, food and culture that could have been found a few miles down the road from one's is a waste ofmoney, nothing is learned from the experience, and the memories saved will be less vivid. this is the point of view i it is vital for many countries' economies to welcome tourists,it does not have to imitate them so as to encourage their travellers have the right mind-set and show respect, all they need to do is to let the locals carry out their day-to-day lives to gain many insights into the this way, visitor and host can mutually benefit each other, through an increased income, and an enriching experience,respectively. 7Recent years, because traffic is convenient day-by-day, people have a more chance to travel around the world. The plane can make us reach any corner of the earth in a short time. Some people think visitors to others countries should imitated local custom and behaviors. Some people disagree; they think the host country should welcome culture different. As the a famous saying goes: Do as they do at Rome. The knowledge of local custom can help outside person adapt to the new environment rapidly. Moreover, each place has the own unique culture, may keep in touch more ideology and culture through the local folkways and customs. For instance, a Chinese people came to Britain, he can imitate British life style. Inthis way, He can understand British habit more thoroughly, thus, make himself live a more comfortable life in Britain. On the other hand, the outside thought has a lot of positive influence on local culture too. For example, the outside thought could bring the new theory and inject vigor into local culture. The exchanges of outside thought and traditional culture can help people to find out about the culture of other areas and countries.Making a general survey of human history, it is a positive trend that the nationality has been merging all the time. So, we should not only propagate local culture for the outside people but also study outside culture and custom. In this way, the earth would become a family, all the people would get along harmoniously. 8nowaday,the culture shock exists between the tourists and host people consider should try to model themselves on the local culture and totally agree with the above point.firstlly,by abserving and understanding of local culture, the tourists can reduce the chance of offending the locals and misunderstanding consiously and manchu area of china, people think the dog is their you come there, you must always show respects and love to dog, otherwise it will lead to the embarrassment and conflict.secondly, understanding and following the activites of local people can show our respects to doing things with their way,we will be easy to establish the good relationship with local residents often feel friendly when their culture are imitated and are unconsiously bring us into the members of them.in addition, imitating can let us gain insigts into other not only can know whats people's life is like in other counties,we also can be enlarged our knowledge and broaded our horizon, which will be cherish wealth in our life.to sum should adjust themselves adapt to the local habits and customs, which will make them fully enjoy their travel and live in harmony! 9Along with the mass use of computer technology in education circles, we are delighted to witness the uncountable conveniences be brought by computer. Some people even argue that teacher will not be important in classroom any more. Is this reasonable? Personal speaking, I oppose holding such a ridiculous conclusion. In the first place, the feature of teaching defines teachers as an essential part in education. It is well known that teaching is a process of mutual-communication: firstly, teachersimpart/initiate knowledge or ideas to students, then students should promptly transfer their feedback to teachers, moreover, teachers will give students the final interpretation according to their specific requirement. Besides, teachers also can (teach students in accordance of their aptitude). In contrast, what computers can do is merely to display materials which havealready stored in their EMS memory or mechanically execute operator’s commands. We actually can not image what our education will being if computers substitute teachers totally. As to another reason, it seems that teacher’s role as a supervis or is more and more overt. Computer is indeed a controversy, it not only can be an efficient education assistant, but also can become an addiction which includes too much violent and (pornographic propaganda). Youngsters do not mature fully in psychology, therefore, without teachers' supervision, many children would spend hours playing computer games or surfing unhealthy websites, which are regarded as a waste of valuable time and intelligence, instead of trying to have a good command of knowledge and skills. We never deny that computers are absolutely an available education implements, furthermore, the combination of teacher and computer technology will greatly improve our education quality. However, from all of the grounds of argument mentioned above, we can safely draw a conclusion that teacher will not be replaced by computer in the classroom. 10Which element between nature and nurture plays the major role in children’s personality and development is always a controversial problem. Of course, which you prefer depends on your own experience, life style and emotional concern. Here, I would like to illustrate my point of view about it.Admittedly, different nature determines people have distinguished starting points in their lifetime. To beginning, i n light of medical research, a person’s blood type has considerable influence to his character. General speaking, for example, a person whose blood type is A means that his personality is amiable and tender probably. Besides, the physical condition, even a ppearance may influence a person’s development. Statistics shows that beautiful people are more confident than others, because they do not need to worry about the prejudice from public. Obviously, some parts of our personality have been decided when we born.On the other hand, although nature is important during the course of shaping personality, we cannot ignore another essential element, nurture. There are many factors which affect the development of children, both parental support and education being vital influence. It is reported that the kid whose parents are divorced is more likely has psychological troubles than those with a harmonious family. By contrast, as we all know, good education will positively cultivate a person’s personality and improve his self-restraint in a big way.In summary, from what has been discussed above, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that partly because of different nature, partly because of different nurture, people have their unique personality. 11The computer is widely used in education and some people think teachers are not playing an important role in the classroom. To what extend do you agree or disagree? With more and more extensive use of computers in education, some people claim that the importance attached to teachers has been jeopardized. Therefore, computers will replaceteachers in the classroom. However, it seems quite clear to me that learning from teachers is the most important way that cannot be substituted for students.Naturally, some people maintain that computer should instead of the old way of education. They hold that the strong function of the computer offers a new mode of education, which is more interesting, more vivid and more acceptable by children. The students will not face to the serious teachers and calm classes any more, which are replaced by a brand-new world offered by the Internet. In addition, this can decrease the investment on the foundational education and save the human resources and material resources. As an assistant, computers do help teachers with their work, but they can never replace the important role of a real teacher. The main functions of any computer are storage and calculation. It cannot think on its own anyway. All the teaching data stored in computers are the essence of teaching experience generalized by many teachers during their work. Hence, to assist education, what a computer can do is just to repeat the contents summarized by real teachers. In addition, each student has different talents and different defects, and accordingly, they may come across various problems during their study. Computer programmer designing the software, however, cannot predict these problems. Therefore, a single computer can never solve these problems without a teacher’s guidanceFurthermore, if the significance of teacher has been weakened, the number of teachers may be decreased, that is to say, many teachers may be laid-off. If such a case comes to reality, series of social problems will break out, such as the drop of working opportunity which will surely make the burden of whole society become heavier and heavier. In conclusion, although computer-aided-education has spread widely, teachers still play s crucial part in the classroom, which cannot and will not be replaced by computer. 12In this IT age, computers are widely used in the classroom in order to enrich the methods of teaching. This phenomenon gives some the illusion that the thing teaching students is no longer the teacher but a computer. Personally, I disagree with this opinion. As another machines, computer doesn’t enable to control itself. Though computers are capable of learning from their mistakes and improving on their performance, they need details instructions from human being in order to be able to operate. They can never, as it were lead independent lives, no mention teaching students. In case a computer lacks the control of a teacher, there is no difference between a computer and waste. Not only this, but computers, unlike a teacher, can’t solve a variety of new problems. Everything is developing in today’s society, including education. For example, a student suddenly asks a creative question that the computer isn’t programmed for, it can do nothing, while teacher can explain clearly though abundant teaching experience.Last but not least, the computer can’t communicate with students from emotion. Such as an eyesight or gesture of teacher can transfer his or her idea and feeling to students. In this way, students can feel more human touch in the class. In comparison, the computer is too dry and dusty to understand. All in all, no matter how nice a computer is, it can’t take the place of teacher. Of course, I don’t mean that computer is useless. In contrary, I believe it will become the most powerful assistants to teacher in further. 13Computer, the most exciting and significant invention in 20 century, will reshape our lives and our world. As a result, some people proclaim that computers should be involved into our classroom, and replace the roles of human teachers. However, I cannot agree with their point of view.Admittedly, as the useful tools, computers can become the optimum assistants for human teachers in the classroom. To beginning, vivid pictures shown on screen can motivate students’ interest and curiosity dramatically. Moreover, the combination of computers and Internet can provide children the abundant information. Although computers enjoy considerable merits, they cannot compare with human teachers for two main reasons. Among countless factors which influence my inclination, there is a most conspicuous one: computers are not as qualified as human teachers in academic fields. As we all know, students can get the final result of a mathematic question under the help of computers, however, they are still confused on the whole computing process. By contrast, our human teachers’ performance is much better in those cases. They not only can teach students how to analyze and compute the question, but also can remind them what are the possible errors that they may meet. Thus, human teachers are more adequate than computers in academic aspect. The second advantage of human teachers is they can guide students to deal with some psychological problems that they meet in schools. In China, sometimes, teachers even burden many responsibilities that students’ parents have. For example, as for the student with rebellious spirit, the important duty for teachers is to prevent the student from campus violence, even crime. Obviously, computers cannot do that.In summary, from what has been discussed above, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that the positions of human teachers are unshakable, and computers cannot take the places of them.。

Describe a special day that you went out but didnt spend much moneyYou should say:What day it wasWhere you wentWhat you didWho you were with1-4月雅思口语part2范文:花销不大的一天(a special day that you went out but didnt spend much money)当一谈到开销不大(花费不大)的一次特殊的外出,我想说的是我去华山的一次经受。
When it comes to a special day out that didn’t cost too much, well, I would like to talk about a trip I had to the Huashan Mountain, which is located in the Hua County, somewhere in the east of Xi’an.
那天真的是那一年里耗费劲气最多的一天,但是肯定值了!I remember it was a summer day before my first semester of college in Xi’an that I went there for the first time. A military officer who once worked with my father in the army invited our family to have a one-day trip to this world-renowned scenic spot. We got up extremely early in the morning like 5 pm and drove to the foot of the mountain and began climbing. The mountain wasn’t like the traditional single peak one, it’s actually kind of a combination of many. We climbed all four summits at one go. That’s was probably the most energy-consuming activity during that whole year, but it’s definitely worth it!

雅思作文例讲(一)1) After birth ---- what will play a major role in one’s personality and development? Nature or Nurture? While many individuals complain that they are not sufficiently clever to succeed in life, I firmly believe that personality and development are decided more by education and training after birth than any given gene.To begin with, environment is a determining factor of one’s personality. One may think that personality is already shaped once a baby was born, but in fact are many contributing factors. The baby, for instance, would most likely be pessimistic if he or she lived in a poor family, where the baby always received punishment from his parents. His view of life would be very different from another individual who lived happily in a perfect nurturing family with encouragement and psychological support from his parents.Further, education after birth plays a significant role in one’s development. Education, which helps children develop their thinking and accumulate their knowledge, is a deciding factor of one’s success. For example, a high-school level person commonly may not succeed to the extent of a person who has received a university education. This is not only because of the greater breadth of knowledge acquired, but also due to a more critical and focused way of thinking that is imparted and refined during ones senior education. A wolf child, to offer another instance, due to a deficiency of education by contact with human beings, could hardly live in our society or self-develop.Admittedly, nature, decided by the genes given by one’s parents, also affects one’s personality and development. One can clearly find differences among younger kids in their learning ability, which could prove the importance of genes in this regard. However, when compared with other factors after birth, the role of genes play in one’s personality and development may not be particularly significant. Not all genius will inevitably be successful, and similarly not all great men are genius in their childhood. Therefore, I hold that environment and education after birth weigh heavier than nature in regard to one’s personality and development.2) In Britain, when someone gets old they often go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes the government has to pay for this care. Who should be responsible for our old people? Give reason for your answer. One of the most challenging problems of today’s society is the question of who should be responsible for our elderly. It is not only a financial problem but also a question of the system we want for our society. I would like to discuss four possible models in this essay.First, the employer could be responsible for its retired employees. To make this possible, a special fund could be established. The advantage of this model is that it should be the least expensive solution provided under capitalism. But one possible problem does emerge. When a company must take life-long responsibility for its employees, it may suffer from a competitive disadvantage due to higher employee costs.Second, the government could take responsibility for the care of the elderly. This could be financed through tax revenues. Although this has often been an integral part of socialism, it is actually a very democratic approach. In this model, each person would receive equal treatment. Unfortunately, as the present situation in our country shows, this is not a truly viable solution. The government can seldom afford to care for the elderly, particularly when it is busy trying to care the young.Another way of solving the problem is to return the responsibility to the individual. This means each person must save during his working years to pay for his years of retirement. This does not seem a very fair model since some people have enough trouble paying for their daily life without trying to earn a third extra to cover their retirement years. This means the government might have to step in to care for the needy. One further solution is a return to the old social system based on the extended family. In this model, the family cares for its elderly members. However, this system does not seem to fit the modern social structure in which families are more mobile and based on a nuclear setup. In fact, I must admit that I have no definite solution for this problem. Each of the models I have presented has both advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that some combination of these models may be needed to provide the care we hope to give to our elderly generations.。
