当时我就拿出纸笔,把机器上所有的英文和工人说的中文都记了下来,休息时全部在字典中查了出来,并牢牢记住了它们的意思,再开始工作时,我就找机会问工人这些词对应的是机器的哪一部分,我也抽老外有空的时候向他请教各种专业知识。
不到三天的时间,机器各部位的名称和工作原理我都了如指掌,再有工人问我时,我就不会不心慌气短,慢慢地也能应付自如了。
对于翻译,英译汉还基本可以,汉译英真是让人不知所措。
一个中文词在英语中有很多表述法,选择适当的词义就成了令我头疼的一件事,这特别考验一个人的应变能力。
有一件让我特别难忘的事,就是我做了一次会议主翻译。
