大纲的各项规定可作为大学英语教学安排、教材编写、教学质量检查的依据。
一、教学对象本课程为公共英语课,教学对象是浙江广播电视大学非英语专业的学生。
二、教学目的大学英语教学的目的是,培养学生具有较强的阅读能力和一定的听、说、写、译能力,使他们能用英语交流信息。
大学英语教学应帮助学生掌握良好的语言学习方法,打下扎实的语言基础,提高文化素养,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要。
三、教学要求本课程采用由宁春岩主编,由高等教育出版社出版的《大学体验英语》系列教材第一册。
本课程参照《大学英语教学大纲》对各级的要求,分为1—6级。
每级由《综合教程》、《扩展教程》、《听说教程》以及配套的多媒体学习课件、网络课程以及电子教案等组成。
教学要求如下:1、词汇:在二级的基础上掌握550-600单词(其中18%可通过泛读和其他学习项目掌握) 以及由这些单词构成的常用词组。
对其中300左右的常用词要求拼写正确,并掌握它们的基本用法。
2、读:精读量:7000-8000词;泛读量:30000-35000词。
能正确理解与课文难度相仿的文章。
学会基本阅读技能,阅读速度达到每分钟65词。
阅读难度略低、生词不超过总词数3%的材料,速度达到每分钟65词,理解准确率以70%为合格。
3、听:能听懂英语讲课及简短会话、谈话和讲座,抓住中心大意、要点和有关细节,领会作者观点和态度。
对题材熟悉、句子结构比较简单、基本上没有生词、语速每分钟约120词的听力材料, 两遍可以听懂, 理解准确率以70%为合格。
4、写:能在阅读难度与课文相仿的书面材料时做笔记、回答问题和写提纲,能就一定的话题和提纲在半小时内写出100词左右的短文,能写短信和便条。
表达意思清楚,无重大语法错误。
5、说:能进行简单的日常会话, 能就教材内容作简短问答和复述。
能就熟悉的话题作简短发言,表达思想基本清楚。
四、教学安排学期总学时综合教程课程应不少于72学时,每周应不低于4学时。
听说课程不少于36学时,每周不低于2学时。
地方电大可根据实际情况适当增加学时, 课内外学习时数的比例应不低于1:2。
五、测试1、测试是检查教学大纲执行情况、评估教学质量的一种有效手段,是获取教学反馈信息的主要来源和改进教学工作的重要依据。
语言测试应重点考核学生的语言基础和语言应用能力。
测试要做到科学、公平和规范。
2、本课程的测试按教学大纲的要求进行,每学期安排一次,由浙江广播电视大学统一命题。
期末测试内容紧密结合所学的教材,尽量结合大学英语水平等级考试的题型。
期末测试成绩占学期总成绩的80%。
,平时成绩占20%,由地方电大的英语老师给出平时成绩,记入学期总成绩。
(平时成绩=形成性考核成绩,由书面作业和口试两部分组成)3、各地方电大可以统一组织学生参加省内三级水平测试。
有条件的电大应组织学生参加四级水平测试。
六、教学原则与方法建议1、重视打好语言基础,注意提高文化素养。
大学英语教学必须把重点放在打好语言基础上。
语言基础包括语言知识和语言应用能力,前者指语音、语法和词汇等方面的知识,后者指综合运用这些知识进行读、听、说、写、译等语言活动的能力。
正确的语音语调、扎实的语法、一定的词汇量和熟练的词汇运用能力的提高有助于提高外语学习的效率,有利于提高语言运用能力。
语言运用能力的提高又必将促进语言知识的加深和巩固。
大学英语教学还应有助于学生开阔视野,扩大知识面,加深对世界的了解,借鉴和吸收外国文化的精华,提高文化素养。
文化与语言有密切的联系,一定的文化背景知识有助于促进语言应用能力的提高。
2、重视培养实际运用语言进行交际的能力。
语言是交际工具,语言教学的最终目标是培养学生以书面或口头方式进行交际的能力。
因此,在教学过程中既要传授必要的语言知识,也要引导学生运用所学的语言知识和技能进行广泛的阅读和其他语言交际活动。
教学活动要有利于语言技能的培养和功能意念的理解及表达。
不仅要重视句子水平上的语言训练,还要逐步发展在语篇水平上进行交际的能力。
3、确处理阅读与听、写、说的关系。
培养学生具有较强的阅读能力是本课程教学的主要目标。
阅读是掌握语言知识、打好语言基础、获取信息的重要渠道。
阅读能力是大部分学生今后工作所需的重要语言技能。
因此在教学中要始终注重阅读能力的培养。
但是,随着国际交往的日益扩大,视听资料的逐步普及,以及学生入学时英语水平的不断提高,发展学生的听、写、说的能力不仅十分必要,而且也有了可能。
同时,从语言教学的规律来看,阅读与听、写、说的关系是相辅相成的,加强听、写、说的训练,不仅不会削弱阅读能力,而且会有助于阅读能力的提高。
因此,在教学中除了注重对学生阅读能力的培养外,还要培养学生一定的听、写、说的能力。
当然,要求要恰当,不能脱离实际。
4、努力提高学生运用语言的流利程度。
在培养读、听、写、说的技能时,既要注意准确,又要重视流利。
准确和流利是相辅相成的两个方面,没有准确,流利便失去基础;没有流利,便难以有效地进行交际。
在教学中,要处理好两者的关系。
5、根据实际情况确定教学方法。
各种教学方法都是一定历史背景和社会环境下的产物。
本课程的教学要立足各地电大的实际,根据不同对象、不同教学要求和不同阶段,采用不同的教学方法。
但不论采用何种教学方法,都要注意调动学生的积极性和主动性,培养学生的自学能力和独立工作能力,鼓励和引导学生积极参加课内外各种语言交际活动。
6、用英语组织教学。
教师要尽量用英语组织教学,以创造语言环境,使学生多接触英语,增强语感。
必要时也可利用本族语进行讲解和英汉对比,但是要防止过多地使用本族语,以免影响英语读、听、写、说等技能的训练和提高。
7、充分利用现代教育技术,正确处理好多种媒体教材之间的关系。
教学过程中应正确处理好多种媒体教材(录音、录像和CAI课件)与面授辅导课的关系。
录音、录像和CAI课件的使用要有机地纳入整个课程的教学计划,与文字教材配合使用。
实践证明,现代化的教学手段,如录音、录像、电影、电视、网络以及多媒体课件的使用有助于提高英语教学质量,在教学辅导过程中要采取措施大力推广、合理使用这些教学手段。
8、积极开展课外活动要搞好英语教学,不能局限于课内。
还要创造条件引导学生开展丰富多彩的英语课外活动,以便提高学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性。
要积极优化各地电大辅导站的英语学习环境,通过英语报刊、英语角、英语演讲、英语竞赛等形式多样的课外活动,使学生有更多的接触英语的机会。

《大学体验英语》不仅注重语言技能的训练,更注重这些技能的实际运用。
以任务为主线进行教材的编排,使课文和练习成为一个有机的整体,有利于培养学生实际使用英语进行涉外交际的能力。
2.强调交际内容的实用性。
《大学体验英语》在选材中注重思想性、现代性和科学性。
教材立足于前瞻及今后若干年中英语教学的任务与发展方向,加强趣味性和可操作性。
文章短小精悍,易于学习、操练。
为了突出英语作为涉外交际的工作语言这一特点,本教程还特别强调交际内容的实用性,而且听、说、读、写、译各项技能的培养与训练都围绕着同一交际话题展开。
3.课堂教学与自主学习相结合。
《大学体验英语》充分注重课堂教学与课外自主学习相结合,使课堂教学的内容在课外得以延展。
《大学体验英语》的《综合教程》(Integrated Book)和《听说教程》(Listeningand Speaking)主要用于课堂教学,《扩展教程》(Extended Book)供学生自主学习使用。
二者紧密配合,相辅相成。
4.重视文化教学,培养“跨文化意识”。
跨文化交际中的文化因素在外语教学中具有特殊的意义。
《大学体验英语》注意语言材料与文化内容的融合,注意对西方文化背景的介绍与教学,专门设计的“文化沙龙”模块就是其特点之一。
5.“教、学、考”相互照应。
《大学体验英语》的《扩展教程》(Extended Book)专门设计了自测题,供学生自我检测学习《综合教程》和《扩展教程》的效果。
6.立体化教材为英语学习提供了全方位的服务。
《大学体验英语》是包括文字板、网络板、多媒体课件、电子教案、录音磁带等在内的立体式系列教程,为英语教学网络化及使用媒体等现代化教学手段提供了立体、互动的英语教学环境。
7.图文并茂,板式新颖。
《大学体验英语》有大量与主题相关的启发性强的图片,为语言学习提供了形象的立体的训练情景,加强了学生对学习和使用语言的实际体验。
二、进度计划及时间安排大学体验英语共开设一个半学年, 安排在第一至第三学期。
每学期综合教程应不少于72学时,每周不低于4学时;听说教程应不少于36学时,每周不低于2学时。
地方电大可根据实际情况适当的调整, 课内外学习时数的比例应不低于1:2。
三、作业安排和平时成绩为了督促并检测学生平时的学习,本课程实行形成性考核与终结性测试方式。
形成性考核由学生平时书面作业和期末口试组成,共计20分,占学期总成绩的20%。
其中每学期要安排不少于3次的书面作业,共15分(5分/每次),并要求教师对平时作业进行评改,并给出对学生今后学习有指导性的评语;期末口试为5分,题目由地方电大自定。
书面作业成绩和口试成绩均登记在学生平时成绩表上,作为评定平时成绩的依据,以保证平时成绩的科学性、可靠性。
教师登记的成绩不能随意修改。
教师的批改也要作为评价其工作的依据(见附表)。
四、测试1、测试是检查教学大纲执行情况、评估教学质量的一种有效手段,是获取教学反馈信息的主要来源和改进教学工作的重要依据。
语言测试应重点考核学生的语言基础和语言应用能力。
